January Mid-Month Updates & Important Reminders
- If you are local to Orange County/Los Angeles and have been wanting to attend one of my workshops, have intent to complete your Reiki training with me or any other support you’ve wanted, including reviewing/co-teaching a Reiki workshop, please know that my time here is limited and there’s a good probability of not being here past the Summer, but could even be before that (see dates below for non-availability during this time period). I will keep you posted on the official time frame, as soon as I know.
- Remember that I teach private workshops, which includes private group workshops if you have a friend or two you’d like to go through training with. This means you don’t have to wait for me to post a workshop in order to join, as I can create one for you. I teach these all the time by request since it’s a specialty of mine to customize workshops and my schedule is flexible. Full day and short workshop options available to assist in realms of Reiki, Crystals, Pendulums, Crystal Elixirs, and any other conscious expanding realms you’re interested in delving more into – contact me with requests or to customize.
- Hosting or Co-Creating a workshop/event in your home town is always an option too – receive free training/group discounts and more. Contact me with requests and interests. Serious inquiries only please.
- If you are hosting an event, own a yoga studio or spiritual healing center and are interested in sacred art to add to the energy of your space, contact me about paintings I have that may be a perfect fit. These can be loaned with agreement, or purchased. Local requests only please, unless you are capable of shipping costs for artwork. Custom pieces are also an option to explore.
- I have a lot of personal and work travel scheduled, so this limits my availability for workshops, sessions, and commissioned tattoo designs.

- Our March Equinox sacred journey to Peru is around the corner in just 2 months! If you feel called to join this very special trip, remember that registrations or at least your confirmed deposits will need to be in by February 9th. The trip is March 11th – 22nd or 25th (if you decide on the extension). - There is still time to register for this Sunday 1/18’s Crystal Magick Workshop. I had 2 cancellations needing to reschedule, so I’m extending the registrations until tomorrow, Thursday 1/15, as well as the discount of $50 off. If you have a friend that wants to join, message me for additional savings. If you took this workshop before and want to join for review, message me as well.
- Don’t forget that Sunday February 8th there will be a Reiki Level 3 Master Teacher Workshop. Depending on new students for this workshop, this will determine past students coming as a review opportunity. If you still want to join this workshop and receive the $75 savings, you can do so by registering by end of today, Wednesday 1/14. Contact me if you need help with payments.
- Sacred Tattoo Designs: if you’re interested in co-creating a special tattoo design this year, reflective of and empowering to your soul, I’d be honored to work with you on that. I’m currently booked until early March and can only take 2 more clients for March and then we’ll be looking at booking for April. There is a waiting list and I create in order of commissioned projects. Spots are held with a deposit. Sacred Tattoo Design Update: Waiting List & New Client Limit
I’m immersed in some pretty amazing tattoos these days with some pretty amazing clients. And, it’s like a vortex of powerful symbolism and codes over here that are opening all kinds of portals, as I work day in and day out on the back up of designs, due to my being away a lot over the last couple of months.
I want to extend my appreciation to everyone for your patience, as this is work that truly benefits on all levels from not being rushed.
As you know, there is a waiting list for design work, and since a lot of the pieces have been amping up in size and breadth of involvement, it’s recently become necessary to limit the number of new clients I can take each month, in addition to the clients I already have.
This also helps me to be able to turn work around more efficiently.
That said, I can only take on 6 new clients per month alongside the current waiting list.
When you place your deposit to hold a space, you will also be scheduled into the calendar and provided a week that we’ll be co-creating your design in.
If you need your design before the date provided, due to a tattoo appointment you have scheduled, or energetic needs, please let me know upon contacting me. Rush jobs that must take place in a certain time-frame are subject to my availability of working off-hours, which would equate to a higher rate fee, reflectively.

June’s Inspired Special & Updates
This is just a quick post to share June’s Inspired Special of the Month.

Quick Updates & Dates to Keep in Mind Before I Head Out to Montreal & Toronto Next Week

This is just a quick blog update on a few things before I head out next week for Toronto and Montreal.
This will be the first time I travel there and am excited not only to teach Reiki, but to share some special moments with friends. I’m beyond ecstatic and grateful, as there is some amazing soul family I will be connecting with for the first time in person (this life) that I’ve been friends with for a while (some for years) by distance. How amazing life is to bring us together in this way. There will be a lot of fun and laughs, exploring, good food, good company, Reiki love, crystal energy, and a creative project being worked on while I’m there. Life is an exciting adventure!
While I’m away, I will be able to check emails and respond, but for the most part won’t be able to engage in anything full-heartedly until I return. In the meantime, here are some dates and details to keep in mind:
- Monday, July 29th is the last day to register for the upcoming Montreal Reiki Certification Classes. There are limited spots since it is being held at a private space, so I can only take up to 2 more registrations. You can view all of the details here: Reiki Certification in Montreal.
- Since I will be away Wednesday 7/31/13 – Wednesday 8/7/13, I will be unable to fulfill any new orders placed from my Crystal Illumination Etsy Shop until 8/8/13. So, if you’d like to receive something before then, please place orders by Monday 7/29/13 noon PST. All orders placed after this will be fulfilled on Thursday 8/8/13. Thank you for your understanding.
- Crystal Updates: There are a few new crystals and stones to peruse in my shop, which include a Mystic Merlinite (or Indigo Gabbro) and Pyrrhotite that has a naturally etched Wunjo Rune I discovered in it (a stone Edgar Cayce was thought to use) – both are new stones to me and quite fantastic. A lot of crystals have already moved on to their keepers, but there are still some amazing crystals awaiting alignment with theirs. Some updates on some of the favs people love: currently there are only 4 Andaras left, only 5 of the original 50 Lemurian L.O.V.E. Seed Crystal Pendulums left, and only 1 pendant (a diamond cut rainbow Fluorite) left. - Starting 8/8/13 I will be starting back up on taking on new work and commissions again in all realms, as well as will be getting back to the balance of varying projects. I still have a few people on my sacred tattoo design waiting list to complete designs for, but will be completing those by late mid-August. So, if you have interest in a design, you can contact me with your ideas and requests to move forward with after that.
- New Sacred Journeys will be announced shortly after my return, which I’m excited about, including some new workshops and Reiki Certification workshops, as well as a couple of upcoming art show/creative events.

2012 has really been an awakening and transmuting for many and I’ve been able to directly observe how the tattoo scene has evolved back into the sacred art form it originated as. I also have had direct experience of hearing how people’s ideas and judgments have been transformed. Big stuff and I LOVE this!
Everything is energy and the energy is what comes through intent-fully chosen tattoos. They simply embody magick. Not separate, not defining, and not altering of who you are at the core, but are an extension of your energy expressed through you so that others can feel who you are and see with new eyes a whole picture that exists. They also help to activate and empower more of who you are at the core with the power of their intentful symbolism.
This has the ability to assist in DNA shifting/aligning and accessing portal experiences, which in turn collectively has healing benefits and openings – VERY MUCH aligned with the December Gateways we are approaching and what 2012 has been focused on preparing us for.

A Brief Unveiling of the Meaning and History of Sacred Tattooing
T
attoos have been around for thousands of years as a form of marking the human body for different purposes and with varying meanings. Almost every ancient culture that has walked the Earth has created and worn tattoos and body art as a part of their symbolic way of life. Tattoo history spans over 5,000 years ago and is as diverse as the people that have worn them.
The art of mehndi, temporary art done on the body with henna, also dates back about 5,000 years. Mehndi is still used in ritualistic and religious ceremonies in India, but the earliest proven civilizations to use henna are the Babylonians, Assyrians and Sumerians. Many ancient cultures have used both tattoos and mehndi for spiritual purposes.
Permanent tattoo designs, sometimes very simple, sometimes extremely elaborate, but always with deep personal meaning, have served as amulets, status symbols, signs of religious beliefs, declarations of love, adornments and even at times as forms of punishment. There is cultural significance to tattoos that is timeless.
It used to be that the earliest known tattoos were for a long time Egyptian, dated around 2,000 BC. Many mummies, which seemed to be exclusively female, showed evidence of tattooed designs on their bodies, especially on their thighs. But the timeline has been pushed back further with the discovery of the Iceman in 1991, carbon-dated at around 5,200 years old, from the area of the Italian/Austrian border who displayed tattoos on various parts of the body. His tattoos were examined and found to correspond to stress-induced degeneration areas, suggesting they may have been applied in order to help alleviate joint pain and therefore were therapeutic in nature.
It is believed by some that the Egyptian women practicing tattooing were dubious in nature and that tattoos were a mark of a prostitute, but it has since been proven that female mummies have been found in royal and elite burial areas and that at first considered a royal concubine, they now know at least one was a high status priestess. So there is no indication that tattooing was only for the “dancing girls” as they called them. Some believe that the tattoos were not marks of a prostitute or to ward off sexually transmitted diseases, but were actually functioning therapeutically as permanent forms of amulets to aid in pregnancy and child birth, as is suggested by their patterns and placements and the addition of the God Bes, who was the protector of women in labor, amongst other things. This helps to explain why Egyptian tattooing was purely restricted as a female custom. Egyptian tattoos were usually a dark or black pigment. Brighter colors, it seems, were widely used in other ancient cultures.
The Inuits, Nubians, Scythian Pazyryk, ancient Britons, Greek, Romans, Pre-Columbian cultures of Peru and Chile, Native Americans, Ancient Chinese and Japanese, and Polynesians to name a few are of the ancient cultures who practiced the art of tattooing for varying reasons. These included similar reasons like the Egyptian women, as a mark of nobility and high status (not having them was a statement of low birth, interesting huh?), as a mark of belonging to a religious sect or to an owner, if a slave, or to mark a criminal as punishment, symbolized devotion to a patron deity, which Roman soldiers adopted until Christianity spread with the belief that tattoos “disfigure that made in God’s image.” Tattoos were worn on every part of the body including the face, all with different meanings and significance.
The Polynesians from Tahiti give us the modern day word “tattoo” from their islander term, “tatatau” or “tattau,” meaning to hit or strike. After James Cook’s expedition there, it became fashionable amongst Europeans to have tattoos, especially men with high risk professions, in which case the tattoos carried amulet-like symbolism for protection.
Modern day tattoos are world-wide spread throughout every culture still, including Japanese, Africans, and Maori of New Zealand to name a few and of course within the Western world as well. All of the symbolisms and reasoning stem from similarities to past ancient cultures, whether we’re conscious of knowing what and why we’re doing it for or not. Some may be for new reasonings and self expression, but the foundation behind it has been passed down for thousands of years and not so coincidentally, many of us get tattoos of ancient symbols from ancient civilizations and cultures. Cross-cultural influences have continued to play a significant part in how we express and live our lives, incorporating and melding things together. Interesting how everything is a cycling circle or spiral effect, linking us all in timeless experience.
