Until the Last Moment…Some Inspirational Music for the Day

The energy as of late feels like this song – one of my all time favorites of Yanni’s from his album, “In My Time”. That album was an integral part of my spiritual journey at a pivotal point in time. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve listened to it.

And this song is one that I use in healing meditations where I journey to a sacred, special place and am met by my dear ones. Certain songs have a way with each individual. 🙂

Since I’ve been listening to this cd and song the last couple of days, I thought I’d share it along with this beautifully made video that synchronously mirrors my special heart sanctuary.

Perhaps it will inspire and move you in ways that are supportive too.

The Animal Communicator – Dancing With Life

annaAfter having watched this absolutely beautiful documentary a couple of times, I couldn’t help but share it. A friend of mine sent me the link, feeling it aligned with me, and they were correct. I’ve just finished watching it again, filled with joyous tears from the stories experienced.

So many great stories and I especially love the story about “Spirit” whom you’ll meet in the film.

I feel this is such an important film with a timely message that goes well beyond its title. This is the first full length documentary film on the “art” of animal communication, which is wonderful, as so many people have strong disbelief around this subject. But as you will come to learn through watching it, there is much more you will take away from this film besides perhaps re-evaluating your beliefs.

This film beautifully highlights some of Anna Breytenbach’s devoted journey in interspecies communication and the remarkable clarity and accuracy of that exchange she receives, which has profound effects.

But this film also makes a key point that when we open our awareness and soften our experience, body and mind, we open the communication channels to a more pure connection not just with animals, but with ourselves, each other, the plants, the sky, the water, the Earth, and Universe at large.

With this wider perspective and conscious awareness, we experience how we are all a collective family dancing with life and each other. Yes, being alive is a gift and when we connect our individual, signature frequency with the frequency of the natural world around us, we align with the Earth’s frequency and understand the importance of a return to natural harmony and treating the entire inner and outer environment as a whole. The Elders and Indigenous Peoples have been sharing this understanding with us for a long time and the meaningful impact it has. And so have the animals. We just aren’t listening.

The question the film poses is this – once you know the message, how will you respond?

Anna’s goal is to raise awareness and advance the relationships among human and non-human animals, on both the personal and spiritual levels. In her communication and conservation work, she guides people to deepen their connection with all species in an honoring manner, and is inspired by being a voice for the animals and natural environments.

As Anna shares so simply about interspecies communication, “It’s NOT ‘supernatural’. It IS SUPER natural, as in VERY natural – simply the blueprint of our brains.”

I hope that you will take the time to watch this beautiful 52-minute film:

Holiday Gift Ideas at Special Discount & Free Offers: Crystals, Creative Expressions, & Integrative Healing

winter wonderlandSeasons change quickly and so we find ourselves at the holiday season once again. I’m the kind of person who likes to celebrate each day and likes to gift myself or others things throughout the year, whenever the heart inspires. Yet, I know that having a special time where perhaps you may save up to do something extra special for people in your life, or even yourself, is meaningful to many, along with valuing traditions that are important to you.

I love Christmas time for its extra enchantment and magick, as I know many others do as well. There’s something about a winter wonderland, snow faeries, elves, enchanted creatures, and lights that tickles the heart. (111 word count there – haha!! Or rather…hoho!!) 😉

There’s something fun about unwrapping a present given to us…perhaps it’s also the symbolism I love of clearing away the surface to get to the authentic core gift we receive by that digging.

So for all of you gift-givers and gift-receivers, I do have some possible ideas you may enjoy for this holiday season and all year through.

mojo6CRYSTALS & CRYSTAL PAINTINGS:

I just stocked up my Crystal Illuminations Etsy Shop with new magickal friends (although several have already gone to their loving new home while in the midst of writing this).

You will find a wide range of gift items for every budget with prices starting at $9 and up. Everything you see is intuitively chosen for its unique energy, quality, and infused with Reiki love and special goodies from my heart to yours.

Seeds (yes, everyone’s favorites are back)! I have three of these available, which are large Quartz L.O.V.E Seeds. And of course, Crystal Illuminations paintings that embody the essence of each crystal to fill your space with their energetic support. There are a couple of prints of two favorites people love, also available – Eternal Harmony: The Journey Home and Cosmic Sunset over the Ocean.

amethyst-and-blue3Included in the new crystals are a couple of Andaras, along with some new finds that are rare and powerful including Satya Mani Quartz, Dream Quartz, and Gold Azeztulite that is part of a 5-piece mojo bag set.

I did also have an amazing new crystal, Fenster or “Window” Quartz and the awesome, rare Tibetan Quartz, but they were among some that went quickly. If I come across more of these, I will add them to the shop in the future, as they are both amazing crystals of these times. (I’ll likely also do an upcoming blog on some of these amazing new crystals to share about their energy and introduce them, if you don’t already know about them)

I do hope you’ll enjoy exploring the crystal friends and take the time to read their properties to learn about them and see if they would be a supportive companion for you or someone you know and love.

Yes, I’m super inspired to do what I can to help motivate people to step up and commit to their personal healing journey, as it has profound effects not just for you, but everyone you encounter, and the collective at large. Saying “maybe later” will provide the exact results of your level of commitment. Every moment is precious and vital. We have to make it count in whatever way we possibly can, as we only are guaranteed “right now”.

Happy “Holistic” Holidays!

The Value of Exploring

beach“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” ~Mark Twain

I felt a strong impulse to share this post today about the value of exploring and having the courage to embrace change. After all, in order for growth to happen, there must be change. And beach25change will happen despite us partnering with it. Nature reflects this to us in the changes of season, weather patterns, and the cycles of life. Human “nature” is aligned with this, however we do seem to try to unsuccessfully prove otherwise.

But back to exploring, as this is another big theme that is valuable to embrace while we are being asked by the energies abound to excavate to the core of our experience.

beach12The seed of this post was planted Sunday while at the beach, and I knew the inspiration would follow, as I always see the symbolism in everything). After my solitary, dusk time on Friday there, I returned to my refuge of Crystal Cove with Dave and we took a walk. On this day, the tide was out further, beach29particularly in one area that has always been an endpoint of the several mile walk beach3available on this beach. Because of this, all of the rocks at this usual end destination point, were not immersed in water and crashing waves, providing a perfect entry point to what lied beyond. This was the first time in the 2-3 years we have been exploring this beach, that we had hit a day that enabled this.

The rocks are jagged and steep and you couldn’t see what was on the other side unless you actually climbed them. And so we did. No one else seemed eager to do so that was around, and didn’t.

beach2We discovered a very cool, small, hidden cove on the other side of tons of tide pools, normally under water, and more of the amazing ancient rocks and caves that you could see on its sister side that had easy access from the beach always.

Of course this was a playground for the child in me and we spent time individually exploring. I found so many little treasures along the way (as you can see in the beach15photos of this post) of seashells, beautiful sea anemones, sea snails, and secret caves and inlets to wade through to get to them. It was really magickal.

The two seashells you see together in my hand that were a bit more aged than the sole seashell in the other photo, I felt were to be an offering and gift to the ancient cave spirit there, in honor of the Divine Feminine I felt it to embody and as gratitude for revealing her beautiful gifts on this day. (You can see the two shells I placed at the very deepest point within the cave)

beach19Had I not followed the explorer in my heart to climb the steep rocks (which at first had me take a pause due to wearing slippery flip flops, likely like the other people had felt) to what I could not see, I would not have been able to receive the treasure experience on the other side.

I always feel that each time at the beach I will see something amazing and alongside what we discovered on the other side of the rocks, we also found a sole starfish. Starfish are not beach23easily or usually found, as the tide has to be out far enough, and you have to be observant and/or lucky to have them reveal themselves to you. (You can read about starfish symbolism here: Starfish Symbolism: Exploring the Magick of These Star People)

beach14A couple of times we had seen many. A few weeks ago we saw two. And this day, one. It was very far out however, so it was amazing we found him. So I had to wade through the water and rock pools pretty far to catch a closer glimpse of him resting in his refuge, hidden under the rock away from the sun light.

I’m always grateful for any experience I have and the extra goodies that show up are icing on the cake.

However, it is my naturally explorative heart that is always excited to discover and uncover. Even if that means going through some challenging things in order to get to the gifts. beach6This can mean facing fears, having extra courage, being tenacious and understanding your resiliency, be willing to feel a little “ick” to get to the “weeeeee”, as well as open to vulnerable transparency, honesty, and responsible commitment.

beach18I AM a pilgrim of the Universe, and that includes the outer and inner one, as they are one in the same. I have and will continue to explore this Earth and travel the world, both far and near to help bridge boundaries that have been artificially created worldwide. I will continue to dig deep and discover what is beyond the hidden rock walls both within and without, as I know that with every courageous step I experience the expansive possibilities and collective unity available to each of us.

beach13I revel in the journey and let go, with trust, into the unknown.

I believe we all are pilgrims in our own ways, as we would not be here if we had not once been ready to explore this experiential Earth – the fun and not so fun. Some of us may explore in different ways, but we each have the ability to beach5explore what is right in front of us in each moment – be that your backyard, your neighborhood, the streets you take to work, the people you walk by and stand beside each day, the animals and plants that share this life with you and provide beauty, as well as are integral to the circle of life, trying something new, a good book or movie that makes you think, or your thoughts, emotions and beliefs.

beach22Embrace your inner child at heart who loves to be curious, inquisitive, and explore. There is so much available. So many opportunities…so many possibilities…and so much more love to feel.

beach8The more we are willing to explore outside of our comfort zones the more we bridge what fears and isolation have separated us from – ourselves, each other, all of life, the Earth and Universe at large.

If you are willing to make the loving effort, something loving will take place.

beach20I so LOVE this song (you have likely seen me post it more than once somewhere since it is a favorite of mine). And I just came across this video, by “chance” beach28(I just hit 1111 word count as I wrote “chance”). It perfectly reflects the energy of this sharing today and had me in deep, joyful tears and chills several times, especially when the ducks appear.

I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the footage around the 2 minute mark of the mother duck and her babies – so precious and fearless all at once. I won’t give it away (in case you haven’t seen it), but I hope you will watch it and you’ll see how they demonstrate what I wrote above when I said:

“I revel in the journey and let go, with trust, into the unknown.”

“Cling to” or “release”? The quality of each moment is most important…not the end result.

The Value of “Sloth” – Expanding Our Perceptions for Greater Wisdom

sloth2I don’t usually participate in any of the tests, surveys, or games that circulate on Facebook, but last week I took part in a quick one that my friend Jenny had posted, being drawn in by the animal nature of it at a time when I also was needing a fun little break. It used a Myers-Briggs Type Indicator to represent a general overlook of your tendencies when it comes to social behavior, decision-making, and lifestyle and then provides an animal personality type that most closely reflects that.

I feel that if you take this kind of test at different points in your life, AND are totally honest in the process, you will discover how you change over time in most direct alignment to the flow of current energy in your life.

I know this to be true, as my current answers are different than the answers the past me would have given. I was very pleasantly surprised and happy with what it reflected – feeling it to be very accurate.

And I realized after taking the test, why it was that I did feel drawn to do so, as there was something in the process to learn and share.

As I looked deeper into my animal personality that showed up, I started to see even more depth and meaning to it and have been reflecting on it the past few days since.

I feel many of us have judgments about what we’d like to be associated with, based on our ideas of what the animals in general represent to us. As well, I believe that we may have conditioned beliefs about each animal and don’t fully understand the wisdom and depth that they all hold in ways that we are unfamiliar with or haven’t taken time to feel into at any great depth.

This also holds true for many things in life, not just the symbolism I am currently sharing about.

It was this realization that nudged me to share about the animal that came up for me, which is the Sloth.

I made some of my own connections and insights immediately, but then found it interesting when doing a quick search online, that there were a lot of generalizations about the Sloth that weren’t the whole story and feeling superficially perceived by the “obvious,” or associated with belief systems to make certain points.

I always recommend, and current energies support this, to dig deeper. There is always much more than meets the eye and it truly is a perfect time to widen your perceptions, don’t you think?

Of course we know how “Sloth” is considered one of the seven deadly sins under Catholicism and Christian moral traditions. Under this religious context it is defined as wasting and neglecting yourself spiritually and emotionally, out of lack of interest or use – to put it nicely. 🙂

And other generalizations of Sloth’s symbolism share the widely thought of “laziness, avoidance, and lack of ambition.”

Hmmm… Well, being that I know I don’t possess any of these qualities, nor am religious or believe in deadly sins, I knew Sloth had a beautiful meaning that not only the test’s brief summary shared and my own insights reflected, but also that I further unveiled by digging.

The test’s description of my “Sloth-ness” said:

Peaceful and easygoing, Sloths take things at their own pace and live moment to moment. They are considerate, pleasant, caring, and mellow. Their values are important to them, but they are not ones who particularly care about defending or debating their views publicly. Don’t call them lazy — maybe they are just more relaxed than the rest of us.

This made perfect, accurate sense to me and went along with the quiet, calm, softening qualities I have been sharing about deepening into, as well as the very solitary, introspective times I’ve been in, as I observe and sense everything. While I’ve been moving in slower motion these days, this reflects a relaxing-into the natural energy that is, without trying to force anything and taking only very deliberate, efficient steps – which sometimes seems/looks as if I’m not doing much at all. All of this while realizing that so much IS percolating energetically. So I really don’t need to do a lot, as all is revealed in divine timing and comes together quickly when I do finally set things in motion because I listen to the energy rather than think my way through it.

I’ve come to understand the wastefulness of speeding around to appease contrived time-frames and unnecessary parameters, as well as the impact on not only my well-being, but the product of that “force,” and the example it provides to others.

One of my favorite animal spirit guide websites shares that Sloth’s Wisdom also includes:

  • Wisdom associated with moving slowly
  • The value of perceived laziness
  • Understanding the Tree Spirits
  • Ability to access the libraries within the Trees where all Earth knowledge is held
  • Understanding when to use tenacious behavior
  • Seeing the world upside down

That last one has a really cool symbolism that hit me immediately after receiving Sloth as a reflection, but I’ll get back to that shortly.

sloth in costa ricaI remembered right away that I had opportunity to be in the presence of wild Sloths when I was in Costa Rica exploring the rain forests. I also remember the excitement I felt and was fascinated by the two that we were blessed to come across. One must be very observant to eye these well-camouflaged, quiet, still, non-moving, sweet creatures of the forest. (Photo to the right is of one of them in the trees – very hard to make her out, but you can see her body of hair hanging from the tree home she embraces)

Sloth’s represent many cool qualities and, as you can already tell, have a deep wisdom to impart. All animals do. Everything in nature and yes, pretty much every experience does.

If you identify with “Sloth” or have Sloth as your animal spirit guide totem, then this post is for you. But it is also for everyone who is moving through “Sloth” experiences in their own life (like me) and can see the value that she brings in her teachings.

The Sloth is a creature of psychic vision and aloneness (in the sense of security and comfortability being with yourself). Like owls, they are capable of turning their heads almost 270 degrees, which you can imagine provides them a mysteriously insightful ability to see many perspectives – above, below, and every which way. I’d say that reflects their expanded inner vision, as being able to take in so much externally, can only mirror having the capability of processing that amount of depth and breadth of experience.

It is also this ability that lends to Sloths’ connection to the realm of spirit and their having very strong and clear visionary gifts. Being that they spend their time up in the trees, they can mirror someone who may have, or currently feels, out of place on Earth because of having different ways about them from the society they live in. This is why self nurturing of these gifts in ways that bring them into grounded, useful application for manifestation, becomes important. And with their strong connection to the Tree Spirits, there is that available ancient knowledge that can assist in that process, as well as bring the gifts of vision into partnership and harmony with Earth.

Tree-dwelling and keenly adaptive to branch-living (even mating while hanging from the trees), Sloths teach us balance and a broadened sense of personal space that is freeing and can be created in the most unlikely of places, as long as you are secure within yourself.

As you saw from my photo of the Sloth in Costa Rica, they are very good at camouflaging themselves, which teaches us the ability to merge and shape-shift with our environments in unification, rather than separation.

And of course you may gather that they would symbolize someone who is comfortable being a “loner” and values their freedom of independence and personal space, since Sloths generally live alone.

From this you can easily see their connection to the Tarot’s “Hermit.” This Hermit-like nature, thus whispers to us the “power of silence.” They know its value and also the power of mindfulness, being observant, present, aware, and focused all by going within your inner silence. They understand good use of purposeful retreat in order to prepare for the new. From this place, you are alert and ready to embrace opportunity when it presents itself, having the advantage of the wisdom gained. They also know how to conserve energy and to use it discerningly and efficiently.

From their being judged as lazy, unambitious, and undisciplined, yet actually being quite versed in the moment-to-moment flow, while enjoying this relaxed vantage point of deliberation, you can see their connection to the Tarot’s “Fool.”  To others, you, like the Sloth, may look foolish to superficial judgments, but in fact it is you who is laughing the whole way to your dreams. In this way the Fool/Sloth may be encouraging of your devout belief in yourself despite anything or what anyone else says – to follow your heart no matter how crazy or foolish your impulses may seem and trusting that the Universe always takes care of you.

And, to get back to my point from before, I see them also very prominently as perfect and powerful symbols of the Tarot’s “Hanged Man.” Yes indeed, new and expanded perspectives come when we are in a state of suspension and literally turn our world upside down in order to see from all angles of the experience, which provides greater insight and wisdom.

I love this excerpt from an article by Carolyn R. Guss that explores the “Hanged Man” card and its connections to yoga.

sloth“Headstand, Hanged Man, and Tree by Carolyn R. Guss shares:

The Hanged Man is trump #12 in the Tarot’s Major Arcana, a cluster of 22 cards (within a deck of 78) that serves as the archetypal or “soul” energies of the deck. The card depicts a man hanging by one ankle from a tree or wooden frame, with his arms bent at the elbows and his free leg crossed behind the other thigh. It signifies, briefly, release of ego, voluntary surrender, willingness to suspend control, and a non-attachment to outcome. In short, it is a very Zen-like card: one of the tenets of Zen Buddhism being to live in the moment, the present, which is all that we really have. It also, in a reading, can suggest quietly magical alterations in the way we do things—again, though, for the sake of experiment and growth, without expecting a prescribed result.

The Hanged Man suspends himself willingly from a living tree, in order to surrender, as Rachel Pollack says in The Seventy-Eight Degrees of Wisdom, “to the rhythms of life.” His hands, in many versions of the card, are hidden behind him, signifying release of control. Although a human figure, the Hanged Man might as well be a sloth or a bat, an opossum or a kinkajou. He is, for a time, at home in his silly posture.

hanged manBut why? Pollack says that the Hanged Man “hints of great truths in a simple design,” whereas Arthur Edward Waite, in The Pictorial Key to the Tarot, deems it “a card of profound significance, but all the significance is veiled.” The medieval alchemists felt that standing on one’s head allowed gravity to pull energy from the genitals to the brain, thus transforming the energy of desire into spiritual energy, just as the ancient yogis felt that such a reversed position creates renewal and radiance within the individual. In modern terms it is thought that, as Pollack describes it, “reversal of physical posture serves as a direct symbol of the reversal of attitude and experience that comes through spiritual awakening.”

As you can see, there is so much more than meets the eye to anything and there is great value in exploring things to find deeper meaning. You will find so much wisdom, nudges, and teachings when you open yourself to embrace more.

I have found a deeper sense of appreciation and gratitude for “Sloth” and honor her presence in my life at this time, as an integration of who I am and what I am focused on currently with the major transmutation taking place.

I hope you will find some value in expanding your own concept of our dear friend the Sloth and find appreciation for the times she graces your life with her wisdom and seeks you out to support the changes you are wanting to make.

Taurus Full Moon Energy Invites You to Responsibly Re-Evaluate

full moon novWith tomorrow’s energy of our beautiful Full Moon in Taurus already being experienced, you may be feeling the extra nudge to re-evaluate your life and core values on all levels, including root beliefs, that speak your heart’s truth. Taurus is a very grounding friend that will herald us to embrace authenticity and face the reality of what our self worth is reflecting in our lives.

This energy can help you to align yourself more with what is important to you by bringing illumination to what needs to be shifted for that empowered experience to take root.

And it will draw attention to your feelings towards abundance, including financial, and what is most representative of your fears or beliefs surrounding this.

Once again it’s about living authentically and committing to you, having the dreams and goals you desire align with your truth, realizing the way to create the life you want and how to change the things you don’t want, hearing what your inner world is telling you and lovingly integrating your shadow, finding lasting value rather than instant gratification, taking stock of your inner and outer resources and putting them to productive use, investigating the fears holding you back, cultivating more gratitude, and in general discovering you are the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow – yes it’s you who will unlock everything for you.

I’ve found myself in a more solitary and internal place the last few weeks, myself, exploring much of these things, being very observant to what is in my life and how I feel about it all, where my energy feels drawn, and what is wanting to be cultivated more. I’ve shared how dreams and sleep have been deep and powerfully symbolic, and even in my waking experience, I can feel SO much energy percolating and processing simply because I have invited this conversation with myself.

This in turn allows for the perfect messages, guidance, insights, experiences, etc. to come through and not only to simply come through, but to do so with full partnering awareness and responsible commitment, on my part, to what is showing up.

I may not have an answer yet (or at least the kind of answer some people may believe they need to have), but I am confident that everything is weaving a perfect tapestry, moment to moment, and what needs to be clearly seen is and will continue to be as more things align. There’s no rush. I simply do all that I can and know it will unfold beautifully and perfectly as long as I keep showing up responsibly at each twist and turn.

I wasn’t always like this, as I do know how easy it is to be anxious to get to the next step and the next, or to want to speed up to some sort of end result (which there really actually never is). But over time, I’ve learned to step back and realize each moment for the powerful “present” that it is.

beach

yesterday at the beach

Yesterday, as celebration for one of my projects completing and feeling the ocean calling, I ventured to Crystal Cove Beach by myself. The timing was perfect, as when I arrived the sun had just set and the last of the surfers were loading their surfboards in their cars and driving home. This left the beach all to myself and without a soul around so I could be in the stillness of this space I created out of time and space of the realities that are not mine.

It was such a perfect evening where there was still a glint of sunset hues, but the nearly full Moon had also risen and it was that perfect in-between time of dusk. The water was unusually warm – warmer than days I’d been there this past summer – and the air was perfect and without chill or wind. It was just me and a few seagulls that flew overhead to join and a couple of sandpipers gliding across the water’s edge.

beach5I walked a bit, but mostly stood where ocean meets sand. And as the water glided over my feet I felt its softening effects and it was this that I took away from some of the messages received…not only did I feel my heart soften more, but I understood this to be a consistent experience to keep embracing.

I also found myself receiving the reiterating message of the importance of responsibility, as well as commitment and consistency. I was given glimpses of experiences that had affected me in the past and saw them with a deepened sense of realization that it had been my responsibility that had wavered and not about anything or anyone else, as they were playing out and learning merely from my example.

There’s not a moment to forget that responsibility. And yet also to not get down on yourself when you are human, realizing it is all unfolding perfectly for what everyone needs. While we learn to forgive ourselves and others for our realness, we also at some point realize in the bigger picture that there is really nothing to forgive. We need to forgive only because we first judge and start identifying our story with anger, guilt, resentment, jealousy, etc.

beach2I believe that if you are wanting to create something new and in a bigger way, that the theme of responsibility will start to show prominently in your experience. To me, this also goes along with the Taurean energy of this Full moon. Since what we are working with these days is calling for the utmost authenticity, depth, and commitment, if you are asking for something more, than you will also need to give of yourself more. I feel that equates to greater responsibility to self and the collective, as well as opening more of your heart, daring more of your vulnerability, expanding your unconditional compassion and love, embracing more consistency in action of your words, courage to go where you haven’t, and to support your personal integrity fully.

I also believe it is about letting go and fully walking through a new door without any of the old baggage and perhaps even temporarily or permanently moving away from something you “thought” you wanted to do, but realize something more is where your focus and energy are better put to use for greatest fulfillment.

As the water and sand merged and sculpted softly around my feet by the water’s edge, I understood that the only thing separating my feet from the water was my beliefs. And when I softened the focus and opened the doorway wider to my perspectives, I was gifted expansive freedom that flowed limitlessly.

The evening grew dark and I sat for a while by moonlight receiving.

photo-1Then last night I had a magickal dream where I was again at the ocean’s edge and a group of luminous mermaids emerged and joined me in the shallow water on the sand. There was something gifted in this exchange symbolically and I remember a bracelet. I believe it came from the mermaids and was a combination of four rows of stones/crystals and smaller beaded crystals woven into the copper-like metal around the outside. When placed on the wrist you could feel a surge of energy shoot up and through you. The stones were none that I have ever heard of with unusual, seemingly made-up names, except for one – Tiger’s Eye. Then there was something called Emerald “Ferth” (which appeared like Green Quartz) and two others that had longer unusual names that were almost made up of sounds that could have been mermaid ways of communicating. There was a long name in front of Opalite for one of them and another was a long sounding name with a lot of “O’s” in it. The four stones were set in lines on top of one another. Tiger’s Eye first, then the ….Opalite, then the Emerald “Ferth”, then the “O”sounding-named crystal.

(Update: After I posted this, my dear friend Mari brought something to my attention that I feel holds significance. She mentioned getting a connection to Ireland and Scotland from reading “Emerald Ferth” saying instead of “Ferth”, it may be “Firth”, and Emerald suggesting the “Emerald Isle” – Ireland. Interestingly, I had wondered if it had been a play-on-words like my dream about “glean/gleen” that I posted on. I didn’t know what either “Ferth” or “Firth” meant, but there is actually a word “Firth” which means “a narrow inlet of the sea or estuary”. My friend shared that the area around Scotland and Ireland is full of “firths”. By my sharing it as I had seen it, this led to my friend’s gift of interpretation on that part of the dream. My sense is that the mermaids may have been from the waters around Scotland and Ireland and connects with that magickal faery portal there.)

I’m not sure what it means, but perhaps the bracelet is an ethereal “gift” I can tune in to and use.

Needless to say, I am softening more and more in to my home frequency and truly understanding the value, importance, and meaning to live naturally and responsibly from this place. Things are no longer concepts I once learned, but becoming embodiments of my “being.”

How do you embody your values and what one thing can you do, today, to soften your heart and act with more responsibility to your chosen path?

Then, feel how that softening opens a space within and around you so that manifestation takes place in flow and mirror of your being like the miracles in nature. They receive just what they need because they do not try to take more – always knowing they are showered in abundance.

The Spirit of Grey – An Animal Companion Portrait Created With Love

The Spirit of GreyI love channeling soul energy that comes through our animal sisters and brothers. It is always an honor to be able to capture the spirit of someone’s beloved animal companion and this week I’ve been working on a special commission of Grey.

Beautiful Grey is no longer on this Earth plane with us, but her spirit lives within the hearts of those she holds dear. This painting is a Christmas gift from a client to her father of the special companion that had great impact on his life.

Grey

Grey

Grey was a rescue puppy and lived in Oaxaca, Mexico with her human companion where they enjoyed the beautiful outdoors together. She was the “alpha” dog of his large property that was shared with 4 other casitas and dog friends.

Grey loved roaming the outdoors, spending time in the garden, and enjoying the mountains of Oaxaca with her human companion where she would run and play in a place called San Isidro-Sierra Norte Llano Grande.

From the moment I saw an image of the forested mountain area there that my client shared, I knew immediately the image that was wanting to come through. Of the images of Grey that I was sent, I chose this very soulful one of her as a puppy, that both shows her depth and spiritedness.

It was a welcome challenge, the image I was receiving wanting to come through for this, as it was a melding of realism with an ethereal quality that was channeling in my heart. This was to be an overlay of what I saw as two different dimensional experiences seen at the same time…where Grey once used to play, and where she still does.

Grey being the portal, bridging the two at center.

Pine Forest in the Pueblos Mancomunados

Pine Forest in the Pueblos Mancomunados – my inspiration

The butterfly symbolizing the journey of life and transcendence, as well as the shifting of one experience into another. To the Maya, butterflies are seen as ancestors returning for a visit to physicality and have a very Earth and cosmic bridging connection. 😉

Grey is illuminated by the light coming through the forest, as she seems to say, “All is well.”

I believe the way that Grey was wanting this painting to come through as, holds a symbolic message that is also embedded within it, specifically for her dear soul friend.

Her presence was a powerful part of her human companion’s healing path and it is on that “path” they walked together, that she is still guiding him.

This painting not only celebrates the life of Grey and all whom she touched, but I dedicate it to all beings that have transitioned into another experience – both animal and human. There seems to be many souls journeying these days, as things naturally shift, and to each I thank you for joining this experience with us and supporting the perfect piece of the puzzle you embodied.

And I have to mention the amazing magickal thing I noticed when I was uploading the photo to this post. After I cropped the photo and saved it to my computer, low and behold, the file size naturally is 444 KB! Indeed the angels are around big time..and one of their names is Grey 🙂

I love Grey’s name, as it is the grey areas that we could do well with opening up more to.

“Life isn’t black and white. It’s a million grey areas, don’t you find? ~Ridley Scott

The animals have a message to share with us. We need only to listen.

Getting “Real” Really Is Key

16141430_b0ac4bb6f1Little by little I’m seeing that people are coming to understand that there’s more to creating change than simply being “positive” and reciting affirmations, which is so refreshing. And so it seems that another round of inner reflection about your emotional landscape is coming up as an important topic again to reflect on, as you are working with integrating the deep roots of your experience.

I’ve written a lot on this subject including this August post:

It’s Okay to Feel ~ Allowing Your Humanness To Be The Reflection Of Divinity It Is.

So I smiled when I read this short MindBodyGreen article, a few days ago, by Aimee Dufresne:

Stop Being “Positive” and Start Getting Real (Joy) In Your Life

In it, Aimee shares a few of her own simple hints and good places to start, to help you to “get real”.

As she puts it, just being positive is:

….”like trying to fit into the cutest pair of shoes that you want so badly but the only size available is a half size smaller than your feet. So you push and prod and tell yourself you can do it. You can bend your big toe and walk at an odd angle. Maybe the shoes will stretch if you wear them long enough. That chaffing isn’t so bad, is it?

Yes, it is. The further you push and force yourself into something that doesn’t fit, the more struggle and angst you will feel.”

So, if you have found yourself doing some of the spiritual bypassing, “fluffiness”, or denial with your emotions, where you “fake” a reality of feeling, crack a smile, and simply affirm otherwise, then you may want to check the links out and revisit your natural feelings in a deeper, holistic way.

Tom Lescher/Kaypacha ~ Astrology forecast for November 13, 2013

Uh huh! Feeling this too, Laura. Deep, deep change, slowing down (at least on the outside), going within and wanting solitary time, opening bigger, going through the layers to make important shifting decisions to go all out in different ways, feeling the death and rebirth process, deeper and longer sleep and tons of personal and collective dream work symbolism playing out. This brings to mind a dream I just had a couple of nights ago. I’ll let you interpret it in your own way from what I share. It was a collective dream and in it, there was a large group of people traveling in a foreign place in what seemed like open tram buses of some sort – the kind you would be on like at Universal Studios or Disneyland. And then the tram was stopped and a large band of people outside of the group on the buses, approached. The first reaction of everyone was that they were threatening robbers/bandits of some sort and the first thing everyone thought was that they would be after their purses, wallets and money. In their fear, people just automatically got out their wallets and purses when the people approached them, one by one, and offered them what was in the purse or said, this is all I have (desperately)…take it! Some were not happy to give up their money, others wanted to save their lives, and others lied about the money they had on them. But the peculiar thing is, the “bandits” did not want the money. And instead they symbolically dug inside the purses and wallets and pulled out one or more pieces of very deep information that was a subconscious root issue each of the people hadn’t dealt with. And rather than take from them the obvious, superficial thing at the forefront of their minds (money), they delved deeply into questioning the people with unrelentless inquisition that forced them to talk about and move through the repressed, denied, or forgotten feelings because they were fearful for their lives. I found this very interesting…and goes along with the Pele Report forecast, especially Tom/Kaypacha’s mantra: “Like an insect trapped in a spider’s web
I only have so much time.
The value and meaning of my life,
Death urges me to find.”
Much love to you as you birth anew.

A Walk in the Faery Realm

Ireland 2008 255All of yesterday I was listening to one of my favorite Celtic music CD’s, “Celtic Lamentations” by Aine Minogue while I was flowing through my work day and especially while I was painting. It felt like the perfect mirroring energy for the day, my work, and even the grey clouded skies that reminded me of some of the mystical days I spent in Ireland in 2008. (I’m continuing in this vein today with another favorite CD, “A Celtic Tale” by Mychael Danna and Jeff Danna, as the sun is shining quite warmly, in contrast to yesterday)

Ireland 2008 256As I just wrote 2008, I got a huge flash of that year’s experiences, which were really potent in my life. 2008 was a big year for me in SO many ways – experiencing the passing of my twin soul Nestor, the end to a marriage, powerful healing integration that took me from being depleted to feeling optimal, the onset of major life path shifts and new beginnings in all areas of my life that continue in expanded form today, and much traveling including Ireland, England, the Bahamas, Sedona, and Peru, to name a few. Hmmm, no wonder the title of that CD seems very fitting to many things. 😉

And remembering such a powerfully transformative year holds its own significance and messages for the current energy field we are collectively moving through. It was one of my years where I demonstrated my own strength in adversity, came from the depths of nearly complete physical deterioration to rebirth, and reminded me of how resilient we are and how capable we are to shift even the worst experiences into something beautifully empowering. It also reminded me how my unwavering beliefs, openness, and connections to the “magickal realms” were my life-savers and supportive guides.

Ireland 2008 257This is the experiential season of magickal alchemy and one beautiful way to embrace your abilities with this is to connect with the elemental realm and use your heart key to walk through the dimensional doorways of experience.

In resonance with yesterday’s post by my special faery friend, Laura Bruno, who shared a short, really interesting and enchanting documentary, six-part series: The Fairy Path (you can watch them at the link and the other four parts are listed in the comment section) about faeries, I instantly was transported to some of my own enchanting moments and it called up my wanting to share a few of my photos with you from some of the places I’ve visited that aligned with the energy in the videos. These photos capture, what I feel to be, enchanted elemental and faery realms, including doorways to these other dimensions by which they/we can travel through. I strongly felt the presence of the faeries at these places, which include Ireland (a good majority of the photos are from here), Oregon, Sedona, Maui, Toronto, Tahoe Meadows, and Santa Monica.

And as you explore the images, I’ve included some beautiful Celtic music to accompany you on your journey into the Magickal Realm of the Fey. I suggest you play the music and allow it to take you on a journey as you feel into the photos for the faery energy that is present and explore what you can “see.”

magickal tree in high park, torontoThere is a whole world of illuminated wonder you can invite into your experience that has transformative healing light to share with you. The faeries have much to offer in way of teaching gifts. Some helping you to reconnect with the innocence, purity, and joy within so you can experience a more playful and lighter life. Some are genius weavers of dreams and will teach you how to weave your own new reality forms from your creative heart desires. Others may be supporting your integrative healing or helping you to empower your gifts so you can be of service in partnership with them in the healing of Mother Earth/Gaia and all of her beautiful animals and plants.

However you choose to dance with the faeries, do so from a true and vulnerable heart and you will come to experience their delicate ways of powerful awakening that will assist in clearing the illusions and veils. You will also reconnect with more of your organic authenticity and find the rhythm of your heart beating with that of Earth’s.

Everything will feel possible. All things you desire become probable, if you truly walk (or fly) in integrity and responsibility of a consciously aware and “light” foot. Believe. Be True.
