To Create Is Your Power ~ Intentional Creations to Invite Your Magick Out
When you’re feeling blocked, challenged, or frustrated, creativity has a power to shift everything. Many chronic experiences and even depression can be alleviated through creative expression and moving energy in ways that share your unique essence. Why? Because it moves that stifled and unused energy, transforming feelings of disconnection back into connection and passionate desire.
And if you don’t see things you like in the world, creating is a way to put more of what you do like out there.
If you are not creating in some way, it may feel as if you are dying and in fact you are diminishing your life force because you are inherently a creative being.
I know I go through spurts of creativity from small doses to larger ones, depending on my energetic needs and what’s going on in my life and around me. It’s kind of like the seasons of Tania, just like Nature has her seasons.
I also discovered along the way that having different outlets of creativity truly helped activate more parts of my brain, but also of my heart, and definitely more of the latent parts of my DNA to come alive and awaken from their slumber.
Even the fact that having rabbits – the ultimate abundant, fertile, creativity spirit animals – are more resonant to me and have been with me through the most important years of my life, speaks to how vital this creative energy is to my well being. So much so, that I have a constant daily reminder right there staring into my heart and leading my heart daily.
The more you engage creativity, the more life force, overall well-being, expansion, and flow is available to you.
Creativity also helps you tap into your multi-dimensional self, which opens a plethora of possibilities.
When you feel trapped or there’s no way out, creativity unlocks a new door for you that was sitting silently closed down the dark hall.
To create is your power – a superpower in fact – and no matter which way you choose to bring through your creative spirit, your body, heart, mind, and soul will thank you.

That said, I’ve been enjoying one of my bigger spurts of creativity recently and the rainy days have added to endless rabbit hole creative projects here in the Wonderland imaginarium.
Whether a mandala portal to transform and awaken…

A mini world for your faery heart to take flight in…
Avian medicine to create ritual, cleanse, purify, draw in supportive energy, or carry prayers and intentions to the Universe/Great Spirit…
Or elemental wands that unapologetically speak for the wondrous being you really are…
There’s an intentional creation awaiting that invites your magick out.
I invite you to explore some of these heart-filled creations that are available to bring home, gift to others, and even pre-order – a fun, new option you can explore at this new page link:

Bridges to the Heart of the Cosmos Within
It’s been a while since I’ve shared some artistic creations so today’s post focuses on the energy of two recent custom commissions I completed, which I feel hold collective messages for reflection. As always, I find that the projects that find their way to me end up being much farther reaching experiences than just for the person they’re created for. I believe that each of us not only taps into the messaging of our higher selves through these channelings, but is tapping into the bigger picture well of themes that are relevant and supportive at this time. In this way, each person becomes a vessel or portal for the messaging and through their courage, we all receive the gift.
The first piece is the latest Magick Keepsake Chest that I was so excited to create. The title for it came to me right away – “Harmony Is…”
These chests are creative canvases for me to either take someone’s ideas and channel them into a cohesive expression, or completely flow through an entire vision from scratch for them. They become their own mini portals that are functional for storing things like crystals, jewelry, intentions and dreams, keys, special little mementos and treasures, store the ashes of beloved animal companions with locks of fur, and make wonderful Reiki boxes or gift boxes.
This one is going to be used as a Reiki box.
I was only given a list of some things the person was drawn to, to work from: They were drawn to the night themes in some of the chests they saw from past creations, were interested in what a “night rainbow” might look like since they see rainbows a lot, have had rabbit, bear, and hexagon energy showing up, and wanted that incorporated somehow with a tiny dandelion some where.
I was so happy when they saw their creation and shared, “I absolutely love how all the random elements came together so beautifully.”
The photos you see are what channeled through as the woven story for this vessel.
What do you think?
As I relayed to the person who commissioned this, here is a little description of the vision that manifested:
“It’s SO hard to capture the accurate colors and details – but you’ll see in person that the experience of it is quite different than a photo. The colors are so rich – I made that midnight blue night sky rather than black, as it felt more aligned with the energy. In person it actually shifts from deep teal, to teal and royal blues, to darker areas mixed with a little black to create the variations. I call it “Harmony Is…” and the image of the white rabbit and young bear sitting on clouds in the heavens extending arms to one another in friendship are the focal point. You can see the stars that energetically connect their outstretched paws merge as a heart at center, while two other star hearts in the Cosmos are on either side of them. The rabbit holds a dandelion, with little puffs of seeds blowing up into the Cosmos, while a perfect rainbow emerges from it and they transmute into the four hexagon woven symbol that came to me to create for that balance at center….from there the rainbow emanates out into a rainbow nebula that fills the whole back (this is one of the things that really doesn’t show up the greatest in photos) and there are gold, white and colored stars scattered throughout. Actually the gold I used for the hexagons, stars, constellations, and energy is metallic so it shimmers in the light – again you’ll see that in person. On the sides I created an extension of the clouds from the front with more loose flowy rainbows that merge at back with the nebula. And on the left I created the Lepus and Ursa Major constellations – Hare/Rabbit and Great Bear…they appear as if running along the rainbow. The inside is painted in varying teals and blues.”
Custom Magick Keepsake Chests are available here: The Magick Rabbit
Then we move into the second custom commission – a sacred tattoo design that was an extremely challenging, yet super potent cocreation for both of us.
As I shared with my client: “There was a sense of great importance and even more surrender because of the magnitude I could feel coming through it and you. I have to admit, at first, ego was ‘hoping’ I would be able to hear/see what was intended for this…then after embracing that humanness, I listened to my higher self that wanted me to just trust and it would come. There was a feeling of words saying, ‘You do know, but you have to let go fully. Drop into essence and believe. Allow it to move through. It will then be you.’ “
Because my client had tattoos already in a particular style of powerful simplicity, boldness, and indigenous quality, I needed to stay within this energy, while not compromising the essence of this portal and also drawing upon a boundless Cosmic energy that needed to merge spirit in Earthy flesh.
Her visions and messaging from those working through her spoke loudly about how we were working with a very expansive energy that needed to come through a multi-dimensional doorway with 3-D effect and continuum of movement. So embodying the contrast of simple complexity was quite a task and surrender indeed was needed. In fact, this piece was ever-more drawn out because I really had to wait for each piece and only sit down when the doorways opened to feed through me the ingredients for the vision.
The image you see is a series of Star Wheels – a medicine wheel mandala that incorporates the Star Nation.
Without going into the full meaning of this piece, here are some of the elements you might discover while gazing upon it and can then draw your own energetic messaging from:
- An inner medicine wheel represented with the turtle shell – so the entire center is the back of the turtle – very simple lines and the inner smaller circles are part of the shell uniqueness, but double as mini wheels and orbiting planets in the Cosmos
- At center of the turtle shell/star wheel is the spiral/nautilus for that continuous flow and evolution energy. The spiral interconnects with the shell’s inner circle/design between each section of the shell and also the tendrils or threads that move out around the outer wheels – reflections of the golden threads my client envisioned
- I created all of these tendrils to feel alive and like sprouting new life from the plant kingdom, but also having a cosmic nebular spiral effect. So I added a few simple leaves on some of the tendrils inside the shell on the spiral and outside around each outer wheel
- I wanted the star wheels to have the essence and recognition as a wheel, but also to double subtly as more. There are four outside the center, fifth one, creating the four directions. I added two hawk feathers – a client connection and messengers between worlds – for a subtle hawk presence at both sides of center to give the effect of those directions without creating lines and down the center the stars rise from the medicine bowl below, along with three symbols my client wanted to have included that also are subtle in creating the center of the four directions.
- The bottom star wheel I felt needed to be larger as it will sit on the sacrum – or sacred portal area – and I felt this is where a medicine bowl would be. A primitive healing hand or hand of the Divine Creator rises from within and holds or reaches toward the bowl. The bowl is filled with stars and another of my client’s symbols amongst those stars. Then the another of my client’s symbols is right above it with a third just above that leading to center. Then stars continue to rise from there. This portal area and star wheel feels to be the gateway and so it infuses spirit in body reflected and both Earth and Cosmos bridged together and creating alchemy. The tendrils spiral around the wheel and I created an effect of movement and emergence with the subtle circular spiral rising from bottom and integrating into the circle subtly. Later I noticed how this created the feel/look of a bee hive and I loved that symbolism and how honey is the nectar of life and the hexagons are such potent symbols.
- The two star wheels at either side have the other two symbols my client wanted in them and each of them also surrounded by the live tendrils/nebula spirals and stars. I then felt they needed motion as well to feel like those moving or orbiting planets and so the lighter and descending wheel shadows are to reflect rotating movement in the Cosmos. Everything also feeling like rotating atoms or Cosmic matter.
- Then the top star wheel again is tethered also like the others with the tendrils, but these wrapping around to create that feeling of motion, parts of the wheel, and rotating atom-like nature. Instead of repeating the similar movement of any of the other three, this one has rotating, open circular matter creating a link or doorway effect
- Each star wheel is its own separate portal to other dimensions, but in totality they are part of a larger multi-dimensional grid – they have ability to give and receive through their doorways.
- And last, you will see that on both sides near the bottom there are stars creating two designs – one a constellation and the other created to appear like one. The right is Ursa Minor – also known as the Little Bear constellation. This was included because of a Cosmic bear connection that came through the messaging we discussed. The Bear constellations are very connected to the Arcturians as well. And on the left, jaguar energy was incorporated, but rather than do any literal or abstract parts of the jaguar’s physical nature, I opted to create the jaguar paw with stars, to balance the constellation on the right, making it appear like its own constellation, but more so to reflect how the jaguar is a dimensional gateway keeper and timeline guardian. What I saw after the fact was how the overall effect of these constellation additions created the feel of a dream catcher to the overall design, which I loved as another unifying tie-in.
The first photo I shared is a very straightforward design photo and the one below is in natural outdoor light.
As I shared with my client, “What I found very interesting was, as soon as I went outside to photograph it in the natural light, the white little feather you see by it blew over to me.”
That gave me chills as confirmation and a Cosmic smile.
The third photo I took has a magickal effect of enhancing and casting more light in areas and darker in others, which creates the feeling of movement and as if the light is swirling along with the design.
Perhaps these images will speak to you, invite a deeper awareness, take you on a journey, or water a seed within you to expand even more – bridges to the heart of the Cosmos within.
Whimsical Wednesdays ~ The Artist’s Corner: Cosmic Bear Messengers of Merging
This is my latest custom original portal painting I just completed on Saturday 12/19/2020 – the day Jupiter went into Aquarius. It’s titled Autumn Light and features momma bear and her cubs enjoying the precious moments of life in their beautiful forest home, as the seasons shift. No matter how natural I’m creating something, I always love to infuse a touch of ethereal quality and a connection to the life force and consciousness within all creation. (I only have one basswood plaque custom portal left at The Magick Rabbit Etsy Shop)
It was a very hard one to capture on camera in terms of reflecting the nature of blended colors and details accurately. Yet, what I love about art is that in every light, at each angle, and to the individual heart of the observer, it will always convey something different and perfect to experience.
And what I’ve been loving about my art recently is how my process of creation has completely changed so much so that it’s nearly getting to that place I dreamed of where I might be able to just project a vision and feeling onto canvas with little effort – something similar to telepathic transference. For me, colors are my favorite thing to play with, alongside infusing energy, feeling, stories, and light codes into each piece. My painting used to be much more labored and more of a process, where as now I no longer sketch ideas or map the whole thing out. It simply comes together in the moment and quite quickly. I also discovered my resonance is to paint on the natural and not canvases – wood portals are my favorite and wooden chests as well are so fun! Smaller pieces speak to me than the larger ones I used to create as well.
And all of this reflects the shifts my life has gone through and how things are so much more efficient, accessible, integrated, and about merging parts, rather than separating them. As life has become a walking meditation, so too has painting become an extension of breathing. Essence is streaming through much more clearly and for that I’m grateful.
I’ve mentioned in previous posts how bear has been showing up for me so repetitively that it’s easily become the key theme to dreamscapes all year and likely the most abundant theme in general. They also show up quite a bit in person (black and grizzly bears alike), especially since our time in the Magick Bus, but we’ve had many sightings here in Tahoe over the last couple of years – several of these taking place right in our backyard forest. One of these included momma and her single, sweet little cub.
Because of the profound presence of this messenger in my life, I thoroughly enjoyed creating this piece and deepening into the relationship with bear.
While bears hold their own symbolic medicine, I’ve come to know their repetitive presence to be Cosmically connected for me. In fact, the increase in animal sightings and intimate experiences and connections I have both in person and through dream time have spoken to me much more of the stars and my origins.
What I’ve uncovered is that extraterrestrial experiences and star connections are showing up a lot more through animals, rather than the literal way they used to. I still have straight Cosmic experiences, but the majority of ways this has been translating is through Nature.
These animals are the messengers for them and manifestations of them and this speaks to how as a collective we’re needing to come back to Earth and bring the Cosmic here. That experience of spirit in body, grounding, integrating, and basically embodying the totality of our essence here and now.
These experiences used to be more separate and the way we focused was more toward what’s “out there,” rather than bringing that through “here.” Psychic and intuitive abilities were thought to be only for the perceived gifted and physicality was devalued. Meditations to leave the body, spirituality as a thing to ascend to, and maybe even for some using other kinds of mind-expanding inducements to accelerate and separate from the body’s own miraculous nature, all took prominence.
And now we are being asked to drop back into body, ground our awareness, and merge our parts so that we can be cocreative manifestors of the new realities unfolding on Earth with the surge of energy pouring through to support this.
We are learning balance within and without and this is part of the harmonic frequencies I feel coming through.
All that to say, that bear has been a way shower for me in these times and a messenger of Cosmic origins helping to activate light codes.
Whether one believes in these kinds of things or not, at the very basic nature of it all, bears, animals, plants, trees, and Nature at large, are all reminders to us of the natural cycles and how we can align more consciously in ways that will support, rather than destroy this planet we call home.
But I’ll go a step further, even if just to seed possibility.
Arcturus has been quite prominent in communications over the years and so it isn’t surprising that bear shows up so much at this shift-point for humanity. My understanding has been that Arcturians are strong guardians and supporters of Earth and her inhabitants. A bridge for that Golden Age of transformation people speak of, or the future selves we can access to bring through that fuller embodiment of spirit and body merged.
Arcturus has Ancient Greek roots, coming from the name Arktouros and carries several meanings to include “guardian of the bear,” “keeper of the bear,” “bear follower,” “the bear watcher,” and others.
Mythology speaks to the story of Arcas nearly shooting and killing his mother Callisto who Zeus transformed into a bear. Zeus prevented this tragedy by transforming the boy into the Boötes constellation called Arctophylax “bear guardian” by the Greeks (Arcturus is a red giant star and the brightest star of this constellation) and turned his mother into Ursa Major (Greek: Arctos “the bear” and in Latin the name means “greater she-bear”).
So, again, at the least….it’s an interesting connection linking bears to the stars and prompts the expansion potentials that curiosity can have – including the awakening of latent parts of ourselves.
May all possibilities be open to you.
Unlimited Creative Potential ~ Upgrades & Imaginative Explosions
I was going to save this post for Whimsical Wednesdays, but there’s just so much energy abound and what feels like a super surge of wild and sometimes shocking unfolding is also feeling quite fertile with incredible possibility. I’ve oscillated between pulling back and then going full steam in the last few weeks. Big surges are flaring from all angles, especially the Cosmos and even from within Earth’s core – as above, so below – and it’s also come with a mixed bag of highs and lows, tragedies and celebrations, endings and beginnings – as is the natural cycles of all things.
In the midst of it all we’ve had a lot of very close-to-home news from others that’s included losses or traumatic and/or surprising events and health crises/diagnoses that all speak to huge life-transforming shifts happening on a grand scale. There’s a sense of a grand Earth recalibration taking place, which can very well even mean the human sadness of seeing many people and animals leaving while many others arrive, or the catalysts for life-priorities and values taking center stage with huge slaps in the face so that adjustments for greater alignment take precedence. Not all of it creating that warm fuzzy feeling one craves at the holiday season, but definitely creating deepening potential and supporting a new kind of enrichment through fuller embodied gratitude.
It all makes every single moment extra meaningful because it’s all you truly have. The Earth frequencies are shifting and so will we in the way that’s relative to our soul. While I sink deeper into my heart with all that is before me, I have also been readying for many beginnings and actively supporting them every step of the way.
One of those included supporting the huge vibrational shift for an incredible (wish there was an even more potent word to describe them) soul family group helping to raise the Earth frequency. This weekend concluded a really big journey for 16 amazing souls, as we came full circle with Reiki training today. A total of 18 took the journey with us through the first two levels, which began in August and concluded in December with 16 moving on to complete the third. It was a path I hadn’t planned on when embarking on 2020, but it became ever more clear why this came about, as we continued forward.
Our last class was today, and synchronously a snow storm started just a couple of hours before class began, enveloping me in a white wonderland as I connected with everyone online. The snow felt like a blanket of purity from which all things will emerge anew. It also put to rest the old cycles, as things transmute and reset onward.
I got to share a glimpse of it all with the group through my computer screen on Zoom and even Astrid shared herself and energy with everyone too.
The upgrades we each received by these high energy gatherings and activations has been so aligned with astrological events and this conclusion was no exception coming right at the threshold of tomorrow’s Sagittarius New Moon and Total Solar Eclipse. This includes a South Node Eclipse that supports clearing of all that old “stuff”. It was no wonder people felt extra zapped today, as alongside the intense energies everyone’s been processing and releasing, this, the upcoming Winter Solstice Great Conjunction, and overall high intensity month of Eclipses and two Full Moons truly have created more direct access doorways to harness and ignite.
The two concluding group classes fell on 12/12 and 12/13 and each day has reflected some magickal things including a rainbow portal showing up in the sky on the 12th after class, the snow enchantment showing up during the 13th’s class, Astrid’s presence in high gear for both, me teaching from my Wonderland creative space for the first time in our class series where the energy is highest in the house, amazing new openings for everyone, and even one attendee who shares my birthday – talk about reflective rebirthing.
And although I’ve been helping to facilitate things, I’ve definitely received my own huge upgrades over the course of our trainings and everything else this year.
This has trickled into reflections within my tangible personal experience to include a cell phone, computer, and office upgrade. In fact, there have been a huge amount of technical and electronic crazies over the course of this year, which made it obvious the cell and computer upgrades had to happen. But also it was the first year of using so much technology to include two different online platforms – Zoom and Google Meet – as well as other new technologies in our home and daily experiences.
I mentioned to our class today that although my energy does affect electronics (blow outs, crashes, strange happenings, setting off electric sparks, etc.), this seems to happen a lot more within my personal experience rather than when I’m doing important collective things like these classes or past interviews I’ve done. It feels to be an alignment with my Aquarius energies and that this kind of platform is very much in my frequency field as a supportive and even very beneficial way of connecting. So, in that way I am grateful, as others I know can’t use these means of connection all the time due to possible blow-outs and weird happenings mixing with their energies. We each have our aligned ways that are of highest benefit.
I feel supported now with a very powerful new cell phone and computer that feel like they’ll have greater longevity to weather the shifts upcoming and I also feel very nurtured and supported by the small upgrades I did in my shared creative space/office with Astrid.
That included what you see here – adding a second duplicate desk so I have a side-by-side sweeping wall of creative space. I’m still in process of organizing and configuring everything, but the photos give you an idea of the area that will get more clearing soon. I also got a new chair to replace my other desk chair, got rid of my reading chair, and made some other fine-tunings. The only thing that remains the same is Astrid always by my side – either at my feet (above photo) or supporting from behind (second below photo).
The second desk was a free one, as when I first purchased the one, it had arrived slightly damaged. The company sent me another, which also arrived slightly damaged. Each time was a completely free shipment and desk, because of their great customer service. Between the two damaged ones, we were able to create a second perfect desk by swapping broken and good drawers/parts to create one extra desk. It was stored in the garage until I got the inspiration to have both in my room and voila!
In the midst of these changes Astrid also received some upgrades with new floor mats throughout the room. I got her bigger mats with gorgeous bunny landscapes that create magickal portals for her to lay on and dream with me. I also got her a new door mat for under one of her beds where she likes to lay and look outside and another that lays under her food dishes and water bowl.
Each with a magickal scene, cozy, and supportive. But most of all, they create doorways to realms of enchantment and possibility where the rabbit collective is close at hand. She loves her new space and uses everything she has – that makes me happy.
She also loves having a nice sweeping area under my desks so that she can be right by my feet when I work – she actually sat the entire class (without moving) right up on my feet during the first day of Reiki 3 Master Teacher training last weekend when we had the entire group of 17 of us all together.
We’re definitely enjoying the new energy it’s all created, and for me, it feels more expansive and inspiring. I even have a work basket that keeps my daily projects, calendars, and so forth, all neatly together that’s labeled, of course, “The Magick Rabbit”.
I’ve also recently acquired a bunch of new, delicious and enchanted scented soy candles from a friend who creates them, which I burn daily as I work.
All of these space upgrades have really nurtured me into greater comfort and productivity. And from that, there’s been explosions of creative output in between the supportive work I’ve been doing. In between my full schedule and heavier-than-usual-workload, I’ve been taking small needed breaks to channel inspiration into little projects that speak to my heart and support little bursts of big creative expression.
Alongside commissioned art, I have been channeling fun ideas that call to me. These include the following you see here that are hitting The Magick Rabbit Etsy Shop tomorrow – the only new creations in quite a while, just in time for Christmas.
The first is the Uniquely You Divinely One ~ Magick Wooden Faery Chest adorned in snowflakes, genuine opals, and mirrored mini tiles. This is a hand-painted multi-media piece of useable art that you can use as a keepsake box, treasure chest, altar piece, storage for crystals, jewelry, or even as a Reiki box. There are eight genuine opals on it and a snowflake made of mini mirrored tiles. It’s completely painted, inside and out, and comes with a bed of natural lichen foraged from my forest backyard that you can keep as a bed to rest any of your special items on or remove.
A lovely Winter Solstice, Yuletide, or Christmas Gift, but also beautiful all year-round, as the message is timeless and a way to harness the magick messengers of the Winter Season.
Inspired by a painting I did years ago, titled the same, Uniquely You, Divinely One speaks to the value of your creative individuality within the collective and how each of us has our own signature frequency while still being unified as One. Each snowflake reflects the uniqueness that creates the tapestry of snow – every one having purpose and beauty, but together create harmony – like a symphony of notes. The power of one is great, but the power of teamwork is astronomical.
It is signed and titled on the bottom and the opals carry their own message. Opal is of the water element like the moon, it enhances cosmic consciousness, psychic and mystical insights, supports creativity and expressing your true self, brings loyalty, peace, self worth, faithfulness, illuminates for transformation, stone of love, gentleness, kindness to all relationships, encourages freedom and independence, soothes emotional body, clears and calms, nurtures hope, heals subconscious emotions, helps resolve past life challenges with compassion for self, supports dream time and alleviates nightmares, and release trauma, tension and stress.
The second is the creative explosion Wonderland is Alive Magick Portal that’s hand painted on a Basswood plaque with genuine crystals, stones, and mini mirrored tiles imbued all around and within the magickal doorway. This is an incredibly whimsical and creatively potent piece that was pure joy to channel and pure magick to step into.
Inspired by Alice in Wonderland and the journey Down the Rabbit Hole, you are invited to follow the White Rabbit through a new doorway of experience where your imagination and heart can create a new reality and infinite potentials. This enchanted piece can be used to ignite deeper levels of meditative possibility for manifestation of dreams and intents, as you allow all judgments and thoughts to be suspended. The mirrored tiles create that reflective energy for one to look within. And the seven genuine crystals and stones whirling around the rainbow portal, help to activate it all. The center has a teardrop Clear Quartz – the Master Healer – to amplify all energy and thought when entering this doorway. Other stones include, Amethyst, Amazonite, Green Jade, Orange Jade, Amethyst Lace Agate, and Picture Jasper.
Other symbolism includes bumblebee, butterfly, dragonfly, ladybug, dandelions, Amanita muscaria mushrooms (magick mushrooms), flowers, and hearts.
A way to invite your inner child to join you on an adventure of your choosing so you can merge the otherworld into your daily life. A manifestation tool and a reminder that you hold the power within.
It’s truly one of my most whimsical creations that merges simplicity with potency.
Talk about fun, fun, FUN!
I decided to list the new creations on Monday 12/14’s Total Solar Eclipse – that’s tomorrow – and they’ll go up in our Etsy Shop at 8:13 am PST, which is the maximum Eclipse time here in the South Lake Tahoe region. The New Moon will be at 8:17 am.
If either calls to you, the link to our shop is here: The Magick Rabbit
And speaking of Etsy, I just had to share this sweet unfolding alignment that creative energy and expression made possible. If you recall my painting, Dance of the Twin Flames, which did find its home a couple of years ago, then you might enjoy this along with me. Things like this happen “out of the blue” quite often and when they do I just feel so much gratitude.
An incredibly gifted sculptural jewelry artist in Scotland “stumbled” upon my painting online. She was just starting to put her own Etsy shop together of her creations and as part of her nature-inspired collection she made a set of twin seahorse earrings and wanted to ask if it would be possible to add my painting to her listing of the earrings that reflected them. The inspiration behind their creation mirrored my own with nearly exact channeling of the energies we worked with to bring them to life. She was so excited to have the seahorse spirit lead her to my painting that she felt to add it, along with my description, in accompaniment to her earring listing. I, of course, agreed and we discovered a magickal connection between us that of course the seahorses had been the portal for, and the rest of that story continues to unfold with beautiful soul family alignments from present to past life weave-ins. If you are interested in exploring her lovely nature and myth inspired work, her Etsy shop is 6elementsJewellery (Six Elements Jewellery).
This speaks to cocreative energies we tap into when we are authentic with our expression of it and support its need to be actively flowing. It also speaks to honoring those inner messages and your voice, as you never know where they may lead. And, it feels reflective of my current creative explosion of energies I’ve been feeling called to channel right now on this latest wave rolling through.
And speaking of cocreative energies, here’s a collaboration that unfolded between Nature, me and a sweet little bunny named Nova.
While on a hike recently, my eyes were drawn to the forest floor only to find a perfectly Nature-etched rabbit in a piece of wood. I immediately knew it was Nova, whom you’ve seen me post about before, and that it wanted to become a special little Christmas ornament. Little did I know at the time that Nova’s mom, KC, was going to have a big healing opening around celebrating Christmas, which was profound for her. After years of not being able to celebrate it for personal reasons, she was out early shopping to bring the Christmas spirit back into her child heart once again. This ornament became the perfect addition to her nature-themed Christmas tree and decorations. I painted one side of it in his image, as you can see, and left the other side completely natural because the rabbit was so distinct and gorgeous.
It feels to me to have the essence of the rabbit collective embodied in the wood sculpture that Nova is part of – reminding me of Watership Down’s El-ahrairah – Prince of the Rabbits – and that it is a reflection of spirit and body as one. I added wire wrapping to the top of the ear to create a loop for hanging.
And while on the topic of sweet bunnies, portals, and collaborations, you likely recall the Magick Portal Wood Plaque I created recently as one of my art commission projects. My muse was the dear Maribelle and after her mom received the portal, here is how Maribelle responded:
Maribelle was more than my muse for this. She was in fact the messenger of much healing energy, love, and activation that has unfolded more than I’m able to share here, for her mom, between she and I, and even a connection to a bunny dad who needed support.
Needless to say, the abundance of imagination I’ve been tapping into, upgraded energies I’ve been saying yes to, creative explosions I’ve embraced needing to come through in what ever form….have all been doorways of unlimited potential that continues to unfold and still has yet to reveal itself fully.
So, although my days have been full, I’ve been honoring and making time for what is under the surface whispering or knocking, as I later discover just how important those voices have proven to be and just how valuable energy is to honor, as it knows far greater than our limited ideas do…just why they’re needed.
Small Acts of Kindness ~ Spreading Seed Messages from the Heart
It doesn’t take much to make an impact. Small acts of kindness go along way – even farther than you’ll ever know, nor need to. A simple smile, hello, or telling someone they’re beautiful or that you appreciate them can change the course of that person’s life just when they need it most.
You might never know how your little bit of heartfelt compassion will affect someone, but doing something “just because” is where the most value is. Only the ego needs to understand the result. The higher self and heart already know the intrinsic value that goes without mention.
Just recently, as Dave’s life has shifted tremendously with his work coming to closure, he’s been exploring and discovering new parts of himself that desire an outlet of expression. Like many of us, life shifts are anchoring and taking on new meaning and so, too, has he been enjoying the organic process of how that is evolving.
It’s been heart-warming and sweet to watch Dave’s unfolding creative soul finding a new voice. And while this will continue to shift, as they always do once we embrace and take action on what is showing up in the moment, the joy he is experiencing is the same I know others are and will from what he’s putting out.
Just recently, on his own, he supported the nudge he got to start painting rocks and pieces of wood he found with simple messages and joyous images to leave on the trails we hike daily.
He was looking into buying some paints, but I told him he could just share mine. I was excited to supply him with the tools, including some inside pointers on using them and a lot of encouraging support with his idea. I happen to be working on two commissioned art projects currently, so we’re both in artsy mode, together, right now.
This is the first time I’ve ever seen him paint, let alone draw. And how sweet it was to watch!
I love what he’s created so far. He even made two rocks inspired by our rabbits, Cosmo and Joy, and some inspired by our Russian tortoise, Gaia.
He even included a bear, which is interesting because bear energy, as you might recall me sharing has been so prominent in my life this year both in the most recurring dream themes and in real-life sightings. And, just a couple of nights ago, bear returned again in an interesting unfolding that included a specific interaction with Dave – unbeknownst to him until I told him, but he’d already created the bear rock above.
So far he’s left two on a recent trail we did before the snow storm. I just had to document it for him, as you can see in these photos of him placing them for people to see along the trail.
Part of the fun, he said, is that the rocks will go to whom they are meant to be with. Being observant is part of that process and the rest is about alignment.
Some people may even just receive the message in heart, but decide to leave them there for other fellow explorers to discover as well.
It was almost like an Easter egg hunt with him placing them in different spots, except the rocks are not hidden. They are deliberate in terms of passing along a message and a smile.
I won’t say where these first ones were placed, but if you’re local to the area, you just might find one along a trail you explore.
He painted several more, some of which we’re taking with us on our upcoming road trip we’re leaving for tomorrow, so that he can place them on trails at our destination, too.
Spreading small acts of kindness through the creative heart is one way you can add a little light in someone’s life.
You might recall that while on our Magick Bus adventure, while gypsy-living in an rv for nearly two years, I started creating Magick Stones from the beautiful rock beings that spoke to me on our journeys.
I love that Dave came up with his own expression of rock art and how he wanted to share joy, peace, patience, and love with others – who knows what other messages he will add too! It’s fun seeing him having fun and letting his inner child out more and more.
I want this to be his project, but I did find just one rock that spoke to me while he was gathering rocks and wood for himself – it was a heart-shaped rock that felt important to share too.
And so I painted this stone yesterday before working on a mini wood portal painting, to add to his that we’ll be dispersing along trails on our mini vacation away.
I love the idea of merging our creative, child-like hearts.
So, yes, I’ll be away between the 12th (tomorrow) and 17th of this month, which put a short delay on sharing the new offerings I mentioned because of preparations and work I needed to get done. I’ve also been working on a couple of commissioned art projects and so my days have been full alongside enjoying snow shoeing adventures from our recent storm. I’m actually going to be doing a little fun work on this trip, as the energy of where we’re headed feels to be inspiring for both painting and idea-flow. So, there’s potential I might share a blog one time while I’m away. Otherwise, we’ll be immersing in our own personal journey this week to both celebrate and receive guidance on what’s to come.
Never underestimate the power of a simple act or expression. If your heart is nudging you to do something, do it. It could change someone’s life, including your own.
Happy 11/11!
Memorial Day Weekend Flash Sale & More Sacred Art Offerings
I mostly try to keep these posts on Instagram and Facebook, but so many of my friends are not on social media and only get updates via my blog, so I’m sharing this here too because some people see one or the other and have shared feeling sad they miss out on things.
As promised, tomorrow will kick off our Memorial Day Weekend Sale over at The Magick Rabbit, our Etsy shop. We are preparing for new inventory in the coming months so we hope this sale will help make it even easier to bring home things you’ve loved in our shop.
The sale begins tomorrow, Sunday May 26th and will go through the end of Monday May 27th – Memorial Day.
We’ve decided to surprise everyone with our biggest sale yet, which will be 30% off store-wide, creating super crazy steals on all the rabbit magick, inspiration, and whimsy.
We still have some Magick Rabbit talisman crystal necklaces, sweet rabbit mini gardens (including some vintage pieces) – some of my favorites still remaining, original paintings on canvas board, prints, the last of our notebook journals, greeting cards, and one basket.
I always add little free gifts to every package and everything arrives with free gift wrapping too.
So, don’t forget to hop on over beginning tomorrow, if you feel some rabbit love calling to your heart.
Next, I wanted to update you with a beautiful unfolding that took place. As you might recall, last Wednesday May 15th I shared about my process around the art I’ve created and how I discovered a deeper release I hadn’t acknowledged – Original Art Speaks Volumes & A Confession. This led to offering my five portal paintings, part of the In Lak’ech series, to best offers – feeling they needed to be out there doing the work.
I’m so moved, humbled and grateful beyond words to say that the five of them will be staying together and have found their new incredible sacred keeper. I was so touched by the out-pour of love for these pieces and the generous offers that came in. I wish I had more of each original to send off, but I don’t and when the perfect and devoted home opened for all of them, I knew this was exactly where they needed to be next.
Their new keeper and I will be in contact about their evolution and if at any point their work with her is complete and/or we get that they are ready to move on, we’ll make that known so they can continue to share their powerful energy. Where they are going is being created as its own intimate home healing arts center so they will be seen and experienced by others, as they work with their new keeper as well.
I mentioned a discovery in this last Wednesday’s share that took place and if you were on Instagram, you may have caught wind of it.
While I was opening the boxes storing the original five paintings, Fire, Earth, Air, Water and Spirit, I discovered another box with three very special treasures in it that I completely forgot I had.
I thought all of my prints were gone, but in fact I had three remaining, but they are not just prints. These three smaller prints – 9 1/2″ square – of Fire, Air and Earth are housed inside of rare custom metal frames ranging 15″, 15 1/4″ and 15 3/4″ square. The frames amplify their energy and are each hand-made to enhance their painting in a 3D effect by a friend of mine at the time who did incredible metalwork like nothing I’ve ever seen. They weigh close to 10 lbs each and are thick from the side in a layered step-effect. They are each a double work of art that adds depth to their portal presence.
There’s a part of the frame detailing just below each image that mirrors elements within each painting. They are each also connected to different ancient civilizations, time periods and cosmic origins.
For Fire, which highlights Sumerian and Babylonian times (Hanging Gardens of Babylon and Ishtar Gate), the frame detailing at bottom mirrors the Ishtar Gate and has a palace-like essence.
For Earth, which highlights ancient Egypt, the frame detailing mirrors the pyramids and palm trees within the painting.
And for Air, which highlights ancient Druidic and Celtic times, the frame detailing mirrors the stone circle in the painting, creating a Stone Henge-like effect.
They are an “experience” to meditate with and allow them to do the work on deep levels, helping to shift your DNA and patterns into freeing transmutation.
Because of interest and my new detachment to release these to do the work they are meant to do “out there,” I decided to make these available as well. They are easier to ship and easier to find that special sacred space for – either hung or leaning against a wall or shelf, or altar space.
I posted a video on Instagram after their discovery, but unfortunately am unable to upload it here, so the pictures will have to suffice. The prints are the exact equivalent in quality, detailing, and clarity as the originals I posted, but in photos they come across less defined.
Like with any of my pieces, I’m in no rush for them to find their wedded homes, as alignment is most important to me. So I’m awaiting everyone having had chance to see and connect with them before making decisions.
I hadn’t shared them here yet, so please feel free to contact me if you’re interested in bringing one or more of these into your sacred space with your best offer. Shipping to be added.
And last – this one also took me by surprise – I am also making available these seven original sacred animal spirit guide paintings to best offers, too, if they call to your heart. These have been beloved pieces for many and I ended up holding on to the originals, currently housed in our home.
However, there was so much response to them when I was sharing my artistic journey and evolution on social media a little while back, that I felt it was time to release these too, so they can do their work, since I no longer have prints of these either.
I can always create more art. I am more focused currently on the paintings fulfilling the purpose they were intended for, feeling that is most important right now with all that is going on in the world.
There were originally nine paintings in this series titled, Universal ARKitecture.
One original had been sold and the other one that hangs in my office of my rabbits, titled Once in a Blue Moon, does not feel to be opening at this time for others, as it truly is a more personal piece.
But these seven I have worked with recently in terms of the same release I felt was necessary with the In Lak’ech series, and so I’m now making them available as well.
Title and size included under the photos below. Photos don’t do these justice.

Temple of the Sacred Heart ~ 24″ x 24″

Garden of the Gods ~ 24″ x 36″

The Child In Us ~ 24″ x 24″

Visions of Atlantis ~ 30″ x 40″

Gem of the Emerald Forest ~ 24″ x 30″

The Mystic ~ 24″ x 24″

Dance of the Twin Flames ~ 20″ x 24″
These are so much easier to ship than the 4 feet by 4 feet originals I’m currently working on getting to their new home, but again shipping will be added.
I’m not going to share what their original value was, as I don’t want to deter people. I’d rather you feel the value of the art and share that from your heart.
If you want to see all of the pieces together in one page, including the In Lak’ech pieces and even my original five magick rabbit paintings that are available in my shop, please check this page out on my blog:
Please feel free to reach out to me about any of these if they call to you. It’s more important to me they go where they will be cherished and worked with, so don’t feel any fear around offering what you are able.
You can connect with me here:
Wishing you a relaxing, refreshing, and rejuvenating holiday weekend.
Thank you dearly for all of the loving support and moving words about my work. It means the world to me.
Whimsical Wednesdays ~ The Artist’s Corner: Original Art Speaks Volumes & A Confession
This was going to just be a blog touching on the importance and value of art – something I often write about especially when I hear and see struggling artists, people unable to find a way to make a living with their artistic expression, people feeling their “art” not being taken seriously and just thrown aside as a hobby, or having a hard time to take leaps of faith with their creations because of such strong collective beliefs that have shaped their own.
This was percolating again when I was reading reviews of art that had been purchased in my Etsy shop and realizing how unless people come face-to-face with the experience of someone’s gift they have to share, that there can be a disconnect or devaluing that takes place. Of course, this can be connected to the feelings we have come to believe about ourselves, that are innocently conditioned.
Here is an example of just one review:
“Hi! Just wanted to let you know that I received your creations. I was a bit taken aback how stunningly beautiful they are in real life! The photos just don’t do them justice. In real life they are on a whole new level!!! I guess original art really has something so special that can’t be reproduced….”
That’s not to say that even when the art IS experienced, that someone appreciates its true value, but there’s definitely more understanding when something becomes tangible, they hear an artist share about their work in person, or when a person truly takes the time to “sit” with the work of art and receive from it.
It’s invaluable, to say the least. And this is why I support so many artisans over purchasing a lot of commercial items because there truly is a depth and richness to things made from the heart.
There tends to be a disconnect with the amount of energy, time, love, thoughtfulness, vulnerable soul-processing, and skill that creators imbue into everything they make. It’s why I love those one-of-a-kind and original pieces that bring me closer to the artist’s intentions.
That’s not to say you can’t receive from duplicates, prints, etc., as there is always an energy signature that will resound, but I love being that close to the seedling of creative impetus infused within the first birthing.
True, it will be more costly, so it’s not something I/we can always bring home, but when something really speaks to me, I don’t question the value placed on an item, as I know as an artist how much is poured into every creation that can never be measured in these terms.
I desire so much that more and more artists will get to flourish and share their gifts with the world.
I hope for the collective to tip the scales back in balance, so we honor, appreciate, and value the arts as we once did – the storytellers, mystics, artisans, visionaries, medicine people, astrologers, musicians, dancers, healers….were all revered.
I’m seeing a shift happen and people starting to thrive again in these regards, but there are still so many struggling and so much energy holding in opposition to these shifts that artists are working overtime to change.
And that brings me to what I uncovered, as I was sitting with all of this and some of my own past works-of-art.
It wasn’t about value per say, but it was about attachment and feeling another layer of etheric tethers (as I put it to a dear friend) releasing.
Although I do remember how many times in my past I had to explain myself and the pricing of my art – especially when it came to some of my first commissioned pieces.
Two incidents in particular come to mind: I literally had to write a long proposal finely detailing hours and work involved to an attorney once and also had to prepare information to the president of a company I was doing a mural for to back up my proposed fee. The first grueling effort succeeded and the latter got knocked down in half, but was still courageous of me to put it out there, especially since one of my greatest fears was verbally expressing myself and public speaking.
But what came to me recently has to do particularly with the In Lak’ech “Five” series I brought to life between 2006 and 2009. I chronicle some of it in this post: In the Spirit of In Lak’ech

Fire
When first I timidly put them out on my website, feeling very vulnerable in sharing such depth, I listed them at $11,000 each. Not a strange price at all in the art world given their size, time invested, and being four feet by four feet originals.
I also made prints available, figuring that the originals would likely not be going anywhere anytime soon and wanting people to receive from them still.
But what I notice now in looking back is that I don’t believe at my core that I wanted to let these originals go.
Even though my highest vision and intention was that perhaps they’d find a home in a healing center or someone’s personal sacred home space, they spoke to something very sacred within me that perhaps felt like a violation to give away, at the time.
I can’t really put a word to it.

Earth
They were indeed like babies I’d birthed, but had truly never been created for me, as the channeling aspect going into them removes me from personal ego.
Yet, it was when out of that channeling space that personal was being tethered.
I may be one to look far deeper into things than most like, want to, or perhaps are over with doing anymore – I get it because overall I’m in that space of peaceful “being” more so now – but within one there is still the other and while I prefer the simple, my innocent curiosity simultaneously can feel the bigger encompassed within that – both sides of the coin exist even if focused elsewhere. And sometimes even if I’m not in that space myself, I will explain things out for others to better understand the process that may be more seamless in experience for me now. I find that helps people to relate and find connective threads for themselves.

Air
So, how did this play out for me?
Well, it was a mix of that value of art I spoke of before AND personal attachment.
I remember once that someone very well-off (a millionaire in fact) where I was showing my work in their gallery space asked me about one of the Five and wanting to purchase it. I told him the price and he looked at me in a strange way. Not that he felt it wasn’t worth this, but my sense was he felt entitled as someone perhaps more worldly to take advantage of someone he deemed less than that. (Interestingly, a small theme included in some or one of these paintings.)
He proposed $1500 instead of the $11,000.
I, immediately said no, but did feel that weird grating inside mixed with everything around it all that I’m sure a lot of artists feel, including that flash of all the artists that have in fact accepted what ever they could get because they felt they had no choice, but there was something more too.
There were other incidents similar or went further to even just wanting me to give them to people starting up places they thought they’d add value to.
And then there were a few months where my art hung in a hair salon studio that brought together art events, where they told me that business boomed while my paintings were there and brought much intrigue and interest.

Water
So, yes, I dealt with the value thing and seeing how these paintings were being experienced, but as mentioned, more importantly these pieces in particular hold such a sacredness to me and depth that truly it wasn’t about the money, but I was feeling protective of something within myself.
I realize now that I had mixed feelings that were tethering me to the experiences held within the portal paintings on a super-subconscious level.
While I’ve worked so much in the past to free myself and integrate the healing of these times within my and the collective’s soul history, there is an underlying comfort resonance in holding them, or identifying with them – basically allowing them to define me in behind-the-scenes way. Perhaps even fueling a sense of purpose I felt that recently I’ve been letting go of. AND, perhaps even still holding onto a self-imposed collective burden I felt to bear in that old martyr role.
It’s that super-shadow work often spoken of where you can’t make mental sense of it and there are many layers to the onion of feelings to unmask and get to the seed of it all. Some of which is purely your own and some that is collectively conditioned.
And in so much clearing out and truest desire to move beyond the unseen tethers that may not even by own, this suddenly hit me that I need to release these paintings rather than store them away in the dark recesses – literally they’re stored in a dark area of the garage to keep them safe from the elements and such right now, as we didn’t have any place to put them in the house, with all of the other paintings on the walls.
That’s interesting to me to have such powerful creations “hanging around” in the background.
So, my original “detached and collective reasons” for creating them returned to me, which was for them to be “out there” doing their work, especially at such pivotal times as now.

Spirit
These originals are so potent that to have them stored away feels like an injustice, just as I don’t store crystals when I’ve moved – either taking them with me or moving them on to other guardians.
But I did end up having to store them when we lived in the Magick Bus RV for a year and a half. I remember setting them all up in the living room together before they were taken away. A friend came over who was picking up some things from me and ended up sitting with them for an hour taking them in and receiving rushes of energy, emotions, and visions. It was the first time they were all together like this in their original form and not prints, so it was profound for me to watch someone experience them as intended, but I obviously was still not realizing the attachment.
And to feel that subconscious tethering now reminds me to release fully from inner identifications to soul wounds/feelings over lifetimes. Not simply on mental or easy to find emotional levels.
That is the gift of these Five portals is to move energy and keep it moving – that’s why they are so alive. Working with them invokes an inner igniting to happen and can continue to work layers of their imprints in unearthing and beautiful ways.
Yet, the trick, as with anything is to flow and not get stuck in identification as defining and encapsulating.
It’s taken me all of these years to uncover the true gift within them.
And I am now able to truly release the paintings so they can be that experience for someone else.
I could keep them now, fully living in that freeing energy I’ve now discovered and harnessing it for endless renewal, but they were always meant for others.
The only way I would truly know their gifts is to have journeyed with them all of these years, so I’m grateful for the discovery – one that is very hard to put into words. I’m not sure I’ve explained it well here, but it was a huge shift that happened yesterday when I cracked the code within.
As the link I shared above about their process expresses, these paintings remind me of hieroglyphics mixed with sound coding and telepathy. A journey backwards and forwards in time and encompassing both my personal and a collective “history” spanning what I believe to be very pivotal timelinks carried within our very DNA.
While I process things differently these days and my life is more simplified, like these images that appear as snapshots, they are also encompassing of so much more.
These five pieces, except the last two that were combined in one year, took each a year to create on their 4 feet by 4 feet very detailed canvases. This in part due to my own processing, research, and discoveries, the collective timing, and travels I did to work with the energies at sacred sites across the globe.
I actually have a journal notebook I kept with all of the detailed research and coding I was discovering along the way and working out like a treasure map before starting to paint each of them.
They include encoded messages that are sound-woven and frequency-embedded for that transmutation.
These paintings were my interpretations and new perspectives of each element as seen through different astrological signs in their highest potential (Divine Male and Female aspects). They incorporate Mayan glyphs and act as integrative portals that bridge time and come through an ancient story that weaves Sumerian and Babylonian, Ancient Egyptian, Ancient Druid and Celtic Ireland, Atlantis and Lemuria, and the Cosmic Earth.
They are layered with energetic symbolism that can help shift things on a DNA level by simply viewing them – something I witnessed when I showed them a few times separately and some individuals would find themselves moved to sit and meditate with them. One time in particular stands out, seeing a young man with tears streaming down his face while sitting in front of Air.
And like Lee Harris spoke of in his last Energy Forecast for May about a new wave of people awakening to greater awareness than they have before in different ways and being more ready for conversations they weren’t open to in the past, I’m seeing how the original seed of intention in these paintings is more relevant now than when first created.
This has led me to truly release them to the world this time and whomever might feel called to them.
While that “value of art” thing is still very important I feel in helping to shift things collectively and bringing awareness and honor to the creative arts and even our relationship to nature because the arts connect us with the “nature within,” I am ready to let them go at huge discount simply because I feel the importance of their living out their purpose.
Like the mother must release their child at some point to live their life, I do the same and know I am no less or more because of their physical presence in my life.
I had thought about offering them each at $2000 instead of their original $11,000, and all five for $10,000 – less than one’s value, but I’m now going to open it to best offers so that they can truly go where they can do the work they were meant to and fulfill the vision I had of them as meditation pieces, either individually or as a collective story for integrative healing on deepest levels.
So, if one or all of them speak to any of you, please let me know of your desires and we’ll go from there.
I do have to reiterate that these are 4 feet by 4 feet, so I will have to ask that shipping be covered as well because they will take special packaging and shipping costs.
The five are shared throughout this post in the order they were created. I hope you enjoy viewing them again, as much as I’ve enjoyed resurrecting them in a new way.
And if they don’t find new homes, this whole process is still rich in the discoveries I’ve made that I know will domino-effect out through our collective connection.
UPDATE: The five paintings have found their new home with an amazing new guardian and keeper who is keeping all of them together and will be working with them as the sacred portals they were intended as. I’m so happy that they can stay as a unit, even though I was open to them finding homes where ever they were meant to be.
The Artist’s & Writer’s Corner Merge: Vision & Perspective
For this week, Whimsical Wednesdays and Monday Musings are coming together from each corner of my worlds – both the artist and writer me – to share an emerging theme of vision and perspective. Since everything is interconnected, it wasn’t a surprise to me to hear from a very tapped-in friend about this theme swirling around in her life and my “seeing” it sneak through with the experiences people are having on a wider scale. And, of course, it hit home here both with myself and my partner, Dave.
Perhaps some of you may chime in as well on this.
Vision and perspective feels important, as it relates to everything shifting so much in the way we are experiencing the world and collective right now. There seems to be a call to alter our perceptions overall and even a mass movement in terms of the things more people are becoming ready to see now. As layers of the veil peel back, we are being asked to see with new eyes and trust what is being shown/felt because that will be more key in creating a different reality than the one we may have thought was the only version of reality available.
As I mentioned, this has been popping up in our own ways here, as just this last week Dave went through a scary experience of discovering he had a detached retina that had potential implications of loss of eye sight if it hadn’t been caught in time, or if the procedure didn’t work. It was a whole very interesting and involved process to go through with quite advanced technology used to fix this, but in the end he avoided having to have the more invasive surgery under general anesthesia, as the first procedure has been successful.
He’s currently recovering this week, but it definitely was “eye-opening” on many levels.
Interestingly, this last Sunday I decided to try some reading glasses for the first time and bought some. I had bad vision when young – was legally blind in fact – and wore contacts/glasses until around 30 or so when I finally decided to have lasik surgery to correct it. I’d always been afraid of doing the surgery, or didn’t want to see on some level, and then embraced that and it was like woah! So weird to see so clearly – like everything was surreal.
My distorted vision had kept me “feeling” safe all of those years, and now I was ready to expose myself and support my gifts, rather than suppress them.
Anyway, until just last summer, I hadn’t gone back to an eye doctor since, because I had better than 20/20 vision. I started noticing some shifts and had them checked out and they said I’m starting to shift now in all ways – near and far sighted, along with some slight astigmatism. However, my prescriptions were so low that it wasn’t recommended I had to get them filled since they’d likely change a lot. It was felt that I could think about it in a year or two when they shift more or just pick up some over-the-counter readers at the store.
I hadn’t done that until now, feeling maybe I would try it out and transition myself slowly. I actually have come to love glasses as I’ve grown older and admire them on people, unlike the younger me who was more self-conscious about it and preferred the blurry world when I didn’t need to see clearly like in school, work, or while driving. I feel that they also add a layer to one’s personality and personal style. Perhaps they may even be more fitting to the artist/writer me I’m evolving into.
My mom ended up giving me some readers that she had and I got another super cheap pair after these first ones you see here, so I have five now at different levels to see what works best or to transition with.
What I’ve found interesting and synchronous to all of this is that while these vision and eye shifts have been taking place, I’ve noticed another big shift in perspectives and approach to my life, overall, which in essence is speaking to what I feel is more alignment.
I know very clearly the type of artist I am now and what I truly love painting and how.
I also was shown that my art is more about being an outlet for creative expression and joy when I feel moved in that direction and not something that feels to be a vocation, but more so an extension of simply who I am.
My writing feels more evolutionary for me – not necessarily that I see it vocationally either, but much more deepening and expanding in terms of growth and moving me out of all comfort zones, as well as facilitating creative expression as a honed in skill that merges and balances both sides of my brain, and that returns me to my more natural self – and voice.
It makes sense that my novel is also going through a huge shift too, which is a result of my stepping away from it for so long and returning now with “fresh perspective.”
I’ve been taking this return in steps, as I think I’ve mentioned before, and creating bite-sized morsels with it that create less overwhelm and more immediate levels of accomplishment, while also remaining detached from any end result ideas.
I envision a lot of work ahead, but the process being much more reflective of where I am now.
The steps I’ve taken so far have been researching a lot of links and books, both my editor had suggested, and ones I felt led to, and printing out the entire manuscript, then page-by-page marking it up with notes and highlighting that didn’t translate when I printed it on our only black and white printer.
Currently, I’m rereading the manuscript and journaling while I do so – both taking notes of major things I want to keep in mind for overall shifts I’ll be making and also somewhat processing my thoughts and ideas on where I may go with things.
Once I’m done reading I’ll have a greater handle on the direction, as I want to let the entire journey guide me, rather than make any decisions yet.
Everyone has their own process, but I’m learning to create mine and what works best for me, along the way.
I had no idea what I threw myself into when first I embarked on this writing adventure, as it is nothing like my first book I quickly pulled together and self-published, and nothing like what I had first envisioned it was going to be.
I’ve simply been embracing every twist and turn along the journey.
I literally jumped off the cliff and am now getting a crash course on what all is involved, learning along the way, and going through the growing pains rather fast – thank you to my editor!
I could never have done it before or had the ability to step back from personal investment in something, as I can now. And even since last I completed the first draft, it’s amazing to see how much I’ve shifted and my perspective has expanded, which of course translates into a whole new story!
My current reading and journaling stage is perfectly aligned for Dave’s downtime week, as I’m able to take my manuscript with me while we enjoy long beach days now that the weather is so nice and we’re in the shoulder season without crowds or noise lakeside – minus a few birds who like to come around and offer their perspective. 😉
Interestingly, yesterday we saw a bald eagle fly above us. She or he was then air-wrestling with a raven who likely wasn’t too excited the eagle was nearby. Our second bald eagle sighting in the last couple of weeks – so yes vision is definitely on a high!
Bald eagles symbolize the courage to look ahead and great vision.
I also recently shifted camera perspective on myself in a literal kind of way and rather than just sharing photos via my social media avenues, I’ve been nudged into adding some self-videos now and then that remove the barrier that a photo can still create and welcomes people into my world with a more personal, transparent experience of who I am and what my daily world is like.
Recently, I shared a look into my creation space, which the photo at my desk above is from, offering an insight to how I create a nurturing world around me that supports and inspires the dreamy worlds I imagine, via my writing and painting, into life.
I imagine, also, that things will continue to shift as my perspective widens and my vision adjusts into its new level of clarity.
Have any of you been experiencing themes around how perspective changes your experience, or having vision come up in literal or more symbolic ways – including perhaps even an emphasis on intuition stepping forward, more psychic vision becoming clarified, or things you didn’t see before suddenly making sense and stepping out on the scene now?
I thought you might find this last photo fun. I also recently moved these two whimsical dolls into position right in front of me at my desk, so that when I’m working on my computer they are actually staring right at me – and me at them.
I find myself looking into their eyes often while writing and alongside all of the other friends in the creation space I share with Astrid, it’s amazing how many eyes are on me.
They have special meaning to me and are connected with my novel, symbolically representing two of the characters.
The perspective of seeing through their eyes, but mostly that they are seeing through to the heart of me, keeps me focused on that key piece.
Whimsical Wednesdays ~ The Artist’s Corner: Nature’s Art Reflects Living Life Beyond the Veil – Beltane Peace & Heart Potential
I don’t post blogs as often these days, and mostly stick to themes when I do, but now and then I feel to share something that nudges me and today is one of those days with the energy in these photos coinciding with Beltane today.
Two days ago I went on a short evening hike out back by myself to take a break from manuscript work to connect with nature. The weather was lovely and warm and the air held something different in it. I took these photos, as the light called me.
Each time I looked at the sunlight peeking through the trees I would see tiny, fast shooting gold filaments, but the photos later revealed the unusual feelings I had.
I didn’t pay attention to Beltane approaching, but it was obvious the thinning of veils had already begun.
You can feel the dance of faery and sprite energy in the water, light, and forest. Faces and beings staring back at me all around.
But you can also actually see the light revealing what appears as a separation of dimensions – a veil parting ways.
The light this day was glowing differently and illuminating in unusual ways or radiating like an arrow.
You can see a golden ray shooting out in this one that then shifts into rainbow light that splits in two strands into the water.
After the couple of weeks of warming here, yesterday brought a cold day on in the middle of it with temperatures dropping to the 40’s after 60’s and sometimes even 70 degrees here in the mountains. Clouds moved in and out, winds blew in, and at the end of the day a very light veil of tiny snow flurries came down. Just barely enough to see with the naked eye, but did not settle. It appeared like an armada of faeries surrounding the house and created that separation effect of dimensions.
Today we are back to warm sunshine, as if the cold never was.
An interesting intermingling of Sacred Masculine and Feminine energies dancing back and forth, as the veils lift and harmony is revealed.
I’ve always loved this image of Cosmo out back in our yard where we used to live. To me, it is a beautiful reflection of his Sacred Male energy in total harmony and embrace of the Sacred Female embodied in our Earth Mother, Terra. The epitome of this precious dance of life and creation in its fertile abundance and purity.
Beltane is about honoring life at this peak period of Spring unfolding into Summer when everything is blossoming with potent and abundant fertility and the conception of ideas, intents, and dreams are ripe with potential. We become pregnant with opportunity for renewal, growth, vitality, passion, and joy that offer a chance to bring hopes, dreams, and ideas into active fruition.
The faeries remind us to have fun with it all and not to forget that a time for play is much needed too.
Look around you at the landscape of sprouts and buds vigorously reaching for the Sun and dancing in the breeze. They remind us to bring forth the depths of our hearts into the light even when we think there’s no reason to ever shine that again.
If even just to feel the sunlight dance on your skin and dreams, so be it.
Nature reminds us that everything has a cycle and now is a time to take up that joyful part of your secret world you keep only to yourself and nurture it a little bit more.
Today is opportune to set forth intentions and promises to yourself and ask for assistance, as you take an active step toward what ever it is you would like to see more of in your life.
I plan to do another little hike out back today and spend some sunshine time to ground in my own peace and clarity.
I have to giggle, although had slightly gasped, as a spider again just scurried along the edge of my desk by my arm as I typed, making his way for my keyboard. I scared him with my quick pull away of my arm and as I just wrote that he was running down my tapestry in front of me. 😉
You might enjoy Lee’s Energy Update for May to kick off this month and help you to hone in on the intentions you’d like to focus on more and even ask nature, the elementals and faeries to assist with.
Lee talks about both a continued acceleration and grounded peace and heart energy that are dancing together right now. He speaks to a new wave of people awakening to greater awareness than they have before in different ways and will be more ready for conversations they weren’t open to in the past.
Heartfelt conversations are more possible with the willingness to allow your heart to find different ways to engage others.
He also talks about “happiness as peace” which speaks to finding more ways to bring through your joy into life as a means of creating peacefulness. Any little thing that brings that to you is valuable even if something small like sitting outside listening to the birds, cleaning, shutting off electronics for a bit, reading a book, taking a walk, doodling or painting, laying down to day dream….bringing forth more stillness and self-care creates peace, grounding, and greater fulfillment.
Whimsical Wednesdays ~ The Artist’s Corner: Custom Art Available
This is a short announcement that felt perfect for today’s Whimsical Wednesdays from The Artist’s Corner post, even though I’m not regularly keeping up with these weekly posts like I used to due to needing time to focus back on my writing.
I’ve decided to make custom commissions available again, for now, on a limited basis.
I’m not sure how many I’ll actually be doing, or for how long, but I’m guessing it will only come in as is perfectly aligned with my timing needs.
So this means I’m open to creating animal companion portraits and creative pieces, although I do have a special place in my heart for animals.
As you can see I can do straight portraits or add a creative or surreal essence to them.
I shared on Instagram, a reflection on my past artwork and received a lot of beautiful and touching comments, including some inquiries. People were especially moved by the animals and more ethereal and cosmic paintings.
I contemplated revisiting this and due to cutting back, or pausing for a short time, on production of pieces for my Etsy shop, I have decided to make this option available again on a limited basis since I am devoting most of my time to writing.
I did accept a commission that will be a unique portrait on wood with crystals for the woman you may remember won one of the auctions for the bunnies and I posted the sweet story about her daughter who had led her to this from the stars. The portrait will be of her angel daughter.
I’m discussing possibilities on another.
I love that they don’t have any time frame, so I am free to work on them as I am able in between my writing and needs for creative flow breaks.
I do love creating unique multi media pieces on large wood rounds, or items like the talisman necklaces, and keepsake chests.
I also have mini silver wood frames I can create pieces in or small canvas boards.
I’m open to larger canvas pieces too, but are more time intensive and costly for shipping – so just something to keep in mind.
I’m just putting it out there and if you feel drawn to have a custom piece of art created for you and it resonates with both of us, please feel free to contact me if you are interested.
I’m not sure if I’ll mention this a lot, but am putting it out there now and I might create custom listings in my shop where you can choose.
Please let me know if you have any ideas and we’ll go from there.
You can visit this page for some more of my work:
I posted some of the animal companion portraits and other past works on my Instagram page, so if you’re interested in seeing some more of those and aren’t on there, I’ll find a way to send you them if needed.
