This Pisces Full Moon Lunar Eclipse felt less like a single moment in time and more like a conversation unfolding around me.
Perhaps it began long before I arrived in Yosemite.
Three years ago, beneath this same late-August Full Moon, my beloved rabbit companion Astrid transitioned. There are certain dates the heart remembers differently than the calendar does, and this one has remained quietly alive within me ever since.
So returning to the wild beneath this Moon already carried something tender and meaningful.
We went to Yosemite to meet friends for a week of camping, hiking, exploring, and simply disappearing from the usual rhythms of life for a while.
I also arrived with clear intentions for the eclipse and several things close to my heart for which I had been asking for guidance.
Each day became its own little pilgrimage.
We wandered trails into beautiful places, gathering pieces of quartz that called to us along the way. When we reached the alpine lakes waiting at the end of our journeys, we returned the crystals to the water with our intentions.
Earth back to Earth.
A simple exchange of gratitude, prayer, and possibility as the Full Moon approached.
And other things began finding their way to us, too.
A handful of grounding obsidian. Beautiful stones that seemed impossible not to notice, including one shaped like a nearly perfect pyramid and another carrying three distinct pyramids that astonishingly mirrored the three Great Pyramids of Giza.
Feathers appeared at meaningful moments, including a Great Horned Owl tail feather on our very first day.
The night before the eclipse was anything but quiet.
Coyotes howled and yipped through the darkness around us, their voices weaving through the forest for hours and continuing remarkably into the wee hours of morning.
Then that morning before the Full Moon Eclipse, we were sitting beside the campfire when KC – aka Bean – suddenly pointed.
“Bear.”
A large black bear was sauntering directly toward us.
There was no urgency in her. No apparent concern. She seemed completely at ease, as though wandering over to join our morning gathering was the most natural thing in the world.
Of course, we made noise to discourage her from coming closer. Loving wild animals also means respecting the boundaries that help keep them wild and safe.
But something about her presence stayed with me.
Bears are so often interpreted through the language of strength, courage, protection, power, introspection, or hibernation.
Yet that wasn’t what I felt.
What struck me was her complete lack of performance.
She wasn’t trying to embody power.
She simply was powerful.
There was an extraordinary peace in that.
A confidence without assertion. A strength without tension. A presence that didn’t seem to require anything outside itself for confirmation.
Embodied peace.
Perhaps one of the deepest expressions of power is not needing to demonstrate that we possess it.
Many deer appeared along the hike that followed, adding their own gentle presence to a morning that already felt touched by something larger. The renewing presence of deer continued to grace us each day, in fact.
Then, on the morning of the Full Moon, after I had specifically asked again for signs and guidance, another Great Horned Owl feather appeared alongside a beautiful piece of obsidian in a place I never would have expected to find it.
I didn’t need to decide immediately what any of it meant.
The simple fact that I had asked and then encountered these things directly after was enough.
And then the weather began changing our plans.
Large storms were moving toward Yosemite, and after our hike that morning, we abruptly decided to pack everything and leave rather than remain for the days of heavy weather ahead.
We finished loading the car just as the rain began.
Three-plus hours later, we arrived home in time for the sky to erupt into one of the most spectacular sunsets—a fiery, passionate blaze stretching across the horizon that uncannily mirrored a nearly exact sunset that lit up the sky the night before leaving for Yosemite.
Just before reaching fullness, the Moon had risen with such brilliance that she seemed almost like the Sun, illuminating the night sky and softening even the stars within her radiance.
Yet on the night of her fullness and eclipse, she appeared differently.
That night, I stayed awake and continued getting up to meet the Moon.
She glowed behind a mysterious moving curtain of clouds, appearing and disappearing throughout the night.
There was something strangely perfect about the contrast. At one moment, illumination so brilliant it transformed the darkness around her. At another, the same light partially veiled.
I had entered this eclipse asking for clarity, messages, and guidance. Yet the Moon herself seemed unwilling to reveal everything at once.
Her light was unmistakably there.
But clarity remained partially veiled.
And perhaps that was part of the answer.
Some knowing doesn’t arrive as immediate revelation. Sometimes we are asked to feel what has shifted before we understand what it means—to allow the heart to hold something the mind cannot yet name.
The following day brought rain at home as well, but we were still able to continue our time with our friends. Rather than planning anything ambitious, we chose an easy walk before lunch and errands.
That seemingly ordinary choice became anything but ordinary.
Up ahead, I spotted a mama bear.
And then her two cubs.
We stopped at a respectful distance and watched as the little ones ran, played, wrestled, and scrambled up trees while their mother remained nearby.
She was watchful and protective, yet what moved me most was the joy unfolding around her.
Watching them shifted something in the usual symbolism of protection for me.
Protection is so often imagined as guarding against danger. Building walls. Keeping something precious from harm.
But perhaps there is another form of protection.
We protect joy by helping create the conditions in which joy can exist.
We protect love by giving it room to express itself.
We protect what matters not only by defending it, but by nourishing the environment in which it can flourish.
Mama Bear wasn’t preventing her cubs from exploring because something might happen to them.
She was present enough for them to play.
Her strength created room for their freedom.
And suddenly the bears seemed to be speaking to one another across these encounters.
The first bear had embodied a power so completely at home within itself that it needed no performance.
The mother bear embodied a power secure enough to become spaciousness for joy.
Presence and creation. Peace and play. Power without force. Protection without constriction.
But apparently the conversation wasn’t finished.
After watching the mother and cubs for a long while, we finally continued back. Along the way, KC suddenly spotted another large solitary bear among the trees before it disappeared into the forest.
Four bears that day.
We could hardly believe it.
Later, we returned home, settled into the coziness of the rain, and played cards together.
Then Clint – aka Happy – noticed something just outside.
Another large resident bear we’ve seen before was making his way across the street and into a neighboring backyard.
Five bears in one day.
Six surrounding the eclipse.
The following day carried us onto new trails we had never explored together, chasing waterfalls and climbing to great heights to reach them. There was something beautifully fitting about continuing into the unknown this way, discovering what waited beyond each rise rather than needing to know beforehand.
And still, the bears remained with me.
For us, seeing even one bear is an extraordinary gift. Six arriving within such a concentrated threshold felt impossible to ignore – a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
And perhaps I don’t need to decide exactly what it means.
That itself feels connected to what this eclipse has been showing me.
We had gathered together at the peak of the eclipse and placed our intentions consciously into this threshold. I had asked for messages around things deeply important in my own life.
And messages came.
Just not as neatly packaged answers.
They came as coyotes calling through darkness.
Quartz gathered along the trails and returned to mountain lakes.
A handful of grounding obsidian appearing along the way.
A piece of obsidian naturally shaped by the Earth into a form that mirrored an ancient arrowhead.
Beautiful stones, including a nearly perfect pyramid and another carrying three pyramids mirroring the Great Pyramids of Giza.
Feathers appearing at meaningful moments.
A Great Horned Owl feather and an unexpected piece of obsidian arriving together on the Full Moon morning after I had asked for signs.
A bear walking peacefully toward a morning fire.
Pairs and triads of deer moving through the forest.
Tiny tree frogs somehow at home within the vastness of the world more than 10,600 feet above it.
Storms changing our plans.
Bookended and mirroring, fiery passionate sunsets seeing us off and waiting at home.
Rainbow winged clouds greeting us upon entry into Yosemite’s epic vastness.
A Moon repeatedly disappearing behind clouds.
A mother bear creating enough safety for her children to play.
Bears appearing again and again.
And dreams.
So many dreams.
Each night while camping and again after returning home, I remembered vivid dreams filled with remarkable threads of telepathy, communication, and messages that felt intimately connected to what has been moving through my waking life.
Something has shifted.
I can feel it even without being able to explain where it is leading.
And woven quietly through everything is Astrid.
Three years after she left her physical body beneath this late-August Full Moon, I found myself beneath it again surrounded by wild beings, mysterious communication, thresholds, endings, beginnings, and a love that has never depended upon physical presence to remain alive.
I can’t say where she ends and synchronicity begins.
I’m not sure I need to.
Perhaps love has its own language for continuing.
The eclipse has passed, but its unfolding has not.
I have no idea what may manifest next.
Nor do I know what the coming weeks and months will bring.
But something about these bears has changed the way I am holding that unknown.
The first didn’t ask permission to inhabit his presence.
The mother didn’t protect joy by containing it. She created enough safety for it to run wild.
And none of them seemed concerned with becoming anything other than completely what they were.
Perhaps this is the bear medicine I needed.
Not simply strength.
Not retreat.
Not protection as we usually understand it.
But the quiet power of being so deeply rooted within ourselves that we can create from peace rather than fear.
To become protectors of joy by becoming creators of it.
To trust what we know without forcing what we cannot yet see.
And to inhabit our own lives so completely that we no longer need to chase what is meant to meet us.
It doesn’t take much to make an impact. Small acts of kindness go along way – even farther than you’ll ever know, nor need to. A simple smile, hello, or telling someone they’re beautiful or that you appreciate them can change the course of that person’s life just when they need it most.
You might never know how your little bit of heartfelt compassion will affect someone, but doing something “just because” is where the most value is. Only the ego needs to understand the result. The higher self and heart already know the intrinsic value that goes without mention.
Just recently, as Dave’s life has shifted tremendously with his work coming to closure, he’s been exploring and discovering new parts of himself that desire an outlet of expression. Like many of us, life shifts are anchoring and taking on new meaning and so, too, has he been enjoying the organic process of how that is evolving.
It’s been heart-warming and sweet to watch Dave’s unfolding creative soul finding a new voice. And while this will continue to shift, as they always do once we embrace and take action on what is showing up in the moment, the joy he is experiencing is the same I know others are and will from what he’s putting out.
Just recently, on his own, he supported the nudge he got to start painting rocks and pieces of wood he found with simple messages and joyous images to leave on the trails we hike daily.
He was looking into buying some paints, but I told him he could just share mine. I was excited to supply him with the tools, including some inside pointers on using them and a lot of encouraging support with his idea. I happen to be working on two commissioned art projects currently, so we’re both in artsy mode, together, right now.
This is the first time I’ve ever seen him paint, let alone draw. And how sweet it was to watch!
I love what he’s created so far. He even made two rocks inspired by our rabbits, Cosmo and Joy, and some inspired by our Russian tortoise, Gaia.
He even included a bear, which is interesting because bear energy, as you might recall me sharing has been so prominent in my life this year both in the most recurring dream themes and in real-life sightings. And, just a couple of nights ago, bear returned again in an interesting unfolding that included a specific interaction with Dave – unbeknownst to him until I told him, but he’d already created the bear rock above.
So far he’s left two on a recent trail we did before the snow storm. I just had to document it for him, as you can see in these photos of him placing them for people to see along the trail.
Part of the fun, he said, is that the rocks will go to whom they are meant to be with. Being observant is part of that process and the rest is about alignment.
Some people may even just receive the message in heart, but decide to leave them there for other fellow explorers to discover as well.
It was almost like an Easter egg hunt with him placing them in different spots, except the rocks are not hidden. They are deliberate in terms of passing along a message and a smile.
I won’t say where these first ones were placed, but if you’re local to the area, you just might find one along a trail you explore.
He painted several more, some of which we’re taking with us on our upcoming road trip we’re leaving for tomorrow, so that he can place them on trails at our destination, too.
Spreading small acts of kindness through the creative heart is one way you can add a little light in someone’s life.
You might recall that while on our Magick Bus adventure, while gypsy-living in an rv for nearly two years, I started creating Magick Stones from the beautiful rock beings that spoke to me on our journeys.
I love that Dave came up with his own expression of rock art and how he wanted to share joy, peace, patience, and love with others – who knows what other messages he will add too! It’s fun seeing him having fun and letting his inner child out more and more.
I want this to be his project, but I did find just one rock that spoke to me while he was gathering rocks and wood for himself – it was a heart-shaped rock that felt important to share too.
And so I painted this stone yesterday before working on a mini wood portal painting, to add to his that we’ll be dispersing along trails on our mini vacation away.
I love the idea of merging our creative, child-like hearts.
So, yes, I’ll be away between the 12th (tomorrow) and 17th of this month, which put a short delay on sharing the new offerings I mentioned because of preparations and work I needed to get done. I’ve also been working on a couple of commissioned art projects and so my days have been full alongside enjoying snow shoeing adventures from our recent storm. I’m actually going to be doing a little fun work on this trip, as the energy of where we’re headed feels to be inspiring for both painting and idea-flow. So, there’s potential I might share a blog one time while I’m away. Otherwise, we’ll be immersing in our own personal journey this week to both celebrate and receive guidance on what’s to come.
Never underestimate the power of a simple act or expression. If your heart is nudging you to do something, do it. It could change someone’s life, including your own.
Living here is such an incredible reminder of what is possible in terms of creating and manifesting reflections of my heart’s desires and having the peace I feel within, mirrored to me. When I first saw this house, despite knowing we would be doing a complete internal demolish and remodel, I knew the footprint, its energy, the layout, and the essence of the land here was meant for us. I always felt the end result and not the process and the Faeries kept reiterating this to me with signs, messages, and to continue to trust even when challenges arose. They told me to be patient and they would handle the details, which they did and have.
Although we’re still in remodeling mode, the major work is starting to wind down and we’re beginning to see the fruits of our labor come together.
This includes the magick of the forest land we sit on and our expansive forest backyard.
Yesterday our contractors left early so we had opportunity just before sunset to do a short hike out back. All of the photos you see here are of this trail we took from our home.
We have a whole grid work of hiking/biking trails right off our deck and yesterday we discovered a new one, which was this big loop that takes us through the forest, across a creek, along it, then through meadows, and back into the woods and along a second creek that then returns us home.
It was gorgeous and the light of the day had an aura of golden glow that just lit everything up with enchantment.
Soon this whole area will be covered in thick blankets of snow and we’ll be able to wander to our heart’s content on snow shoes. Dave intends to try out cross country skiing too, which will be perfect here as well.
To have this as our backyard is just incredible. I would say “pinch me,” but I know I’m not dreaming.
It’s taken me nearly 45 years of my life to get here, but it’s been worth the work and wait. Couldn’t have happened at a better time and goes again to show you that all things have their divine alignments, as now is when this all means the most to me and supports the next phase of life I’m entering.
It’s been an incredibly busy month both in our personal and professional lives here and yet also incredibly rich with so much new sprouting, planting of seeds, anchoring of new cycles, and putting dreams into motion. This is a short update and words of inspiration before this Faery goes Down Under, as I’m immersed in things here before I leave for 19 days until 5/28 – traveling on Wednesday May 10th’s Full Moon in fact (known as the Full Flower or Big Leaf Moon) and will be in Australia for the New Moon of May 25th too, which is so cool. You’ll be able to follow along my travels via Instagram and Facebook, but I will not be available via text, phone, nor instant messaging. I’m keeping things simple with just wi-fi while away and will check emails now and then, but mostly only sharing quick inspirational photos of travels via social media.
I’m unclear whether I’ll put together any big blog when I return like I usually do from travels – maybe just a summary take-away. I will see how the moment moves me when things take place, but quick shares are much more conducive to my life these days than long recounts of experiences unless I really have the time.
The energy has felt very potent the last few days and I’ve felt to be in preparation for this trip energetically. My body seems to be recalibrating to a lot of new as well as has been channeling a lot of energy and downloads, so I’ve been resting when prompted, which is unusual for me who never takes naps. I continue to experience massive synchronicities, instant manifestation, and how everything I write about happens in the real world while I’m writing it.
I did a powerful Reiki Healing Attunement a few days ago and within hours everything I did it for came to be. (Another of my reminder nudges that if you have this as a tool, or any other tools you’ve learned, please don’t forget to use them, as they are powerful, but not only that, it’s your way of meeting intention with action and owns that you’re a co-creative partner who’s stepping up!)
Anyway, my writing has been going excellent, despite the full schedule of things, but also because of the full schedule and my honoring my body’s needs, the strong sense I had about a week ago that the last part would be written upon return from Australia has come to be. I got the message that there is something in Australia that will shift within me and open me to the conclusion of my book, so to just keep a healthy pace with writing and the timing would reveal itself.
Everyone has their own way of writing, but for me it hasn’t been an outlined plan, nor did I know the story until it wrote itself. So basically when I sit down each day, the material is channeled. I don’t try to foresee or start writing parts of it in my head. At the end of the day I let it be and start fresh the next…and then it flows when it is ready. So it’s very alive and has been a super fun process for me.
So I will basically have it all done before I leave except the very last part, which will conclude the week I return. I’m super excited! Again, this is only the first draft, which means I have much editing and what-not to do.
I’ll also be getting back to some Magick Crystal Wand creating when I return, but I’ve concluded my client work this week and will be immersed in my dreams, as well as welcoming in a new co-partner into my life when back! Yay!
Quick update on Dave’s speaking tour in Australia for Voiceless – it’s been going amazing. I’ve heard feedback from others in Australia and via social media on how awesome his talks have been. Very proud of him. He’s had quite a busy tour with just the first weekend he arrived in Sydney and this weekend off in Tasmania to explore (he said the MONA Museum there is the most incredible museum he’s ever been to and like a Disneyland for adults) before he completes his last four talks this week, back-to-back. He’s already done three for full rooms in Perth, Adelaide, and Sydney. He’ll be concluding with Hobart, Canberra, Brisbane, and Melbourne. In between talks he’s been in media interviews and been enjoying the local vegan food. An article he wrote came out in The Age last week, as well as an article in The Guardian was done on his talk and came out a couple of days ago, with another from The Guardian from a post-talk interview with him due out in a few weeks by them as well. Busy guy!
Looking forward to joining him in Melbourne shortly for our adventure exploring the area between there and Brisbane.
Until, then, here’s some last words before I go.
I posted these photos of my Selenite Spiral Unicorn Horn Wand because it’s been one of the supportive energies for me during my time alone and writing, along with my newly created Faery Succulent Crystal Gardens and some other magickal friends. But more importantly I’m sharing them for inspiration to ignite the dreamer within you to focus and act upon those dreams. Besides we could all use a little Unicorn magick in remembering who we really are.
Unicorns help make your dreams a reality – taking you on a freeing ride beyond limitations and beyond the wildest parts of your imagination.
They are masters of the light and transformation who can bestow the gifts of magick to those who are pure of heart, or who commit to a life of pure expression.
These mystical beings help us to believe that anything is possible and support us to do what is thought to be impossible.
Life is fleeting…a blink of an eye…yet many of us keep pushing off the things in life we know in our hearts we would love to experience AND came here to experience.
Tomorrow is no guarantee, but you do have this moment.
Express the things you’ve wanted to share with others, do something courageous toward your dreams, experience something new you haven’t, and savor what you do have.
It may make all the difference and begin to write a new chapter that begins the first day you really start living.
What a jam-packed month it has been since I went offline, making it feel SO much longer than just 30 days. With the huge movement of energy and many miles traveled in this short time, integration sped up and balanced out with clarity that feels right for returning now, rather than later. Between the New and Full Moon Eclipses, powerful Equinox, Mercury retrograde ending, and rare second New “Black” Moon this past month, alongside rapid shifts embraced, it feels like a complete rewiring and catapulting activation has rooted quite swiftly.
So I will be back online beginning today, but it will be regimented going forward, to support my goals I’ve made and the balance that is of utmost importance and key to me.
Here’s a short recap of this month’s journeys from Manitoba, Canada to Cheyenne, Wyoming where we currently are….We’ve made stops in:
Manitoba, Canada
Turtle Mountains and Dunseith, North Dakota
Lake of the Woods, Bemidji, Minneapolis, and St. Paul, Minnesota
Gays Mills and Madison, Wisconsin
Des Moines, Iowa
Omaha, Kearney, and Big Springs, Nebraska
Yes, we’ve definitely been moving energy rapidly, coinciding with our quick, but rich travels, and it all culminated with a very potent time in a neutral, surreal, “middle way” zone in the International Peace Garden that is half in the U.S. and half in Canada on September 1st’s New Moon Solar Eclipse for a few days that rewired and clarified everything.
No coincidence this peace zone, or gray area, on the international border – the longest undefended border in the world – became such a pivotal experience. It is a place where a visitor from either country can enter without passing through customs and move throughout the park crossing the boundary without restriction, until you return to your respective country where you need to pass through immigration at that point.
It felt to be the perfect place for receiving clear guidance and it definitely was a turning point with everything.
Dave straddles the border like a balancing pendulum…swinging to the North Dakota, U.S. side
Then swinging over to the Manitoba, Canada side
And of course we partook in a powerful Druid activation ceremony on the Equinox itself that solidified things with our dear friends Laura and David.
Here’s a flashback of some of the things we’ve experienced this month.
During this past month we’ve explored an enchanting Renaissance Festival.
Toured some landmarks like the amazing James J. Hill home – Great Northern Railway tycoon.
Saw the world’s largest man-made turtle called the Wee’l Turtle (wee!) This coincided with my dearly departed, but ever-present tortoise, Gaia, coming through with messages.
Crossed paths with a rare Spotted Salamander that I emailed the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources about at their request since they are trying to track and help preserve their habitat. Potent!
Wore some “visible” Faery wings with giggly joy.
Got activated in a tree portal and emerged supercharged!
Connected with several lovely animal spirit guides.
Strolled world class sculpture parks in terms of very well known artists, and became art ourselves.
Biked (and hiked) lots of lake, forest, and river trails including the Mississippi and Minnesota Rivers.
Saw the original International Peace Tower for the last time before it gets torn down this fall due to deterioration.
Enjoyed two symphonies while dipping back into city life and discovered fun surprises along the way.
Plus, sampled an array of vegan restaurants and an amazing Herbivorous Butcher of all vegan cheeses and meats while enjoying some of the specialty goodies we’d picked up along the way.
It’s also been incredibly deepening and opening with my writing, which also culminated with new inspiration and guidance while in the International Peace Garden with the visitation of a dear soul friend from the beyond that catapulted a new direction for it.
All this to say, my time away has been fruitful and while I will be highly regimenting my time online in all ways to maintain the goals I have, I do feel harmonized in returning.
I had no idea when I went offline that it coincided with last year’s timing of my first sabbatical month away, nor did I look ahead at all of the powerful energetic occurrences that would be culminating in September’s month of purging and renewal. I only recently put it all together and said, wow!
But, like with all things, when we listen within we will always be guided in divine accordance and alignment. I’m grateful I listened and the timing couldn’t have been more perfect to support my needs and personal upgrades.
My guess, from what I sense, is that many of you have gone through some immense and intense transitions, magickal renewals, exciting openings, challenging releases, and pivotal points this month as well, which continue to culminate in life-changing experiences unfolding and that you’re feeling called to create in ever-new and expansive ways.
I’ve had dreams of many people I know during this time away, since I pick up on the collective, and they did in fact indicate big changes for everyone.
As you can imagine, I’ve taken a lot of photos during my time away, but the ones shared here are those that felt most indicative of the energy, guiding medicine, and symbolism experienced.
Especially so, is this one of the incredible hawk that sat in the tree by our Magick Bus while we received guidance and inspiration in the International Peace Garden haven we enjoyed virtually alone for a few days.
Hawks have been a guiding force in my life for several years now and this last leg of the journey has included countless other bird tribe experiences too, including several magickal owl encounters during the light of day and deep darkness of night that coincided with Cosmic experiences.
And speaking of animal friends, a quick update on the increasingly magickal Cosmo. He’s as high spirited and love filled as ever, although his legs and spine are weakening more and more. He is one of the guiding forces in directing us to our current destination and is a guiding force in my life as a great teacher and writing assistant.
That leads us to now.
As our year-long road trip winds down, we are currently on a fast-track trajectory to Lake Tahoe, Nevada where Part 1 of our extremely flexible and flowing multi-level plan begins and will continue to evolve thereafter with each choice and action taken.
T-shirt Dave and I both got while in Sedona on our road trip, perfectly mirroring the Magick Bus adventure and reflecting other perfect pieces to the puzzle
I’m feeling more focused, yet fluid than ever….and definitely anchored in the frequency of my personal integrity.
Life is a moment-to-moment creation and so it’s truly about surfing the energy stream and listening to our hearts in alignment to that flow.
With Mercury retrograde over, all the portals we’ve passed through, and yesterday’s rare, New “Black” Moon, the energy field supports greater clarity and ease of breaking free to enter new doorways of your desires, brings a magnification of changes in your life, presents opportunities abound for you to seize and help conquer fears, infuses surges of creativity to harness and manifest, and overall heralds new and deepened meaning to your life.
You might be feeling an increased drive forward to create in innovative ways that have far-reaching effects, ultimately indicating more authenticity embodied.
I can feel those strands of DNA that have been latent over the ages, lighting up more and more. And while there will be experiences of duality present, and very opposing forces and contrasts around, remaining true to you is the most powerful gift you give yourself and the collective.
Flow with that.
I look forward to hearing what has evolved for many of you during this time period and continue holding the collective in heart as I take individual steps as my threaded expression in that tapestry.
I’ve spent the last few weeks mapping out our travel route, researching places and things to see that call to our hearts, and booking RV parks from Colorado to Banff – Lake Louise, Alberta after closing out our 6 weeks in Utah – all guided by intuition, inspiration, and seasons, as we journey forward. I share the experience as a collective offering and share our timelines in case it aligns for friends and family in the areas to connect while we’re passing through. I’m so excited to say that after 24 bookings and a lot of “blessings” on our side, we were able to get into all the areas we wanted, despite the busy peak Summer season (another reason we booked ahead and something to think about if you’re a nomadic RV full-timer).
Since we have four animal children and still work while we explore, we have certain requirements for the types of places we stay, needing full hook ups and good cell and wi-fi reception. These are also reasons we need to book things ahead and can’t just fly on complete whim.
There’s a balance between intuition and discernment in our lives and so this does take a bit of preparatory work on our parts to ensure all our needs are met and supported.
While we don’t need much, we still do have basic requirements.
And for now, we’re not needing to stay more than a couple weeks tops in an area, as we are wanting to get the lay of the land everywhere we can at the start, while also following an internal and seasonal guiding force.
Later, after we’ve explored in general, we can then decide on the spots we may want to return to and spend longer durations at.
Everyone has their own way with this nomadic thing and living full time in an RV. Some people stick to a couple of favorite spots only. Some stay in each spot for long durations. Some go to remote areas and travel off-grid. And others may create their own balance of everything like we are.
We are booked from now through August 7th and soon will book the conclusion of Summer , so we’ll be all set.
I’ve also spent time mapping out our general travel route, state by state and area by area, of the continent. So it will be easy to get the rest going now that we have the plan in vision for the next couple of years.
Again, we’re exploring everywhere of interest and calling, while getting a general scope of North America and seeing all of the natural beauty and local color, while we hone in on our landing spot at the end of the journey.
So far, we’ve nailed it in terms of time spent in each area and always leave a place fully satisfied that we’ve fulfilled both our desires and callings there.
If you’ve been following along, I basically share a post daily (this could change as I get busier with my projects now) and have provided insights, photos, and ideas for those of you interested in the areas we travel to, or who simply want to integrate the energies along with us.
I am feeling a sense of relief and closure with the journey we’ve just concluded and a lot of things I’ve completed including our plan, so I’ll be back at it full force with my creative projects.
Since this journey is about moving the energy in our lives in a big way, exploring the beauty of North America, doing sacred work where ever we land, deepening into our essence, focusing on new projects and creative endeavors for the next phase of our lives, AND finding our next home, we also spend time feeling out the energy, receiving, and literally looking at the areas, land, and homes to see where we’re drawn to most.

Everyday of our new life’s journey brings so many experiences, encounters, and gifts of Nature we would never otherwise have shared.
Part of the reason I wanted this way of life at this time was to have the opportunity to explore and experience the vast beauty and variety of what our Earth Mother has to offer because as a pilgrim of the Cosmos, I am constantly stimulated and inspired by creative energy, which fortifies the more I feed it the soul nourishment it needs.
Life had become complacent and much had concluded, so a big, literal movement of energy and deep enrichment was needed to renew and recharge. Not to mention, it was time to move on in a bigger way.
There was a lot of soul retrieval to be done and a lot of Earth collective healing to support through the personal embodiment that would and will take place through the energy exchanges facilitated.
So, once again I am following my own strange and wonderful path, despite what the rest of the world around me is doing, how it looks to others, and even when nothing makes sense because to my soul it all makes perfect sense – the only thing that matters.
And once again, yesterday brought us more of that soul nourishment and unexpected gifts with a variety of new experiences and encounters along our five mile Rim Overlook hike.
Ancient petroglyphs, wild turkeys, lizards, vibrant desert blossoms, rolling river, 133 foot natural bridge – Hickman Bridge, expansive vistas, and wild winds of change at our rim overlook destination atop the dramatic cliff were some of the beautiful gifts and nourishment of the day’s journey.
Every day is filled with wonder, new discoveries, and inner reflections of these treasures experienced.
I love following our hearts, as they take us into our natural element and closer to ourselves.
We all go through struggles and challenges, but we also all have the ability to pass through the veils and experience what awaits us on the other side.
Celebrate you today and how far you’ve come.
This is a day I’m celebrating how far I’ve come – the depth of the entire journey I’ve discovered and learned to navigate.
I shared this on Facebook yesterday, but since it’s in alignment with my recent posts from the last few days, I thought I’d share this quick little reflection and message here too:
Today is wow here!
Tank top weather, windows open with ocean breeze, I’m even getting a tan while at my desk working lol! and feeling more and more grateful and invigorated every day.
We may have simplified our life and are living a life not everyone would choose, but the gifts and nature’s surprises are in abundance and my joy and peace is increasing by the day!
Does that mean this is the only way to experience stuff like this – heck no!
But if you listen to, support, and take action in alignment with your truth while integrating more balance, Nature, and letting go into your life, you’ll too experience more inspiration, invigoration, and vibrancy in the way perfect for you and your path.
I don’t have to pinch myself, because I know I’m awake and it is all real.
I/you create my/your own reality with each choice.
I’ve seen my life over all of the years go from one challenge and struggle after another, constantly working with the shadow, feeling stuck, unrelenting heart ache, and giving up, to ease, peace, constant inspiration, flow, and magick.
It’s available to us all.
I’m falling more in love with life because of truly coming to understand the meaning of it, which is all feelings and all experiences.
I am grateful for the entire journey…not just for where I am now, as without all of the pieces I would not truly understand this gift of life.
So, yes, I’m grateful for all of the challenge that has gotten me here because now when anything shows up I have a new appreciation for it and know my power in creating more of it, or something else when ever I so choose.
And so do we all.
It’s not about running away or denying some experiences over the others.
It’s about understanding the beauty and value in all of it to help us remember the powerful creators we really are.
And then when we experience the things we enjoy most, we REALLY have gratitude for it.
And when we experience the things that are more painful, we can REALLY have gratitude for it.
And at some point they just all become experiences and energy we have the ability to create and channel or not.
So, while I am basking in this light right now and feeling free, it is because I have basked in the dark and learned to turn the chains I used to feel there into a pathway of flowers I simply have to fully inhale in order to receive the gift of their fragrance.
“If there is no passion in your life, then have you really lived? Find your passion, whatever it may be. Become it, and let it become you and you will find great things happen FOR you, TO you and BECAUSE of you.” — T. Alan Armstrong, Author and Writer
Yesterday, Laura and I got to do our annual Tarot readings for each other for the upcoming year, which is always fun. We’ve only missed one year since starting this tradition, but it was back in action yesterday, as we enjoyed some magickal oracle deck shares.
One card that came through was from my Earth Magic deck and it is “FIRE” ~ Passion.
It stood out to me for the collective as a theme.
I’ll share the meaning straight from the deck for you, as I believe the questions presented are really important ones for anyone to ask within, as you face this new blank canvas ahead of you available for 2016 – a universally collective #9 year of raw and honest inner reflections, full-circle closure, spiritual growth, making necessary adjustments and cleaning out your house so to speak to bare only that which is most important to you, and really cultivating what you want to share with the world:
What are your passions?
What turns you on?
What ignites that inner flame, that creative spark?
When you feel devoid of passion, consider what is missing in your life.
It is most likely an absence of “fire in your belly,” something that makes your heart beat faster and quickens your breathing.
Passion is not something that comes from outside of you, although some events and circumstances can trigger it.
It is an intensity of feeling, whether quietly experienced or enthusiastically expressed.
Passion can simply be a strong feeling, or the sensation itself can be so powerful that it motivates you to act.
This is too often associated exclusively with sexuality, which is certainly one way of experiencing it, yet it limits its meaning and demeans the broader possibilities.
Open yourself to the truth of what you are passionate about, and find a means to express it.
Last night we spent a low-key New Year’s Eve sharing an early dinner and moving the celebration to the beach of the lagoon across from our RV home.
There we created a bonfire and roasted vegan s’mores. Then ended the night with New Year’s kisses to the little ones and off to sleep by 10:30 pm.
I drifted off connecting to my passions and what I was committed to bringing through this year – carry-through from commitments I’d made in my Solstice ceremony and from yesterday’s reading received.
These are photos I took of the fire last night, which was big and oh so warm and cozy. Seemed to mirror the magnitude of my passions and the reflection of comfort found within my more solitary and still-retreated experience these days.
I loved watching the flames dance, feeling to be a mirror of the magnitude inside of me energetically, despite outside appearances at this time in my life – much going on behind-the-scenes and in a way most reflective of my Faery self that has gone into her realm more.
I kept seeing images in the fire and in one of my photos a rabbit immediately showed up (for me)…not sure anyone else sees it, but it’s there. That was a very cool reflection for my year ahead.
What images might you see reflected in the flames, as you gaze upon them?
In general, I loved the symbolism of ending the year with a fire. It was huge and embers were flying everywhere, along with giant pieces of ash that looked like faeries flying against the black carpet of the Cosmos above. Perfect!
Transmuting the old in the flames.
Rising from the ashes like the Phoenix.
Stoking the fire within.
Deepening into the embodiment of fiery passions that are the very essence of who I am.
Magick amidst the seeming darkness.
May your year ahead be passionately reinvigorated, as you deepen into the heart of you!
