The Heart of First Matter – Cosmic Alchemy in a Sacred Tattoo

New Sacred Tattoo Design by Tania Marie

Today I’d like to share an interesting journey that led me to an answer and some cool unfoldings and new discoveries. Every now and then I like to share the stories behind some of the creations that channel through, as they hold some cool synchronous messages, as well as shed interesting light on supportive information that can be of benefit to others.

I was commissioned to do a custom sacred tattoo design by a very magickal client near the end of January. This client found me by divine connection, had never wanted or even had any tattoos until now, and provided no instruction saying they were leaving it up to my guides and theirs for this creation to manifest – basically stating the belief it was an attunement process for both of us and I’d know when to start and would be guided through it now that the connection had been made.

I so loved the openness to this magickal flow that was initiated and felt an extremely deep honor in being part of the energetic co-creation.

As instructed, I let myself be guided as to when I’d start, as if I tried to start when timing wasn’t ready, I came against huge blocks, was pulled everywhere else but to focus on the design, and felt unmotivated. So I honored the trust and opening and let things percolate in the background.

When timing felt ready I began- first allowing to listen, I also started following some energetic leads of things I was sensing in research to see where things lead, and then asking for inspiration in meditation for an image.

I then saw in my mind’s eye this image that I’d drawn five years ago right before embarking on my second trip to Egypt – this one for a 9-9-9 event – 9/9/2007. I received the image in a dream, which involved a man I had not met in this life yet, but ended up being on the trip, which I drew when I awoke. I brought it with me to Egypt and showed a few people to see if anyone knew what it meant or if it had any meaning at all. I was hopeful that since these people were highly enlightened individuals, all with unique spiritual gifts, we’d be bound to discover some meaning. But, nobody knew what the symbol was, although found it interesting. I kept it in my Egypt notebook I’d taken notes in from that trip and hadn’t looked at it until I was prompted from this nudge.

I put it aside, as at first I wasn’t getting the connection since I didn’t have any idea what the symbol was. So I continued my researching of other nudges. I then suddenly stumbled upon a symbol that looked very similar to mine, while perusing other info and symbols. I started reading about it and following other threads leading me to more similar images and information that finally was revealing to me what I had stumbled upon in my own unique way.

The symbol information and others’ depictions of it was supporting the image I had drawn that basically held the same characteristics and energy. The symbol is called First Matter or The Prima Materia – The One Thing. Some also refer to it as Chaos (or Chaostar) or Earth of Paradise. Sometimes depicted as the ouroboros and even sometimes as two dueling dragons at each other’s throats, releasing inherent male and female energies through the shared blood – similar to the Yin/Yang symbol. To me, it also could be similar to Hunab Ku – The Galactic Butterfly.

Some explain the essence of the First Matter, which is chaos, as seeming to evoke octal or octagon imagery. For alchemists, chaos is the First Matter and the source of all transformative energy. This eight-pointed star (the “Chaostar”) is symbolic of the chaos and power of the First Matter, which captures within its design the fractal concept of “order within chaos.

“…the first matter, as the origin of all things which exist, must be found prior to the division of the universe into the duality of mind and matter.”

I took my original symbol I’d drawn five years ago and fused it with new, potent energy I felt guided and inspired to incorporate to create a portal symbol of this energy for my client in the now. I felt, for several reasons, guided to encircle the symbol with an artistic rendering of two dragons connected as a unified essence in that Yin/Yang, Oneness-nature, minus the dueling energy. Instead, I had them energetically “holding” the energy of the symbol between them, representing alchemical magick within our ability to masterfully co-create. The essence of the idea that even though something seems chaotic and operating outside our control, there is a harmonious order that is within our grasp when we unify our parts. I felt that each represented the empowered male and female circling continuously in harmony. The image came to birthing conclusion on yesterday’s Pisces New Moon.

My client was right. This would be an attunement process for us both, revealing some interesting things. The journey in creating this piece is also VERY mirroring for me. It unlocked some hidden wisdom that supports my “now” experience of  this “order within chaos” concept as source for transmutation and transformative integration to wholeness. A little lesson in spiritual alchemy and how to perceive things through a different lens of divine perfection for what is in manifestation, regardless of how it appears. As always, symbolism will speak to each person in relative ways.

The alchemists believed that no transformation—whether in the laboratory, in the body, or in the soul—could succeed without the presence of a mysterious ingredient known as the Materia Prima (First Matter).

I love the cohesive threads that unfold when we heed the nudges.

The Alchemy of Living – Birthing Your Own Golden Egg

Robin Wood's Magician Tarot Card

Alchemy is a word that keeps popping up recently for me and I’m seeing that this truly is a time for some magickal and creative alchemy. I always see a pattern with recurring themes that cycle around. This is definitely a time for empowered living and becoming masterful at transmutation, more than ever, and that means “taking back our power” along with responsible compassion, wise discernment, aligning/surrounding yourself with the highest-vibe, resonating elements in and around you, and activating a little creative alchemy by learning how to shift and integrate things so we can turn what we have into “gold.”

Alchemists searched to discover magical substances to turn lead into gold, cure disease, and extend life. We all need to believe in a bit of magick, yet the elixir of life is simply believing in you.

Think of alchemy as a magical process to change seemingly “nothing” things or seemingly unrelated and not as favorable things into something amazing.

You become the masterful magician (like the Magician Tarot Card) of the elements and interweave them to create magick!

The definition of alchemy is:

1) a medieval chemical science and speculative philsophy aiming to achieve the transmutation of the base metals into gold, the discovery of a universal cure for disease, and the discovery of a means of indefinitely prolonging life

2) a power of process of transforming something common into something special

3) an inexplicable or mysterious transmuting

Basically, a process by which paradoxical results are achieved or incompatible elements combined with no obvious rational explanation – and the end result is your intents achieved in manifesting your personal “golden egg.”

I have been working with transmuting the elements in my own life a lot lately, which includes taking unfavorable things and experiences in my life and shifting perspectives for instant magickal relief, balancing and empowerment, utilizing all of the elements and ingredients/gifts I have available to create a refined recipe for my desired manifestations and even creating a very magickal vision board I kept getting nudges to materialize, as well as crystal elixirs. I am loving my super rockin’ vision board, which I did a magickal activation ceremony with just last night.
I created a double sided board about 22″ x 28″, with one side that was white and the other black for that yin, yang balance and integration. I made it as a mirror reflection of internal essence yin and external essence yang, but with integration on both sides and then as a whole in its entirety – this actually happened intuitively while in process and wasn’t something I had set out to do, but like with everything when we just flow, things all magickally fall into place. It was quite the process, but it unfolded perfectly and everything I cut out and put on, was exactly the right amount to fill the board without me even having to leave anything out or try to figure out what I needed. I just let myself be guided to the images and words that were pin-pointedly focused on the essence and specifics I want to create in my life. I can now work with the entire board, or focus on one side of the mirror that reflects my inner authenticity. The way it is, is that both partner in supportive energy with the other while simultaneously one helps achieve the other. A little vision board alchemy fun indeed!
It’s definitely a great way to put energy focus towards what you want to create while working with the essence of your intents, which helps draw in the mirroring energy to you. I always add this favorite line of mine to everything (which is on my board), “This or something better now manifests for me in totally satisfying and harmonious ways for the highest good of all concerned,” as we don’t want to limit ourselves to what we may not be able to see as potential and grander things than we are asking for and we always want to be aligned with the collective so that what we create is of value and benefit for everyone.
Along with empowering myself in this way, taking control of my life and being an active partner in the creation of what I want to manifest, I have been working on cutting chords, creating energetic boundaries, using more and more wise discernment, shifting my processes to a more balanced, flowing and easy perspective, truly listening to, and following, my gut instincts and intuition – that first voice/feeling I get – and taking responsibly compassionate steps towards grace (that sometimes involve the kind of  powerful, truth seeking love that Kali has in circumstances where needed) while not enabling others in unhealthy ways, as I take back my own power and act from a big picture conscious way. I always loved this article by Laura Bruno about Kali’s ability to bring us to our authenticity: Lessons from Kali
There are many things we can do to create what we want. The question is, how important is it to you to really have your intents? Knowing things, understanding things and saying it are great first steps, but if you really want something or want something to change, at any moment you have the ability to shift a perspective or put to practice what you preach – now is the time for activating the alchemy of your life. I sure am heeding these nudges in my own life, as I recently keep getting the same experiences a-knocking at my door. Rather than continue to fight them or give my power away to something, I can stand still in my golden silence, magician neutrality and shift perspectives that instantly alter the experience.

Magician Tarot Card Rendition by artist Patipat Asavasena - love this

I’ll leave you with another inspiring story from Laura Bruno‘s recent post “How Much Do You Want What You Want?”  recently posted on her blog that included this little excerpt she shared from page 119 of Dr. Joseph Murphy’s book, “The Power of Your Subconscious Mind”:

How Much Do You Want What You Want?”

“A young man asked Socrates how he could get wisdom. Socrates replied, ‘Come with me.’ He took the lad to a river, pushed the boy’s head under the water, held it there until the boy was gasping for air, then relaxed and released his head. When the boy regained his composure, he asked him, ‘What did you desire most when you were under water?’

“‘I wanted air,’ said the boy.

“Socrates said to him, ‘When you want wisdom as much as you wanted air when you were immersed in the water, you will receive it.’

“Likewise, when you really have an intense desire to overcome any block in your life, and you come to a clear-cut decision that there is a way out, and that is the course you wish to follow, then victory and triumph are assured.

“If you really want peace of mind and inner calm, you will get it. Regardless of how unjustly you have been treated, or how unfair the boss has been, or what a mean scoundrel someone has proved to be, all this makes no difference to you when you awaken to your mental and spiritual powers. You know what you want, and you will definitely refuse to let the thieves (thoughts) of hatred, anger, hostility, and ill will rob you of peace, harmony, health, and happiness. You cease to become upset by people, conditions, news, and events by identifying your thoughts immediately with your aim in life. You aim is peace, health, inspiration, harmony, and abundance. Feel a river of peace flowing through you now. Your thought is the immaterial and invisible power, and you choose to let it bless, inspire, and give you peace.”

Creative Alchemy – A Glimpse of My Story as a Visionary Artist

Many have been interested in my personal experience with my art, what’s behind them and what I feel about visionary art in general, so I felt that a blog with more insight was in good timing to share now, as I know that many visionaries and healers are stepping up and out more and more. So any support I can provide in any way for your experience, I love to share.

What it means to me to be a Visionary Artist

A visionary artist, to me, means an artist who creates from their soul and intuitive connection to the Universe. It is one who not only creates “outside of the box,” but has the ability to see beyond the boundaries of physicality and enculturation, and is able to capture moments of inspired vision and thought, feeling and expression, in a form that reflects something bigger than him or her that speaks in foresight or healing messages to the viewer.

A visionary artist is one that does not buy into the idea of “impossible” and reflects the miracle in knowing that what you can see and feel in your heart, “is possible.” They mirror a vision manifested in form that reflects our co-creation potentials.

It also denotes, to me, one that is a dreamer and leads through their innovative visions, feelings, and imaginary foresight of what “can be” if we allow our creative expression and limitlessness to flow freely. Sometimes that involves idealism and fantastical, surreal vision, which in some ways makes a visionary artist somewhat of an inventor or philosopher; teaching, conveying, and expressing profound messages through their gift of art and imagery.

How being a Visionary Artist translates in my life

I have always been called a dreamer and an idealist, of which I apologize for neither. My life is about transforming and shattering the old and the idea of “impossible,” to bring forth the realization that miracles ARE a reality which I create. I am limited only by myself and yet in healing myself I help others to do the same.

We cannot rescue another. The best way to help someone is by being an example of your own life working. The healing waters of our experience create a ripple effect that touches the collective consciousness, one soul at a time, all souls for eternity, simultaneously.

I question everything that has always been and I don’t accept anything until I’ve thoroughly examined it from the perspective of every level of my being. Just because something is “tried and true”, doesn’t mean it’s right, or at least doesn’t mean it’s right for me. Just because that’s the way it’s always been, doesn’t mean it has to, or should even, continue that way.

What I choose to believe and focus on is what I create as my experience. It’s not okay to me to find comfort in the continuum of my pains, thus recreating the same experiences over and over. We are all co-creators of our world and it’s time to harness that power.

We all have a unique light to shine on the world and I celebrate that light within each of us, every time I create. When I heal myself and take courageous steps forward, that energy is available to everyone and vice versa. And so I move forward with conscious effort to choose joy and love.

As a visionary artist, this creative exuberance does not stop short of the creations I channel. I enjoy transforming my physical being, loving to feel like a new person, to match the evolution I go through continually. I have always felt that the inner and outer should reflect each other. Being a very symbolic person, I “create my life as a work of art.” The healing arts I channel provide me the opportunity to express my feelings and visions through different mediums. My canvas is ever changing, as am I. Sometimes it may be my art, other times my designs and writing, and sometimes the canvas is simply me.

“In words” about my life and art

I say “in words” as for me I find words limiting, which makes sense as to why my preferred choice of expression is imagery or through music, movement and telepathy. Those who know me, know that when I write, it is like I’m creating a painting, as my writing comes from the same place that I create from, which then translates into basically communicating as a Pisces (no accident I have Mercury in Pisces). I also tend to write in a different voice than what people experience from me, as it channels from a place I access more readily when I’m in that void space.

That being said, here is a little insight into my process and thoughts on my life and art for a little more intimate look.

To me, there is no separation between my life and my work. Everything I do is an extension of my heart’s passions and my soul’s drive and therefore everything for me, now, boils down to simply being a choice of my joy. And while life can be challenging, it can also be quite magical. That’s the beautiful thing, that it’s all so individual. Everyone resonates with something different. That is life and art for you – ever unique and ever relative. My experiences with things are interesting and complex, but where my art is concerned, it comes from a channeling through my higher heart.

In the past I had a much more involved process, as the paintings I was creating (in particular the 5 In Lak’ech pieces) were weaving an encoded, story-like, hieroglyphic imagery. Every single detail is filled with potent symbolism. The images would first come to me through channeled vision and inspiration and then reiterate through research of the ancient civilization, symbols, and information I receive, which was an amazing process. It’s a very cool Universal nudge for me in trusting what I receive, first, and then later discovering the substantiations my logical mind did not know. This is something I continue to practice in all areas of my life so that it becomes second nature to integrate intuition with knowingness and thought.

My processes now are very different, which mirror the current “speeding up” times of collective shifting and my own personal evolution. Now I simply access different essence messages, just like a writer, speaker or channeler would and share them through heart-created images that hold an entire story or message with a seemingly simple thumb print. Each still holding a collective healing message, encoded with essence and symbolism, yet rather than a more hieroglyphic, pieced-together process (which took me months and sometimes a year), the message is embedded in the totality of the feeling essence the viewer experiences from the painting and no decoding is necessary. Not that you had to decode before, as the pieces were created as activators, but there was always a tendency for the viewer to piece together and want to understand and “read” the paintings. Now, instant activation takes place and no need to “read,” – only to experience, as I’ve learned to take all the integral pieces and blend them into one integrated creation from the heart.

And that is where my creations come from. My work is created for and by the heart and allows one to feel and listen inwardly. They are filled with symbolisms and are healing portals with visual stories to behold. I am guided by the collective and through my own personal processes and unfoldings, as to the timing and the images that are channeled through. When I create I am “seeing” with different eyes….seeing the energy and essence of things, rather than how they appear in 3D.

My paintings contain encodings that are being imbued in my art as healing messages one can feel and hear with their soul. I also love color and play with color combinations that are truly stunning and unpredictable, and never enjoy painting things as they are “perceived” to be. I paint them how they “feel” to be and capture the true essence of how the images/life forms would like to be represented. I never know how I am going to create something until the moment I do. When I let go, it just flows divinely.

There are many layers to how and what I paint and so I choose not to disclose the full stories that are revealed to me in creating them, but to allow each person to write their own story when viewing these portals of experience. I don’t like words or the mind to get in the way of the “experience,” as we can get caught up in that space and lose out on the bigger picture. I’ve always been a creative, artistic, dreamy and imaginative child at heart and visions and imagery were a way I found to communicate a world of emotions and messages that were limited through the simple use of words. My paintings are mirrors into your soul and are bigger than me – a collective collaboration indeed!

My Inspirations

I am inspired by my dreams, visions, and the things I have learned and experienced in my life and beyond. I receive the images for my paintings through stillness and channeled messages. This comes sometimes as a flash of inspiration, as a vision, through my dreams, as a result of transformations and healing I move through in my own life , and especially from listening to moving and inspiring music or seeing, hearing, or experiencing something profound. I am also inspired by my travels, nature, my connection to the Universe, the healing and evolvement I move through with the support of those around me, and especially by my dearest little ones… my rabbit, Nestor (whom recently transitioned) my tortoise, Gaia, and my current bunny love, Joy who is now physically in my life via connection from Nestor ~ all three of whom keep me present in my heart, grounded, inspire strength and faith, and remind me to stay balanced and connected, not to mention provide me with loving connection daily.

My paintings are alive (“living art”) and embedded with encoded healing messages, as well as imbued with Reiki. They reflect not only a personal process, but a collective process that channels through me as I create them, which is why they are created in their own timing and reflect something bigger than the artist who has created them. They are meditation tools that speak to the individual in the way they are meant to receive the message. They are visual stories and provide a space for one to have a total experience, which is why I have experienced people sitting with them for long periods, as they receive their healing and opening.

One most profound experience was seeing a young man at Raw Spirit Festival in Sedona, where I had my art, come and “be” with one of the In Lak’ech painting, “Air,” and he sat and connected, as streams of tears rolled down his eyes. It was one of those special moments to feel the connection taking place through what is being facilitated through my work. I also love when people share exactly the message and meaning of things in the paintings, without me saying a word. That is much more profound than me writing up a bio of each creation and putting words in peoples’ mouths.

To have the telepathic message transferred through the paintings is a beautiful process that healing arts of the now can facilitate more consciously. Art becomes a conduit for large concepts, to be able to be conveyed without all the words that can sometimes create differing interpretations. It’s like me being able to project a snap shot of my visions from the projector screen of my heart and third eye onto a blank canvas that then embodies the totality of the essence in limitless form. And being that creative expression is unlimited, there can be countless essence images to impart.

This is part of why I’ve decided not to make prints available on most of the new paintings I create. In order to keep me in that continuous flow of creative abundance and unlimited ability to express myself in different ways. Each piece now becomes a special message needed for a certain individual or group that is drawn to it. So I feel myself tapping into the collective and also into a particular thread within the collective that will be assisted with the painting and the result of the experience shift will then affect what the collective needs.

My “Training”

My training with art is “experience.” Whatever I see in my heart and mind, I believe possible to create. And so I just allow it to happen and unfold on the canvas. With continued practice of this “allowing,” I have discovered my own hidden talents and developed a style unique to me.

I have no formal art training or schooling and never had an interest in such, as I’ve always wanted to keep the creative flow and expression that channels through me, as pure, authentic, and raw as it is meant to be, without trying to create a box it “should” fit in. I have enough things in my life that I manage, organize, and structure, so I enjoy allowing my art to be one of my flowing outlets.

To me, my paintings are a mixture of refined and complex with detail, coupled with the natural expression of a creative child. I enjoy that my art doesn’t fit any standards and can’t be compared with anything out there. I associate that with the fact that I opted not to go for formal training and the fact that I don’t spend time studying or viewing the works of other artists, although I celebrate all art and all artistic expression, as I think it is essential to support creativity in all of its forms. I find it to be freeing and healing when one allows themselves to explore their creativity, unencumbered by “standards” and “rules. “ To create authentically and from the heart is the only “rule” I choose to follow.

Art has always been a part of my life. It’s a natural gift I was born with and I have been drawing since I was a little girl. I used to spend my summers during the heat of the day, sitting at the dining room table drawing with my grandfather. Any chance I had I would draw and doodle, usually animals, and enjoyed the freedom of expression it allowed me. I’ve always been a creative, artistic, dreamy and imaginative child at heart and visions and imagery were a way I found to communicate a world of emotions and messages that were limited through the simple use of words.

I dabbled in doing small commissioned pieces in ’95 to ’96, but it wasn’t until 1997 when I moved to Sedona, AZ to do some soul searching and personal growth that I truly started to feel that art might become a part of my life and work in a bigger way. It was always present nudging me, but it took a while to hear the call. It is then that I created my first canvas paintings and was amazed at what came through, given the fact that I’d never painted before in my life. Yet, this was just an opening and timing is always key.

So I continued pursuing other interests while the art remained in my heart to blossom at a future point in time when I was ready for it. That time happened around 2003 when I finally connected that art was my heart’s passion and soul’s path, and quit my very last office job to pursue it and the healing arts, finally and wholeheartedly. I started a custom art business and started doing commissioned pieces for clients. In 2005 I realized that I wanted more creative freedom and that there were some important healing messages that were wanting to come through and so I embarked on a new path where I left my business behind and started creating my own original pieces as part of a five piece series, called In Lak’ech.

These pieces are still to me, very profound in the messages that they were helping to heal at the time of their creation, but that were also ahead of their time in what is currently coming into the process of integrated need now. I always felt they held a bigger purpose that is being revealed more and more. Upon their completion I then moved back into a fully integrated experience of healing arts in totality, which included the services I provide now and brought commissions back into the mix as well.

I continue to allow creative expression to channel through me in whatever way it feels it wants to come through as. I am mindful of the state I am in when I create and stay very conscious about the little energetics of things I feel in order to create from the purest and most flowing place. Creation is a very healing process of birthing life force energy into manifestation – pure alchemy of the soul.

To express and to inspire, to heal and to transform, to expand and to free, these are the reasons I create.

“Like each individual, creativity is uniquely beautiful in all of its forms. We are perfect in our imperfection.” ~ Tania Marie

Crystal Elixirs – Alternative Support for Today’s Light Workers

As I posted yesterday, many of us along this journey of expansion, shifting and re-calibrating into new forms and templates of experience, are going through the processes of integration in order to balance out the inbalances we have created along the way. To read more on this see yesterday’s post:

http://taniamarie.com/2012/01/24/money-physical-well-being-the-abundant-journey-to-center-integrating-it-all-without-any-charge/

Along this process many light workers who have so diligently been expanding and fortifying their gifts, spiritual consciousness and visionary energies, have lost parts of themselves along the way in doing so. The imbalances created and the charges that remain, along with the processing out of any last remnants of old pieces, angers, frustrations, judgments, etc., (which are releasing toxic cleansing) are now what we are faced with integrating so that we can operate optimally and not fragmented.

So as we start our journey towards this centering integration to natural harmony with all of our parts, each other and the earth and cosmos, different modalities, tools, and new perspectives become increasingly more useful to the DNA restructuring that has taken place. Many may be experiencing blow outs or increased healing crises at this time and may find that the old ways that used to work in helping to heal, no longer are, and alternative ways of nurturing support more aligned with our current energy may be of more benefit now. This is because our bodies are operating at a different frequency and denser things no longer match our new vibrations. The DNA shifts are raising our frequencies and energetics into becoming more crystalline and light form.

It’s not that these alternatives are new, but they may be new to what your usual protocol has been, they may only resonate for you now as opposed to when your body was more dense and could be regulated with resonating matches of that energy, and they are being infused with different energy that matches the now, that was not before.  Our temple bodies need fortifying to match the frequency of our vibrations and to receive the proper rebuilding reflections for the newly created divinity of being we are becoming.

We need very grounded and strong foundations for these new forms we are becoming and creating.

With that being said, I can share from my own experience, the reality of this. Remember, everyone is on their own timeline and stage of their journey, so this is only to share the changes I’ve gone through that might resemble or reflect some of your own. I have found myself naturally gravitating towards things I normally would not have resonated with at the level I do now. New crystals and stones call me now that before I appreciated, but wasn’t working with. Different foods that are grounding and more cooked vegan as opposed to all raw vegan have felt more appropriate for my energy and the balancing needed. Each of these providing the integration from over-expansion in one way. Different shifts with the exercise I was engaging in that feels gentle, balancing and freeing rather than overly extreme, which equates to things like just walking on the beach and easy hikes, biking or simply more time spent with my little lovely animal friends connecting – earthy, peaceful grounding. Focusing on the remnants of any unfinished pieces to really solidify into a strong foundation, based only on the new and not the old, and focus on being, doing and manifesting everything I’ve energetically put focused work into for years, in bigger ways, which includes surpassing any fears that may have previously blocked any of it – in general just showing up always and saying yes and letting the how work itself out in the moment. This equates to knowing that the dress rehearsal was all the behind-the-scenes work and I need only to just pop out on stage with courageously vulnerable readiness and do what I know naturally in my heart to do.

And so came the partnership call I answered to start creating and working with crystal elixirs. Thanks Laura for the nudge! And thank you my crystal friends for your eagerness and joy to always work with me. It’s not that this is a new concept, but in this life I had mostly worked with crystals in their external forms while tuning into their energies they provided for healing and support that they shared, but now the journey would involve things at the essence level and blending things on all levels.  I have been working with crystals a lot, but now we would join forces and start alchemically working our magick on new levels reflecting current energetic needs.

Crystal elixirs, which I like to refer to them as, but many call them gem elixirs, are a means by which we can create essences of the metaphysical properties that the crystals are, through a process that utilizes these as energies in a charged elixir, liquid mixture to our intentions and needs that can be taken internally, applied or sprayed externally on us or in our immediate environment. They are infusions of one or more crystals, spring or distilled water combined with the power of the sun, moon and any other special magickal goodies you feel drawn to incorporate into the process. Since supplements are more dense than my current needs call for, more homeopathic and crystalline essences are much more aligned and of benefit to me right now.

These crystal elixirs are similar to flower essences in the way that they are made so that they contain the “essence” of the vibrations of the chosen crystal and stones that are used. Each crystal and stone holds different metaphysical properties and have energies that work to support and empower different things. You can consult a crystal healing book or research each crystal online to discover their properties and which would be more useful for you and what you are needing support with. I always like to intuit which to use or consult my pendulum for which would be best at this time for me. Usually what you are drawn to on a heart level, not by eye, is revealing as to which crystals would be good for you. But if your intuition isn’t working strongly for you, or quite as up to speed as you’d like right now, you can simply look up the properties and let yourself be guided in trust when something clicks a light bulb or a ding, ding, ding, ding, ding. There is always the option of consulting someone else who can tune in for you too.

These high quality crystal essences work in harmony with the body by interacting with our bio-sheath and chemical and energetic physiology and are natural and self-adjusting. When the crystals are activated by natural sun or moonlight they transfer their vibrational signature into water, creating a safe, effective supportive remedy that can be used in conjunction with, and in complement to, all other healing modalities. They are not meant to replace professional medical advice. They need to be made with only the safest, non-toxic crystals in order to ingest them and can be used with children, pets and plants as well. Externally they can be gently sprayed over the body, in a room, or any space where the energy is needed. They can also be applied to specific body parts or areas needing extra healing or empowerment.

As you consume the elixir over time, the vibrational essences work on the root cause of “dis-ease” to support clearing of the issue that originally created it so that the “dis-ease” can be relieved. They can be made for immediate consumption or can be preserved and used sublingually. The magick is in the choosing, or being chosen by, the most potent crystals for you and the intents and sacredness created around the process, as it is a VERY sacred process indeed and a very special bonding relationship that is created between the crystals and the person helping to alchemically brew and program them. So, the most important part is the crystals from which the essence will be made and there are different ways, as shared, that you can figure this out, including kinesiology testing.

They can be used singly or in cool combinations. Mixing them can really make for some potent elixir magick! This also makes it easier than having to make a lot of separate ones and taking a number of them for the desired results. Again, it’s important they are not water-soluble or toxic – meaning do not contain mercury, arsenic, copper, or other toxic substances. You can look them up in a good mineral guide if in question.

Again, crystal elixirs can be created for immediate consumption, in preserved sublingual form, or into sprays, essential oils, bath, body, or ritual oils, and used for any sacred healing purpose you desire.

I just created a crystal elixir over Sunday’s Aquarius New Moon. First, ritually cleansing my chosen powerhouse blend of crystal friends in a process and then setting them out in the moon and sunlight to take advantage of the powerful igniting energy of this New Moon doorway that is good for planting seeds for the future as an energetic doorway to pull in the things desired to manifest into experience. Aquarius was rocking its unconventionally innovative sparks to the mix. I made a ton of this potent mixture which included: Carnelian, Bloodstone, Citrine, Quartz, Jade, Red and Orange Calcite, Tibetan Turquoise and Rose Quartz. I’ve learned a technique to be able to utilize the energies of toxic crystals so that I can still add them to the mix without adding them to the actual mixture physically, hence leaving out anything harmful in the process. Faery magick always comes in handy 🙂

So, I’m enjoying this elixir, which I’ve shared also with my friend Allison who was in need of similar supportive energy and we are enjoying the process. Everyone is different, so a different dosage may be called for and intuited for each. This was the case for us. I started off drinking a full glass and a half of the unpreserved immediate mixture, at the consulting of my pendulum, and then continue each day with 8 drops, three times a day under the tongue. Allison has been doing 6 drops, five times a day. Allison also made us a crystal spray that we are misting around our spaces as well. Can feel the difference with each dosage and spray. And even in the sacred process of creating the elixir I was in a different space of high vibes as I created them. It is important to be emotionally calm, centered, and in the heart and honoring the relationship with the crystals while going through whatever process with them that feels right. I did a lot of magickal things in my ritual brewing. Fun!

I know that crystal elixirs are exactly the right energy vibrations and modalities to work with right now that reflect and align with me most optimally at this time and are most supportive to the integration process I am in. It’s important to trust your intuition for guidance as to what is best for you. I’m sensing that others would likely gain the same if experiencing similar shifts on their journey. This is why I am looking at creating many more of these to offer others in service, as I feel these would be very supportive. Given my love for and relationship with crystals, this is a natural process for me and one I honor and do not take lightly as a crystal keeper, guardian, and caretaker of the Earth and her children. I look forward to sharing more crystal magick with you.

Patience Creates Magickal Flow – A Return to Natural Harmony

Me with my butterfly friend

Today’s blog post share is a new article I wrote for Mindful Muscle Blog at the request of its Founder, Chris Willitts. Mindful Muscle was created from Chris’s intention to “research meditation and to carefully observe its inherent capacity for personal development, fulfillment, and thriving health,” as well as “introduce other complimentary initiatives that ultimately can lead to a more altruistic society.” I’m grateful for the opportunity to be a part of Mindful Muscle’s focus and for Chris’s interest in my work. This is the second article I was able to share with Mindful Muscle readers. I hope you enjoy:

Joyful Earth Crystals! – New Crystal Companions to Lovingly Support You and the Earth

Reverence and use of crystals goes back to the dawning of civilization and have been
used for centuries for their healing powers. Their connection with specific
parts of the body and its organs come from traditional Western and Eastern
Astrology. 5000+ year old ancient text formulas from India’s Ayurvedic records
and traditional Chinese Medicine claim healing with the use of crystals that
are now used in modern medical prescriptions. The Christian Bible refers to
crystals over 200 times, crystalline structures have been found in the ruins of
Babylonia and in the ancient Egyptian and Chinese tombs of rulers, and many of
the early civilizations of the Earth (Mayan, Aztec, American Indian, African,
Celtic) utilized quartz crystals in sacred ceremonies. These electromagnetic
synthesizers that were once only a royal and priestly experience, are now
a gift available to us all.

Joyful Earth Crystals are pendants created in honor
of Mother Earth and our partnership with her. The name
“Joyful Earth” came from my two dear friends, a Mini Lop-Eared Rabbit
named Joy and a Russian Tortoise named Gaia – Gaia being the Goddess and
embodiment of the Earth. They possess the symbolic and meaningful message
of “The Hare and The Tortoise,” conveying that life is about balance
and recognizing the beauty in everything and integrating opposites to create
harmony. Each possess a different kind of strength we can learn much from by
embracing. As a vegan raw foodist and explorer of ancient and cosmic mysteries,
I celebrate all life and unity consciousness, and convey this love of organic
nature fused with the Cosmos in all that I create. It is important to me
to understand our past in order to create the future in the now, which includes
compassion for our Earth and Universal connection. So in honor of these two
very precious and amazing beings in my life and to celebrate and
embrace a return to natural harmony with the Earth, Joyful Earth Crystals were created.

I intuitively hand-select each crystal and stone for its unique elemental properties, its
“essence” and its empowering ability to help the wearer embrace
and integrate deeper connection with that desired energy, cultivating more of
this energy and drawing it more fully into one’s life and experience. The focus
being on the energies of compassionate embracing and empowered regeneration.
Each piece is lovingly crafted and the designs are channeled
inspirations and visions from the Heart and Spirit. No two pieces are alike and
each is intended to embody a specific energy and designed with the individual (crystal’s keeper/steward) in mind.

Joyful Earth Crystals are beautiful embodiments of raw Earth and Cosmos and make extremely memorable and unique gifts, can be used in meditation, worn as beautiful,
stand-out adornments for that special occasion, or simply worn as
energetic support to help cultivate harmonic balance. To the depth of
one’s choosing, they are meditative and supportive tools that can help one to
harness and discover what lies in the heart and step into empowerment and
better clarity while journeying their path.

Each piece is given a name upon it’s creation, embodies an alchemical process that
blends their energies harmoniously with the divine message they each uniquely
have to share through the visions and hands of their designer and will receive an infusion of Reiki, Love and Intentions upon their initiation into being.

Yes, Joyful Earth Crystal Pendants are back! Four new designs are now available. These are the first of 18 total that will be unveiled as they are birthed. Will post each one separately to give them their own featured space. All of the new designs are unique and one-of-a-kind and will use different metals, as well as design techniques. I work with different metal workers to bring about the visions and energies needed. These four that will be featured in their own posts were a magic fusion of my own and Tracy Partridge Johnson’s energies together. So, they are unique from the last batch of pendants created, as will be the next batch. I love to mix up the energies, mirroring what the crystals and the now call for. Some crystals are in their raw form and others polished. I am guided to work with both and to mix them together for that harmonious balance, as well as to bring together unique combinations that enhance and compliment the energies of the crystals. I ask each crystal what partnership they are drawn to and for them to reveal their name once the solidfying of their energy is complete.

Abundant Love and Magic!

The Rabbit’s Magician ~ Behind the Smoke and Mirrors ~ A Little Alchemy For 2011

Happy Chinese New Year of the Magical Rabbit! As I sit here reflecting on the many things going on for me presently that tie into what rabbit years are about, I’m reminded of the synchronous and timely unfoldings taking place. The Year of the Rabbit holds many positive and supportive energies to be excited about. Look forward to more calm, peace, diplomacy, creativity, artistic expression, developing & birthing new projects, consistent ambition, good communication, solid, steady growth and endurance and luck and ease of financial flow. In honor of the Rabbit and my dear little ones, Nestor (my magical soul mate whom passed 3 years ago and whose birthday was just 2 days ago synchronously) and Joy (my new little lop earred friend and healing companion whom Nestor brought into my life), I’d like to share this article I wrote about how we too can embrace the “magician within”:

Our fascination with “magic” conjures up visions of mystique and intrigue that we seem to long for in our lives. History and stories of lore have mystified and enchanted us, continually tantalizing our desires to quench that unnerving thirst for a bit of the miraculous. Modern day magicians continue their predecessors’ practice of illusionary entertaining, satisfying our need to believe in something more; our need for a bit of mystery and a taste of the exotic. This desire and quest for the power of magic has spanned the ages, leaving us now with aspirations to capture some of that sparkle in the here and now. From the hierophants of ancient Egypt to the alchemists of the Middle Ages, from the Mayan high priests, to the Celtic druids, whether medicine men, sorcerers, or wizards of legend and fairy tale, these workers of wonders and miracles have left their mark beyond the world of their day. And let us not forget the high priestesses and druidesses, prophetesses and witches, medicine women and shamans, and our beautiful fairy queens. Magic has no gender. It also has no boundaries. And yet, who are these magicians, these conjurers of enchantment? Are they truly something for us to dream about and place in awe, as we project an omniscient quality onto that which seemingly is outside of ourselves? Or is there more to this “magician thing” than meets the eye? And what about that rabbit?

Actually, aren’t we all wanting simply to lead more of a so-called “charmed life?” It seems the desire to be magicians of our experiences and masters of our destinies is one we all share. Some people seem to naturally emanate a magical quality and we can see it in that sparkle from their eyes, that glow of an aura they exude, the way whatever they touch in their path seems to light up, almost like pixie dust that traverses any room they enter. And then some of us simply need to realize that if we can see in others such miracles of wonder, then we are closer to it than we think. Those of this nature merely mirror our own inner magician–the one whom we can call upon to cast our own magical spells of enchantment whenever we so choose. We just have yet to realize that magic is simply our innate art of creative power. Recognize it, exercise it, utilize it, and what do you know, “abracadabra,” you have yourself the ingredients for some home-made magic stew!

Speaking of “abracadabra,” let’s turn back the page to our friend the rabbit and the meaning of this most inane word. I think we’ve been missing something. Here is what Magic Words: A Dictionary, by Craig Conley has to say:

“There is profound meaning in the clichéd image of a magician pulling a rabbit out of an empty hat with the magic word abracadabra. The magician is speaking an ancient Hebrew phrase that means ‘I will create with words.’ He is making something out of nothing, echoing that famous line from Genesis: ‘Let there be light, and there was light,’ only in this case the light is a white rabbit and perhaps a flash of fire. The magic word, whether it be abracadabra or another of the magician’s choosing, resonates with the audience because there is an instinctive understanding that words are powerful, creative forces. ‘The word has always held an ancient enchantment for humans,’ says scholar Ted Andrews. ‘It hints of journeys into unseen and unmapped domains.'”

Enough said I think. Magic is a primitive power of creation through whatever means we use. Things take on magical qualities because of the energy we give it and the belief we put behind it. The power of language, personal meanings, and symbols enlighten and inspire us to create pure wonder and awe whenever they are spoken, connected with, or simply seen, worn, or held in our experience. We are the masters of projecting ourselves and our power onto everything around us, not realizing the magic skeleton key to everything we desire was always there within us. That’s not to say we shouldn’t have personal talismans and symbols or enchanting words in our lives. Sometimes the simple joy of that projection can help us to connect more deeply with ourselves and the collective around us, seeing and understanding how we are all so similar, all sharing the experience of the wonder of the world and all the beauty it holds for us each to see in it, the mirror of our own magical essence.

Symbols are beautiful and powerful things. The Egyptians carried amulets and magic figurines and Greeks sought out priests called Oracles. Alchemists searched to discover magical substances to turn lead into gold, cure disease, and extend life. We all need to believe in a bit of magic, yet the elixir of life is simply believing in you.

It is our friend the rabbit who holds all the magician’s answers to his, her, OUR projected magic. And we come to see how the rabbit is the true key to the magician’s power. Embrace and become your own inner rabbit and you too will discover an enchanted world of your own creation.

*Dedicated to, and inspired by, Nestie aka Nestor. Love is magic and I know no greater magic than the love between myself and my very own rabbit, Nestor, who has shown me the meaning of the Rabbit’s Magician and beyond.
