Filters, Perspectives, Boundaries & Discernment
The title of this post I believe speaks for itself, not to mention I feel these are essential for optimal functioning and well-being, but let’s look briefly at these themes in relation to the scope of the environment within our energetic and literal fields of experience.
We have an overload of stimulation coming at us from every angle and this increases with the rise of technology, which has seen more accelerated change in the last century than any previous time period.
And to add to that, we have collective patterns, dynamics, emotional baggage and turmoil, and conditioning deep within our DNA all swirling around in heightened levels of surfacing awareness or manifested triggers.
To top things off, we’re experiencing a spiritual evolution that brings rise to it all in the midst of the every day hurdles, life basics, and dream weaving we all manage and work at bringing forth.
Phew! That’s a lot!
And if you have your own personal manifestations of challenges on any or all levels – physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually – that you struggle to work through, it’s overwhelming to say the least.
It’s no wonder anxiety, stress, depression, and violence are at all-time highs.
We are thrown every kind of pill, therapy, and more mind chatter and visual eye-candy to cope, suppress, deal with, and overload us with.
But there is little to no teaching of how to redefine our relationship to it all, how to strengthen our abilities to overcome things, and how to harness the capabilities we have, but hardly use or ever tap into.
This post isn’t to address how to correct all of these challenges we experience, as there are many ways, modalities, and supportive channels out there that can help you do that, plus would constitute a VERY long blog. I will, however, share a previous blog post below that touches on boundaries some more for those interested.
What I want to just generally focus on is how important I’ve been seeing the themes of learning how to strengthen our abilities to filter out things, see/feel/experience from more expansive compassionate perspectives, strengthen our boundaries, and exercise personal discernment – just as is the title of this post – truly are.
It can help you to navigate the craziness and this wild world of multi-everything we live in.
While removing ourselves from things can help us to do the inner work and rebalance, and recharge, not to mention help you remain in your own field of reality creating and vibrational resonance, there will come a time when you’ll need to re-enter the world and so having ways to maneuver and process what you experience becomes key.
Besides, we are here to integrate physical and spiritual and bring our gifts into active manifestation. So learning ways to support this process, rather than run to one side or the other, might just be important in that evolution.
As the real proof of the work we’ve done in our private life will show when we do actually get confronted with the external world.
Does that peace translate no matter where you are?
Or does the chaos take over and easily skew you out of balance once again and run your show rather than you being the master of your experiences?
Having tools you can pull from to regain that balance will definitely assist, but also really cultivating your process and trying it out in the world and within your relationships to everyone and everything around you, will help you to become masterful at working alchemy instantly, or at least rather quickly.
It takes time, but step-by-step the process becomes much easier, fluid, rapid, and natural.
And this includes training yourself to embrace ways of experiencing things differently than you’ve been accustomed and conditioned to.
And when you do, you’ll learn that there are gifts within all of the experiences around us that new eyes, stronger sense of self, energetic boundaries, and discernment can assist with.
You begin to naturally gravitate to things that match your stronger and clearer vibration, you filter things naturally and easily without charge, you see the things that are different or used to trigger you as having their own purpose but not bothering you or creating judgments and drains on your energy, you feel more peaceful about things being in divine order that don’t need your ego to define them, you create a strong force field cultivated by your greater creative presence and personal power, and your personal discernment navigates you through and on a much clearer course with lots of hidden gifts along the way to integrate rather than eradicate.
I wrote a couple of comments in reply to a friend on my earlier blog on Bilateral Engaging for Brain Expansion which shared a bit about one way I’ve been cultivating boundaries and more parts of my brain to engage fully, which included these:
“Yes, music/sound is very beneficial to the creative, healing, balancing processes…I can get overstimulated too, and am very sensitive, but I’ve learned to utilize these sensitivities to harness my gifts, rather than take away from them. Kind of like finding your peace within chaos, which comes from within. This process may not be the same for everyone. and there are times I prefer complete silence…I guess my main point of the blog was to say that it’s been like a retraining to experience these otherwise perhaps distracting things to utilize all of me and to actually strengthen parts/gifts, use more of the huge percentage of the brain we don’t, exercise boundaries, which are crucial, support each part’s strengths, and more tangibly access that middle way/void area where the alchemy and magick can take place.”
“I struggled hugely with boundaries all my life, and being a Pisces…that’s a huge challenge as we have absolutely none. It wasn’t until the last 2 or 3 years that I’ve really understood how to manage this and continue to cultivate it in stronger ways…It’s an ever-evolving journey, but has made all the difference. I think many healers/empaths/sensitives struggle with boundaries and it’s become a huge theme at the forefront of our journeys into the next phase of our lives.”

A Message from Blue Jay
Rest, city errands, cleaning out my closet, finalizing things, and cleansing rains upon completion of it all were the themes of the day and a half stop over in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan. We had a completely private little haven camp site surrounded by trees and lawn making it a perfect sanctuary for all of this, but it was Blue Jay who was the highlight. Since we didn’t venture out except for errands and a late linner upon arrival, his coming to me was definitely noted for a message of presence, wise and balanced use of personal power, resourceful adaptability for ease,.creative self expression and assertion, and bringing higher thoughts into action.
He sat in the tree next to my window, moving from branch to branch incessantly talking away to get my attention and peering into the window. His voice shifted into varying degrees of communication, but he was definitely on a mission and the message was coming from a deep, powerful place within him, despite his size. He was confident and assertive, but also soft and majestic.
His beautiful blue immediately connects me to the power of the throat chakra and its symbolism of creative self expression, sound and song, and having something to communicate that is unique to my voice. He seems to be saying “get to it!” with his loud expressions that went on for about 10 minutes, as he leaned forward toward the window.
Of course synchronously I’ve been aching to get back to my focuses that indeed utilize my gift of creative expression and communicating through my individual works in process. Where I had reservation on clarity of the messages and my ability to communicate them before, there is no need now and I have felt a readiness and timeliness.
Blue Jay comes to share it is time to embrace, develop, and apply your gifts to their fullest. You cannot afford to neglect them. And when bringing higher thoughts into action, unlimited potentials await you.
There’s no need to seek or call attention to anything, only a need to respond to what’s before you and to the world.
Blue Jay reminds us to sink into the comfort of ourselves where ever we are. To assert our personal truth and authenticity, and to communicate what feels to express that in any given moment.
This bringing to mind personal boundaries and undoing any repressive tendencies we have.
Blue Jay seems to own her/his space and knows how to focus and call the shots in her/his life of when, where, how, and with whom and what to use their energy.
They bring a message of embracing life to the fullest no matter where you are and engaging in that which you love at all times.
They shine a light of brightness to any situation and can see you through the darkness as well, bringing to light the shadow in which you can utilize to create greater potency with the gifts you bring forth.
Blue Jay embodies a presence of knowing her/his gifts, but knowing is not enough. They know the importance of cultivating them and bringing them forth with wise use of discernment.
Their appearance seems to call you forth into this realization and knowing that the time is here where all that you’ve learned so far is ready for the next evolution of expression with great clarity and vibrancy.
I did some researching into Blue Jay and found that the word “jay” come from the Latin word “Gaea” meaning Mother Earth. And since they are aviary brothers and sisters, with a crest that reaches into the heavens, they directly link us with both Earth and Universal/Cosmic energies, bridging them for integration and active expression of divinity brought into embodiment.
I also found that in Native symbolism their gorgeous blue that mirrors the sky is said to indicate a double vision or double clarity that symbolizes their/your ability to express the purity and truth of your heart and soul and to have great clarity of thought when bringing that forth to share with others.
I loved that my beautiful Blue Jay friend appeared at this time and that he spent time preening himself and exposing his soft under feathers inbetween his communicating with me.
To me this spoke to knowing one’s self worth, that what you have to share is of value, that self nurturing is important, and the tenderness of this act toward self is a reminder that the way we bring forth our personal power can have a soft, gentle essence at the core of the clarified, strength of expression.
Shifting Roles Supporting You Into Your Empowerment ~ Reminders on Services I No Longer Offer & Why
After I posted this on Facebook this morning, it continued a dialogue and reiteration of things that I felt called to share and expound upon here.
I’ll reshare what I wrote there first, and then add what feels important to impart in addition.
Here is my original post:
I am so touched by all of the messages I receive of interest in wanting to work with me on sacred tattoo designs, however I am not taking on new clients and feel I should reiterate this, as I continue receiving a lot of requests.
I’ve also had several people message me with long shares about themselves and wanting me to at least help with the idea and how to come up with the design, asking me to tell them how to do that.
I hope that others can understand and honor that that is a huge part of the work that I did with this, which involves a big investment of time and energy on my part and is actually half of the process when I am working with someone.
That process involves people writing me about themselves and the essence of what they want to see in the design and I take the time to review all that they share, tune in, channel the energy, vision, images, inspiration and guidance and then begin the designing.
But the first leg of the journey is as much work as the designing, if not more crucial and energetically involved.
The interesting thing I find is that these people are so intuitive and within their messages are the answers.
My desire is that people come to trust their intuition and feel the empowerment of that process.
I know you can tap into the vision and then take the time to find the right tattoo artist that understands you and can take your vision and bring it to life.
The more you embody and trust the energy you are feeling, the more easily you’ll align with the perfect tattoo artist.
Just have patience and believe in yourself.
Part of why I think I’ve been guided right now to move away from this, besides supporting the energy I know I need to follow, is to empower others in trusting and empowering themselves.
It’s the same reason why I’ve moved away from other things as well and why the things I AM focused on are very deliberate in supporting just that.
This is one of my the biggest focuses of everything I do and am moved to do involves – to help others see that they have what they seek within them.
I believe in you.
After I posted this, a dialogue continued and while I didn’t share the extent of what this all meant in my post, my dear friend Dawn picked up on it and what we exchanged felt important to add here in a bit more detail.
Dawn mentioned how Lee Harris has announced his stopping his monthly energy forecasts and will now only share short updates as he’s moved to. She noted a recurring theme around trusting ourselves and listening, with hopes people will invest the energy and time into that for themselves.
I chimed in with agreement and that I’d seen about Lee Harris’ announcement, finding it synchronous to how I’ve shifted things and feel moved to only share as I’m inspired and guided to and to only focus on what is most resonant to my heart and essence, knowing that is collectively connected to what is also most needed at this time.
Another friend, Jayn, also chimed in with reiterating messages without seeing our comment thread and made a point that we resonate with those that are growing with us.
I have felt myself for some time now feeling very pulled into new directions and ways of sharing my individual gifts, and that has been a process to work through the feelings of responsibility and what that TRULY means, while aligning with the right timing on this that felt most supportive to my own and the collective’s process.
This has been why, little by little, I’ve moved away from things and released things that I once offered because it no longer aligned with what I felt the path now for me and my role was/is.
We all have different parts to play and we are all on different legs of the journey…none better or worse than anyone else’s part…but all integral and necessary.
Yet, my part has shown me I will often be forging new energetic territory where the guidance will only come from within and often may not always be understood, or embraced by only a few.
And that is perfectly alright for me, as I am clear on who I am now.
So, in order to align with who I am, and what best I have to offer the collective by embodying that more fully every day, I have had to make boundaries, take stands, support what I feel, and ground the new.
This has led to certain services being released for now, or for good, and new ones developing, as well as fine-tuning what remains to really focus on the energy signature I’m supporting from my piece of the collective tapestry.
This has included sharing videos that channel what is coming through me in inspiration at the moment and feel important to impart, or writing a blog about a current experience, reflection, and learning that is time relevant, or rather than certain kinds of ongoing support, creating very specific types of support for specific types of souls that will feel called to them to make those empowered leaps in their lives.
It has also included focusing on new channels of creativity and inspiration.
All this created and shared, rather than offering things people rely on – much like how Lee Harris is not doing his “scheduled monthly energy forecast” but touch-ins instead.
I feel like everyone is shifting their roles right now and some things we used to do will be taken over by others moving into that leg of their journey, while we move into another, and those that were in our new roles can now be released to move into a new one too.
I know for myself, I don’t want to enable people, but to empower them and I’m very clear on how that looks, as to my role shifting.
I feel that there is definitely a huge shift taking place that asks us all to step up into our power. And this is not going to be done in the way it used to where you may have more leeway, but rather will really engage and trigger you in the ways that light a fire under your feet in order for you to choose where you want to step next with greater personal power that knows how to utilize that fire alchemically rather than being burned by it.
I love you more than you may know and everything I’m guided to do is from that unconditional and cosmic love that only sees your wholeness and will meet you there.
A Message From Neptune ~ God of the Sea
Last night I had an interesting dream of meeting Neptune – God of the Sea.
Not surprising, since I’ve been so immersed in the depths of water energy recently with all of our oceanside RV sites we’ve been stationed at, along with the abundance of rain and sea life to accompany it.
Seemed this was foreshadowed also when the RV next to us pulled out while in Avila Beach and I caught its name in the side window – Neptune.
The dream took place after I’d woken in the night, hearing a downpour of rain outside and sea lions barking in the marina.
In my dream I was staying at a very large, sprawling hotel by the ocean. I originally was in one room, but for some reason they wanted me to move rooms and they provided me two new keys.
I ventured off feeling led to try the key to room #287 – an 8 in numerology, which is a power number of balancing the material and immaterial (spiritual) worlds – first.
It had a long gated entrance with plants and looked different from the other rooms – separate and like its own dwelling. It was free standing and had very tall, dark wood walls, seemingly with no windows.
I opened the door and looked around.
Indeed there were no windows. It was mostly bare and dimly lit.
I saw only a couple pieces of clothing and shoes on the ground, as if someone had just left them there.
Sensing they may still be there, I slowly and quietly made my way to the door.
That’s when he appeared.
Silvery white hair and beard, large build, and piercing stark, ice blue eyes. He was likely unclothed, but I only focused on his eyes, face, and bare, strong shoulders – not removing my gaze he had me locked in.
I felt his power, although it appeared that he had shifted into a mortal form living in this hotel room by the ocean.
His eyes gave him away, as they were electric like the lightning storms that take sailors to their detriment and carried the power of the ocean.
It was as if he was waiting for me.
I did feel uncomfortable and some fear took over, as I was not sure of his intentions, his power was great, and here I was inside his domain with no one knowing I was here.
Everything between us was in silence, but telepathically understood.
He knew my trepidation and rather than make me feel more comfortable, he turned on his power even greater. It was as if he knew the best medicine for me was to show up larger and not coddle me. (Much like what I always share that the best way to support someone is to stand in your power rather than meet them in their story, as that provides them authentic choice and a bridge to meet you in their own power, or to remain where they are and choose the story)
And so he stood between me and the door and his eyes became literally electric, glowing and charged, all his power coming through them and his pupils white at center of the icy blue. He turned it on and sent it piercing through to me.
It was not his intention to hurt me, but to show me his power and to test me.
It was then that something was triggered inside and I rose to the occasion.
Suddenly a power built inside of me and I faced him straight on and pierced his eyes back with my own, full steam…my own eyes in penetrating force sending the power within me through to him…hitting him hard.
I remember telepathically sending him the message, “Don’t you dare pull your power on me again or you’ll have this to reckon with.”
His eyes smiled with delight.
It wasn’t a vicious energy between us at all. It was more like a playful exchange between old friends calling each other out…or a master with his disciple who has now turned the tables and both are pleased with the outcome finally achieved through the hard work.
It was as if he was taunting me to reveal myself and not cower before anything or hide in any way who I really am. He was wanting me to dig into the watery depths of my own Pisces soul and bring forth who I really was.
After I turned on my power, I then quickly left.
The dream went on a while, and he seemed to follow me when I left the room to try to get a different room. There was a sense he did not want me changing rooms and wanted me to stay with that one. He even shape shifted into the manager of the hotel at the desk I’d gone to to try to have things changed. And so I never did, although was trying to shake him from following me.
It was evident that he would not leave me be until I fully grasped the seriousness of his message, fully integrated and embodied it, and kept “me” turned on consistently.
Synchronously, this morning I pulled one of my Faery Oracle Tarot cards and the message seemed to reiterate the dream:
“If you are courageous, you can now become who you truly are on a magickal level. When you accept this part of who you are, and accept that this magick you have experienced is natural and good, you will grow stronger, more fearless, more calm, more effective and you will draw to you the people who can echo back to you these truths you have found.”
Being a Pisces, Neptune’s energy is very familiar to me, although can also be some of the trickiest because it is all about the subconscious, the shadow, the depths of feelings below the surface…. and now he is asking of me to bring forth the depths of who I am in an even bigger, bolder, constantly visible way.
Seems he will be sticking around and working with me to ensure that I do. 🙂

I have received Neptune’s message to heart, as his eyes continue to stare into my soul and I know will haunt me with his fatherly, disciplined love of which I am grateful.
I will be continuing to integrate the depths of what this means for me and how I want it to manifest, as I approach a new cycle come my birthday and as I reflect on today’s illuminating Full Moon in Leo.
My question to myself is do I dare turn my power full on?

We cannot afford to live less than who we really are.
Me/You, my/your loved ones, the Earth, the collective, the Cosmos needs you to remember and be, without veils, without masks, without sugar coating, without false power, without illusion, without fear, without denial and repression….
Arise and meet yourself eye to eye today.

Lee Harris on Taking Your Power Back When Judgments Affect You
This is a quick how-to from Lee Harris that goes well with themes I’ve been sharing about to help you be more empowered in your life.
This one specifically speaks to releasing the judgments of others so that you can take your power back…a pretty big one for a lot of people I’m guessing.

Today’s Leo New Moon is all about authentic self-expression, personally channeled creativity, dynamic individuality, heart-centered love, and vitality.
So today’s a good time, if you aren’t already, to see how you’re doing with shining from your heart and singing your song – then extending that out to every day of your life in consistent continuation.
Leo is ruled by the Sun, and both are connected with the heart. So the more you love yourself, share authentic love with others, and express love through all that you do and create, the more you embody the Sun.
Nokan Inti Kani – I AM THE SUN
I had a dream last night about a magick pendulum. It was an amazing pendulum that somehow I manifested and I was discovering all of its gifts it had for the first time.
As I held it from its chain it would start to spin on its own in any and every direction. It could be directed by my hands and thoughts as well and would morph into different shapes and objects. The more creative I was, the more it would do.
If it was spinning and I placed my hand or fingers near it with intention, it would stop in mid-air and do as my hand and thoughts guided. It also would do this simply as an extension of me without necessity to physically direct it with my hand, but I began to see that it was mirroring the myriad of endless creativity within me to constantly shift and create as much as I utilized my creative energy to keep channeling new possibilities.
I then asked it to show me things, which it did through morphing and changing its dance as messages to me. And then I asked it show me a symbol for my new direction in life now, given I am embarking on a whole new trajectory.
That’s when I was woken up by my bunny, Joy, making noise in my office across the hall and so the dream ended.
I took that as a message that it’s up to me to create whatever I want and from here on out, just as I had received as message before, nothing is solidified, contracted, or known. I have the joy of a whole new creative slate to start painting on anyway I want and to change it at any and every moment.
I realized that this magick pendulum was a reflection of me and demonstrated the innate power I had within to create anything I wanted, but that I also had many new and undiscovered gifts that were ready to emerge and simply needing me to engage them now for a new journey in life beginning.
And so do each of us.
The dream also reminded me of the Magician card in Tarot and how we can be masters of the elements, as well as both Universal energy and the physical to manifest and make use of all of our powers, as an extension of Source.
The Magician is about applying your creative forces with conscious awareness and intentional focus to claim your power.
It is number one in the Tarot deck, which is the number of new beginnings. He’s the bridge between the spirit and physical realm where you can channel Universal energy through you and direct it to physical plane for manifestation.
As the number one card he’s all about messaging you that you have the ability to access your creative power and energy to create a completely new cycle of life.
And so too, are New Moons about new beginnings.
Coupled with Leo’s dynamic, creative self-expression, you have supportive energy to assist you in becoming a Magician in your own life right now and create anew and create with authentic boldness.
So how are you shining your light through authentic and creative self-expression?
Every moment is opportunity to write a new story for yourself and access your own inner Magician.
Days like today’s New Moon, are merely reminders of what we always have available to us and assist you in understanding the cycles of energy you have to work with currently that you can harness in your life for greater vitality.

You Create Miracles Everyday in Every Way
Miracles are considered to be occurrences that take place in surprisingly wonderful and “welcome” ways.
The definition of a miracle is an inexplicable event considered to be the work of some divine agency and the truth is, “miracles” are responses to a request fueled by YOUR focus and intents sent out, which are then answered/mirrored by the unified field of consciousness.
This principal is the same when you constantly focus your attention on how much you don’t like your job, boss, or particular person, complain about lack in any way, and focus on all of the things you don’t like about yourself and your life situations, and then those things manifest.
We would likely not choose to label these as miracles, but in fact they are, as a result of your powerful ability to be the creator of your life. There is no universal distinction between a creation of limitation and one of expansiveness – they simply are manifested creations/miracles that you are demonstrating each day to be in your ability to create.
The issue becomes one of perspective and judgment, wherein you have chosen to only use certain words to describe something you deem a favorable experience.
But, if you come to realize how truly powerful you are in the way you are creating so many things, of every variety, in each moment, you can start to ease off of focusing your time and energy on things you don’t want to create, and start focusing it on only the things you do.
You – your frequency – influences the energy field of your experiences.
You Complete You

Do you find yourself looking for someone or something to complete you and never feel that you can be happy until you have that perfect partner, friend, job, or thing?
Or do you find yourself content and fulfilled whether on your own or not, or in any given situation?
So many of us have spent a good portion of our lives looking for these puzzle pieces to a puzzle that never was missing a piece to begin with.
You are already capable of being whole in the here and now, as you already are, but simply forgot.
Be the love you seek. Be the joy you desire. Be the peace you crave. Be the wholeness you are looking for.
Yes, we’ve heard it all before…self-love is key to fulfilling relationships and experiences. And yet many of us still keep searching….
Expecting love from others is setting yourself up for disappointment. Expectations of any sort create disappointment.
And, you’ll always attract people and things that reflect something to help remind you of your wholeness – person or thing, or not.
When you can love yourself enough to hold your own light AND darkness, then you can do the same for others and you come to a point of being able to extend radical compassion to everyone you encounter and relate with, especially yourself.
If you empower others with being the source of your needs, desires, and fulfillment, then you will never get anywhere, as humans are fallible and each has their own experiences to go through. So you end up choosing to be in whatever state they are in, rather than choosing your own.
It is your responsibility to be responsible about your life. When you displace power to others to be your source for anything or everything, it becomes easy to place blame elsewhere or find excuses and scapegoats for embracing your own growth.
If you give someone that kind of power over you, who really is responsible for that?
Relationships are powerful growth facilitators, but the key is in continuing to develop your own individuality, independence, and sense of self during the process of relating, learning, and loving. Your personal growth never ceases to be important and it isn’t just for yourself that you do this, but for the greater good, as well as the beauty and grace of your relationships with others.
Cultivating and nurturing your own passions, having some alone time, and time with friends outside of your relationship, really enhances the relationship. When you complete you, you’re in for a truly amazing union with another, as then you are purely there to enjoy each other and in so doing, enhance the quality of the companion you’ve attracted (or will attract) and the time and/or life you share with them. You can shift things instantly within your current relationship as well, the minute you start pointing the power back to yourself and being your own source.
And, when you stop trying to heal and “fix” others, which really is a subconscious cry to heal yourself, you will also start creating things you want more rapidly and come to experience greater and enduring quality of life because you are healing the source, rather than a reflection of it – efficiency and effectiveness at its best.
Since we attract reflections of ourselves in others, as you complete you, the people you attract will start reflecting more of what you always hoped for because you no longer displace your power and now walk in the grace of those things yourself.
