How Pancakes Changed My Day ~ Let Imagination Into Your Life In Any Small Way

malibu

me, rosy-cheeked and feeling fresh, on our hike with a purple flower i found on the trail…a gift from the faeries for playing and being me? it was a loop trail and this flower wasn’t on it when we began (nor are there any around like this), but was there when we looped through to closure

I couldn’t not share these, as I’m just so giddy with delight over them, but I did wait until after returning from a short hike this breakfast fueled, and lunch enjoyment after.

This morning was such a celebratory time and the more I support myself with the things I need and want, the more life reflects the same.

I’m receiving some huge confirmations that are clearing and easing the way for me to do what I know I want to be doing and focused on right now.

And that equates to a happier and lighter me, who then is flying around doing everything with joy.

That joy wanted through this morning in the form of creative cooking, which turned into these nature-emulating, and my love for nature-inspired, pancakes. (And yes, I’d be more than happy to make some for anyone who joins me on a private retreat too)

pancakes

this morning’s pancakes my imagination created – a flower/starfish, butterfly, full moon (since her magick has been supporting the journey), heart, tree, and bunny!

pancakes4.jpg

vegan pancake creation topped with strawberries, mangoes, maple syrup and a sprinkle of fun with tempeh bacon

Be it the expansive, limitless horizon of the Pacific Ocean in front of me, the reinvigoration of getting this adventure rolling, or simply letting the energy expand from the little seed planted by my friend Lynne who said “make me a tree pancake” when I mentioned pancakes were on the menu this morning, I began my day off by taking the first half off to just bask in the light of imagination, nurturing, nature, and slowing down.

And this is what unfolded from there (the photos you see throughout), after this morning’s sunrise with Cosmo.malibu hiking.jpgmalibu hiking2.jpgmalibu hiking3malibu hiking4malibu hiking5

Following the flow of energy I felt wanting through will now support the flow of work I’m putting full focus on after this quick share, now that I feel balanced.

I’m feeling like I’m going to get a lot accomplished this week by continuing in this vein.

It’s an inspiring day on the Magick Bus and I’m helping to sprinkle the magick, immersion, and fun to each of you, as everything I do is always mindful of its trickle effect for the collective.

That’s why I feel it so important to channel the clearest flow of energies we’re each about, as much as possible.

Creativity, imagination, innocence, passion, and play are some of the things I cherish and can help others with opening those portal of experiences too!

Give yourself permission to play and find creative ways to integrate that into your day no matter what’s going on!

The smallest things can make all the difference!

Imagine what a little tree or bunny pancake could do for you. 🙂

It sure tickled the rest of my day, infusing this joyful lightness as I created them, ignited a playfulness for my day, inspired taking a hike that was invigorating and helped move energy, and opened the portal of creativity I now need for my painting project.

The visions are pouring through with ease and when this happens the process will be flowing, quick, and easy – cutting work time because I’m in the zone – which means more play time available!

When I let life flow through me, my life then flows.

Please let life pour through you.

The Power of Observing ~ Paving Your Own & New Way

“The Indian philospher J. Krishnamurti once remarked that observing without evaluating is the highest form of human intelligence. When I first read this statement, the thought, ‘What nonsense!’ shot through my mind before I realized that I had just made an evaluation.” ~Marshall Rosenberg

I am a constant observer of life, of consciousness, of everything in and around me. It’s something that came very naturally to me from the onset, as an introvert. Perhaps many of you can relate.

Although I was always very quiet, I was actively very present and it wasn’t the kind of quiet that disappeared and shriveled back into the corner of a room, but a quiet that held a strong presence because I was fully engaged with everything and everyone around me, just not engaged in speaking much.

I was observing and listening, which continues to be my preferred experience of life.

So people were still very aware of me and actually to the degree where they would think I said things, when I simply was standing in my own energy, energetically conveying more than words alone can.

Of course that changed over time to involve more speaking, and communicative engaging, hence my stepping into a guidance/teaching role, but that constant observer has only increased over the years and I still would consider myself quiet, speaking only when the energy and experience moves me to.

The last few years has increased this observational experience for me and lately I’ve noted that I’m doing it 100% of the time in a heightened way. It’s not something I tell myself I’m going to do, or that I need to do…it simply just happens.

“Nothing has such power to broaden the mind as the ability to investigate systematically and truly all that comes under thy observation in life.” ~Marcus Aurelius

Observing, to me, is being very present, paying attention, watching, listening, and feeling all that is going on, on and under the surface, and doing it all without attachment or need to judge and evaluate what’s being seen in those moments of observing. It’s just really about opening to the experience of what is going on without interference.

And I find that when I truly am in that place of unattached observing, it expands my experience to such a degree that I then shift into the multi-dimensional me and it completely alters my reality.

I’ll then continue by exploring this and open to the unlimited potentials of perspectives, as well as feel into how things make me feel, what gets brought up from the other parts of me, and allow myself to go into each part to see what truly aligns with the nature of who I know myself to be as an expression of Source and with the experience I am moving into.

I felt called to bring this up, as lately while I’m moving into a new experience of myself, things around me have been calling my attention to observe very deeply, which includes the messages I see and hear that people are sharing and promoting, how others, especially prominent figures, are engaging their current roles, and keeping an eye on the wave of positioned dynamics along the spectrum of shifts taking place.

I experience what I feel it to be telling me about where things are headed collectively and since everyone is a reflection of me, especially so if there are people directly in my experience I’m experiencing regularly, how what they are expressing aligns or not with the experience I’m feeling led to transmute into. At the same time, feeling into any triggers and what those have as message for me…much of the time I find it teaching me to go deeper into my observation and to remain unattached and unconditional, and also reiterates to me what my personal role and path is in response to what these represent.

I feel for the shared undercurrents and I feel for the diverging streams.

I listen to the messages that even may have one time been my own, and how the now calls for expanded creative evolution.

“People’s minds are changed through observation and not through argument.” ~Will Rogers

So I will use everything/one as gauges to what I do and don’t feel to be personally resonating with the current energy frequency I feel in my experience, so that I may then find the gifts within all of that to both weed and seed.

I find that takes place a lot within the realm of the more spiritually focused, “new-agers”, yet I’m always observing all, as integration of everything is key to me.

That includes nature, animals, weather, events, people, emotions…you name it.

In some ways I feel this particular realm has come into the spotlight a lot because I’ve sensed the complacency of it, feeling that a destination has been reached when there is no actual end, and also expansion into more of the same keeps happening – just wearing different clothing.

It’s a realm I had also felt very comfortable in for a time, but feel I personally need new clothing, as the ones I had (quite literally and symbolically, as I’m getting rid of my actual wardrobe for my upcoming move) don’t “fit” me anymore.

I also feel the tension of duality, where more has not been realized possible.

It is the realization of that more, the incredible connection to imagination, that fuels my heart.

And perhaps that is simply my own journey and experience, but all I can share is MY own experience.

So, I remain an observer, riding the waves of consciousness, knowing that many of my ideas and feelings don’t sit well with the human heart and mind all of the time, but that has become a peaceful place to be for me now.

No longer do I feel isolated, alone, disheartened, or swayed by this, as it would have affected me in the past.

It’s part of the reason for my taking three personal months off, after having gathered much through observation, coming to understand what messages and energies I do and don’t resonate with, what I do and don’t feel is right for me in how to be and show up in life, or even how I share myself with others, and listening to the guidance that now is the time to turn that observation inward ever more so.

One can end up going so deeply within that you emerge without – in a new reality.

So observing includes being an observer of myself always (which is why I usually have several voices of dialogue in my head at any given time), and realizing always that I want to pave my own way where the only gauge is the presence of observation to All That Is within the truth of me.

I’ve realized that when everyone seems to be getting on a particular bandwagon (which I’m seeing much of), that’s indication, if I haven’t already, to get off the bandwagon.

Whimsical Seashell Creations ~ Enhancing the Ordinary With a Little Nature & Imagination

seashells11Amidst my fulls days, I’ve managed to carve out time in between my work during little breaks to nourish my creative juices. I’ve been wanting to do this little project now for months, and I’m glad I waited, as my original vision shifted and turned into something better….at least I think so. 😉

I’ve found that the few minutes of imagination and fun to break up the day have added a spark to things energetically, as well as have kept me balanced.

seashells10Balance is always the key I am focused on creating in my life, one way or another, as I have a history of going overboard with things since I have an unusually inhuman level of endurance. So, I love to switch things up to amuse and nurture my eclectically diverse needs, finding ways to constantly keep all parts of me engaged and happy, as well as support my overall well-being without any blow-outs and breakdowns.

seashells6I’m happy to say, I’ve been successful with this now consistently, after learning my processes and knowing myself most intimately. It took years, but now I’m building years under my belt of harmony and balance.

Anyway, my project consisted of creating some ocean-inspired pieces infused with the amazing energy of seashells and sea treasures I’ve collected over the last few years on my journeys to energetically powerful spots on the globe, both near and far.

seashells5I just recently found the perfect pieces I’d been envisioning and the rest was all about letting inspiration lead.

I highly recommend you nurture whatever little creative nudges are tapping on your shoulder, as it will do you A LOT of good!

Don’t judge what wants through either! Just let yourself create without hindering how that needs to look or what others might think of it. It’s all about playing and having fun!

I know I was definitely enjoying tapping into my inner mermaid for this project and of course the Pisces me was in her watery bliss. 🙂

seashells4I had so much fun creating these pieces and wanted to share them with you. They were made in spurts here and there between my days, and because it was a delicate operation of placing things just so, while affixing them and having to prop things and keep things in place while they dried, it was a creative challenge that also benefited stretching and exercising both my right and left brain – again helping to balance within the process of the project itself, while balancing my day as well.seashells3

I hope you enjoy the photos of these whimsical pieces, which include an antiqued watering can (just love this piece that has 10 small seashells framing the handle and 3 seashells on the scroll work behind the spout), a water pitcher (such an elegant and watery beauty!), and two seashells2vases – one of which I decorated on the outside (such wonderful Earthy colors and richness) and the other I one-by-one hand-placed each sea treasure in a sturdy stacked column that not only showcases each unique piece, but holds strong and in place (an enchanted collection of magickal energy).seashells

It’s amazing, but not surprising, how I had exactly the right pieces for everything and also in cases where I was reflecting a mirror image on two sides…ended up having mirroring pieces and only the right amount of each! The photos don’t do justice to the colors, detailing, and shine of many of the mother of pearl luminous pieces.

seashells8

I don’t know what I’m doing with all of them yet, I just know I was to create these mermaid treasures and I’ll let intuition, inspiration, and guidance lead the way on the rest. I only know that one is a special birthday gift for a special someone…another might be part of a wedding gift…but we’ll see what Spirit has in store.seashells7

What IS known is that they are sparked full of magick, wonderful ocean and nature energy, and seem to have brought more Faery friends around. 😉seashells9

The Magick is You

I couldn’t NOT post this beautiful image that a friend sent me saying she thought of me right away when she saw it. I’d say she knows me quite well, as if this image isn’t me, I don’t know what is.

I get lost, or rather, I find myself in the magick, innocence, inspiration, enchantment, ethereal mystery, and love it conveys. It reminds me of my time in Iceland and of so many elements of life and creation I hold dear.

I could write a story about all the things this image brings up and ignites within me.

But instead, I thought I would share it, as it just twinkles with magick and invokes a sense of wonder and imagination. Powerful things for us to cultivate in our lives in order to harness our creative alchemy into manifestation of being.

Don’t stop believing. And DO start living as if everything is a miracle, because it IS and so are YOU.

“Being born on the earth is the highest honor and greatest privilege. To be alive as human beings gives us the chance to pull off exquisite and Herculean feats of magic that are not possible in nirvana or heaven or any other so-called paradise, higher dimension, or better place.” ~Rob Brezsny

“The appearance of things change according to the emotions, and thus we see magic and beauty in them, while the magic and beauty are really in ourselves.” ~Kahlil Gibran

Pamela “Pixie” Colman Smith – A “Rich” Soul Whose Works & Life Continue to Inspire Millions

Pamela Colman Smith - Pixie

I’ve been meaning to share about this soulful creatrix and today inspiration led me to do so, first in an article by Beth Maiden, honoring her works and spirit, followed by my own collected shares below.

This is a wonderful article and tribute to the artist, Pamela Colman Smith (also known as “Pixie” or “PCS”) of the most widely known Tarot deck in the world, the Rider Waite Tarot – now referred to by many as the Rider-Waite-Smith Tarot, as people have come to honor Pamela’s name, where for a long time it had been omitted.

The article is a celebration not only of Pamela, but also of the creative arts (which she lived her life constantly immersed in and channeling), of the contributions of women, and the value and honor both are deserving of in helping to shape the world and the foundations it is built upon.

Pamela not only led a richly creative life following her passions, despite not receiving equal financial compensation for her skill, gifts, contributions, and devotion during her life (in fact she died penniless and in debt, unable to have her last wish carried out – that of leaving her estate to her dear friend), but also strongly supported women’s suffrage, and brought a depth of mysticism and whimsy to everything she contributed that was intoxicating and precedent-setting.

In the article, Tarot Reader and Writer Beth Maiden shares her appreciation for this eclectic and complex soul stating:

“Pamela Colman Smith will never know how beloved she now is in the tarot community, how many decks of her cards have been sold, how her artwork is the most often-seen in the tarot. The boss of US Games, who continue to publish her deck, says she could have been a millionaire today. As it is, her tarot deck and many of her other works are an example of women’s work and art and contributions being continually brushed under the carpet, continually undervalued, unpaid, taken for granted.

But Pamela Colman Smith was awesome. She never sold out and perhaps she had the chance to. She was a woman of colour who forged her own path in life at a time when few women were. She was an amazingly original person, a creatrix, a boundary-pusher and a mystic, and from where I’m standing, it looks like she lived an amazing life of adventure and passion.”

I have a personal interest in this creative and kindred faery-loving soul, enjoying researching and reading about her life and her life’s work.

Some of the wonderful books I’ve delighted in include:

The Artwork & Times of Pamela Colman Smith by Stuart R. Kaplan

And two of her own original published and self-illustrated stories:

Susan and the Mermaid

Annancy Stories – inspired by her love of Caribbean colors from her time in Jamaica growing up and the folk lore there deep in spirits and sprites

Pamela Colman Smith (February 16, 1878 – September 18, 1951) is one of the most remarkable yet most underrated artists of the 20th Century. Her mother was Jamaican and her father was an eccentric and sensitive traveling salesman from Brooklyn, New York. When her mother passed, her father placed her in the care of a troupe of traveling actors in England that looked after her until she was 15 and able to join her father in New York.

Her father enrolled her in the Pratt Institute of Art, which is now long gone, but in its day had been a pace-setter for avant-garde philosophy of teaching art that stressed intuitive talents (something I myself prefer and cultivate) over mechanical memorization and repetition of traditional art techniques. This raised eyebrows at the time with its promotion of “Symbolist” style of art, which permeates Pamela’s work.

Her life continued to be filled with colorful artists, actors and actresses, authors, poets, composers, and occultists whom she would entertain at her eclectic studio (one person described its decor as “a mad room out of a fairy tale”) with story telling – everyone gathered around her in a circle, as she sat on the floor in animated excitement, sharing her favorite tales and songs with twinkling eyes.

“Miss Pamela Smith tells her little stories so naturally and simply that one cannot think she would have told them differently at the other side of the world, or a thousand years ago…” – W.B. Yeats

Pamela was a complicated and introspective soul. Sometimes her art suggested a fragile and often lonely person, the eerie side of the supernatural, but also the lighter, enchanting side filled with water sprites and elfin figures. Indeed her works were mystical and fantastical, especially her “musical paintings” – also known as synesthetic art or synesthesia (something we both share). She could “see” music and her gift was in translating the music she “saw” into images.

When asked to explain her “peculiar psychic gift” she replied,

“You ask me how these pictures are evolved. They are not pictures of the music theme – pictures of the flying notes – not conscious illustrations of the name given to a piece of music, but just what I see when I hear music – thoughts loosened and set free by the spell of the sound.”

As Stuart R. Kaplan writes in his book, The Artwork & Times of Pamela Colman Smith:

“Waite’s choice of Smith for the execution of his tarot indicates that he thought highly of her work, yet he may have underestimated her intellectual and spiritual depth. It is unlikely that Pamela treated Waite’s ceremonies with utter seriousness (she was to say of being a Catholic, years later, that it was “such fun”), and her playful attitude may have led others to feel that her appreciation of the ritual and symbolism was shallow. However, Pamela’s conscious awareness of the elements of religious symbolism and ritual is indicated by her paintings and her writings. Her letters provide evidence of her familiarity with music and theater, her long involvement in the Order of the Golden Dawn and, later, her dedicated activity in the Roman Catholic Church. What Waite and others may not have realized was that Pamela’s apparently simple approach to he metaphysical was not due to lack of depth or of intellect. Her writings indicate that, for her, ritual and symbolism derived the power to illuminate from the senses, emotion and the imagination, not from the mind.”

When she returned to England she delved into the theater with all of the connections she had to some of the most well known artists/actors of the time, working as a set and costume designer, making quite a name for herself on the London stage. She became close friends with literary giants like William Butler Yeats and Bram Stoker, both of which she did illustration work for.

Stoker introduced her to occultists and they would meet at the then popular Watkins Books, a newly opened book shop and first of its kind specializing in occult literature, which was the meeting grounds for the London esoteric community.

Pamela was very spiritual, mystical, a true believer, and fully into faery lore, which is no wonder she was nick-named “Pixie”. Her mysticism and spiritual depth no doubt is what drew Waite to her and her art and why he commissioned her to illustrate a Tarot deck of his own.

It’s unknown how much of the final deck is Waite’s or Smith’s own inspiration, but it’s thought that the Major Arcana cards may have been drawn to Waite’s more stringent specifications that reflect the official Golden Dawn principles, whereas the Minor Arcana cards were derived from Smith’s inspiration.

No one had ever illustrated the Minor Arcana cards before, so it’s thought Pamela proposed this and was given leeway in illustrating them. A lot of people find these Minor Arcana cards to be the most memorable, brilliant, and often nearly plagiarized by artists that use variations of her exact scenes.

“Although she may have been disillusioned with the art and publishing establishment, Pamela never ceased to believe in her abilities or in the worthiness of her art. Her personal effects contain many scraps of paper covered with drawings and doodles, and even her church missal is sketched on its margins and flyleaves. Smith was always busy with pencil and sketchbook.”

‘The unbridgeable gap between the intense visionary inspiration expressed in her art and the security of commercial success seems to have been puzzling and painful to her.”

– From The Artwork & Times of Pamela Colman Smith by Stuart R. Kaplan

I think this is something many artists struggle with and I hope one day will be resolved in the form of value for creative contributions and creative energy in general.

Pamela “Pixie” Colman Smith’s work has continued to inspire millions of people across the globe. As more of her paintings, writings, illustrations, and esoteric contributions have surfaced over time, people are recognizing and revering her for her full body of work, calling to mind what a brilliant artist she was.

She will always be remembered for creating a work of “enduring Sacred Art” and I hope her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who create from the well of imagination.

I leave you with some excerpts from an article written by Pamela Colman Smith for the July 1908 issue of The Craftsman Illustrated Monthly Magazine titled Should the Art Student Think? :

“…Learn from everything, see everything, and above all feel everything! And make other people when the look at your drawing feel it too!”

“…Keep an open mind to all things. Hear all the music you can, good music, for sound and form are more closely connected than we know. Think good thoughts of beautiful things, colors, sounds, places, not mean thoughts. When you see a lot of dirty people in a crowd, do not remember only the dirt, but the great spirit that is in them all, and the power that they represent. For through ugliness is beauty sometimes found. Lately I have seen a play, ugly, passionate, realistic, brutal. All through that play I felt that ugly things may be true to nature, but surely it is through evil, that we realize good. The far-off scent of morning air, the blue mountains, the sunshine, the flowers, of a country I once lived in, seemed to rise before me – and there on the stage was a woman sitting on a chair, her body stiff, her eyes rolling, a wonderfully realistic picture of a fit…”

“…I wish here to say how grateful I am to the writer of an article in an American magazine (Putmans’ Monthly for July, 1907). ‘An Appreciation and a Protest.’ An appreciation of Albert Sterner, and a protest against the ‘ultra-sweetness and oppressive propriety admired alike by the publisher and the public,’ and ‘individuality discreetly suppressed.’

O! the prudishness and pompous falseness of a great mass of intelligent people! I do not hold that ‘the incessant roar of high-power presses’ is alone to blame for the stifling of life, but for a lack of inspiration. For it is a land of power, a land of unkempt uproar – full of life, force, energy.

Lift up your ideals, you weaklings, and force a way out of that thunderous clamor of the steam press, the hurrying herd of blind humanity, noise, dust, strife, seething toil – there is power! The imprisoned Titans underneath the soil, grinding, writhing – take our strength from them, throw aside your petty drawing room point of view.

I do not want to see riotous, clumsy ugliness suddenly spring up, but a fine noble power shining through your work. The illustrations that I see in the magazines by the younger people are all dignified and well, carefully and conscientiously drawn, but their appalling clumsiness is quite beyond me, – their lack of charm and grace.

I do not mean by charm, pettiness, but an appreciation of beauty. Ugliness is beauty, but with a difference, a nobleness that speaks through all the hard crust of convention.

I have heard it said that half the world has nothing to say. Perhaps the other half has, but it is afraid to speak. Banish fear, brace your courage, place your ideal high up with the sun, away from the dirt and squalor and ugliness around you and let that power that makes ‘the roar of the high-power presses’ enter into your work – energy – courage – life – love. Use your wits, use your eyes. Perhaps you use your physical eyes too much and only see the mask. Find eyes within, look for the door into the unknown country.

‘High over cap’ on a fairy horse – ride on your Quest – for what we are all seeking – Beauty. Beauty of thought first, beauty of feeling, beauty of form, beauty of color, beauty of sound, appreciation, joy, and the power of showing it to others.”

Color and Creativity

While I’ve been immersed in painting recently, I’ve been once again in awe of color.

Oh how I love color!

I love vibrant color.

I love soft, muted color.

I love surprise color blends.

I love playing with new color combinations and creating the perfect, sensual harmony that reflects the vibration of each energy that is channeling through.

Colors are energy frequencies that I sense on all levels…I feel them, hear them, taste them, smell them, see them….and they appear through inner vision/feeling and music.

As an artist I feel that tapping into the boundless possibilities of creative energy is a reflection of my expansiveness in growth.

The more I discover and channel through personal expression, the more I expand, deepen, evolve, increase my vibration and vitality, and create doors to new possibilities.

This creative energy isn’t just limited to artists, but is available to anyone who desires to push the envelope of their personal expressiveness in life.

Creative energy is one of the most powerful things that there is. Exercising your imagination is invaluable.

How do you tap into the well of your creativity?

The Enchantment of Your Own Divinity

enchanted christmasToday’s Daily Thought from Shakti Gawain’s Reflections in the Light: Daily Thoughts and Affirmations:

Your Own Divinity

In the stillness of meditation be with your own divinity. Pause and quietly rejoice in the feeling of oneness with the universe. At some point in your life’s path you became aware that there is more to life than what you perceive with your physical senses alone. At that moment your own spirituality was born in you.

I celebrate the birth of my spirituality.

magickal christmasMay you fully reclaim the purity and wonder that you are innately and may you come to consciously embody the joyous and miraculous spirit of creative love endowed upon you.

And if the bell doesn’t ring for you anymore, perhaps today can be your day to listen a little bit more and to invite imagination into your heart once again.

In the spirit of enchantment and wonder, I hope you enjoy last year’s Christmas post, “Believe”.

The Child In Me Lives On and Lives Strong

et and eeyore

“I am often accused of being childish.  I prefer to interpret that as child-like.  I still get wildly enthusiastic about little things.  I tend to exaggerate and fantasize and embellish.  I still listen to instinctual urges.  I play with leaves.  I skip down the street and run against the wind.  I never water my garden without soaking myself.  It has been after such times of joy that I have achieved my greatest creativity and produced my best work.” ~Leo F. Buscaglia

Yes, I’m a nearly 42-year-old, constant child of 3, simultaneously living in the timeless infinite. The magick has never been lost in my life, I find wonder in every experience, and I continue to believe.

You can imagine how excited I was when I found my most beloved friends in a box in the garage just this past Friday, pictured above. I had E.T. the longest, and Eeyore came into my life later.

They are the only stuffed animals I kept of nearly a hundred that I had. I used to play make-believe by myself with all of my friends seen and unseen, creating experiences for us all to explore, singing songs, and talking away.

I never needed a play mate, as I was quite content in my own little world. My brother used to try and come in and interrupt things, but my parents would tell him to leave me alone, as I would get quite disturbed at the interruption. LOL

“Whoever wants to understand much must play much.”  ~Gottfried Benn

My parents actually tape-recorded me singing and talking when I was three, which they still have and we like to play now and then, giggling away at it all. They also have other fun recordings they saved of us as children opening presents at Christmas and me singing a Christmas carol, Away in a Manger, in the choir doing a solo at age 3 in front of hundreds of people where I briefly pause and take a gulp of air in the middle of it without a flinch or care. My parents said everyone smiled and got a kick out of that in the audience. 🙂

tania and nestorI’m going to visit them next week for the holidays, so we likely will bring these tapes out, or shall I say, my brother will get them out to laugh at.

Needless to say, my stuffed friends – enchanted to me – were very dear and still are.

I always connected to my cosmic self since I was a child and my E.T. friend provided a sense of comfort and home where I felt uprooted. My mom would tuck me into bed with E.T. throughout childhood AND high school, sheets up to both our chins. And then Eeyore joined as well.

“In my soul, I am still that small child who did not care about anything else but the beautiful colors of a rainbow.” ~Papiha Ghosh

This particular stuffed Eeyore happens to look like my beloved, departed Nestor. The two of them together, E.T. and Eeyore, remind me of me and Nestor on many levels, as you can see in this photo above left.

E.T. and Eeyore have traveled with me, even joining me in a couple classes I participated in, in Sedona with Laura, just after Nestor transitioned. They are both in perfect condition except for E.T.’s finger and toe being bitten by Nestor…a nice little reminder of her always being a part of me and with me, or as E.T. says, “I’ll be right here.”

And now they have rejoined me in bed and are bringing their warmth, love and magick again into my life and dream time. I love going to sleep and waking in the night and morning, finding them wrapped together under one or both of my arms. For the first time last night, somehow Eeyore and E.T. switched places and E.T. was actually upside down, but they were still side by side, as they always are. I wonder what we were up to in the night? 🙂et and eeyore tucked in for bed

I have always lived in my imagination and brought my imagination to life. I will continue to do so throughout my infinite existence.

Imagination is our creative power source from which we shape our experiences and create new and more enriching realities.

“Maybe we should develop a Crayola bomb as our next secret weapon.  A happiness weapon.  A beauty bomb.  And every time a crisis developed, we would launch one.  It would explode high in the air – explode softly – and send thousands, millions, of little parachutes into the air.  Floating down to earth – boxes of Crayolas.  And we wouldn’t go cheap, either – not little boxes of eight.  Boxes of sixty-four, with the sharpener built right in.  With silver and gold and copper, magenta and peach and lime, amber and umber and all the rest.  And people would smile and get a little funny look on their faces and cover the world with imagination.” ~Robert Fulghum
