November Energy Update 2018 with Lee Harris: MAGIC, FEMININE ENERGY RISING AND REVIEW TIMES
A little mid-blog series break to share Lee’s November Energy Update with you all because I know how much many of you also resonate with his messages and find them confirming, comforting, enlightening, and inspiring. We’ll back to the end-of-the-week third part of the series tomorrow with Ask Astrid Fridays – The Rabbit’s Corner.
Do you find yourself reviewing, revisiting, and remembering “past” things a lot and quickly these days?
Lee shares that this is happening because we’re engaging the process of changing our patterns and clearing things out so much. November is elevating the energy, which can quickly lift us into a new alignment and flow, but can also create more challenges in the stuck areas of life to bring greater awareness because they don’t serve you anymore.
The giving and receiving balance is high on the radar this month, as well, to even out which end you may have been doing more or had challenge with more. Boundaries around this may be showing up on either end of where you do too much and not enough of the other.
It’s a time of taking in the moment and being present with the gifts we may be overlooking.
Yes, feminine energy is rising and coming more alive in value, which points to speaking your truth with a warming fire of fierce nurturing and courage you haven’t had before. This makes for better communication on the receiving and expressing end.
And yay, magic on a high! And it’s grounded magic now that is manifesting because of the balancing dance we’re engaging.
Here’s Lee to expound on all of these points some more.
The Art of Giving AND Receiving
This is a tough one for many, especially when the giving and receiving is directed toward self, but also when we’ve erected protective boundaries that have us challenged to open our hearts again to others. The art of giving and receiving (our natural state of abundance) is another of the great lessons I have had to learn to balance in my own life, which prompted a blog post a few years ago, which this share is from, but rather than simply reblog it I decided to create a post out of it with the points from then to be in “new energy” all around.
I feel that it can be a challenge for many to balance giving and receiving in a healthy way and especially in terms of opening to receiving and embracing your own value and self-worth that comes along with that. I know that there is a lot of conditioned victim or martyr energy we have learned and this is an essential aspect to look at integrating, as self-denial and self-worth will have a direct result on your ability to tap into your natural abundance innately available to you.
Just like Reiki teaches us, everything in the Universe is energy and naturally, energy just wants to keep flowing and cycling, as is its innate “beingness” to do. It does not judge, attach, or stop and block the flow – we do. We are the ones that block it and this is what creates challenges and dis-ease in our lives.
Giving and receiving are two parts of a whole that coexist, are essential, and create natural balance. When we only focus on one more than the other – never allowing receiving to take place, or never freely giving – we are blocking the flow of energy to cycle through us both ways, and we then create energetic imbalance that manifests as challenges in our lives on any or all levels – physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
As we grow spiritually, this often presents experiences of greater receiving and giving in our lives to embrace. Since both are energetically equal, coming from the same Source, they increase mutually. So it doesn’t make sense that giving increases while receiving decreases, does it? They will both naturally increase together, which means receiving well entails giving well and giving more means we must be open to receiving more – ultimately supporting and embracing what serves the greater good and well being when we do so.
In order to have a fulfilling life, your giving and receiving must be in balance and rhythmic harmony. Balance is essential to every aspect of life and we are constantly in practice of creating what that harmony means for each of us, as there’s no one formula that will work for everyone since we all have different strengths and limits.
Stress can be a result of over-giving (this can also be a result of not having boundaries in place and energy vampires able to suck our energy easily, as we haven’t put in place healthy assertions), which can lead to other effects as a result, including damaging emotions that can build like resentment and anger, and the same can happen if you are receiving in imbalance.
So if you are feeling you are receiving too much, start giving now, and if you are giving too much start finding ways to appreciate what you receive and have. Keep on top of not overburdening yourself with the responsibility of giving, as well as be mindful of creating guilt, or not being grateful, for all of the receiving you’ve been gifted.
Simply recognize where the flow may be blocked and on a one way street, then start making adjustments to balance out the energy with either some random acts of kindness, donations, and offerings, or with more thank you’s and allowing to mirror your new found self worth.
In doing so, you will tap into the limitless and abundant being that you are and this will be reflected in all ways in your life to enjoy.
Filters, Perspectives, Boundaries & Discernment
The title of this post I believe speaks for itself, not to mention I feel these are essential for optimal functioning and well-being, but let’s look briefly at these themes in relation to the scope of the environment within our energetic and literal fields of experience.
We have an overload of stimulation coming at us from every angle and this increases with the rise of technology, which has seen more accelerated change in the last century than any previous time period.
And to add to that, we have collective patterns, dynamics, emotional baggage and turmoil, and conditioning deep within our DNA all swirling around in heightened levels of surfacing awareness or manifested triggers.
To top things off, we’re experiencing a spiritual evolution that brings rise to it all in the midst of the every day hurdles, life basics, and dream weaving we all manage and work at bringing forth.
Phew! That’s a lot!
And if you have your own personal manifestations of challenges on any or all levels – physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually – that you struggle to work through, it’s overwhelming to say the least.
It’s no wonder anxiety, stress, depression, and violence are at all-time highs.
We are thrown every kind of pill, therapy, and more mind chatter and visual eye-candy to cope, suppress, deal with, and overload us with.
But there is little to no teaching of how to redefine our relationship to it all, how to strengthen our abilities to overcome things, and how to harness the capabilities we have, but hardly use or ever tap into.
This post isn’t to address how to correct all of these challenges we experience, as there are many ways, modalities, and supportive channels out there that can help you do that, plus would constitute a VERY long blog. I will, however, share a previous blog post below that touches on boundaries some more for those interested.
What I want to just generally focus on is how important I’ve been seeing the themes of learning how to strengthen our abilities to filter out things, see/feel/experience from more expansive compassionate perspectives, strengthen our boundaries, and exercise personal discernment – just as is the title of this post – truly are.
It can help you to navigate the craziness and this wild world of multi-everything we live in.
While removing ourselves from things can help us to do the inner work and rebalance, and recharge, not to mention help you remain in your own field of reality creating and vibrational resonance, there will come a time when you’ll need to re-enter the world and so having ways to maneuver and process what you experience becomes key.
Besides, we are here to integrate physical and spiritual and bring our gifts into active manifestation. So learning ways to support this process, rather than run to one side or the other, might just be important in that evolution.
As the real proof of the work we’ve done in our private life will show when we do actually get confronted with the external world.
Does that peace translate no matter where you are?
Or does the chaos take over and easily skew you out of balance once again and run your show rather than you being the master of your experiences?
Having tools you can pull from to regain that balance will definitely assist, but also really cultivating your process and trying it out in the world and within your relationships to everyone and everything around you, will help you to become masterful at working alchemy instantly, or at least rather quickly.
It takes time, but step-by-step the process becomes much easier, fluid, rapid, and natural.
And this includes training yourself to embrace ways of experiencing things differently than you’ve been accustomed and conditioned to.
And when you do, you’ll learn that there are gifts within all of the experiences around us that new eyes, stronger sense of self, energetic boundaries, and discernment can assist with.
You begin to naturally gravitate to things that match your stronger and clearer vibration, you filter things naturally and easily without charge, you see the things that are different or used to trigger you as having their own purpose but not bothering you or creating judgments and drains on your energy, you feel more peaceful about things being in divine order that don’t need your ego to define them, you create a strong force field cultivated by your greater creative presence and personal power, and your personal discernment navigates you through and on a much clearer course with lots of hidden gifts along the way to integrate rather than eradicate.
I wrote a couple of comments in reply to a friend on my earlier blog on Bilateral Engaging for Brain Expansion which shared a bit about one way I’ve been cultivating boundaries and more parts of my brain to engage fully, which included these:
“Yes, music/sound is very beneficial to the creative, healing, balancing processes…I can get overstimulated too, and am very sensitive, but I’ve learned to utilize these sensitivities to harness my gifts, rather than take away from them. Kind of like finding your peace within chaos, which comes from within. This process may not be the same for everyone. and there are times I prefer complete silence…I guess my main point of the blog was to say that it’s been like a retraining to experience these otherwise perhaps distracting things to utilize all of me and to actually strengthen parts/gifts, use more of the huge percentage of the brain we don’t, exercise boundaries, which are crucial, support each part’s strengths, and more tangibly access that middle way/void area where the alchemy and magick can take place.”
“I struggled hugely with boundaries all my life, and being a Pisces…that’s a huge challenge as we have absolutely none. It wasn’t until the last 2 or 3 years that I’ve really understood how to manage this and continue to cultivate it in stronger ways…It’s an ever-evolving journey, but has made all the difference. I think many healers/empaths/sensitives struggle with boundaries and it’s become a huge theme at the forefront of our journeys into the next phase of our lives.”
And here’s another blog post I shared on boundaries, if you’re particularly in need or interested in that theme that is clearly surfacing collectively:
Quick & Valuable Tips for Empaths
My sweet friend Dawn of Reiki Dawn shared this on Facebook and I felt it important to not only repost there, but to share with the blog world too, as I know so many of you are empaths like myself.
These are all things I’ve had to learn, very much the hard way, especially being a boundaryless Pisces without distinction between myself and the collective. And I can say that implementing them has made all the difference.
These don’t make you any less service-oriented or compassionate. If anything, you become a more empowered, unconditionally compassionate example and you have that much more to give authentically and intentfully.
Asserting Yourself Equals Greater Balance, Well-Being, Health & Vibrancy
I was tuning in this morning to see what theme was important to support others with and again got that “being true to oneself”, “taking action on the feelings and intuitive guidance you have in support of that truth”, and “boundaries” were speaking out.
I also know that a lot of people have body image challenges and confusion around wellness “idealism” because of a lot of conditioned messages we’re bombarded by (more than you may even realize from all sources around you), which is why I reblogged and added to this older post of mine last week: True or False? I Am Perfect Just As I Am, which only but scratches the surface of some of these things.
(I went on this last weekend to having a really in-depth discussion about even more myths I started cracking that were so freeing when I brought them to light – you’d be surprised at even the seemingly “positive” conditioning that is controlling your life by some other people’s/person’s/collective idea of idealism)
Anyway, these themes all go hand-in-hand and all of them have a common thread of consistent self-assertion being important.
I then decided to go open up a couple of books I have from Shakti Gawain and Louise L. Hay to see what they may want to share on the subject for everyone and what do you know?
They had a couple of things to say on the pages I opened to that went right along with this and that were in line with one another.
So here are just a few words from Shakti and Louise to help you to begin a new dialogue with yourself, open new perspectives, trigger a shift, and inspire you into living a more authentic, healthy, balanced, and empowered life.
From Shakti Gawain:
Assert Yourself Consistently
“The most important key to creating your perfect body is learning to assert yourself consistently in your life. For example, overweight people may have a pattern of doubting themselves, of being afraid to trust their feelings and act on them. We especially need to learn how to say no to others when we don’t want to do something. Overweight people often try to please and take care of others. When our first priority is to please and take care of others, we are denying who we really are and what we really feel. When we are afraid to be true to ourselves, our bodies will always serve us by reflecting those fears, so we can become conscious of them and heal them.”
Take Action
“The key to asserting yourself is to take action on your feeling and intuition. I have seen people begin to lose weight or become physically healthier simply by doing something they’ve been afraid to do, or by expressing some feeling they’ve suppressed. By becoming more assertive, underweight people become more willing to take up space in the world. By continuing to speak and act your truth, you will dissolve blocks and find your proper weight.”
Risk Asserting Yourself
“At first the prospect of asserting yourself moment to moment can be frightening. We are not used to stating what we need and taking the action necessary to give it to ourselves. It takes a conscious effort for us to tune in to how we feel and to risk doing it. But once you start, you’ll want to keep doing it. You will have more energy and look more radiant.”
Balancing weight easily and naturally
“Once overweight people learn true assertion, they are often able to lose weight easily and naturally, without any type of deprivation. The increased energy circulating in their bodies dissolves the blocked energy and the extra weight gradually melts away. They do not need it for strength or protection so they release it effortlessly. By the same process of assertion, underweight people release their fear and are able to take in more life and more nourishment. It becomes safe for them to take up more space. If any particular food plan is needed, they will be intuitively led to an appropriate nutritional consultant and diet.”
From Louise L. Hay:
“We need to do more than just treat the symptom. We need to eliminate the cause of the dis-ease. We need to go within ourselves where the process of illness began.
Listen to your body’s messages.
The body, like everything else in life, is a mirror of your inner thoughts and beliefs. Every cell responds to every single thought you think and every word you speak. (My personal note: And might I add, and EVERYTHING that you FEEL)
Good health is having no fatigue, having a good appetite, going to sleep and awakening easily, having a good memory, having good humor, having precision in thought and action, and being honest, humble, grateful and loving. How healthy are you?
Only accept what is best for you.
Some people don’t know how to say ‘no.’ The only way they know how to say ‘no,’ is to be ill.
If I threw a hot potato at you, what would you do with it? Would you catch it? Would you hold it while it was burning your hand? Why would you even catch it? Why don’t you just step out of the way? It is possible to refuse anything, even a gift. Are you aware of that?”
Full Moon Musings
One of the greatest things I’ve learned is boundaries. ..both energetic and literal. And that’s a hard thing for a boundless Pisces, let alone in general.
But I can’t say enough how good it feels to exercise them and know that I can move in and out of having them or not by my choice. ..a choice I say yes to myself with each time I put them into action.
And knowing that I act with responsible compassion to others, as well, when doing so.
The Full Moon is huge and golden tonight and this is one of the reflections that feels of value right now to express in the illumination of her energy.
I sit here cradling my bunnies on the drive to the mountains, grateful for the choices I make as I watch the rabbit in the golden Moon rise and cast her wisdom upon all of us.
Right now she’s gone behind a dark curtain of clouds so that only a slit of golden and rays shows through, as if she were the Sun on a stormy day.
The illusions of life are for us to say yes or no to.

Seasons of the Soul ~ Take a Hope Holiday!!

Faery Forest Magick – from the park I returned to this weekend to explore more – the setting for a recent photo shoot
I just put out my July newsletter yesterday, a bit earlier than usual, as I’m going to be away the beginning of July and wanted to ensure time to get a message out.
Sometimes I’ll share the message here as well if guided to.
This is one of those times and so here is what I shared as July’s Summer reflection, which includes the inspiration that came through, as well as some insights on the energy of tomorrow’s 1st of the month, Full Moon in Capricorn.
“Live each season as it passes; breathe the air, drink the drink, taste the fruit, and resign yourself to the influences of each.” ~Henry David Thoreau
Changes in light and seasons can affect your mood, energy level, health, sleep, and general behavior. For some people this can be gentle and easy, as they merge with or transcend the seasons, while others experience some or all-consuming affects.
If you haven’t paid attention to your patterns with this, perhaps you might do so, as you may discover there’s a rhythm to the madness you’ve been experiencing.
Knowing your process is key to shifting it.
That said, it’s not just the seasons that we reflect, but we also go through seasons of the soul, which will be different for each, as well as at times collectively experienced.
Alongside things like solar flares and all that is shifting planetarily, having an effect on the evolution of our DNA, we also go through periods of ups and downs, needing to be more inward or outward…all in reflection to the journey we are on and what we are either consciously engaging or subconsciously avoiding, repressing, or denying.
Energy wants to flow and move. And as a result, it will take us on an adventure with many twists and turns, roadblocks and speedways, downpours and easy breeziness.
Yet, as we know, there are ways to embrace it with the example of grace that Nature provides us. And so we, too, can flow more easily and efficiently in our lives without depleting and wasting energy resisting, fighting, blocking, and whining.
So while we have ventured into Summer with the Solstice we just celebrated, the light may feel bright, joyous, and promising for many, with hope easier to harness.
This is a time where Spirits may feel more on high and many take vacations, holidays, and breaks before they settle into Fall and Winter.
But wouldn’t it be nice to bring that light and hope with you all year round?
When things get “dark” why is it that we forget all of the experiences where the light shined again in our lives, or how good it felt when we gave ourselves the nurtured opportunity to have fun, explore, be creative, take a break, and recharge?
“Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all of the darkness.” ~Desmond Tutu
I propose we each commit to taking a “Hope Holiday” on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, as seems most beneficial to your life and personal experiences.
What does that mean?
It means allowing yourself to hope and dream, creatively engaging your imagination and bringing the music of your heart into your every day, even if just for a couple of minutes of day-dreaming, journaling, or visualizing. Doing this to the extent that you give yourself permission to immerse so fully into that minute or two that your body tingles and sings from your heart with that “becoming” that takes place, as you get lost in your hopes.
This isn’t to deny that you may be experiencing something very dark and restrictive feeling, as that is a valid feeling to allow yourself to explore. But it is a way to actively engage yourself into learning how to make a safe space for your heart’s desires to see the light.
The more you do this, the more that part of you feels supported and begins to expand with your cultivated love, much like a garden.
Your couple of committed minutes of daily “Hope Holiday” journeying may turn into any opportunity in the day you find yourself worrying and going over your usual mental chatter religiously. You’ll soon discover how much more productive you are because your energy is being engaged in a way that can create more of the things you want. And this starts a ripple effect into manifestation.
Small seeds of hope become blossoms of creation.
“Hope is a waking dream.” ~Aristotle
Hope is a place all to yourself that no one can take away from you. It’s like a self-induced “holiday” you can take at any time, and go anywhere you’d like with it….it’s only limited by your imagination.
It is where you are free to dream and activate your creative potential as a powerful multi-dimensional, creative being.
There are unlimited possibilities because you are an extension of a limitless Source gifted with evolutionary experiences at your will’s choice.

I’ve always loved this scene from Shawshank Redemption. There are many cool parts and lines in this movie, but this is my favorite. I’m such a water faucet when it comes to stuff like this, as while I was searching for this clip and watching it, I just kept crying with expanded excitement of possibilities, like a baby. 🙂
If you don’t know this movie, you may enjoy it. These were the best clips I could find. I only added the second one because the first cut off the full end, which I felt was important to see through fully.
“Get busy living or get busy dying.”
Enjoy and remember to hope.
I’m putting out July’s newsletter on the early end because I am going to be away the beginning of July. The last few newsletters are also longer since I’ll not be sending out any during my 3 month sabbatical.
I’ll be away July 1st – July 5th in the mountains and again July 9th – July 12th for what’s turned into a very special weekend with Hillary and the Horses in BC. So I’ll be unavailable for work during that time, although still online for emails.
Fourth of July around here is kind of crazy since our city allows fireworks. While others enjoy that, we prefer the quiet and having our animal companions feeling safe and calm. So we’re heading to the mountains of Big Bear for some peace, which is an easy trip with the animals.
I don’t plan these things, but July 1st happens to be a Full Moon and so once again I’ll be taking in that energy on the onset of this intentful recharge.
7/1’s Full Moon is in Capricorn, which I love. It’s also cool it falls on the 1st of the month. The Cancer Sun/Capricorn Moon is a powerful energy to work with and can be quite challenging for many. Cancer triggers the emotions and so one needs to be aware of this pulling that can potentially be harmful since it comes from the subconscious and from old attachments. The key is to channel that emotional energy and watery passion into being a creative force in your life with Capricorn wisely guiding it.
Full Moons provide the ability to have clarity, bring to the surface, and make aware things that are being shown to you through your experiences. This moon will illuminate your inner knowing and ancient wisdom, but provide support in solidifying and rooting with your feelings. Great time for focused energy, perseverance, and successful outcomes that come with doing the groundwork.
The other thing I find interesting from what I’ve been reading, because it has been a huge key theme for me, is there’s an emphasis on personal boundaries right now that empower you toward the things you want and have been working on. I’ve been getting that message loud and clear that it’s about saying “no” when you really mean to, and not letting guilt or any other driving force outside of your truth guide your decisions. You are being most responsibly compassionate in being authentic and saying “yes” to you. This is a mirror for others to do the same, not to enable otherse, and for energy not to be wasted.
So, do look at the places you spend your energy and time and whether it is really the most efficient use of it. Ask if it is feeding you in return or just going out one way. If you aren’t achieving your goals then you may want to change your process in a way that actually supports them, or redefine them altogether, as perhaps you’re out of alignment.
Everything not aligned with you will need to be released in order to align yourself with what you are creating, but do so with reverence and gratitude for the role it has played in your evolution.
Are you where you want to be?
Stay focused, get back on track, and firmly ground yourself in for the challenge with trust and wise discernment – much like the mountain goats that defy gravity, as they climb sure-footedly.
Next month will be my last newsletter before I take off on sabbatical beginning September 1st. In it I’ll share more about this time for me and what has inspired it, as perhaps you may find your own soul journey reflected.
I leave you with this:
Remember to always ask if what you have around and within you, what is feeding your day, what messages you hear, read, and see, and the source, channels, and people they come through, are really helping or hurting you.
If they aren’t nurturing and nourishing, then release them from your experience, understanding their place in the bigger picture, but not in your reality you want to create.
And that doesn’t just mean the things and individuals that seem obviously out of alignment, or completely not what you’re about. That goes for the ones that are in your field of interest, that look the part, but don’t feel, or consistently act the part.
Question even the spiritual new agers and all of the messages we are bombarded with from the very accessible channels we have these days.
I shared this recently with a dear friend:
“I can’t tell you how much aversion I am also experiencing to a lot of the ‘spiritual new age group,’ yet understanding it’s all part of the bigger picture…just not MY picture and reality anymore. It’s about creating your OWN healing elixir even if that completely rocks the boats of everything you once knew or at one time felt aligned with. It’s time to create new paths and forge ahead into the unknown, but personally aligned, creative adventure!”
Here’s to YOUR creative adventure!
Bonding, Balance & Boundaries at Rainbow Cabin, Big Bear
It was a lovely long weekend away, filled with lots of blessings (both obvious and in disguise) all around. I enjoyed being unplugged and immersing in the mountain peace.
There was little snow, but the Big Bear resorts make their own, so the conditions for skiing were still pretty good and actually quite nice being so warm – like springtime – while still getting to enjoy gliding down the mountain and taking in the sights from above.
Having the weather as such provided the ability to do a lot of hiking alongside some skiing, and catch a little sun-kissed glow while warming by fires at night – the best of both worlds!
I had to smile at the magickal energy around, as the cabin where we stayed was named Rainbow Cabin and it resided on Rainbow Ave.
I also caught something from the Elemental Realm in a photo where it appears as a burst of faery dusted lights emanating green sparkles, below the sun burst through the trees.
AND, there was a street named Fairy Ave. that was right where you turn before arriving at a favorite, enchanting hike through the mountain forests with stunning views.
I giggled saying, “wouldn’t it be cool to live at the corner of Rainbow and Fairy Ave.” I think I’ll have to work on manifesting that for the next place of residence 😉
But needless to say, I could feel the magick in the air right away and that was also enhanced with Valentine’s Day love that proved to be quite the special day to remember! More on that below.
I had decided that while away, this would be the perfect time to work on bonding Joy and Cosmo, my two bunnies. Neutral zones are the best for this, and so that’s what we did. Each day we shared one to two 20 minutes sessions of bonding.
And I have to say, I am SO pleased at what took place.
There was no crazy, aggressive, or ferocious behaviors. I was mostly concerned about how Joy would be, but she had proven to be past her fears, and now was just working at creating healthy boundaries.
Joy is a sensitive one and has challenges with certain male energies. This has created a fear in her that can really throw her off if she doesn’t have tools to regain balance. We’ve worked on this in the past and she has gotten through things much quicker because of the support.
Something to understand about Joy is that she is quite a powerful presence (a strong Female integrating her Sacred Male (Cosmo) and has very BIG energy, even though she is in this tiny little, peaceful bubble of fur. Yet, she can get unbalanced very easily when stressed. That’s not unfamiliar territory to mom, so it’s no wonder she is in my life and that we are able to understand and help one another.
Cosmo on the other hand is a very different male energy. He is definitely in touch with his Sacred Feminine (Joy) and simply wants to give love and has no problem supporting Joy’s needs to create boundaries and exercise her control in doing so. In fact, he will become submissive to do so.
So when they were brought together for the first time, there was like a dance of energetic communication going on where Joy was laying the ground rules and Cosmo was listening and supporting them, learning to dial back his joyful exuberance.
I was there caressing both of them during all of it, as this helps keep the calm and also helps demonstrate to them that this is the behavior to be mimicking – that of nuzzling, grooming, and being gentle with one another.
I could tell that they both were in fact calm…no hyper breathing or crazy heart beats amping up. Joy did not exhibit fear. I allowed her to come and go as she pleased, which she did. She would act coy at first and pretend to occupy herself with something while she was assessing her moves and preparing herself for each encounter.
Then she would approach Cosmo and they would have long silent moments of nose-to-nose time, or sitting very close to each other, where a lot was being communicated even though it seemed nothing was – a testing ground in exercising boundaries and mutual respect.
And then Joy did her first dominating move to show who was in charge.
She started to hump Cosmo, but rather than from behind, she did it to his face/head. LOL! Humping is a normal behavior they can exhibit when introduced, as a way to show dominance, and as long as there is no fights, crazy biting, etc….this is okay. She did none of that, but I had to laugh so hard, and continued to do so long after, as it was so obvious Joy was literally “taking the bull by the horns” and laying it straight to Cosmo. She wanted him to know she was okay with him, but she would like to be in charge and that boundaries were needed to make her feel comfortable to then take the rest a day at a time.
And Cosmo did not fight this one bit. He laid there peacefully and submissively accepted the rules, as his only desire is to show his love for her. He seemed to understand her process and what she needed to work through and was happy to assist, as long as things didn’t get out of hand.
And after that things continued to unfold beautifully. She would come over to him and they’d smell each other, touch noses, lay by each other…and when she felt energetically she’d had enough, she then moved away until she could handle some more time connecting.
She was definitely checking in with herself and feeling out what she was comfortable with.
At times she would turn her back to him, but allow him to lay right by her with his head and nose touching her side and sniffing her.
And on Valentine’s Day, they shared a very long, peaceful nose-to-nose connection, which is what you see in this photo below.
I was very happy to say the least, with a heart bursting with warmth.
Yet to add to this happiness was another amazing thing that took place during this weekend by Cosmo. On one of the days, after I did his leg extension therapy exercises, he sat himself up all on his own and he moved around like a normal little bunny, upright and fully balanced and strong for a good 10 minutes!
This was incredible! Normally he can do it for brief moments, or I help support one side for him, as it’s mostly to help strengthen his legs and muscles. But he was up and about and moving around as if he had no injury.
It brought such joyful tears. He hasn’t done it since, but if he did it once, he WILL do it again!
There was much to celebrate indeed from the weekend.
And while away I had my own processes I was going through. In many ways I feel, just like our animal soul companions take on things for us to ease our struggles and pains, as well as to teach us about how we can move through our challenges, I, too, was going through similar mirroring experiences.
I found myself working again with my own boundaries and stress triggers…something I knew nothing about for the greater portion of my life, being so ultra no-boundaryish both as a Pisces and as a super-sensitive. But it has become incredibly important to me in my latter years and something I have to continually be on top of energetically so as to create my own balance, just like Joy.
I was very proud of Joy, and yet I also would like to assist her in balancing her energy. I know I can do this by example, as this is more powerful than merely telling her how.
There is such a thing as going from one extreme to another, so once she/we understand where our comfort zone of personal well being and accountable responsibility truly lies, then we can learn to tweak things and dial back or increase boundary exercising so that we also allow for the giving and receiving in a natural and loving flow to take place.
So, I do share with Joy how proud I am that she is exercising boundaries without ferocious aggression, I also point out how Cosmo is listening and only wants to love her, and that he has disabilities where her loving, very powerful healing energy could be supportive to him. So, she will need to find a balance that feels comfortable where she can both give and receive, while honoring her needs.
Something mom has had come up a lot, and this weekend when I unplugged, it allowed me the space to have stresses make themselves known that had been weighing on me. And it showed me what I don’t want, won’t entertain, and am not okay with, and what I do want very clearly, but first I had to go through a day of feeling that bubble to the surface, causing me to wake in the middle of the night with anxiety.
The next evening I then pulled a muscle in my lower back literally by doing nothing weird physically other than get up from squatting down, after I had made some notes in my notebook.
I knew immediately this was a manifestation of the energy I had unleashed and was working through, not to mention, it also felt partially tied to Cosmo. I always look at the underlying root of the challenge that the physical is simply a trigger and manifested message of.
The pulled muscle was literally debilitating and I was wiggling around just like my little wiggle worm Cosmo when I would lay down, as I literally couldn’t sit, lay down, or move much more than walking straight, let alone sneeze, blow my nose, or laugh without being aware of the pain. It just so happens that it was on my right side, just like his injury and I didn’t think that was coincidence either. Not to mention, the right has direct connection to the male energy I, just like Joy, am working with.
For me that is about how I’ve been working with and integrating the new male energy in my daily life experiences of how I go about things and exercise healthy assertion, boundaries, and active energy. It is this key that I’m at threshold with in my own life changes that is going to make a huge difference.
I’d never experienced this before, although have heard of people always saying how they bent over and did this or that and suddenly pulled a muscle. However, I don’t look at these things as accidents, but rather, see them for what they really are.
So, I was actually very grateful for it happening, as it meant I was moving through this stuff I’d been digging deep into with my own work, so that I could be done with it. Having the physical manifestation show up is a good thing in my book. As if it just stays in the mental arena, it isn’t going to really do the healing and transmutation needed to move beyond it fully. So, I celebrated the pain and thanked it for showing up. Up and out, as I like to say!
And it also really felt like Cosmo and I were becoming One through this experience as well. And so it took my relationship to my own challenge and myself, as well as my relationship with Cosmo, to a whole other level.
It also gave me more time to relax and allow others to do things for me. I could still walk and gently hike, which was much easier than sitting or laying down (not to mention nurturing to be out in fresh nature), as long as it wasn’t a straining walk. And I got time in the jacuzzi, took a couple baths, as well as enjoyed a massage on my way back home – all really nurturing.
Then yesterday, I took Cosmo to his first acupuncture appointment. He did so amazing while the doctor put needles throughout his spine, legs, and even on his crown chakra and then hooked him up to the electrodes.
I stood there for the nearly 2 hours (which was a little challenging) rubbing his little head and cheeks, as he went into zen mode. I was so touched when I had to take a break to use the restroom and upon return the doctor said, “Cosmo really loves and knows his mom, as when you left he turned his head and looked after you as if to say ‘where are you going?’ and when he heard your voice in the hall, even though there were other voices, his ears perked up and he became alert even through his zen mode.”
That warmed my heart.
And after I got home from the appointment, my back was feeling 90% healed (after basically being fully handicapped myself). Instantly. Like that! We really are SO connected.
I was then greeted by a dear friend visiting from out of town and although I had a busy schedule, I released it all to spend time to have lunch and walk on the beach with her, as I knew that was the best thing for me rather than worrying about how to get things done before I leave Friday.
I was so grateful to receive a surprise birthday gift from her, and another in the mail from my sweet faery sister. I also received three really supportive and abundant manifestations directly after, which all felt to be direct blessings for my willingness to embrace the change.
I continue to take it easy, and doing only that which I feel within my comfort zone to do, just like Joy, and am happy to share I am still feeling at 90%, which is awesome and amazing, as to how quickly I reversed things.
The last 10% is up to me, as to whether I quickly move through it and get back to balance fully. Or, if I were NOT to heed the message and NOT to apply what I know, hence could easily revert back to full debilitation again just as quickly.
It’s all a choice. And at any moment we can shift any experience we have through our conscious awareness and application thereof.
The journey is up to us as to which way we want to go, how easy or challenging it will be, and how much peace we allow and embrace, regardless of what shows up.
Being that I know the connection between all things, my personal work can be a reflection and energetic opening for both Joy and Cosmo, as theirs is for me. And it is also this reason I share with you, as we are all energetically linked.
Diversity, Up Close ~ October 2013 Energy Forecast With Lee Harris
There’s a new heightened speed being experienced for what you can move through these days, and with that comes the necessity to really learn how to be able to rebalance, center, and renew yourself just as quickly, as well as to release the energy of others and what is not “yours”.
Lee’s October Forecast shares about this and provides insight on ways to empower yourself and create those healthy boundaries, while also being mindful of taking up more of your own space and showing up in life in bigger ways than you ever have given yourself permission to do.
He also touches on the “chaos” that we continue to experience while things transition and how if you really keep mindful of and committed to doing your internal work, while staying centered, that you’ll find increasingly amazing opportunities abound and at all new levels.
Which leads to October providing an “energy lift” that will really expand things in all areas, then shift again in November.
Like with anything, there are cycles and so you learn to ride the waves and discover how to manage your energy. So if you have been feeling contracted and challenged recently, you will have the ability to shift this experience this month. And, for others doing well, things are going to just continue to be enriching.
Lee expounds again on “Boundaries” which is an important and much misunderstood topic. So you’ll find it helpful to listen and have this information reiterated for you, as with anything repetition does help to actualize something.
He also shares something I teach, which is learning how you can hold your space of wholeness, love, compassion, and strength in any chaotic situation and this will be the magickal alchemy to shift things for them and yourself. He also shares that if this is something you’re not able to do, then don’t forget to do the work of renewing, releasing and reclaiming energy, or you will take on some of theirs.
And lastly, Lee shares about how more and more heart-opening is taking place in relative ways, which creates softer experiences for us all. Yet always remember that everyone is moving quickly with their changes and with this, we each are affected differently. So take this into account and view and feel it all through your heart.
Always take responsible accountability as well, for how you are showing up and realize that you are also going through your shifts, which plays a part in things as well.
Be willing to be here as much as you can. It’s time to show up, as you only have this moment. Everything beyond this moment is not guaranteed.
