Whimsical Wednesdays ~ The Artist’s Corner: Custom Art Available
This is a short announcement that felt perfect for today’s Whimsical Wednesdays from The Artist’s Corner post, even though I’m not regularly keeping up with these weekly posts like I used to due to needing time to focus back on my writing.
I’ve decided to make custom commissions available again, for now, on a limited basis.
I’m not sure how many I’ll actually be doing, or for how long, but I’m guessing it will only come in as is perfectly aligned with my timing needs.
So this means I’m open to creating animal companion portraits and creative pieces, although I do have a special place in my heart for animals.
As you can see I can do straight portraits or add a creative or surreal essence to them.
I shared on Instagram, a reflection on my past artwork and received a lot of beautiful and touching comments, including some inquiries. People were especially moved by the animals and more ethereal and cosmic paintings.
I contemplated revisiting this and due to cutting back, or pausing for a short time, on production of pieces for my Etsy shop, I have decided to make this option available again on a limited basis since I am devoting most of my time to writing.
I did accept a commission that will be a unique portrait on wood with crystals for the woman you may remember won one of the auctions for the bunnies and I posted the sweet story about her daughter who had led her to this from the stars. The portrait will be of her angel daughter.
I’m discussing possibilities on another.
I love that they don’t have any time frame, so I am free to work on them as I am able in between my writing and needs for creative flow breaks.
I do love creating unique multi media pieces on large wood rounds, or items like the talisman necklaces, and keepsake chests.
I also have mini silver wood frames I can create pieces in or small canvas boards.
I’m open to larger canvas pieces too, but are more time intensive and costly for shipping – so just something to keep in mind.
I’m just putting it out there and if you feel drawn to have a custom piece of art created for you and it resonates with both of us, please feel free to contact me if you are interested.
I’m not sure if I’ll mention this a lot, but am putting it out there now and I might create custom listings in my shop where you can choose.

I’m devoted to bringing awareness to animals, Mother Nature, and the Cosmos, but rabbits are my passion and I’ve committed to being a voice particularly for them, as a way to share all of this.
As shared in the link above, I find rabbits to be unique in that they transcend or bridge just about every category of animals. They are domestic, farm, and wild animals and not only are seen as animal companions/pets, but also are farmed or hunted for their meat, farmed or hunted for their fur, and are one of the most commonly used and abused animals in terms of lab testing and experiments, as well as cruel forms of amusement. Not only have rabbits become synonymous with cosmetics animal testing throughout the world, enduring horrendous suffering in the name of “beauty,” but their image is the most recognized and used on cruelty-free labeling.
Miyoko’s Kitchen was live on Facebook yesterday interviewing the incredible Marcy Berman of Save A Bunny where I adopted both Joy and Astrid from. Save A Bunny was the recipient this month of Miyoko’s 1% of ecommerce sales.

I love that Marcy and I share so much of the same connection to and understanding of rabbits and we even both call them tiny horses.
Marcy is an amazing resource for anyone wanting to know more about the bunnies on a deeper, intuitive level, as well as in areas of awareness, activism, and daily care.
Thank you to all helping to raise awareness for and support rabbits, as well as all animals and Nature at large, as they truly are our mirrors for harmony and well being if we listen to the messages they have to share for living with greater consciousness and compassion.

Hear Their Hearts – Voicing Animal and Earth Consciousness through Art
Reflections
One of my passions, as a visionary, vegan artist and animal lover is to create compassionate animal art voicing healing awareness that supports Earth and human evolution.
Many of the themes of my paintings and design creations, are heavily focused on nature in all of its beauty and a reflection of “a return to natural harmony.” Spiritually animal-focused creations are one of my favorites, which include creating custom animal portraits, animal and Earth consciousness commissions, and my own original inspirations that reflect the miracle of life in all of creation.
These particular paintings are intended to give animals a voice through images that capture their essence and create healing awareness. I believe that animals are NOT voiceless and by being more present and unconditionally compassionate, you can connect at the heart level with all creatures and learn to hear what they each have to share. Listening with your heart connects you to theirs and the voiceless become deeply expressive.
Legacy
It is my intention that these types of paintings will be part of a new era of animal art supporting a shift of perspective towards a more compassionate co-experience with these children of the Earth.
