Open the Door and Let the Magick In
Imbolc marked the halfway point between Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox – a time to celebrate a return of the Sun and light, a fresh and fertile beginning access point, stirrings of new life, and contemplation of the seeds we want to plant literally and metaphorically.
Synchronously, some seeds I ordered were shipped off on Imbolc and so I look forward to planting some new life through the greens that will sprout for us and Astrid come Spring. A friend had told me about how I could easily grow greens all year in tubs that would act as mini greenhouses. I’d been wanting to have that ability and so I ordered the tubs and soil and now am waiting on the seeds. Then I received a sync wink from Faery Sis, Laura, when she posted a video about the very same thing, which she was contemplating to do maybe next year!
A lot of new ideas are coming together in easy ways that I/we had been contemplating, but felt on hold with for some time. The floodgates opened once I made the decision to just pick a choice (neither wrong or right or better or worse) and the decision put things in motion quickly.
This end of Winter and inklings of Spring portal helps kindle your inner fire of power and whispers encouraging words…”catalyze, innovate, birth, and build….you got this.”
The above photo was taken on the first of February at this gateway – a day also shared by the Lunar New Year (aka the Chinese New Year) and my dear Nestor’s birthday. I love the subtle rainbow brilliance of the Sun’s rays permeating the landscape. Interestingly, we were called to go to the same ski resort we went to on Cosmo’s anniversary of coming home to us – the only two times we’ve done so. For some reason my soul companions in rabbit bodies seem to draw us to explore and be in extra peaceful communion to receive communications.
This next photo is from Sunday, nearing end of January, on our Winter kayaking adventure. I love the dance of lights that kept showing up.
Indeed Nature is celebrating that return of light…and perhaps you may feel a bit of extra warmth and brilliance beginning to stir from within too.
As I’ve been redecorating, I’ve been extra drawn to the pair of antlers I found in October. You may recall these along with all the wild turkey feathers that I discovered then. Again, I found each antler on separate days, miles apart, but they were a near perfect pair of opposite sides.
These were the very first antlers I have ever found and it felt so powerful that I ended up finding two at once, creating wholeness.
Antlers speak to the magick of the regenerative force in Nature, but also of our own ability to transform again and again.
Synchronously, a sweet, creative, and sacred Earth Keeper, faery friend of mine who lives in the Ozarks had just told me a few days ago that she found an antler that completed a pair. She sent me a photo and they were also nearly a perfect match, although hers were found a year apart.
We were both in awe of us both finding these and how their messaging was perfect for Imbolc.
Until recently, the antlers were just sitting on my desk next to where I work, as I loved their energy supporting my days. But they found their place – one of my favorite nooks in our Wonderland room – creating a potent altar space, as you can see, just to the left of my desk.
They sit between Cassiopeia and Sirius – The Star Collectors, as they were named by an artisan friend in England who made them (they carry vials filled with stars that they collect on their solo long journeys across mystical lands) – and at the entrance of the golden portal door surrounded with butterflies, rabbit, and the addition of other magickal items including an antler handled wand.
The door says, “Open the door and let the magic(k) in.”
I don’t know about you, but I feel that we are being invited to welcome in the new energy and experiences…that we need to look for, encourage, nurture, and create the things we want to see…the hope…the beauty…the peace…the kindness…and not wait for it to materialize.
I know these are challenging times.
I know some tough things keep flying around us.
It’s up to each of us to choose to see and build something different.
To anchor something more.
Even if that is simply within your heart and your personal experience behind closed doors.
What we can strengthen and amplify from the inside, will emanate outwardly.
It may not show up right away in the way you want it, but when each of us do this, we are building the new.
When each of us feel and embody this, we are making it possible.
Don’t wait for someone to hand you the keys.
The alchemy of your heart is the key that will open the door and let the magick in.
Monday Musings and the Mentor Muse
There are days when life invites you to dance with your imagination and linger there a bit longer than usual. These are the times you’re reminded of the fine line between what you imagine and what is, because they become one.
And these are the times that reflect to you the power of your creative energy.
The light codes shining through our days recently have been truly amazing, as you can see in the photo above. And they feel indicative of potential – the seeds of activation. The rainbow glistens and unusual orb-like beams of presence seeming surreal…as if from another world.
This is the way I see things in my visions when I imagine.
And the prismatic colorful glistens even showed up in the untouched snow, leaving us surrounded by blankets of rainbow prism crystals scattered across the land. I tried to capture all the crystalline gems sparkling, but the photo below was the best I could do and your imagination will have to join for the rest.
The snow carpets of rainbow prism gems were scattered across the landscape making us feel like we arrived in Wonderland itself.
Now imagine this multiplied to cover the entire surface and standing there in silence surrounded by the untouched crystalline magick glistening, as if sprinkled by the faeries for only your eyes to see.
If this isn’t pure enchantment, I don’t know what is.
This is imagination manifested into reality – well, my imagination that is.
This is how I imagine the reality in my visions and here it was before me.
And the more we allowed ourselves to be dazzled by this display, the more brilliant it became all around. The more we lingered in captivation, the more our imaginations built bridges to the sights before us and the two merged, multiplying and relishing in the joy of being unleashed.
The colors became more pronounced, twinkled with wonder, and put on a show, as everything came alive in rainbow crystal delight.
I love where imagination wanders and what it can manifest when left to its joy of creating.
You can infuse an extra little bit of magick in your life by engaging your imagination and giving yourself moments of possibility or joyful expressions even if just for minutes a day.
Your imagination doesn’t distinguish between real and not real. It’s all real and from this expansive space is where you create new realities by aligning you with manifestations.
Realities are becoming more fluid and much more instantaneously reflective of our visions, thoughts, and intentions.
So choose wisely, compassionately, and playfully. And choose to let go some times too, having fun running wild with possibility.
You might just find Wonderland inhabits the liminal space between your judgments and your joys.

Deep Winter Dreaming ~ Windows to Your Soul
While they say the eyes are the windows to the soul, dreams can be glimpses of your soul’s calling. You might even say that imagination is the way in which you can hitch a ride on a soul dream and anchor a future window to help navigate your now by. Future windows provide a map for your soul to help guide you. And the more you dance with imagination, the more Spirit will reveal the nature of your being.
Winter feels like dropping into a deep dream where you can envision any potential under her snowy blanket, that no one but you is privy to. In this way, you needn’t feel self-conscious, as Winter merely keeps your secrets safe, but never judges. In this way, you can fly on wings of expansion, as creativity has no limits.
Winter is a beautiful opportunity to softly envision and incubate the dreams and nudges calling you. She creates an enchanted realm perfect for creative brainstorming and quiet reflection on plans that will have you leaping like bunnies come Spring.
There is something only you have to share with the world, so trying to be like others around you is a waste of time and energy. It will not only make you feel uncomfortable, but it will also diffuse your light.
You shine your brightest by bringing through your gifts, as only you can do.
Your dreams reveal your soulful heart and carry message whispers from Spirit about what only you are capable of expressing.
There’s a sweet little niche you came to fill.
There’s a sweet little niche we’ve been waiting for.
So listen to those dreams, nudges, and subtle voices and let this Winter help you root what you know is yours to blossom.
The first photo you see was taken from the window of our new landing spot in Colorado. When peering through the glass I felt a sweet serenity wash over me and a cozy intimacy of being with my vulnerable feelings and dreams in a way that was invited by the fresh snow-covered countryside. It was the crisp vision of our first morning when I woke on my own to feed Astrid and peered through the windows to see what Nature had created from the ongoing snow all night and morning. Fresh possibility invited me and I willingly dropped into that space. The dream felt more clear and tangible than it has in a while.
The last photo you see was taken through the window of our previous landing in Utah on the eve of a snow storm that lasted all day, night and into our departure morning. The landscape looked soft and dreamy, becoming the muse for this post. It felt like Winter’s lullaby inviting me to drift off into dreamland where so much richness takes place. It’s the same richness we can induce by drifting off into our imaginations and seeing where it takes us. The dream felt possible, more fun, and less intimidating.
Between the two bookending dream windows a soft gaze and nurturing quality becomes the road to clear and anchored potential.
If you haven’t already, perhaps the rest of Winter you can let her gently rock you into the season of dreams and see which ones light you up in ways that activate your soul.
If you don’t feel a responsibility to your dream for yourself, it can sometimes be easier to understand its importance by realizing how integral being you is to the collective. So then the responsibility might be to supporting the greater good into realizing and bringing through expressions of being by example.
You may also realize a sense of responsibility to the idea seed in your dream from Spirit and get out of your own way.
Deep Winter dreams can be the windows to your soul.
What dreams seem to keep knocking on your heart door?
Is there one in particular that feels like it won’t go away?
Is there one in particular that really lights you up when ever you imagine the possibilities?
Start there and let yourself go a little further, seeing where the dream would like to take you. There’s no harm in going on an imagination ride. You might just find that the exhilaration is something you don’t want to end.
You might just find that this Winter a new journey of being you has begun.
Acceleration, Rapid Change & Empowered Heart-Centering ~ A Collective & Personal Reflection
Days to me have felt suspended recently, like time outside of time, or as if a bubble of incubation hovers around things. We are all going through varying degrees of transformation, which is like an initiatory phase of accelerated being in motion. It feels like this acceleration is exposing so much of the dramatic experiences all around and within us that have created divide from the underlying layers of pain being exposed so rawly. Duality has been so deeply engrained that we’ve forgotten our true unified nature, and the inner conflict of reconciling these reveals being unleashed more and more is the culprit behind finger-pointing.
Change occurs with conscious responsibility and compassionate embrace. I believe that the more honesty we can incorporate into our reflections, the greater the potential for empowered experiences.
I can feel how fertile the energetic landscape is right now to support new beginnings. Our very DNA is undergoing profound activations streaming through at the cosmic levels and with all of the light codes permeating at these deep levels, we’re bound to experience profound, surprising, and yet interestingly familiar waves of energy available for manifesting at new levels we haven’t yet known in this lifetime.
It feels like the more we can move with the waves, rather than resist them, the easier change will be. You know how hard it is to swim upstream or to go against the ocean’s currents. The same holds true for life. And while it might feel like a personal badge of honor to say you succeeded in bucking the flow, it might also be counterproductive to your energy reserves and where that energy could better serve the greater good.
Old patterns are no longer going to be sustainable or endurable. The more rapid things shift, the more rapidly we will see the unsustainable and misaligned fall apart. This is part of transformation and the better we become at lovingly releasing attachments to rigid and limited ideas, the better equipped we’ll be to handle the rapid change and the quicker we’ll put into place creative new systems that support humanity’s inevitable evolution.
We’re being shown that more harmonious relationships are of utmost importance to nurture with all of existence – human, animal, plant, mineral, planetary, and cosmic. Through pain and suffering, we’ve been given opportunity to rise together, realize our potentials, and live with more profound consciousness and sensitive awareness.
I believe that the more we can deepen into our hearts, the more love can anchor across Earth. And if that is the only thing we each do, it will be more than enough.
And speaking of rapid changes and alignment, I do a lot of reflection while I’m in solitude up on the mountain and because of some things I was tuning into, I felt to share this to my Instagram page recently, which also feels supportive to today’s inspired blog share:
Beautiful expanses that nurture possibility remind me that ultra presence is part of being and truly being is alignment. This state of being is powerful for manifesting, but we are still able to manifest even if we aren’t yet feeling fully in the power of our being because the energetic field of experience is accelerated. This is also why what we manifest can end up feeling like a challenge because it asks us to rise with the new and that might mean some rapid changes are in order.
Since intentions are so powerful and manifesting is more instant, it is equally as important when asking for things, to be mindful of how you would also like to receive them and to understand that what the highest good is, may be different than what you’re attached to thinking it should be.
Perhaps adding, “with gentle grace please,” would be more supportive for your process rather than saying, “bring it!”
And realize that the essence of your desire is what’s key – not the end result.
Manifesting change comes through alignment and things conspire to create that alignment, which includes bringing you what matches that in essence or can get you there in wholeness.
I’m also feeling to throw in a reminder to each of you not to forget both the tools you have available and the power of simply sharing the art of being you through the vortex of your heart. These will help with creatively manifesting the new, aligning with the rapid changes, and walking through any challenges that arise along the way with greater ease and grace.
My Reiki students are quite familiar with hearing me remind them of not only using their gift of Reiki, but more specifically (for Reiki 3 students) not to forget those Reiki Healing Attunements you learned. I still can’t tell you how many people do forget all the tools they have in their empowerment pockets. When crises hit, it’s easy to get knocked off balance and feel confused or unclear. But if you can gently remind yourself that all the years you’ve spent learning things, all the experiences you’ve gone through, and all the classes or books you’ve taken or read are always at hand and within you, you can help to shift a moment of feeling disempowered to a moment of renewed strength, hope, and cocreative influence. Even if that’s simply a moment of greater presence and pause, that can be a game changer in shifting your perspective and diffusing a trigger.
Reiki Healing Attunements continue to be one of the most powerful tools I use and they really aren’t intimidating if you practice them a little each day/week. It will make a big difference once you become familiar with the process as a bridge to support any of your goals.
Remember to be creative with any tool you utilize, including your Reiki practice, and broaden beyond the fundamentals. Allow your intuition to guide you and the natural healer and light being within you to formulate new levels of activation that have even greater potential. Don’t be afraid to think outside the box and implement wider perspectives.
There’s no greater supported time to harness your gifts than now.
Remember also that with accelerated experience and instant manifestation potentials comes also the acceleration of your practices. You can achieve results from minutes of highly heart-engaged intention for the highest good. It doesn’t have to take long to be impactful.
Being is our power and we’re learning to make everything an instant state of being, which includes the way we move energy through us and harness tools or practices of any kind that we choose.
Another thing I felt to address in today’s post that feels interwoven with the themes channeling through so far, is a little inside look at the process of change, moving through fears, and embracing growth.
I’ll reference my personal experience I’ve been working on since the start of this year – facing and growing through my fears associated with skiing and being on steep edges. Again, I’m going to reshare a post I did on Instagram last week, as the message feels pertinent:
There is an ebb and flow to things that is natural. Sometimes it can feel like taking two steps back amidst your momentum, but these are just moments of pause to readjust, check in with your process, go deeper, celebrate your growth, and/or prepare you for the next leap. I experienced my most challenging day last week right after my funnest and most progressed day. The terrain and icy conditions, along with “accidentally” getting on an advanced track/run I shouldn’t have, put all my fears on the table at once.
We were trying to get me across a new mountain we were skiing to something better for me, but my higher self had a plan for this. I ended up on the weirdest track I’ve ever seen that was like the bottom half of a tunnel – similar to a birth canal – that was all icy from end to end, had moguls, was narrow body width, steep, and there was even an area where a tree had fallen down across the track with a tiny opening that had been cut in it to get through. Needless to say it was my worst nightmare, but I managed to hold it together, the Universe helped out of the blue with a manifestation that helped me at one point, I was able to consciously talk myself through it, and I got down safely with the experience of a definite shift having taken place.
In the past, this would have made me break down and cry and maybe even need serious help getting down after I likely would have froze from fear. But the experience, instead, became a chance for me to harness my process I have learned, which ended up keeping me safe and not falling, as well as able to stay focused and keep methodically present so that unconscious feelings were acknowledged, but not my guiding force.
I was able to cradle them with the loving strength of a father (productive Capricorn energies at work) and trust that I could support that part of me and inner child through. And I did.
And although the rest of the day continued in a similar fashion because of conditions and terrain, I managed to stick to it with slow encouragement and adjustments and took pause and stopped when I felt to.
By honoring and embracing these periods of change, I was able to make the most out of it and not push myself, but rather just work with what I had and not care about needing to have it be a certain way or like the day before. I embraced that different is okay and that some days these lows can actually prove to reflect my greatest growth.
I may not have looked the most graceful on the mountain, but my internal processing was one of loving grace toward self.
One might think that performing well would reflect that alone, but in fact how I embrace a challenge is to me something really worth celebrating.
It really isn’t always about transforming the experience into an idealized end result, but more about the growth you learn to implement as the new, natural, more empowered process along the way.
For me, I feel like the first two to three months of 2021 is about this integration growth process to help navigate brand new terrain with greater confidence and trust.
It’s also a winding down period in terms of completing projects and focuses from 2020, while also releasing all the old energies last year brought to the collective foreground.
And finally, it’s a time for listening so that I can continue to stay aligned with the accelerated energies at hand, flow with rapid changes, support the implementation of creative change by fine-tuning where inspiration is guiding me, and do it all through a more consciously empowered, heart-centered process.
Tomorrow finishes our time out at the first landing of our journey, as we will be heading to Colorado come Saturday morning. We’ve had a great time exploring the area here in and around Park City, Utah and are looking forward to our return to Colorado – we haven’t been there since our time in the Magick Bus on our rv adventures. It will undoubtedly bring back memories of Joy and Cosmo – my dear rabbit companions who were both with us when last we were there – and will come at synchronous timing since Monday will be the six year anniversary of when Cosmo first came home to join our family and become Joy’s bonded companion for the rest of her life. Colorado seemed to be one of the shifting points along our journey then, so I’m interested in seeing how things unfold.
It’s also in Colorado where I’ll be teaching the first new online class of 2021 – Intuition & Reiki ~ Empowered Intuitive Development. The class has been full, but I’ve been considering some ways I can shift how I’m doing things so that I could make some more spots available since people had been inquiring.
So, if you were one of the people interested, please let me know, as I’m feeling I could make it work to accommodate 1-2 more.

In the meantime, I’m continuing to wind down like I mentioned, and not taking on any other commissions, projects, or sessions – just completing what’s on hand currently so that Spring will be a time of renewed focus for me.

She embodies the creative spark and vitality of Nature within. Her fragrance is Cosmic and illuminates for all willing to journey with her into the womb of essence.
So many people right now are following their dreams, committing to them, and taking the action that ultimately results in manifestation – myself included, which kicks off with my book I’ve been working on with full dedication.
I just heard from a dear friend today about her new business launching in full motion, and I was so excited to learn how I was a part of that. I also corresponded with another friend sharing with me his dream that he believes in despite what other’s think, and I encouraged him to keep that mindset and go for it.
Yes, it takes focus and dedication, but if you truly want something you will do what you can in any way to bring that into being.
I’ll leave you with this quote about if you feel a dream tugging at you and you don’t know the how:

June 2018 Energy Update with Lee Harris ~ Power & Vulnerability
There’s always some great seeds of insight in Lee’s Energy Updates so I’m sure you’ll find June’s just as supportive. I agree with him that May provided another level of clarity for me as well, as I was surfing through a variety of choices and paths. That felt important to sit with and integrate before taking action and now things do feel to have a new momentum. You can explore choices in your imagination through the now to feel into a potential future self and how that resonates for you.
Lee speaks about how manifestation is “magnetic” right now and instant…I think we’ve all been experiencing that, and as I mentioned in a recent blog about creative connections with others really increasing, Lee speaks to this wave and how it’s really demonstrating the oneness we share.
He also talks about authentic power coming through our experience and expression of vulnerability and how this dance between the two will continue and lead to greater connection and trust. Enjoy and Happy June!
Time is A Useful Illusion
Since more and more people are experiencing multiple timelines, tapping into their multi-dimensionality, are accessing more than one reality, seeing through veils, and having synchronicity and alignments more frequently, I thought this video by Jesse Elder and his explanation of “time as an illusion” would be helpful to spark more latent DNA and remembering. When you harness this understanding, you’ll find yourself manifesting more and living more vibrantly. As in Reiki, we learn that we can bridge “time,” you can do this with intent on a day-to-day basis simply by expanding your perspective and letting yourself wander through the possibilities. Information like this leads to true empowerment. Just listening to this video will be an activation in itself.

Seeding Possibilities & Cultivating Well-Being
Did you know that playing, being silly, laughing, and approaching life with curiosity are incredibly supportive and boosting to your overall well-being, quality of life, creative energy, and your immune system? When you keep that connection to your inner child alive, you experience the benefits of a healthy, low to no stress, and constantly wondrous way of experiencing life, rather than living in continuous fret and fear. Other ways to create better quality of life, experience more balance and harmony, as well as enhanced presence, perception, and intuitive and creative abilities are spending more time in nature, communing with the natural world in any form, as well as being willing to challenge yourself to embrace change more by aligning your vibration with things rather than fighting them.
Spring is a wonderful opportunity to explore where you feel called to plant new seeds in any area of your life and commit to cultivating it. Sometimes if you literally do this, it will stream into your life in ways you can’t imagine.
By literal I mean plant actually seeds or nurture a cherished plant or animal with the intention that it signifies something in your life you also want to blossom. Then watch this trickle out into more enthusiasm and energy pouring into the actual thing you do want to manifest. If you can devote even just a little of your love and attention to something and see the results, you understand how this process can be duplicated in the rest of your life as well. It doesn’t have to be an overnight thing, but you will see the benefits simply by committing to it.
I was a bit overwhelmed, to say the least, when I discovered the nudge to write this new book of mine and that it ended up developing into much more than I originally thought it would be. Yet, with continued commitment and nurturing of the process that presented itself to me, it’s become a wondrous journey of enjoyment, self growth, and creative enhancement that fuels passion in my life and opened up so many new doors of potentials unraveling. All, simply by deciding to nurture that seed within me that was stirring like a Cosmic cauldron of possibility.
And with Spring here, I’m doing the other thing I shared with you, as in literally planting seeds – 72 to be exact – that will have twofold purpose of nurturing Astrid’s needs, but also symbolically representing the plethora of new ideas brewing within me to manifest. I decided to grow organic baby plants for her all by seed this time, since my bulbs I planted in Autumn did so well. Crossing finger, toes, and wings this success rate continues! 😉
I recently saw an exciting discovery of sprouting from the five daffodil bulbs I planted last year when our house was in renovation. I planted them on the Full Moon, in fact, which was an intention for planting my garden of life with hopes of my dreams to blossom. And, they have been and are continuing to. When I planted them, a very healthy earthworm revealed herself in the soil where I dug their rooting ground, and I knew this was a sign that all would be well and supported because of my willingness to plant the seeds and care for them. Then Winter came and went and with Spring thaw they started sprouting.
I later planted several variety of irises – all of these bulbs gifted to me by special Faery, Laura from her garden. Apparently the irises will come later she told me and within a month or so I should see them too! Soon we’ll have lovely blooms and surprise colors lining the entry to our home! And my own garden of dreams will be mirroring this blooming.
And that leads to the baby plants intended for Astrid. I’ve started all the bunny goodness in this mini greenhouse indoors and have a seedling heat mat under it too.
Normally, in California I just directly planted the seeds in my Garden Tower or in the ground, but here with the difference in weather, am needing to begin indoors and then can transplant into my Garden Tower outside my office sliding door that has the perfect Southwest exposure.
I’m growing her two kinds of Romaine, cilantro, dill, sage, oregano, arugula, sweet basil, lemon balm, endive, dandelion, and a variety of wildflowers.
I do everything by faery intuition and am organic in my processes so it’s always a lovely surprise to see what unfolds. Yet, I see the mirroring reflection of the creative projects I am cultivating step-by-step in my life as well.
I love the action of seeding intention in literal ways, as other things percolate and evolve.
And action puts creative energy into motion and exponentially grows the possibilities.
Add in love to cultivate and nurture it and you’ll eventually find yourself smelling the roses in your garden of blossoms that manifest.
And speaking of new doors and closing old ones. Yesterday, I sent out a newsletter announcing it to be my last, as I am feeling led to close my Constant Contact account to focus elsewhere. I also announced that I’ll eventually have a new website and likely new email address, which could look like this blog evolving into new paths of sharing, or a separate website to replace my two others of http://www.taniamarie.com and http://www.spiritualskin.com.
So for now, that means really that this blog site is the best way to keep updated and receive inspiration, especially if you’re not on any social media platforms, where I also share. It’s also the best way to contact me if you don’t have my email, or if in the event my email gets changed, as I foresee.
These won’t happen immediately since it’s still in percolation, although you never know when since I’m someone who once I get the idea to do something and the nudge it needs to be done now, doesn’t linger.
I am constantly guided to fully close the old doors, so that my energy isn’t still lingering around in anything and can fully be propelling me in the forward momentum of the seeds I’ve planted.

Front Door Feng Shui Synchronicity
Our new front door is in, which feels symbolic of creating a new doorway and portal into a fresh reality, as access from a whole new internal circuitry we’re building. Although we still have to put in a peephole viewer, which will provide greater vision, each time I open it and enter or greet someone, it’s pretty incredible how it feels like a different world on both sides.
One of the things I love in this house is the doors, as we have these antique, vintage, wood doors at each entry to a room and some of the closets that come from an old mansion in Reno. These are one of the only things we kept for now, from the original decor, as they have this unique charm and energy, and add an interesting mix of mystery and story to the modern upgrades taking place. Once remodeling is done, I intend to clean and shine them to bring out their rich wood color and make them really pop.
Each door is different and no two are the same in size. They also have their original old brass and copper hardware and knobs, which add personality to each. If they could each speak, they would reveal their own legend.
To me, they compliment the wise trees of the forest and the essence of this Forest Portal in creating different worlds and realities you cross thresholds into with each guardian door.
I love the mix of old and new, creating a feel of ancient portals themselves and symbolizing how we can write our own story with each new day and movement forward.
Another cool thing I discovered, which seems to happen all the time, is that the color we chose for our front door ended up being the perfect color in Feng Shui for its direction.
I’m no expert in Feng Shui and don’t know that much within that realm, as mostly I just do everything by intuition and inner guidance. However, I had a friend who is a Feng Shui expert visit our house in Costa Mesa once for a Reiki Master Teacher training with me and she went through the house to see what could be enhanced and told me that we’d already done everything energetically supportive, simply by intuition. She ended up just providing ways we could amp that up.
So, it was cool to discover we’d done the same with our front door and its color, without having researched it first.
We felt drawn to the color red maple, which is what you see in the photo and just recently I decided to look into whether or not this was aligned with Feng Shui, and in fact it was.
Our door faces Northeast and what I discovered is that the best colors (in order of most enhancing) for a Northeast facing door are earthy/sandy colors, terra cotta, yellow, burgundy, red, purple, deep orange, and rich pink.
The element for the direction of Northeast is Earth and its corresponding bagua energy (there are 8 of these) is Spirituality and Personal Growth. A bagua is like an energy map that reflects to you which areas of your home or a room are connected to specific areas of your life. However, you can enhance a Northeast facing front door by adding the element of Fire, which nourishes the Earth element by creating it. So adding the red, purple, deep orange, strong yellow, and rich pink, as mentioned above, are ways to do that.
So, our red maple color we chose was in every way perfect (red being the Fire and maple being the Earth), creating that earthy and terra cotta color – signatures of Northeast.
Your front door is a way your house absorbs energy that will help to nurture and cultivate your personal energy, so anything that can enhance this portal will help strengthen the overall energy available to you.
It’s fun to discover things after the fact, but we can also spend a little time looking into these things to help enhance energies in our lives, as a way of co-creating with the elements available for manifesting that alchemy of life we desire.
Everyday I Fall In Love A Little Bit More
Living here is such an incredible reminder of what is possible in terms of creating and manifesting reflections of my heart’s desires and having the peace I feel within, mirrored to me. When I first saw this house, despite knowing we would be doing a complete internal demolish and remodel, I knew the footprint, its energy, the layout, and the essence of the land here was meant for us. I always felt the end result and not the process and the Faeries kept reiterating this to me with signs, messages, and to continue to trust even when challenges arose. They told me to be patient and they would handle the details, which they did and have.
Although we’re still in remodeling mode, the major work is starting to wind down and we’re beginning to see the fruits of our labor come together.
This includes the magick of the forest land we sit on and our expansive forest backyard.
Yesterday our contractors left early so we had opportunity just before sunset to do a short hike out back. All of the photos you see here are of this trail we took from our home.
We have a whole grid work of hiking/biking trails right off our deck and yesterday we discovered a new one, which was this big loop that takes us through the forest, across a creek, along it, then through meadows, and back into the woods and along a second creek that then returns us home.
It was gorgeous and the light of the day had an aura of golden glow that just lit everything up with enchantment.
Soon this whole area will be covered in thick blankets of snow and we’ll be able to wander to our heart’s content on snow shoes. Dave intends to try out cross country skiing too, which will be perfect here as well.
To have this as our backyard is just incredible. I would say “pinch me,” but I know I’m not dreaming.
It’s taken me nearly 45 years of my life to get here, but it’s been worth the work and wait. Couldn’t have happened at a better time and goes again to show you that all things have their divine alignments, as now is when this all means the most to me and supports the next phase of life I’m entering.
