Change is in the Air ~ Online Reiki Classes & Spiraling New Directions
I write this from the Forest Portal’s surprise Spring snow day, again reflecting how things shift moment-to-moment. Yesterday was special because it marked what would have been Cosmo’s (my sweet rabbit boy) fourteenth Earth birthday and on his day, as I do always with all of my dear ones’ special days, we communed through nature. Our adventure hike in Washoe Indian area was a revisit of one we only introduced ourselves to part of a couple of weeks ago for the first time with intention to complete it.
We decided on a picnic hike (above photo in a field of blooming bitterbrush was our chosen rest spot) for the nearly eight miles of exploration, which not only graced us with a solo journey without seeing a human the whole time, but proved my words before we left to be foretelling of the gifts Cosmo would bring forth for us.
I said out loud to Dave, “I wonder what Cosmo will gift us this time? What messages does he have? What animals might we see, what feather might he leave?” Well, the wildly windy day (feeling like 50 mile an hour winds at times) with a mist of faery rain drops keeping us cool, but never wet, spoke of their own purposeful, timely messages and nurturing alongside the unusual sightings.
The only companions were coyote crossing our path with a black tipped tail, raven flying overhead with a snake in its mouth, and a huge pile of the most gorgeous feathers from a Sooty Grouse with peacock tipped iridescence in gold, bronze, green, blue, purple, and pink but no body, bones or blood around – just stunning plumes. Minutes later I found a longer feather you can see pictured below with the others from a different bird – maybe hawk or osprey?
I knew each sighting was a gift and omen that I was to receive from Cosmo so I honored the bird and wrapped the ones I was called to, gently in my shirt. Being an area the Washoe Indians frequented, created extra reverence for this bird, and the gift Cosmo had brought through the Universe to me. Many Plains Indian tribes used to honor these birds with a Grouse Dance. My dance will be a sacred ritual of intention and creation this week onward, lighting each step with newly infused perspective and energy.
The photos don’t do the colors justice when the sunlight hits them, but I was told I’ll be creating something sacred with these at some point and they are a gift for imagining and manifesting that beauty.
They carry a message of personal power, protection, purpose, centering, grounding, harnessing energy for clearly defined goals, the sacred spiral for vision and enlightenment with the Great Mystery, sacred and rhythmic movement and harmonized dance within Earth’s cycles for higher awareness, creation of selfless beauty, ceasing external movement for inner life realization, and new rhythms, teachings, creations, and rituals to lead you into new dimensions.
Once abundant, grouse are now less prolific, but its feathers sure speak to abundance, beauty, and rituals that bridge Cosmos and Earth. This beautiful being somehow feels like an extended hand of clarity and connection to help me integrate the new and bring through what I’ve struggled with expressing.
And lastly, right before the hike ended three very cosmic-like deer crossed our path and just kept watching us without fear. I thought at first they were all female, but one walked out before they leaped gracefully away and it had tiny antlers growing about three inches or so – a boy! I knew right away this was Cosmo, Joy and Nestor – my rabbit soul family has often showed up in deer form when no one else is around.
In Glacier National Park, two cosmic deer had shown up after Joy’s transition – they were Nestor and Joy, as Cosmo was still with us. Yesterday Cosmo joined the girls and their showing up through the portal of unusual energies and signs felt like they were opening a new doorway for me. There may be some twists and turns as things transform, but a promise invites me – both a new one and a reminder of the old one I made. There’s that sacred spiral that grouse speaks of.
Much of the day reminded me of the adventures we had with Cosmo and Joy while in the Magick Bus for 1 1/2 years – similar vistas, memories popping up of favorite places this reminded me of, that in between-worlds energy, nobody else around, similar sightings including grouse and cosmic deer, and strange but interesting weather.
I’m still reflecting on the messages of these signs he sent, as there feels to be a story he’s sharing through them of things upcoming. A spiral dance in motion of bringing me back to center.
I also received clarification yesterday around another change. Cosmo has a very clear way of coming through since he departed on Halloween/Samhain when the veils are thinnest.
Although I won’t regularly be teaching Reiki anymore, it came through that I can and will offer just one class per each level of Reiki this year.
It might be an ongoing, once yearly offering, but for now it’s something I’ve opened to because of the state of things in the world where energetic upgrades would be beneficial, and due to inquiries both spoken and unspoken. I get a lot of messages from people on the energetic levels, so I’m putting this out there in case it speaks to you.

I’ll be opening the Reiki training to online availability only, likely via Zoom, but maybe Skype to only 6 participants for each class.
These will not be starting until August, as I need time to focus on current and new projects, as well as the new changes in my life upcoming that Cosmo is also hinting at and conveying importance in timing of.
I have a very busy few months of client sessions, book cover painting for an author, writing, wedding details, record keeping for our side business, and channeling new information coming through in an anchored way. I feel some large changes on the horizon that my current projects are stepping stones toward, which makes them integral to complete.
So, the page will not have specific dates in the months proposed. That is something I will finalize once I see who actually commits to and confirms their participation, as I will then be able to communicate with the group and customize and optimize days and times for the whole.

Summer 2018 Reiki Workshops
The weather is already warming up here (in the 60’s since Easter), although could snow at a moment’s notice. That’s what I love about mountain life, is the quick changes that take place, mirroring my preferred process. Immersing yourself in nature brings about peace within a person and creates the perfect backdrop and nurturing for Reiki and cultivating an amazing awareness of your own inner self and essence, while providing the channel for accessing your own guidance system.
We are so busy with “stuff” we fill our lives with that we forget to slow down and enjoy the peace of nature.
As mentioned, I am creating two days of Reiki workshops this Summer to help you tune into the nature of you, slow down and step out of life’s madness, while being supported by the beautiful energy of Lake Tahoe and our Forest Portal.
These will be the only opportunities to learn Reiki with me this year. So if it has been speaking to you, 2018 might be the time of profound change you’ve been wanting in your life.
These will be group workshops for locals to the surrounding areas or anyone wanting to travel and enjoy Lake Tahoe’s beauty and magick, while receiving your certification. You could make a weekend of it and use the other day to integrate in nature and allow the natural world to nurture you.
After great deliberation, I’m going to be offering my usual Reiki 1 & 2 Accelerated workshop and a Reiki 3 Master Teacher workshop, as I still feel that the people called to me are ready for bigger leaps and I want to provide the most tools I can to support that. So rather than break up Reiki 1 & 2 into two days, this will provide the needed elements in a fully packed day. It also feels more supportive to any potential travel attendees.
There will be a minimum requirement for the workshops, since I’m only offering this once this year, they are a lot of work to put together and time to put aside, as well as provides a good energy mix for the workshop. So, it is important to yourself and the others, that you make a commitment, and embrace the responsibility of the path you have chosen for the highest good of all concerned.
A lot of people expressed interest, but in the end commitment speaks louder, so there will also be registration deadlines and pre-registration discounts to assist. All of this can be found below.
If for some reason the minimum requirement is not met, anyone who has pre-registered will receive a full refund.
There will also be a limited max of spaces available, as I want to ensure everyone gets the attention needed, and are comfortable in the space I have to offer.

Class Description, Reiki I:
In Reiki Level I, you’ll learn about the history, principles, ethics and practice of Reiki. You’ll experience Reiki, receive an attunement and start a 21-day energetic cleanse. You’ll learn scanning, Reiki lineage, hand positions for giving in-person, hands-on treatments to others and yourself and more. This class can help you begin the journey of creating more harmony and peace in your daily life and in your interaction with people to help center you more in compassion.
Class Description, Reiki II:
Reiki Level II is where you learn to support any intention, person, animal or global cause from a distance and can choose to “send” Reiki towards creating peaceful, harmonious and graceful outcomes. Plus, be able to lend your support to any cause or intent even when you are unable to physically be present. In Reiki Level II, you’ll learn three Reiki Symbols to deepen your work and use of Reiki, and you’ll receive a second attunement. You’ll learn how to send Reiki through space and time, heal the past, empower the future, embrace the present, support mental and emotional balance and more. Reiki II cultivates a deeper awareness of your inner voice and intuition.

Reiki 3 Master Teacher Workshop: Saturday, August 25, 2018 from 9 am – 6 pm

You will also be given instruction on how to give attunements for all levels and how to teach them as well. You learn what it means to be a teacher, while helping to nurture more confidence, commitment and responsibility to your service.

Intuitive Energy Guidance/Coaching & Reiki Opportunities
We’re already almost half way through March and Spring is on the way! Temps have been rising here too (63 degrees today!), everything is thawing, and all seems connected with everyone emerging in bigger ways and those seeds getting ready to blossom. The seeds have been planted, things are sprouting, and even the Lenten Roses are in bloom, which heralds the end of Winter into Spring.
Intuitive Energy Guidance/Coaching:
I’ve noted the perfect synchronicity of having started back up with clients this month for our 5 week intensives of Intuitive Energy Guidance/Coaching, which is so reflective and symbolic of sacred alchemy at work for sure. And I’m so excited for them and the big shifts taking place, as they both step into the next leg of their life’s work.
I’ve shared that I do need to keep a limit on clients I’m working with and did add an extra opening to April due to my inability to be available May.
This space is still open if anyone feels called, otherwise I won’t be available again until June.

Reiki in Lake Tahoe:
I’m still not offering Reiki sessions and Healing Attunements, except to my coaching clients, but have been receiving nudges that some Reiki workshops may be in store.
I’m not setting up a particular day or schedule for this, but am putting it out there to anyone that I am open to teaching this summer, beginning June, out of my space here overlooking Lake Tahoe.
If someone contacts me to schedule a workshop, I will then make that day and time available for others (granted it’s not a private workshop request) and go from there.
I have received inquiries for both a Level 3 Reiki Master Teacher training and Reiki 1 workshop. I usually teach a combined Reiki 1 & 2 Accelerated workshop, but might just offer the Level 1 alone for those people interested, as I’m getting it may be more aligned for those inquiring.
That said, if you have a particular request, please don’t hesitate to contact me, as I can customize to your needs.
If you’ve already taken some or all of the levels with another teacher and desire to further your training with me, feeling a shift in your path, I would be happy to accommodate that and discuss things with you. I, and other teachers, often get students that have trained in Reiki 1 and 2 with someone else, but feel a new teacher is more aligned with where they are now.
I’ve also had many people want to brush up on their training and wanting to get another teacher’s perspectives on the levels they’ve already taken, in which case I’ve also welcomed these people into my workshops and that can also be discussed further, if desired.
I can also tailor a workshop around specific requests and incorporate crystals, Faeries, etc. which I often do anyway (and then some!), depending on the student/s I have and their interests.
Anyway, I’m just putting that out there and if I do set something up, I’ll post the opportunity for others, if appropriate to the nature of the workshop scheduled.
I teach both privately and in groups and look forward to what the energy of this amazing space will provide to any potentials that may open.

Last Reiki Workshop August 16th & My Thoughts On Teaching Reiki
A reminder to all locals or anyone coming through the area – next Sunday, August 16th is the last group Reiki workshop available, as I’ll be heading off on a 3 month sabbatical beginning September 1st.
That’s just one week away and I can accommodate up to just 2 more people that feel called to join.
This will be a Reiki 1 and 2 Accelerated Workshop from 9 am – 6pm where you’ll receive training and certification in both levels.
There’s no experience necessary and all are welcome that feel drawn to a path of self-empowerment.
You don’t need to have a goal of making this your professional practice, but you will find that it will become your daily practice that will provide life-enhancing benefit to yourself and others in your life, including family, friends, animal companions, and the Earth at large.

My Thoughts & Feelings About Teaching Reiki:
I find Reiki to be one of the channels that supports us to “be” the love of the New Earth experience and a way to help spread that energy of loving service to others.
And for me, my joy is in empowering others. Teaching Reik is such a gift to be able to give and to see each person transform through the process is rewarding beyond words. I love how with each level and initiation attunement, the personal shifts they experience just keep amping up. It’s sometimes something they don’t notice, since it seems to naturally take place, until I call their attention to look at how far they have come. Amazing!
It’s also a hugely transformative and empowering process for the teacher. I know that my life has transformed exponentially since starting to teach Reiki in 2007. It’s not something I thought I would do when I first started down the Reiki path, but it definitely was where I was meant to go and not only assisted this area of my life gifts to share, but supported all areas of my life and opened up so many more latent gifts, evolutionary change, and courage of heart than I can even begin to express. Going down the path of becoming a Reiki Master Teacher, or being a teacher in any genre, is truly a life-changing experience for yourself and all whom you will touch in your life.
There’s a beautiful magick that takes place during a class or a treatment session that brings deeper inner, and mirroring outer, connection. As a teacher, I feel that my commitment is to continually embrace and surrender to the Spirit of Reiki consistently in my life – which to me is unconditional love – to live a life of service by working towards being an example of the principles consistently in my life, and to always challenge myself to keep growing and learning. I feel that a good teacher is also simultaneously a good student. When ever I’m teaching or doing a treatment, it reminds me how life-changing each moment is in providing opportunity for making a profound, evolutionary difference.
William Lee Rand shares this about becoming a Reiki Master: “The desire to grow is inherent in simply being alive. As we look around ourselves and observe living things, we can clearly see that the one activity that all living things share is growth. Everything that is alive grows. Because this is what living things do, one could even say that the purpose of life is to grow. Therefore, the desire to grow in ones Reiki potential is a natural expression of ones core essence and of life itself. If you feel this desire in your heart, honor and respect it. Doing so, will fulfill an innate need.”
Reiki may not be the path for everyone, but it definitely is a supportive tool for anyone to actively be a part of the change you wish to see.

What I provide is energy guidance, which is not only support with the intent and goal you bring to the table, practical tools, exploration into your hidden truths, and shadow, but all the while providing you energetic support during our conversation that will help with the blocks, removing fears, move energy, move forward, help you to manifest, and provide the opportunity for integrative healing on deep levels to take place more rapidly.

*** Important note about registering: I’ve always provided a partial refund, minus a non-refundable (but fully creditable) deposit to those who find themselves needing to cancel a workshop, as I know how things come up when embarking on this journey, as well as know there are many factors at work in aligning things. However, due to the amount of time I spend preparing the material, printing, creating certificates, accountability, and setting the time aside to invest in each person, I’ve had to make adjustments to this, as I have ended up teaching privates on multiple days due to these shifts, which normally incurs more time and investment. I didn’t have it on my radar to teach another Crystal Magick Workshop before I take my personal time off, but I’ve suddenly in the lasts 2 weeks received a few separate inquiries wondering if I will be teaching one soon again. I’m still on the fence about it, since my time is filling for the next two months, but am willing to explore the potential of offering this workshop once more before September 1st. That said, if you really are interested in this workshop here locally and would like me to offer it, please let me know. I will make my decision based on the amount of serious inquiries that would be ready to register if I do so. I may be open to this, but only as a one time, group workshop – no privates – so please also let me know what days you’d be available to attend, if in fact you’re interested and we’ll see if it’s meant to be.

While this month steadily and quickly rolls along in these sped up times of all things merging and manifesting incredibly fast, here are some of the things going on currently and to look forward to and join, if your own emerald heart calls:

Sacred Tattoo Designs ~ I’ve been really backed up on designs with my incredibly full schedule, and getting through them as best I can without compromising integrity in any way, as that is key to me. Interestingly, many of my clients have also been delayed on being ready or getting information to me, so it has been in synergy. But I thank everyone for your patience and ability to flow along with me. Because of this and new commissions that have come through, we’re now out to May (the first 2 weeks only) in terms of timing. However, due to my being away for half of May, my time to work on designs and to schedule any is limited and may have us looking at June very quickly. So keep this in mind if you’re interested in a design. In some cases I can do rush jobs, for a higher rate fee, but these days that may not be as possible with how full my plate is. Plus, quality is more important to me.

I will be away from May 18th to the 31st heading to both the mid-west and east coast. There is the potential of a co-taught Crystal Workshop in Florida while I’m there on Saturday, May 30th. So if you’re in the area and interested, you can message me for details.

I am so reluctant when it comes to new technology, implementing web stuff, and new social media, but in the energy of Iceland, somehow Kate succeeded where everyone else had failed. Upcoming & Potentially Some of the Last Reiki Workshops in Costa Mesa, California
If you’re local to the Orange County and Los Angeles area of Southern California, just a reminder that my time is limited for teaching workshops in this area. I won’t know my timing for sure until likely some time in March, but keep this in mind if you’ve been wanting to review a Reiki workshop you’ve already taken, or if you’ve been wanting to take the next step on your path and felt drawn to any of my workshops.
The April workshop has the potential to be my last one taught here locally.
If one of the dates below don’t work for you, you are always able to schedule a private workshop with me on any day that aligns with both of us. Many times private workshops turn into group ones when others are also able to come on that day, and if you’re open to the group dynamic. I offer workshops both privately and in groups in order to support individual needs.
However, my availability is very limited right now, as I have a lot of travels coming up, a full schedule, and workshops already set up both privately and in groups.
As always, if you are a student who has already taken a workshop with me, you are welcome to join for FREE as a refreshing review, to deepen your practice, or to co-teach, provided there is room.
The Reiki workshops that I offer are part of the Traditional Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki Certification Training.
I’ve been practicing and teaching both within and outside the U.S. since 2007 with clients and students internationally, many of which are themselves practicing practitioners and teachers, but also many who have simply integrated Reiki into their every day lives and experience enhancement and support as a direct result.
Here are the current group workshops available in Costa Mesa:
- Reiki Level 3 Master Teacher Workshop ~ Sunday, February 8th: 9 am – 6 pm – Only 1 Spot Remaining
Reiki Level III Master Teacher Class involves learning 3 Reiki Master Symbols including Tibetan, Anthakarana and Usui Master Symbols, Violet Breath, Hui Yin exercise, healing attunement instruction, receiving a third attunement, learn advanced techniques and more. You will also be given instruction on how to give attunements for all levels and how to teach them as well. You learn what it means to be a teacher, while helping to nurture more confidence, commitment and responsibility to your service. We will review Reiki Levels 1 and 2 for anyone interested in going over questions from previous training.
- Reiki 1 & 2 Accelerated Workshop ~ Sunday, April 12th: 9 am – 6 pm – 5 Spots Remaining
The focus is on learning, sharing, supporting and expanding your heart through Reiki (pronounced ray-key). The practice of channeling Reiki (spiritually guided Universal Life Force Energy) is an easy-to-learn, gentle and powerful system of natural healing that reduces stress, induces relaxation, supports intentions, and provides many other healing benefits. As a very powerful aid to personal growth, Reiki works on a physical, mental, emotional and spiritual level, and can be refined for personal use and in our service to others, animals, and the collective at large.

Contrasting Sunset Sky
Tonight’s sunset sky was nothing short of amazing.
I was teaching a Reiki Level 1 & 2 Accelerated Workshop and after cleaning up, I stepped out front to take in some air and check the mail.
What greeted me was such an interesting contrast, which mirrored the very interesting day.
Reiki always weaves its own unique energy in how the days, events, etc. will evolve.
One of the students ended up having to leave abruptly, with grave disappointment, from suddenly getting tremendous headaches and upset stomach half way through the workshop. She said she hasn’t been sick in ages and couldn’t remember when the last headache she had was. The headache began slightly just after arriving and just continued increasing in severity, to then becoming an upset stomach.
She was definitely going through huge shifts (not to mention some deep activations) with all that she was embracing on her opening path – so brave she is! And sometimes things also shift to have the perfect synergy of energy in the workshop.
She’ll be returning to complete training next week, as she also is on a fast track to have her Reiki 3 Master Teacher training next Sunday. Again, what a courageous one she is, not to mention a total sweetheart! She has been having a very rapid opening in her life and it’s awesome to witness that kind of commitment.
I’m happy to report that after she got home and ate a little, and napped, she is feeling good again.
So after the day ended, to find the sky as you see in the photos (although they don’t capture half the vibrancy and true richness of color), I was just in awe.
The sky to the right of the house where the sun was setting was passionately on fire.
And the sky to the left was soft and gentle, splashed with not only pink clouds, but a FULL pink rainbow. I couldn’t capture the whole thing, but it was a complete pink rainbow that framed the driveway.
So, so spectacular and unusual!! Wow!
It was also my first workshop to teach with both of my little bunny loves supporting me that represent the Sacred Feminine and Masculine (hmmm seem familiar in the sky contrasts?).
They both hung out in my office while teaching, but they were both helping mom prepare yesterday.
I have to admit, I was really missing them, even though I was just in the other room teaching! It was the first day not being right next to Cosmo. He did make an appearance at lunch break though, when I went to pick him up to give him some love and introduce him to the others.
I’m a love sick mommy indeed.
But what a sky tonight. The contrast was so symbolic and powerful. And the full pink rainbow….magick and love abound! MMMMMMMMMM!
