Be the Bridge

The Bridge…..

See what someone can become – their wholeness of being, not solely what they appear to be.

See the magnificence of possibility in an individual. Then you can see what they are attached to as a current reality – their pain, their tragedies, their story of incompleteness.

By doing this you create the space between – an immeasurable void of enlightenment.

You see what is and what could be.

This place is the origin and return where the stars of the Cosmos are alive within.

When you meet someone in this void and infuse intent into the starry constellations of the heart center, a shift will occur and becoming is activated.

Stars move and form anew.

Love is the Bridge.

~

The Heart Chakra is where unconditional love resides. It is the balancing integrator of opposites (between body and spirit, male and female, persona and shadow, ego and unity) and acts as an energetic “bridge” between the lower and upper chakras.

Love is the most powerful energy in the Universe and is a vital energy to be focusing on every moment of every day, more so now than ever. Holding your hand over your heart with conscious connection, for even just minutes a day, can help you to stay present in your heart, help heal and open it to greater depths. It can help you to see with eyes of love and choose, respond, and act from love. Ask for help in doing so from your guides, angels, your Source connection and even ask your essence to be present in your higher heart always.

Ask Astrid Fridays ~ The Rabbit’s Corner: Your Higher Heart Can Free You

As we celebrate this first day of February, many things come to mind for this month of “LOVE” ignited by today’s celebration of the magickal Imbolc (the halfway mark between Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox) and a very magickal soul’s birthday. For any of you new here to my blog, Nestor is my twin soul in rabbit body who departed this Earth plane 11 years ago. Today is her Earth birthday – she would have been 16.

nestor-new-year-4-years-oldNestor's New Year 4th Birthday 001February also happens to be my birthday month, although I’m at the end – so our hearts hold each side of the bridge of love celebrated in this month.

I always honor and celebrate Nestor and Astrid shares this deep respect for her, as her mentor. The two of them are very similar in many ways – more so than any of my bunnies have been in relation to each other.

In fact, Nestor has seen to it that others of our soul family (like Astrid, Joy, Cosmo, and Gaia) have found their way to me and me to them. She constantly watches over and guides me, cares for my human self when she feels me in need, sends me messages and signs, supports me with my path and life’s work, and fuels my heart with greater and deeper love – much like Astrid does on Earth for me.

And where there is love, there is no separation.

Astrid wants today’s message to be about moving into our hearts more deeply, but also more expansively. She senses that while many are experiencing great openings in their lives, she feels those of you who still struggle and are finding yourself feeling trapped in a dark place you feel you can’t get out of, which may in fact reflect a tipping point opportunity.

She wants me to share a short story about what happened this morning and then will share why this was important and how it reflects her message for today.

I was busy cleaning up her bunny kingdom today and had left the usually closed bathroom door, slightly ajar after having gone in to get some paper towels to wipe down her litter box.

After I was done, and passed it to go get her fresh water and goji juice for her bowl, I closed the door fully. I returned not seeing her and went on a search to find her throughout the house, calling her name and looking under every one of her hiding places or potential unseen areas by the naked eye that she might have run off to.

She was nowhere to be found and I was a bit frantic, wondering if she’d fallen through a portal or something. 🙂

Finally, after surveying both floors three times, I wondered if she might have gotten deep into my closet and I closed the door on her by accident – nope.

Lastly, I thought, hmmm, could she have snuck by me and gotten into the bathroom in that short period it was slightly open and I closed the door on her?

The latter was in fact the case.

As I reached for the old vintage door knob and opened it, I saw her sitting on top of the toilet seat staring at me. She had in fact been closed into the dark bathroom and decided if she couldn’t get out the way she came in, she’d get higher, sit still, and hope I’d hear her heart in answer to my calls of her name.

“So what does this have to do with your message for today, Astrid?” I ask.

She replies, “This was my way of identifying with the people who find themselves struggling and feeling trapped in a dark place they can’t find a way out of. It happens to all of us and to struggle more is like sinking deeper into quicksand. It simply won’t help. These are the times to find your center, sit still while immersed in the dark, and elevate into your higher heart so that you can send and receive the clearest communication of love to where it’s needed the most, within and and without.”

“What do you mean?” I ask.

“Well, when you feel lost, lonely, in pain, and are struggling, much of this involves a separation from love – the most expansive and unconditional kind. The gap grows wider between your ability to understand things because you enter the mind’s reasoning alone and abandon the heart’s knowing. While I sat in the dark I could feel all of that fear and anxiety – mine and the collective’s rush through me – and realized I could either go mad trying to claw my way a tunnel through impossible doors, OR I could elevate my heart and mind and open to a wider perspective that would free me. I could move into my higher heart and find the well of love there I could use to create the peace I needed for myself and the situation, while I calmed myself and used that clarity of heart to speak to you in the language of love telepathy that I knew would reach your heart,” Astrid explains.

“Wow! Well said, Astrid. It makes perfect sense to me.”

“Yes, and when you were stressed today about unexpected things,” she continues, “you didn’t realize how you did the same.”

“Oh, you’re right! After that initial rush of anxiety, I did what elevates me into my heart the most and thought of this being Nestor’s birthday, and looked at you and cuddled with you for a bit. That brought me back to my peace and center, nurtured my truth, and my heart suddenly bridged a new perspective to my mind that shifted me out of the stress instantly and enabled me to detach completely,” I reply.

“Exactly,” Astrid answers.

“I guess we both found our way through the darkness and each other today,” I said.

“Through love,” Astrid replies. “An elevated kind of love, which is where we are headed. Just like you shared yesterday about your new teal hair feeling to reflect the higher heart. That is no coincidence my dear friend.”

I smile.

“As you said, where there is love there is no separation. We only feel lost, alone, scared, angry, or sad, because we have yet to BE this love. Love has been intellectualized and analyzed, with only short spurts of actually residing in it – if in fact we haven’t denied or repressed it altogether. Yet, we often live outside of it and only venture into its home in dire circumstances, by accident, or as a fleeting moment. We’ve forgotten that we were never homeless and we’ve forgotten how rich we are in the only currency that we can take with us beyond Earth – LOVE,” Astrid concludes.

I had a feeling that this morning’s experience with Astrid getting locked in the bathroom was no arbitrary thing once I saw her sitting there so purposefully, like a wise soul, atop the toilet seat throne.

Her message feels important to me and perhaps it will to you too on a level that is needed at this time. I feel she is speaking to us moving beyond what we think we’ve known as love into a much more expansive, bigger picture, and harmonic experience of love – very fitting for the first day of the month of love.

It’s no wonder that this little rose quartz tree sitting atop an amethyst mound was the only thing I returned back from Sedona with. I visited Crystal Magic and was only drawn to the beautiful crystal trees, and when I couldn’t decide between about four of them, I tuned into Astrid and asked which she would like me to bring home for her and me.

The answer was clear, as you can below.

Rose quartz is the stone of the heart and unconditional love. Amethyst is February’s stone and is spiritually elevating in ways that transmute energies into higher frequencies of love.

Rabbits are reflections of growth, rebirth, awareness, harmony, abundance, creativity, fertility, vulnerability, and Mother Earth’s changing seasons and rabbits (especially white rabbits) are traditionally symbolic of Imbolc, Candlemas, and Spring. They really help us leap into the energies available to us this new month, as shared in Lee’s Energy Update below that synchronously holds a similar vibe to Astrid’s message.

Astrid, Nestor and all of my rabbit soul companions have been powerful way-showers of these energies, and most importantly of love for me. Cosmo, as you may remember, was and is the epitome of this steadfast love Astrid speaks of. And all of my bunny partners help me to return there when needed.

Nestor was always a great reflector for me of what I was missing and needed to take care of within myself. And she continues to be a daily reminder in my heart, keeping me on track and not straying from my own need for consistent inner harmony. Thank you Nestor and Astrid for today’s insight and lesson.

I wish you all an extra love-filled February and to end this share here’s Lee Harris to expound on this month’s themes he is feeling for the continuation of this new 7-year cycle of elevation we’re in – “The Era of Higher Harmonics, Elevated Love & Abundance Shifts.”

Update: Today marked the end of our Giveaway on Instagram celebrating the upcoming launch of our new Etsy shop. We announced the recipient and surprised four others with a gift too. We’re so grateful to everyone who joined and for helping to raise money for rescue rabbits, as for each entry I committed to donating $1 to a rabbit rescue of my choice. February is starting off full of LOVE!

Green Reflections

20160206_171227_resized

Green is a color that represents many things to many people – a melting pot of symbolism.

The word green is closely related to the Old English verb growan, meaning “to grow.” Everything blooming, growing…a never-ending, cyclical process.

Growth is our natural state and anything less than this, simply is “unnatural.”

The most common association for green seems to be found in its ties to nature, naturally.

To me, green is the Earth and its gardens and the caring for it.

It’s the color that stimulates transformation, healing, harmony, fertility, abundance and prosperity, endurance, stability, and regal presence.

It represents safe passage (like the green traffic light), balances emotions, calms, and is also the alchemy of consciousness from one realm to another through the spiraling energies of DNA.

The feeling of green is Earthy and yet still feels very much like liquid, with a fluidity that is enchanting.

And yet mostly, for me, green denotes love, with its Heart Chakra resonance.

Happy March!

Ask the Heart ~ Lee Harris

“The heart needs its healing and will not rest until it has it. Why? Because the heart is you and you need your healing. The heart is the seat of your soul, the core of your soul. It is the leader of your experience on Earth. Even though it is greatly aided by all of the other colors and energies you possess, it dictates the flow, the mood, the set-up of your day.

The experiences you create and manifest will both serve and respond to your heart. And where your heart is not being served, where you are ignoring its needs, you will find yourself stumbling from difficulty to difficulty – created for yourself in order to remind you to return to your heart. And when you return to your heart, you will see your life and your ideas will not be that different. But with heart energy behind those ideas, they will be in truth for you and so far more successful, far more in flow and, far easier to manifest.

Diving into the heart each morning is a solution for many of you at this time of great change. When you find yourselves thrown by your hearts on a daily basis, distracted from life or pulled out of what you are doing by your feelings. Your feelings are the most important thing for you to attend to at this time. If you allow your feelings and their requirements when they rise to be present in your life, they will pass through. If you fight or suppress them, they will hang around for longer because they need to be served – and released.

Grief and sadness do not belong to you. You have to let them go. Joy and happiness do not belong to you. You have to let them go too. Life is a kaleidoscope that you agreed to be a part of – it will become more peaceful. There will be far less human pain and struggle the more you progress, but the attachments will lead you astray. Not from your path or your truth, for if you allow yourself to be led by attachments, you are learning from that experience. There is no wrong turn you can take. All is your creation. If you no longer wish to be led astray from your heart’s desires, needs and your heart energy – allow yourself the experience of this exercise.

By giving your heart this attention each morning, a greater level of relationship will automatically be reached within you. It will give many of you great stability, especially on days when you are experiencing struggle. you will work with the energies that need attending to within your heart in a concentrated form so that they do not need to be manifested in your life. You will have dealt with the bulk of the energy each morning. Sometimes you will find the energy will be dissolved and you will return to peace by the end of the exercise.

Do not be alarmed by whatever you find in your heart each morning. If you find sadness, accept it for it will not be there forever. It will move. It always does. Sometimes it takes longer and that is fine. Just allow and accept. When you begin to allow and accept the heart, it moves forward fast and your experience of peace comes faster, deeper, truer and more felt than ever before.

This is the key to your soul evolution – this heart energy – this heart power you possess.”

“I have no right to call myself one who knows. I was one who seeks, and I still am, but I no longer seek in the stars or in books; I’m beginning to hear the teachings of my blood pulsing within me. My story isn’t pleasant, it’s not sweet and harmonious like the invented stories; it tastes of folly and bewilderment, of madness and dream, like the life of all people who no longer want to lie to themselves.” ~Hermann Hesse

Universal Love, Service & Wisdom of Authentic Remembrance – 3 Simple Laws That Showed Up Again

ChakanaThree nudges makes a charm. This is the third time within the last two days that my post on The Three Incan Laws comes to my attention. It’s actually a post that has drawn a lot of resonance and interest since it first went up and has been very meaningful for a lot of people in varying ways.

The three nudges included 1) a new client that was drawn in by it, 2) it suddenly popping into my thoughts last evening likely based on its message link to current energies and an upcoming retreat, and 3) the lovely Angela Gerber of Butterfly Effects Meditation (who wears her own pair of magickal butterfly wings tattooed on her back to reveal her inner Butterfly Goddess) asked to share it along with some of her own thoughts, in a post for her website, which went live today here:

The Three Incan Laws Tattoos

So with that, I am feeling guided to reshare it, as the foundational simplicity of the three laws really speak to creating harmony and grace within your experience of life.

Creating a Gateway Through the Heart Chakra for Connection & Telepathic Communication

Heart Sanctum

Heart Sanctum ~ “Love In, Love Out” by Tania Marie

I was reading a channeled message this morning about “The Power of Portals” from Peggy Black and the “team” and found it to be aligned with what I wanted to share today about the heart and its ability to bridge communication by assisting with telepathy. In the message, they discussed the energy centers/portals that exist in all dimensions, both planetary and off-planet, as well as the ones that reside within our body temples – called Chakras. All of these acting as gateways into other spaces and dimensions, as well as to deeper levels of connecting.

The part that of course stood out was the sharing about the Heart and its powerful importance in our roles as the Multi-dimensional Beings that we are. Why? Because to me, the Heart has always held the key and is my truth for alchemy of all experiences.

It is also the Heart that creates the possibility for pure and vulnerable communication. It can assist you in clearing the other Chakras and empowering them into their wholeness, as it is the integrative “Bridge” between all of them – Lower and Upper. When this clarity opens more and more within your Chakra system – governed by the heart, this is when telepathic relating becomes much clearer and easier to exchange between each other, as it once was.

I know I’ve said it before, but telepathy is my preferred method of communicating and have always been utilizing it even though I write and talk just as anyone else. I do find words to be limiting however, and so this is when I may go silent and yet am ever-present.

There is much more going on beneath the surface in all that I convey and I find that it is so much easier to share the magnitude of feeling or to describe something, when it is conveyed through a projected feeling, vision, essence…

I’ve been excited to see how telepathy is increasing and this is evident in all of the synchronous and immediate experiences that take place right after you feel or think something inside of, and with all of, your heart. Others are picking up on it and reflecting it back. And the more and more we work with the healing power of the heart, the more powerful all of our experiences become and the more pure and clear of intent they are.

It is my hope that we continue to re-engage this innate ability we have, as it truly makes for more simplified ways of experiencing. It removes the veils and walls, as well as the need to manipulate or devise ways of expressing ourselves that create confusion, static and inconsistency, since they do not match the energy and feeling behind the words. Yes, of course this may be scary, to actually have your feelings revealed, but the truth is, they already ARE being felt and known, whether you like it or not.

People just may not be telling you, yet you may find, if you become more present in heart with yourself and others, that you will know right away when you are being true to yourself, when others are being true, and why perhaps different circumstances than you hoped from what you concocted to say, happen. And why perhaps some people are not in your experience anymore or are not as eager to listen to what you have to say, until you align your feelings and thoughts more.

People who are sensitive to energy, feel the truth behind your words. And your own experiences reveal the truth, as you manifest, attract, and reflect exactly what is a mirror of your energy and core feelings, not what is a mirror of your words.

In order to align with all parts of yourself, the Heart will be your best support system in doing so, as it helps you to intuitively sense from its awareness. It has the ability to feel and see where something is blocked and closed within your Chakras and through its wisdom and healing, can help to shift, and in essence return, the imagined pains into free flowing empowerment once again.

And when you have an empowered and clear heart, you not only will have more enriching connections and communication here on Earth with all of life, but you will also create a pure gateway to Galactic and Universal energy at large.

As one of my favorite Books/Movies – The Secret of Nimh – shares from the words of Nicodemus (as you know simplicity is what I favor):

“Courage of the heart is very rare. The stone has a power when it’s there.” – In essence, when you have the courage to embrace, TRULY, going into the vulnerability of your heart, you discover its strength that has the power to move mountains and to change anything with its alchemy.

Here is the channeled message from Peggy and the “team” I will leave you with:

“The most important portal/chakra in the human is the heart. It is the heart which manages and maintains the entire physical form. It is the consciousness of the heart, the energy field of the heart that is the link and the connection to the divine and to life itself. The heart is the gateway to all awareness and well-being. The heart is the thinking/feeling/knowing aspect of a multidimensional starhuman.

Your culture, your society; your programming and teachings have not included this important piece of information. It is the mystic, the seer, the sensitive who has recognized that the heart is the doorway to all intelligent knowing.

The health of the human heart is and has been one of the mysteries in your medical field. What is not included in the information is the realization that the heart is the cosmic gateway for each individual. This is the seat of your unique self. It is from the open, loving, conscious heart that all things unfold and all mysteries are resolved.

We are inviting you to continue with your dedicated intention to heal your heart portal for it is through this heart portal that galactic and universal energy is received.

The most important tool in the healing, harmonizing and balancing of your heart portal is to continue to turn your awareness to the vibrations of joy, gratitude and appreciation. It is the power of these vibrations which allows the heart center/heart portal to heal from all the emotional wounds carried. It is your willingness and intent that can heal your heart.

The heart portal was designed to serve as the gateway to the stars. This heart portal allows the energy to flow from divine source and the heart center processes this energy for the expansion of the human being.

Each human being is asked to give service work for the wholeness and healing of the heart center of humanity. It is when human beings live from an open and healed heart portal that they know and feel their connections with each other as the true multidimensional star beings that they are.”

The “Emerald” Heart Path – Alchemy for Challenges

raw emerald

I woke this morning feeling drawn to my raw Emerald that sits on my desk daily and felt that a blog post around its energy, which is connected to the Heart Chakra, was in store. More specifically, I knew it was about sharing the importance of “Authentic Heart” presence, again, as a powerful tool to assist the challenges that people are experiencing.

Heart Chakra energy focus was coming in strong through the collective needs and interestingly today’s Mantra Meditation (if you’re following Deva Premal and Miten’s 21-Day Mantra Meditation Journey) happened to be the Mantra for “I am Love” ~ Aham Prema, which I ended up doing while holding my Emerald friend. Synchronicity always at work. 😉 Another synchronicity was that it is the 4th Mantra Meditation and this coincides with the Heart Chakra being the 4th Chakra.

I received a lot of messages in resounding connection to, relief, and gratitude, between yesterday and this morning, in relation to the newsletter update I sent out sharing about the energy we are all currently going through, compounded by the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio. People are really feeling hit hard and going through intense things right now, including the animals.

In line with my message received about the Heart Chakra focus as a way to support these shifts, synchronously, Laura Bruno shared some very helpful ways and tools to help you keep balanced and grounded amidst everything going on and from not absorbing things around you in her blog post: How to Protect Yourself from Empathing Societal Angst and EMF Madness.

One of the ways she mentioned was through helpful crystals and stones. Another serendipitous connection to today’s post. 😉

I just felt guided today to focus again, as I write and teach a lot about the Heart Chakra, on that unconditional love and compassion energy, as it is so needed right now towards yourself and others to gently support all of the intensity of these very intense and interesting times.

Perhaps even when you gaze upon my lovely raw Emerald friend (which incidentally reminds me of the shape of the actual physical human heart when you see it in person) you can feel her energy speaking to your heart and helping to envelope you in a green blanket of nurturing love.

I’ve shared many times about where my company name, Emerald Bridge, was derived from – divinely inspired as a reflection of the Heart Chakra, which is the source of powerful, creative and unconditional love energy that acts as an energetic “bridge” and balancing integrator that emanates Divine power. And the Emerald is one stone that promotes emotional and spiritual balance and is naturally connected to the Heart – Anahata Chakra, helping to balance the energy flow between the upper and lower three Chakras.

Like the heart, Emerald is a way to inspire a return to natural harmony within and without.

In our deepest moments of struggle, frustration, fear, and confusion, we are being called upon to reach in and touch our hearts. Then, we will know what to do, what to say, how to be.  What is right is always in our deepest heart of hearts.  It is from the deepest part of our hearts that we are capable of reaching out and touching another human being.  It is, after all, one heart touching another heart. ~Roberta Sage Hamilton

The Way is not in the sky.  The way is in the heart. ~Buddha

As we travel deeper into transmutation, it is our hearts that will need to open wider and expand to envelope everything that is. This is a time to recreate from the inside out, after tearing down the old foundations to build anew from the strength of your ever-resilient heart.

I know things feel heavy for many of you and like sometimes you are stuck in quicksand, but what is the best thing to do when you actually are caught in quicksand, rather than flail, struggle and fight?

Be still.

In the stillness you can be with and receive from your truth. The more you fill up your time with this and that, external comforts, temporary numbing, instant gratification, reaching for the next exhilarating rush or wallow in self-sabotaging thoughts and old emotions, the more you keep yourself off balance and unable to hear the voice within that has wisdom to share if you only would nurture it.

The heart is the way and it is what keeps us balanced, flowing, healthy, and in harmony, matching its rhythm to the beat of all that is natural and sustainable, amidst the constant fluctuations. Through the Heart Chakra we are able to see to the “heart of the matter” and are presented new perspectives that can help us immediately shift our experiences and create healing alchemy.

The deeper we go into our feelings and pains to receive their pearl of wisdom, the deeper we heal and create greater capacity to love. The heart is resilient and strong, holding within it the most powerful energy in the Universe, which is why we still go on, despite and in light of it all, and do so with the potential for greater and greater possibilities.

I also love the other synchronicity in Laura’s post about “singing” and how it can be helpful as well during these times. If you remember I had posted about the new experiences of integrative healing that will be focused on during the next Bimini retreat and one of the things I mentioned was that “my unique sound melody healing may make an appearance if the occasion arises to support integrative healing.”

Sound has been an important facet of me since I was a baby in this life, and carried forth from past lives. In this life it has always been powerfully transformative and is something I have infused into my healing work and paintings, that sings to people through my embedding it in the process. But I have used musical sound for major shifts, including a profound experience I can share about another time when I visited Egypt on my first of two trips in this life. It seems to be coming surfacing more now in direct ways, and as always, I flow with where I’m guided. I’ve expressed about the mantra chanting already and how powerful that can be, but I love what Laura shared in her post today about sound:

“Release energy by making a joyful noise unto the heavens. Watch what words you’re repeating through song, since music intensifies the power of words. Once you find sacred chants or affirmative songs you love, let ‘er rip. You’ll strengthen your throat and heart chakras, enabling you to align your words with your heart. You’ll also increase your intuition and spiritual awareness, joy (2nd chakra), confidence, and feel more grounded in your body through the physical act of singing instead of just mentally mumbling the words.”

So express whatever wants to come through you song-fully, as long as it is from the joy of your heart, and you will experience the power inherent in loving sound. It is life-altering, as sound is a Universal resonance that transcends.

Just remember to release judgments, to the best of your ability, while you are going through everything and to be gentle right now with all that you are processing and experiencing…and S L O W down a bit to breathe and be able to really focus on refocusing. The extra external stimulation with so much already going on in and around you can be enough to blow you out and keep you away from the core transformative things trying to get your attention – AND away from being in your heart.

Surrounding yourself with only things that mirror the new that you are focused on creating, and releasing all of the old toxicity in your life will be of great benefit.

And whichever supportive tools and experiences you feel drawn to – for me that is my crystal friends, my animal companions, tons of Earth nature time (as Laura called it in her blog: “Get Dirty” time), music, doing only what feels right in my heart, and retreat – utilize these well.

Here is some interesting information about Emeralds I thought you might enjoy, which for myself speaks very deeply. Like Laura mentioned, as with the Raw Ruby from me that she has and discussed, raw stones are much more affordable than cut and I find them to be far more energetically resonating right now, as they are naturally connected with the Earth. So perhaps you may be drawn to get one for yourself and in the process will find yourself a heart-supportive friend to aid your deep, integrative healing and awareness:

Emerald is a name believed to come from Ancient Greek work called “smaragdos” which was originally applied to a different green colored minerals, but simply means “green stone.” They say its history is traced back to Egypt where they were mined in Cairo before 2000 B.C. – one of these mines being associated with the Egyptian Queen Cleopatra because of her love and honor for and use of the gem. The mine was named “Cleopatra’s Mine” and beautiful jewelry was fashioned with it by the Egyptians.

Emeralds were also prized by the ancient Babylonians and Indians, as well as used by the Aztecs, Incas, and Mayan cultures for carving, adornment and even medicine.

A Roman consular and writer named Pliny had written that “nothing is more intense than the green of Emerald” and added that “sight is refreshed and restored by gazing upon the stone.” It said that after hearing this, the Roman Emperor Nero followed the advice and began to wear Emerald sunglasses while watching gladiator matches.

In ancient mythology Emerald was associated with Mercury, who was known to be the messengers of the gods, and of travel. This is where Emerald being referred to as the “Traveler’s Protection Stone” came into play.

Something that people don’t hear about much is the unique aspect of Emerald to sweat or expel water when subjected to heat. This extraordinary phenomenon is interesting to me in terms of its connection to the Heart Chakra, where emotions are like a deep ocean.

Emerald is known as the “stone of successful love” bringing with it loyalty, good fortune, abundance, growth, peace, harmony, patience, love, honesty, integrity, eloquence, enhances psychic abilities (known as a stone of prophecy), stimulates greater mental capacity, strengthens memory, clarity of thought, brings awareness of the unknown to conscious recognition (great for the deep delving and uncovering we are processing through right now), imparts wisdom and reason to discern and understand it all, inspires deep inner knowing, promotes truth (reveals truth or falsity of all things) and discernment, and are supportive in successful business and relating, as well as for the creative arts – magicians have used them in spells and rituals to promote harmonious and fortuitous practices.

As the sacred stone of the Goddess Venus, it enhances and preserves unconditional love, unity, balance, hope and partnerships of all kinds. It also helps focus intention, raise consciousness, and draws in, as well as incites, positive, focused actions that enhance the ability to enjoy life to the fullest. It is well known as an aid to growth, and assists people who are not so well adjusted with this world, to adjust, thrive, and prosper. The green of Emerald is closely tied with the vibes of the natural world and the plants of nature. The strongest time for its powers is said to be Spring. 🙂

Alongside all of this it is most effective, as shared, on the Heart Chakra because it has the ability to access desires held deep within and provides infinite patience, inspiration, healing, and harmonious balance. Emerald promotes physical, emotional and mental equilibrium so that all aspects of life can be unified.

For this reason it is good for lifting depression, helps with insomnia, knowingness of the heart and peaceful dreams.

The pale, clear, green Emeralds (which the one I have is) are connected to all things spiritual and are powerful in meditative work, as well as healing. They say that if you stare at an Emerald and meditate upon it by visualizing the green color washing over every cell in body this can greatly benefit your well being.

Emeralds are not to be worn constantly, but instead to wear or work with when you feel the need. And if worn, magicians say that it is best set in silver or copper.

Physically Emeralds an excellent general healer that enhances the immune system and was used by the ancients as a blood detoxifier and anti-poison. They are good for breathing issues with lungs, heart health, swollen lymph nodes, blood problems, the thymus, the pancreas (balances blood sugar), help detoxify the liver, good for labor and delivery, eyesight, sinuses, strengthens the backbone and spine, muscular, and the etheric field.

The Emerald can be a good bridge between two people, just as it is through the heart that we find our bridging connection to All That Is.

Wishing you each gentle patience, hope, clarity, wisdom, guidance, and strength along the Emerald Heart path of your personal journey.

Every time I work on a bunch of new editing preparations for my website, (which will be up shortly) it is an opportunity for me to mindfully review my life path and service focuses and to make sure that everything is consistent with the integrity of my heart and the messages I want to put out to the collective.

While I was getting things together for my web designer, David Tarin, yesterday, to update from all the shifts and new things evolving, I was immersed in breathing in the meaning behind my choice of company names again (which I see more as an energetic entity conveying a symbolic message), and how it helps to reiterate the journey I resonate with walking.

For anyone who doesn’t know, my company name is Emerald Bridge, which was divinely inspired as a reflection of the Heart Chakra. The Heart Chakra is the source of powerful, creative and unconditional love energy that acts an an energetic “bridge” and balancing integrator between opposites: body and spirit, male and female, persona and shadow, ego and unity, lower and upper chakras. It is symbolized by a lotus of twelve petals and the color green, with emerald as one of its associated gemstones that match its frequency. It is from this place of peaceful centeredness that love emanates as Divine power.

And so Emerald Bridge (a compassionately conscious business) was born as a merging of body and spirit through the heart with visionary healing arts services that would help spread unconditional love across the globe. It’s been my hope to inspire a return to natural harmony within and without and to help cultivate authentic self-expression, bring people together in joyful co-creation, and support a remembrance and embrace of your own Divinity.

When I was visiting Zion National Park in Utah just a few weeks ago, I was mesmerized by the visions I saw that enchanted my heart. We took a trail that led to the “Emerald Pools,” as they are called, and they were just that – a lovely emerald green shade, as was the river that flowed along the banks, which you can see in the image I shared. We had to traverse a bridge over the beautiful green, flowing water and on this approaching-snow-fall-day, everything surrounding us had this stunning green shade to it – from delicate and mystical, to enlivening and vibrant emerald shades. It was so magickal and instantly, as I looked at the view you see captured in the photo, I said, this is such a perfect reflection of the essence of Emerald Bridge to me.

Every moment is an opportunity to live from the heart and by my choosing a company name that reflects this, I have once again created my life as a symbolic expression of what’s most meaningful to me to be mindful of embodying at every step of the journey.

Some quotes to inspire your own heart-embracing:

Go to the truth beyond the mind. Love is the bridge. ~Stephen Levine

The physical heart is our strongest muscle; it also functions as the core of our feeling dimension.  Like any muscle, the heart grows stronger with use.  By creating a feeling connection between our heart and our voice, thought, touch, sight and hearing, we instantly access the safest, most accessible method for opening the heart.  We create this feeling connection by allowing awareness to penetrate the heart.  The moment this connection occurs we contact the love of our Higher Self; we transcend fear, sorrow, and anger; and we heal ourselves and others. ~Dan Millman

The Way is not in the sky.  The way is in the heart. ~Buddha

Culture of the mind must be subservient to the heart. ~Mahatma Gandhi

I stand before what is with an open heart. And with an open heart I dwell in possibility. ~Macrina Wiederkehr

The heart is the place where we live our passions.  It is frail and easily broken, but wonderfully resilient.  There is no point in trying to deceive the heart.  It depends upon our honesty for its survival. ~Leo Buscaglia

To give pleasure to a single heart by a single act is better than a thousand heads bowing in prayer. ~Mahatma Gandhi

There is also a self-contained guru principle that operates within each individual.  In his book Healing Mantras, Thomas Ashley-Farrand writes, “The true guru is not some person to whom you give complete and slavish obedience. The true guru is a principle that resides in your own heart.  …  In Sanskrit, this guru principle is called the upaguru, or “teacher without form.'” So in the ultimate sense you can serve as your own guru, the finder of light and truth in your own heart. ~Donald Altman

If we unfold and develop our potential, we open ourselves up to an incredible higher order of being.  But if we continue to deny the real intelligence manifested through the heart and rely only on our intellect, evolution will fail in its task. ~Joseph Chilton Pearce

The power of love to change bodies is legendary, built into folklore, common sense, and everyday experience.  Love moves the flesh, it pushes matter around … Throughout history, “tender loving care” has uniformly been recognized as a valuable element in healing. ~Larry Dossey

When speech comes from a quiet heart, it has the strength of the orchid, and the fragrance of rock. ~Stephen Mitchell

This is my simple religion.  There is no need for temples; no need for complicated philosophy.  Our own brain, our own heart is our temple; the philosophy is kindness. ~Dalai Lama

Imagine your heart as an opening lotus.  From its center comes a crimson child, Pure, virginal, and innocent.  One meditation gives this instruction: Imagine your heart opening into a red lotus.  From its center comes a crimson child.  Bring this child out of your body and imagine him or her floating above your head. You, as a child, are holding a sun in each hand while each foot stands on a moon.  Hold this image as long as you can. It is hard to bring out this child. When you try, you realize how many defenses you have built around yourself. You also realize how the experiences of adolescence and adulthood have stained you. Sometimes, you may even doubt that you have a pure and innocent self to bring out anymore. But each of us does. Each of us must find that crimson child within us and bring him or her out. For this child represents the time when our energies were whole and our hearts were untroubled by the duplicity of the world and ourselves. ~Deng Ming-Dao

In prayer it is better to have a heart without words than words without a heart. ~Mahatma Gandhi

According to most of the great Eastern spiritual traditions, our inner awareness/energy, or consciousness, is actually a limited, contracted form of the great Awareness/energy that underlies, creates, and sustains all things.  The Upanishads call it Brahman, the Vastness.  The sages of Kashmir Shaivism call it Chiti (Universal Consciousness), Paramashiva (Supreme Auspiciousness), Parama Chaitanya (supreme Consciousness), or Paramatma (supereme Self).  The great Shaivite philospher Abhinavagupta called itHridaya, the Heart.  In Buddhism it is called the Dharmakaya, the “body” of Truth. ~Sally Kempton

The Green Chakra (heart) registers impulses of the higher mind (subjective, abstract) and also higher emotions, such as compassion and sympathy. ~The Power of the Rays by S.G.J. Ouseley

The Shiva Samhita thus describes the benefits which are said to accrue to the yogi from meditation upon the heart center: He gets immeasurable knowledge, knows the past, present and future; has clairaudience, clairvoyance and can walk in the air, whenever he likes. He sees the adepts and the goddesses known as Yoginis … It is not necessary to comment upon the poetic descriptions of the various powers; the student will read between the lines. Still, there may also be something in the literal meaning of such statements as these; for there are many wonders in India – the mysterious powers of the fire-walkers, and the perfectly marvelous hypnotic ability shown by some conjurers who perform the famous rope trick and similar feats. ~Shiva Samhita from The Chakras

This morning, as I stood perched on the edge of the cliff where I often stand to survey the river with hands cupped around pumpkin spice coffee, I felt an overwhelming sense of freedom and joy swirl all around me until it settled in my heart.  I gave thanks for the day – for all blessings received, and proceeded to do my river meditations, holding up in prayer those who most need it at this time. There are so many!   I closed the door to one era in my life – and opened the door to another because I was willing to heed and respond to the message urging me to “dwell in your heart.” This message was not just meant for me – but it is meant for many others as well.   I embraced the sense of stillness that the river was embodying more deeply this morning because I truly listened and responded to the inner prompting to dwell in my heart. It was the key to my own transitus.  May you listen today. May you embody stillness. May you dwell in your heart. ~Olga Rasmussen

The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart. ~Helen Keller

Green is the New Pink – Spreading the Emerald Glow of Love Today and Always

winter to springAnother cycle approaches, as Winter winds down and Spring is soon to sprout through. What does February’s Winter celebration of St. Valentine and March’s explosion of Spring have in common? They both coincidentally share the reverence of “green symbolism” – more notably, the Heart Chakra. How can this be, you ask, as you are so used to those pink and red hearts and roses you see abound on Valentine’s Day?

Well, both carry an air of blossoming new hope and renewal of joyful splendor, where matters of the heart and life are concerned. Pink AND green, both coincidentally are representative of the energy of the Heart Chakra. Although green is the primary color used with it, it can also be effective to use pink stones (such as Rose Quartz) if they resonate for you, to bring in their softness, in working with the Heart Chakra.

Green is a color that represents many things to many people–a melting pot of symbolism. The word green is closely related to the Old English verb growan, meaning “to grow.” Everything blooming, growing…a never-ending, cyclical process. Growth is our natural state and anything less than this, simply is “unnatural.” Speaking of which, the most common association for green seems to be found in its ties to nature, naturally.

Romans used green holly and evergreen as decorations for their winter solstice celebration, Saturnalia, which evolved into a green celebration called Christmas. It is also the traditional color of Islam and was symbolic of resurrection and immortality in Ancient Egypt, where the god Osiris was also depicted as green-skinned. Irish legend states that green clothes attract faeries and aid crops and the “Wearing of the Green” thus symbolizes the birth of springtime. It is known to signify witchcraft for its association with spirits of early English folklores and literatures that also traditionally use it to symbolize nature and its embodied attributes of life, fertility, and rebirth.

In metaphysics, the Seven Rays system of Alice Bailey, which classifies different metaphysical personality types of humans, designates those of the third ray of creative intelligence as being “on the Green Ray,” while psychics who see auras refer to those with a green aura as typically having health/healing related occupations and being nature lovers. To me, green is the earth and it’s gardens and the caring for it. It’s the color that stimulates transformation, harmony, fertility, abundance and prosperity, endurance, stability, and regal presence. It represents safe passage (like the green traffic light), balances emotions, calms, and is also the alchemy of consciousness from one realm to another through the spiraling energies of DNA. The feeling of green is earthy and yet still feels very much like liquid, with a fluidity that is enchanting. Think enchanted forest or Emerald Bay of Lake Tahoe, Nevada.

And yet mostly, for me, green denotes love.

It is in the stories of the medieval period and in Hinduism that we come to learn how green is a true expression of the all-encompassing heart. Medieval stories portrayed it as representing love and the base, natural desires of man, while the Hindu’s use it to symbolically represent the fourth or Heart Chakra. You see, not only is pink indicative of love and the heart, but green is also a very powerful color linked with unconditional love.

In the human energy system, the source of powerful and creative, unconditional love lies at the center of your chest in the Heart Chakra, or “Anahata,” in Sanskrit. This fourth Chakra also lies center of our Chakra energy system and is the most powerful energy, in my opinion, that exists. It acts as a bridge between the upper and lower three Chakras; a bridge between all worlds and illusionary divisions, and a bridge that integrates and balances opposites (body and spirit, male and female, persona and shadow, ego and unity). It is symbolized by a lotus of twelve petals and the color green, with emerald as one of its associated gemstones. It is from this place of peaceful centeredness that love emanates as divine power.

As our Heart Chakra, green has great healing power and protective qualities. It is the one thing we humans can use powerfully when we learn to naturally access it and stay centered in the presence of it’s energy constantly. The Heart Chakra is an impenetrable force of healing that has no boundaries or limitations. It asks that we see, feel, think, and act on a whole other level that is motivated by nothing more than love. When we come from the purity of our hearts and commit to that compassion and acceptance, it implores us to embrace the essence of our being and know the beauty of all of existence, as an extension of ourselves.

The Heart Chakra is the jewel of all Chakras, and its green energy is the emerald beauty of all gems.

Emerald Bridge logoIt was this journey of the heart that became the inspiration behind creating my compassionately conscious business, Emerald Bridge – a merging of body and spirit through the heart with visionary healing arts services. Emerald Bridge was born to reflect and embody this divine and powerful essence of the Heart Chakra and its integrative, healing synergy, helping to spread unconditional love across the globe.

claddagh ringThe Irish also have a beautiful symbol that embodies this Heart Chakra essence – the Claddagh ring. It has a history dating back to over 300 years and is one of history’s most meaningful and respected jewels. The features of the Claddagh ring symbolize some of the best virtues of human life. The heart held in the hands show love and the hands represent friendship and togetherness, the crown on the heart symbolizes loyalty–all virtues that have increasingly been forgotten in today’s materialistic world. No wonder many people remain fascinated by this Irish ring. People wish that some things would never change. And even though change is natural and inevitable, the core foundation of love that has transcended time, is one thing it wouldn’t hurt to hold on to, and could only benefit us more as we deepen and broaden through its evolvement. Our values and how we treat and honor ourselves, others, and everything around us are telling of what we see as our creation, in respect. Another description of the ring expresses how the heart represents the hearts of each and every member of mankind, in addition to the element which gives everlasting music to the Gael. (Remember that springtime song of birds and love ringing in our ears). The ring is also based on and directly correlative to the Shamrock, one of the oldest symbols of the Holy Trinity among the Irish. This interpretation describes the crown as a symbol of the Father, the left hand as the Son, and the right hand as the Holy Spirit, all caring for the heart in the center, symbolizing humanity. Throughout each varying symbolism, a single theme shines through, specifically that the ring symbolizes the trinity of “Love, Loyalty, and Friendship” or, in Gaelic, “Grá, Dílseacht agus Cairdeas” (pronounced ‘graw, dealshocked ogis cordiss’).

“The hands are there for friendship,

The heart is there for love.

For loyalty throughout the year,

The crown is raised above.”

Through that emerald glow of love, we can create and be in that loving energy any moment of the eternity of our lives. And the more we share our green, we can carpet the earth with velvet lawns of unconditional experience. Wearing love and life on our sleeves for always. Let us remember and reflect while we embrace the opportunity to begin anew, by planting tomorrow-seeds, in the now of today.

On this Valentine’s Day I would like to plant the seed of “presence of gratitude and love” daily. As always, these day markers are wonderful times to consciously remind yourself of things you may not be so present with during the day-to-day goings on. Unconditional love and sharing your gratitude in ways that let your loved ones, family, friends, and even people you meet on the street, or connect with in a thought, and see or read about remotely, know that they are cherished, beloved, valuable children of the Universe. And yes, that includes you.

As you connect more deeply with yourself, humanity, and all of creation far and wide you come to experience the true freedom of your core, luminous being.

heart plantsLet your intuition and heart be your guidance and your trust, belief, imagination, passion, and connection, your wings to get there. It is hard to wrap our minds around things because the truth is, it is the heart that has to touch it.

Perhaps we’ll start seeing the giving of green hearts and plants with heart-shaped leaves like the Emerald Ripple, Heart Fern, Heart-Leaf Philodendron, or English Ivy for Valentine’s Day. While flowers are beautiful, plants are “green.”

(Plants can help slow down global warming by a method known as Carbon offset) – LOVE yourself, LOVE each other, LOVE all of life, and LOVE this Earth!

I hope you enjoy these expressions of love to carry with you and through you every mindful moment of your life:

Sacred Throat and Heart Chakra Tattoo Design

I’ve supported the co-creation of a lot of Heart Chakra and some Throat Chakra sacred tattoo designs, but this latest one is one that combines Throat and Heart in one! Yesterday was a very stormy and brrrrr day outside, with huge winds and thunder storms – almost hurricane-like! Wild and fun and an excellent day for channeling some creative inspiration through sacred tattoo design. As I danced within the inner realms this design (pictured above) is what poured through the channels. I was really inspired by the beautiful energy of my client and new friend, finding that the more open and courageously vulnerable each person is in opening up and sharing, the more divinely open the flow between us for creative channeling.

There were a lot of things my client shared of their personal journey that were all important, however for this first tattoo (of perhaps more to come) I was drawn to certain elements that were speaking loudly and felt most powerful for their path in the now.

This piece was created for their upper back area, lying center between the shoulders, with the dream catcher near the lower back of the neck, and design continuing down thymus (higher heart) and flowing down into the heart region. The size is almost 9 inches across by about 10 ½ inches long. (Whenever there is a lot of detail I recommend not going too small.)

As shared, this piece will be empowering for both the Throat and Heart Chakras. My client has a strong spiritual connection with a healer/teacher path, as well an affinity to native spiritual traditions and shamanism, and a connection with Mother Earth, crystals, nature, and the Faeries. There are many symbols present in this design that are subtle, but imbued within it.

We have the encircling wreath of flowers and leaves that crisscross at bottom – integrating, but also represent that connection of Oneness, eternal cycling of energy, etc. and of course the Earth energy in abundant blossom for manifestation and grounding. Then we have the shaman/healer/Mother Earth/Faery Queen representation at center. She wears a gown of leaves, flowers and spirals with a large unfurling leaf at her Solar Plexus Chakra extending in all directions and with a crystal at its center that is revealed. She wears a spiral necklace and spirals in her hair – the cosmic spiral and journey of life. She wears two feathers and leaves also in her hair, as well as a crystal head band that lies on her Third Eye Chakra. Her gown also at top is designed as a heart, which is subtly mirrored also below it – mirroring of a twin soul connection for them and also of an integrated heart both grounded and divinely opened. It is made of feathers, and leaves and with almost firey feather edges to be like that subtle sacred firey heart symbol. She stands centered, grounded and balance, in peaceful grace, courageously and vulnerably opening her heart to the world and revealing her true nature of giving and love – arms wide open to the flow of giving and receiving, palms open to embrace life and offer her love in service. The four directions are represented by flowers and leaves at each, and of course the dream catcher, with one sacred feather hanging from it, above the Crown Chakra of the woman at center, but will lay over the Throat Chakra of client – supporting their truth and authenticity to be communicated and shared with the world from their heart center, which the design connects through. Both hands reach out and are met with fully blossomed flowers, giving and receiving the nurturing abundance of life, as well as from her right hand, a beautiful bird emerges, representing freedom, joy of life both personally and collectively and flying courageously out into the world to spread their gifts to share with others. And rather than literal wings, I have the energy of emanating heart energy shown in the markings of almost lightning-like energy coming from center, but they also can be subtle, energetic symbolism of ethereal wings.

Here is some cool information I found on the symbolism of some of the images conveyed in this sacred tattoo design, you may find interesting.

FEATHERS

Feathers symbolize truth, speed, lightness, flight, ascension – spiritual evolution to a higher plane. Feathers were worn by Native American Chiefs to symbolize their communication with Spirit, and to express their celestial wisdom. Also in the Native American Indian culture, feathers represented the power of the thunder gods, along with the power of air and wind. Native American Pueblo Indians would pay homage to the Feathered Sun which is a symbol of the cosmos and the center of existence. Another symbol meaning of feathers also revolves around prayer, and the Pueblo use feather sticks as they dance in prayer for rain during solstice rituals. As a Celtic Symbol meaning, the feather was worn by Druids in the form of ornate feathered robes. Celtic Druids donned these robes in ceremonies to invoke the sky gods and gain knowledge of the celestial realm. It was believed that the feathered cloak along with the presence of the sky gods would allow the Druid to transcend the earthly plane and enter the ethereal realm. The Egyptians believed that feathers were symbolic of sky gods too. Ma’at, the Egyptian goddess of justice, would weigh the hearts of the newly dead in the underworld against the weight of a feather to determine the worthiness of his or her soul. In Christianity feathers represented virtues. In fact, an image of three feathers were made into signet rings – each feather symbolizing Charity, hope, and faith. These rings were worn as a symbol of a virtuous soul – they were also used as wax seals. The ring would be dipped in warm wax then pressed against documents to seal the closure. The recipient would know the documents came from a virtuous man by the indication of the three-feather symbol in the wax. In dreams feathers mean travel or the ability to move more freely in life.

DREAM CATCHER

The dream catcher can also be a medicine wheel and with specific intention, with all the parts of the dream catcher having meaning.  To begin, the web represent the spider forever repairing the eternal web of life.  Thus weaving your life dreams and energy in the universe when you dream.  The ring represents the earth mother and the humble walk we do upon her. As we believe that we are related to all things and that all things are part of us then the Dream Catcher and medicine wheel is a representation of such sacred belief. The ring and the woven web represent love, honesty and purity.  All of the elements of the dream catcher together represent the earth, fire and water. Things we need to live. It represents the ability to be love and to love, to take the risk and get out of the nest and fly on your own, the ability to live beyond your shadows. The web is from the spider whose web represents the cycles of life – in each time of life there are many forces that can help or can interfere with the harmony of Nature. The web is a perfect circle with a hole in the center, to be used to help yourself and others reach their goals, making good use of their ideas, dreams and visions. If you believe in the Great Spirit, the web will filter your good ideas and the bad ones will be trapped and will not pass. The legend of the Dream Catcher is that it captures the bad Spirits and filters them. Protecting us from evil and letting through only the good dreams.  It is believed that each carefully woven web will catch bad spirit dreams in the web and disappear by perishing with the first light of the morning sun. The good spirit dreams will find their way to the center and float down the sacred feather. Dream Catchers are believed to bless the “sleeping ones” with pleasant dreams, good luck, and harmony throughout their lives. It is how lessons  were remembered and where visions were received. It is said that when you get a good night sleep you can remember when the spirit has talked to you.
