Heavenly Stems & Earthly Branches ~ Rooting, Expanding & Balancing into Now Harmony
Below you’ll find one of the inspired messages I sent out to all my dear friends, clients, and readers in yesterday’s newsletter, as my closing thoughts for the year.

All that keeps coming to mind is how everything RIGHT NOW IS harmony and it is only when I step out of that natural harmony ALREADY present, try to control it, attach to it, expect from it, fight it, hide from it, fear it, judge, define and fracture it from its wholeness….that I create imbalance.
I believe it is because we can’t truly remember that in activated embodiment (beyond merely a concept), that we feel lost, abandoned, broken…and in search of something, anything, to fill the void that separates us from ourselves and each other.
It is so easy to run circles around ourselves, sink deeper in quicksand, and get lost in the layers of complexity there, but perhaps we have yet to see the forest for the trees.
Our emotions provide us the ability to experience the gamut of feelings that we, as an extension of All That Is, simply choose to experience and have the freedom to experience. Yet there are no better or worse paths, as they all lead back to each other. And feelings weren’t meant to attach to and lock away in every crevice of our bodies.
They are meant to move, as we dance through our life journey while shifting with the rhythm of the beat.
We’ve heard it over and over…it’s the journey, not the destination. And the more consciously we engage the journey, the more fulfillment we experience from it all.
Yet, we lost the flow of grace that comes in that all-encompassing experience. We replaced grace with a strange, co-dependent attachment to suffering, which is inherent in our continuous feeling of being less than, when we experience anything other than what others tell us we should be feeling and doing.
And from that illusion of suffering is the reason we keep wanting to “know” THE answer that we don’t need, never satisfied until we rid ourselves of all feelings except those we deem valuable and pleasant, and until we ARRIVE to some ideal destination.
It is from that illusion of suffering that we try to control and manipulate others, that we see fear and rage blowing up all over, that we have such an increase in depression, dis-ease, extremes, and intensities amplifying as the rubber band pulls tighter and gets ready to snap, rather than softly bend and reshape itself.
Spirituality pulled tightly in concept, yet needs its roots now so that it doesn’t continue to get lost in translation and deny its parts.
The physical over-extended itself in the pursuit of acquiring, amassing, and indulging, yet needs expansion that comes from integrating wisely and consciously, so as to align with the Earth it’s been overburdening, destroying, and denying.
Harmony and balance are needed.
Harmony and balance is present within each of us to invoke and recognize.
See it in Nature all around you, immerse in and honor Nature, and you return to the Nature within You.

Triple Rabbits, Birthday Blessings to Joy, Christmas Eve Magick & Alchemy
Last weekend while walking the San Joaquin Wildlife Sanctuary, three rabbits ran across the path directly ahead of me. Two of them were little cottontail rabbits and the third was a much larger rabbit, in comparison, pictured here in the images I captured.
The first two scurried a long more quickly, although hesitated in the bushes for me to have an eye-to-eye, but the third, larger rabbit, lingered to connect more intentfully.
There was something about seeing three and how two were smaller, but seemed equal in energy, and the third was the largest and seemed to embody not only a bigger energy, but one that brought all of their energy together and held its space with very present wholeness.
I love the energy of three and its integrative, creative power.
Three also symbolizes growth, magick, intuition, expression, versatility, pure joy of creativity, celebration, Goddess energy connected and reflective of the Empress in the Tarot, overcoming duality, manifestation, complete cycles, and flow.
Synchronously, I have been graced with three rabbits in this lifetime, I wear the Triple Rabbit Symbol as a sacred tattoo on my right arm, I am a number three by birth in numerology, and I am often talking/teaching about triangle energy and its potent symbolism in terms of how to create alchemy and transmutation when working with light and dark/shadow.
The Triple Rabbits (or sometimes known as the Triple Hares) are so powerful and represent the Trinity.
The three Rabbits I have had in this life include Twinkie – the first, whom I only had for a few months when I was about 12 years old.
He is the only male animal companion I’ve personally ever had, as even my parakeets were all female.
Then there was of course Nestor, and now Joy.
Interestingly, at my parents house while visiting them last week, my brother and I were looking through old photos and I found the only ones I have of Twinkie (pictured here).
It brought back bittersweet memories of him and I realized the powerful symbolism in the colors of the rabbits that have been in my life.
Twinkie, as you can see in the photos, was pure white (again that white symbolism showing up and how perfect that my white rabbit was a male, as white symbolizes the male/yang energy): Soaring Through a New Shade of White
Nestor was all shades of light and very dark gray.
And Joy is an integration of both white and gray. 🙂
Which brings me to the magick of today.
Not only is today, or rather this evening, one of my most cherished, enchanting nights of the year, but this day also holds a very special and precious place in my heart because it shares a celebration of the birth of my dear soul companion, Joy Julianna.
Today is sweet Joy’s birthday. She celebrates 11 years (another alchemical and potent number symbolism) of this Earthly life’s cycle, although she is an ancient soul.
Joy carries with her the energy of purity, joyous love, gentle power, tenderness, serene wisdom, and childlike laughter and wonder.
She is also a beautiful integration of energies, which she embodies so gracefully.
Joy is a powerful soul that constantly gives of herself to the higher collective good, works with the magickal realms, has a 6th sense like nobody’s business, is a channel between Earth and Cosmos, and shares her love and support with me without limit.
She is my daily companion who sprinkles the enchantment and power she embodies into everything we create together, which is everything in my life.
And, she is a literal and symbolic representation of this integration life for me, and reflects the processes that I have been journeying to embody.
All of my companions have been this for me, and continue to, even from beyond the Earth plane.
But today I honor Joy.
She is Christmas Eve.
She embodies the magick.
She is pure alchemy incarnate.
And every day I love her more.

I have always had a soft spot for the Christmas season…the colorful twinkling lights, decorations, smells, trees, magickal animals, elves, Santa, snow, cozy fires, glowing candles, bright stars and starry nights, and LOVE abound! It’s one of those times that reminds us of connecting with our inner child, to dream and believe, to see through eyes and hearts of wonder, share our love with everyone in peace and harmony, and recognize the beauty in and around us.

Like both Amanda and Laura felt, I concur that this is a must-share, and hopefully must-read for anyone truly wanting now-relevant and extremely potent insights on embodying the real magick. Become A Conscious Alchemist
With today’s Full Moon in Virgo (Sun in Pisces) illuminating things into our conscious day-to-day experience, we have the ability to bring balance and synergy to both the spiritual (imaginative/dreamy/watery Pisces) and practical (discerning/disciplined/earthy Virgo). This can assist us in integrating the energy (utilizing all of our Chakras) so that we harness our manifestation abilities with heart-full clarity, in service to the highest good of all. Creative Manifestation at its best!
Coming into this Earth plane of existence entails a synthesizing of subtle and more dense energies. We are influenced by vibrational energies that can take adjusting to, when we drop into physical form. And coming from a multi-dimensional experience, this offers a wide experiential array of possibilities, as well as possible challenges if we get stuck in the collective unconsciousness that the dense reality can generate in many – weighing more heavily on the ability of some to expand into remembering their divinity and potentials.
It takes an incredible amount of focus, courage, and commitment to keep your faculties about you so that you can foster a consistent level of awareness and presence while you are moving through the enormous and varied field of energetic vibrations that are abound. It can be challenging to maintain your own energetic experience – personal frequency, as the tendency is to match vibrations that trigger some conditioning within us. Since everything is a vibration of energy, like attracts like.
And with energetic magnetic forces, expressing as charged vibrations/particles such as solar flares and gamma rays we are being showered with, everyone is getting an extra bombardment of galactic gifts that are influencing humanity’s consciousness evolution. And these also will have varied and relative influences on each individual, resulting in a variety of shifts on any or all levels of experience, in response to the geomagnetic and electromagnetic forces.
This is resulting in DNA shifts and activations in the genetic codes, know it or not, where the physical body is experiencing dynamic transformation in chemical, accelerated changes towards higher frequency vibrations. And this is enabling many, who may have not consciously experienced things like energy, to suddenly start sensing things on a whole new level than they have, or to experience the growing pains of this recalibration.
All of this to remind us that we are simultaneously a unique self, as well as a multidimensional being of Oneness. And it is happening whether you are aware of it and welcome it, or not.
This is the cosmic alchemy of humanity and Earth that is unfolding into a crystalline transformation.
And this can present fears and the tendency to block what is happening, which ultimately can result in challenge. It is each individual’s choice as to how you want to ride the change and there is no wrong or right way. However, if you would like to take a more active role and perhaps are not happy with the experiences you are having, then you could choose to engage the process more actively.
This is where becoming a conscious alchemist comes into play. We can each choose to engage our daily processes to the degree we are willing to and/or are ready for.
As today’s Full Moon brings the awareness of harmonizing our physical and spiritual in partnership, we can remember that this is available to us at all times and will result in optimizing our experiences when we dance in this balance. Utilizing the gifts we have, on all levels, is what lays dormant within us to unwrap and utilize. We embody everything we need, as multidimensional beings, yet these keys within us have not be remembered and awakened. Part of this is what is taking place with the solar flares and such, and the other part is our willingness to activate to the level of acceleration being presented.
You can do this by engaging yourself courageously to face and work with the limiting beliefs, old stories and patterns, and unresolved feelings you have, as every time you shift and transform an old, limitation, every cell responds with illuminating activation. The more you can do so each day, this will begin to release the constrictions that cause challenges because of the inner turmoil and fight against the shifts that are inevitably taking place. And when more of you lights up in greater, conscious experience of your wholeness, the more you are able to access your instant manifestation abilities to co-create your world with creative love and empowerment.
And when you engage yourself with more conscious empowerment of all of your parts, and realize that when you open these parts that you also release the divine blueprint keys that activate the alchemist you are at the heart of hearts, you then become a portal for change, yourself. And as you embrace the embodiment of this with more consciousness, you directly support others to be able to more easily do the same.
So, as the Full Moon illuminates the sky today, imagine yourself inviting more of that conscious and illuminating light energy into every fiber of your being. Invite a partnership of awareness with your body – remember that we are here for a reason and it’s not about leaving the physical body and experience behind, as we try to “ascend”.
When we realize that this is an experience of integration and that all of our parts working together creates the miracles that we innately are, then we will come to experience the consistency of alchemy and manifestation, rather than the bursts of it that we access intermittently.
It truly is a mirror of the butterfly, when we let go of a myopic view and step into the metamorphosis that encompasses an expanded view.
These times can actually be viewed as necessary to enable humanity as a whole to transform into a comprehension of the truth of our oneness with each other and with all of Creation.
Lemuria, Creative Empowerment, & Purity of Heart – Guest Blog by Denise Sheehan & Words From Me

Today I’m sharing a combined post that comes through the Sage Spirit Portal blending both a piece from my dear friend and co-creator of conscious evolution, Denise Sheehan, and a short piece from yours truly.
Denise is a conscious evolution coach, Shaman, Conscious Channel for Socha, and fellow Reiki Master Teacher (in fact we trained together under our beautiful RMT, Laura Bruno. All three of us used to live in the Reno/Tahoe area and on visits to see my family in Reno I still get to see Denise, which is always a treat. You may remember Denise from the guest blog I posted by her, “The Shift: What on Earth is Going On?”.
I was just reading and listening to Denise’s most recent post, Journey to Lemuria, and it was filled with such a gentle, loving and expansive energy that it felt like a beautiful and sweet piece to share for anyone wanting to be in that heart space today and feel a glimpse of Lemuria through the hearts of Denise, her partner Dana, and Socha – the star essence they both channel. Included in her post is a video of Denise and Dana.
Conscious channeling is actually a topic I’ve been wanting to share a bit more of at a later date, so this is a good little intro for that exploration to come.
The other piece, as I shared, is a short one by me that Denise blogged as a guest post just yesterday. It’s something I shared on Facebook, but not here (as I share a lot of material there that doesn’t get to my blog). So I thought you might enjoy reading it if you aren’t in the Facebook world. A Second “Twin” Star of David Portal – August 25th, 2013
You may remember the post from July 29th I shared on the Star of David – Merkaba – Grand Sextile Portal which had profound effect for everyone and was a time to really tune in and harness that heart intention that would be amplified.
Well, this Sunday, August 25th, there is going to be a second “twin” Star of David creating what is being called a “Peace Portal”.
So, what does this mean? Well, it’s yet another energetic doorway to harnessing intentional peace within our hearts – sounds like something good to do every moment of each day, right?
But truth be told, it is easy to get pulled in different directions and not take advantage of the chance to do that daily in a way that would truly shift your experience.
So, if this is the case for you, no reason to be angry that you may get off track now and then – just simply forgive yourself and focus on the now moment.
For people who may not feel they can always take time out in sacred space with themselves, perhaps these energetic doorways are the few, but potent, times you do, to support major shifts.
This is a very opportune time on the 25th, and the time leading up to and around it, to really amplify together in heart from the core, out. It’s a beautiful and empowering alignment of energies that will support you and the collective, in profound ways, if you DO actually take the time to really hone in on tuning in to your feelings, releasing fears, creating heart-full intentions, standing in your authenticity, bearing your heart in courageous vulnerability, professing your peaceful intentions, and walking in the groundedness of that harmonic balance from within.
You may be noticing how, as things have been releasing that you are gaining more clarity, are more consistently feeling in the vortex of flow, how things are magically taking place with little to no effort, come about by simply being aligned in your heart and merely just whispering a desire from that space, and are materializing in profound ways.
No longer are the days of just dreaming…everything is coming to be, especially if you have been conscientiously doing the work. You may find greater recognition is revealed to you about the new you are moving into, as well as experience how everything is in Divine perfection beyond what your mind need know how to explain. 🙂
And you may also find that a lot you thought you were done with is coming to light, as you recalibrate into the new, which no longer has room to store that baggage.

Star of David – Merkaba – Grand Sextile Portal July 29th 2013
Here we are at the portal that I posted about on the 14th – This is the Big One We’ve All Been Waiting For. Today is the Grand Sextile where the “Mystic Merkaba” formed by two Grand Trines will have profound effect for those who consciously use their awareness to harness the energy.
Take some time out today to tune in to your heart, be extremely present and mindful of your intents, thoughts, and feelings, surround yourself with supportive energy, and release all fears and the old.
Whatever you put out there will be amplified and the more aligned you are in universal heart that takes into account the collective, the more you will find all of your own needs/intents met on an individual basis as well. So beam out your loving intents for the highest good of all concerned and watch things amplify.
The Merkaba/Star Tetrahedron/Star of David is an integrative symbol that bridges all duality – feminine and masculine, heaven and earth, time and space, physical and spiritual, you and others, creating the “as above, so below” unification in the now moment.
It is the key to humanity’s evolution as luminous beings of the “One”.
This is a time to be honest with yourself and to value intuition as much as intellect and reason, realizing how they can work in unification together and as so, are far more powerful. All parts are important and valuable. We just need to learn to utilize them in the perfect balance that then creates alchemy in our lives. Honor and embrace all of your parts and feelings. Confront your fears, blocks and turn back around to face what you have repressed in order to integrate your shadows. Pour out forgiveness and realize that what you are resisting is the doorway to greater intimacy of experience.
This Sextile is a gateway to imagining and creating what you want. Any reality you desire, you can choose to experience no matter what is going on around you or what other’s realities are. The more of us that choose to focus on a more harmonious and abundant reality, the more we will create that collectively as well.
Today is a wonderful opportunity to meditate, focus intentions, do Reiki healing attunements, work with crystals, write in a journal, take a walk in nature to tune in and out….anything that really gets you present and still in your heart to be in your greatest power as an integrated being.

Star of David – Merkaba – Grand Sextile Portal on July 29th 2013

My Personal Alchemy of Creative Expression – Symbolism of the Leo New Moon
Change is a constant in life that is easier when we flow with it rather than fight it. And for those that know me, it is a continually, pretty dramatic constant in mine indeed. I’m a creature of symbolism and live a symbolic life. I’m also a visionary artist and thrive on creative expression and finding ways to imbue energy, feelings and alchemy into and through what I create.
My sacred and symbolic body art
That is no surprise, if you’ve seen my tattoos and read my book, Spiritual Skin, or if you follow this blog and have seen any of my paintings or sacred tattoo designs. I pay attention to signs, I experience synchronicity, I find joy in walking the magick path, and I channel and express everything in symbolic and creatively loving ways whether on my person, in my personal environment and sacred space, or through my work. Creativity is a magical and powerful energy that is vital to exercise and cultivate through love.
I often share of the transformations and shifts I go through very publicly and vulnerably, as I feel experiences shared can assist others in ways we are not even aware at just the right moment needed. Following and encouraging our hearts to be open allows us to connect so deeply with others we may never meet, simply by creating energetic doorways.
I’ve been experiencing another huge shift lately that feels so lovely in gentle, soul caressing ways, even though some of the outer expressions of that may seem abrupt or dramatic to others. Or maybe they won’t, since everything seems to be in much more natural flow these days, but either way, it’s a joyous time and an empowering time and life continues to get more magickal and amazing to me.
I’ve recently shared about new tattoos I’ve gotten and will be here shortly, healings that have taken place, and in general, new phases of my work being revealed and the expressions of them shifting in process as well, along with a lot of new perceptions on everything in my life – and integrating how that manifests. I also shared recently about physical changes, as in going back to 90% + high raw vegan, cleaning out and restructuring my closet and wardrobe (a really fun and cleansing thing for me), shifting around my personal space, and hinting at a new hair change, which entails lightening and empowering myself with short locks (cutting likely what will be just over 13″ off)! Yay! And all of these changes will continue, as that is life…an ever-evolving experience of loving, co-creation.
But back to my hair, which excites me in the symbolism and extra liberating energy I feel it is about to assist in ushering in, along with an authenticity that mirrors me currently. Usually when I get a hit on something, an epiphany, an idea, or whatever you want to call it, and it clicks, there’s no hesitation. I just do it. Of course I make sure it is aligned with what I feel to be most honoring of myself, but I don’t wait around to allow any nerves, fears or over-analyzing to kick in and take over. That isn’t to mean I don’t address things with discernment, but I don’t feed the unauthentic parts of myself with any more than embracing they are there, allowing what they bring up to move through me, thanking them for what they have shown me, and releasing them back to where they came from and empowering what I know to be me. There are times when I just channel something and I know it’s what I feel drawn to as my truth, regardless of whether or not I understand the whys yet, as I receive things sometimes way before the rest catches up. In which case, I also will follow that strong nudge. But this time, even though I had to wait about four weeks (less than the almost 6 it would have been) from onset of my getting the nudge, I knew there was power in waiting and I can see how everything in between has really been instrumental to what is being alchemized into creation.
I already had a regular hair trimming appointment scheduled, but the date felt so long off, and suddenly I felt to look at when the New or Full Moon was approaching, as I remember once a friend of mine had shared about how it was good to cut your hair on and around those times, for maximum benefit to hair – and stylists seem to agree saying that trimming or cutting your hair when the moon is just entering a New Moon phase will perpetuate hair growth.
Later I realized how it aligned the energy also to you as a whole and what you are creating, as the astrological influences surrounding the Moon phases will have a personal and collective effect. I’ve sometimes made my appointments around these times, but not consistently. However, since I had the nudge, this time felt important to look at doing that again especially feeling the potency of things currently and what I’m looking to create. Originally my appointment was for the 28th, which was between the Full Moon of Pisces on the 31st (the Blue Moon) and the New Moon of Leo on the 17th. I felt drawn to both and both would indeed carry their own great energy, but my gut went with the Leo New Moon and that day approaches this Friday.
Ute York – a hairstylist who worked according to the moon phases for 15 years – shares this in his book, Living By The Moon:
Hair is an energy carrier. Hair is as sensitive as it’s owner and needs a certain vibration in order to feel well.
In order to promote faster growing hair, it’s better to cut it around the time of the New Moon Phase. And, in order to promote thicker and fuller hair, it needs to be cut during the Full Moon Phase.
If the ends are trimmed on these 2 days, it will continue growing without impedence.
He has found that when men regularly get hair cut with the moon in the sign of Leo, their hair improves and becomes stronger. (this likely works for women too)
American astrologer Linda Goodman says if you want your hair short then continue cutting during the Full Moon; it will not grow back as fast. However if you want it to grow back quickly, trim regularly at the New Moon, even just a tiny bit. Then you will realize your hair is growing much faster.

I’m loving the energy evolution of new designs that are channeling through. The more courageously vulnerable people are in sharing with me, the more effervescent the co-creative channel between us for flowing inspiration!
For this latest piece, a few things really stood out to me energetically from my client’s sharing, which resulted in what ended up coming through while designing. I always hone in on what would be most empowering and how can it effectively be symbolically and artistically designed to capture that very essence needed.
So this latest sacred tattoo design I created is intended to go over the back of their neck (mirroring the pit of their throat) so it lies at the upper back area and flows out and down slightly in its graceful flow to the sides, sort of energetically framing the way the shoulders begin in curvature. I incorporated the Throat Chakra symbol and energy this time and saw how I could transpose a Peacock utilizing part of it and then flowing out from it. As some know, the Throat Chakra is how you express yourself to the world and to have it strong and healthy is signified by how openly and honestly you express yourself. Empowering it supports courageous, vulnerable and authentic creative self-expression – your voice in the world, unique to you. It aids the flow and openness of communication, telepathy, and creative expression with clear and uninhibited emotions so the energy center remains unblocked and unrestricted, allowing you to bring forth your innate, unique inner truth and beauty to the world through the gifts you have to share. It allows also for you to be humble, open, and receptive to others’ uniqueness simultaneously. I felt that this focus of empowering the truth of my client’s inner voice would help guide them in aligning their actions in accord with the times. This will help them to express themselves more and more fully, as they desired, and to back it up with their authenticity of courageous self-expression without judgment or fear. A way to also “eat life” through the energy exchange of this center in giving out and receiving as they communicate their gifts in joyous voice to the world. It will also aid and promote clarity.
The Peacock was something they were drawn to and it felt appropriate for them and this design, as the Peacock is a possessor of some of the most admired human characteristics, and is a symbol of integrity and the beauty you can achieve when you endeavor to show your true colors. So it empowers the theme of my client’s authentic, creative self-expression. They say to contemplate the powers of the Peacock when you need more vibrancy and vitality in your experience. The Peacock can also help you on your spiritual path, and breathe new life into your walk of faith. The Peacock can rejuvenate self-esteem levels too and revive from that “blah” and blue feeling – just imagine the glorious, techno-color display the Peacock provides. So the Peacock helps support you in embracing your own nobility – again a great partnering energy with the Throat Chakra energy of courageous, authentic, creative self-expression. Peacocks also represent: glory, vision, royalty, spirituality, awakening, immortality, refinement, incorruptibility.
My client was also drawn to Mehndi inspired designs, but with more flow and less blocky-ness or primitive feel. So the design I was inspired to create to really emanate out the beauty of their personal self-expressive center is a flowing and graceful design with Mehndi influence. It includes the Peacock and I wanted to also incorporate the elemental and sort of alchemical connection they have with herbs – particularly Alchemilla that they have a strong relationship with. I incorporated five of these (mirroring the energy of the 5th Throat Chakra) around the design. Five signifying change and transformative ability, as well as versatility and flexibility, as the Throat Chakra is also the energy center for change and removing resistances to flowing with the new. I love the reference of this lovely medicinal herb as genus “Alchemilla” that comes from Arabic Alkemelych (alchemy) meaning “little magical one”.
I feel there is a good balance of earth and spirituality energies in the “alchemy” of this sacred tattoo for my client that integrates as it empowers, within and without. The flow of the design, if you follow it, is almost spiraling, as well, which is like creating a living symbol that is moving the energy of this chakra – keeping it flowing and stimulated, abundantly lush and in full bloom. There is an organic, yet refined quality simultaneously imbued in the design too.
