3 Days of Clever Rabbits, Gentle Integration & a Walk Between Worlds

20160814_181449(0)_resized

We’ve spent the last three days in a quiet area called Stony Plain, just 30 minutes outside of Edmonton, Alberta – the capital of Canada’s western Alberta province. It has been a nice transition, lightening up and integrating the energy, and aligned with anchoring in the new that has been clarified through recent work and full-circle closure. It’s also been interesting, as we touched in with a reality so outside of our own and this new that it literally was a “walk between worlds” experiencing the epitome of extreme on one end and walking through it from a middle way point of view that invoked our invisibility.

I had no idea why we were led to quickly snap this photo above before getting back in the car after our bike ride when we were in Edmonton, while I was wearing my cosmic leggings that have a mountain vista painted amidst the stars on them. It became clear as I wrote this blog and that traversing between realities experienced that it seemed to symbolize and reflect.

Now and then we touch into city life and each time is always a way for me to observe things and the work done. But for the most part we have been immersed in nature, wildlife, and working with melding earth and cosmos.

Aside from the butterflies, dragonflies, grasshopper, birds, and bees, the only wildlife experienced during these three days was mostly the city jungle experience, animal rides, amusement, and aquarium sea lion shows in the mall.

But the rabbit energy nurtured and supported along the way, as we found a cute, all vegan restaurant in Edmonton where we enjoyed a late lunch after arrival and an early dinner the evening before our leaving last night.

Food is a form of balancing for me and always mirrors my journey, not to mention helps me to embody more.

Of course you know I loved the new restaurant simply by its name – The Clever Rabbit. And there felt to be a metaphor with this name and its meaning in the navigation of our journey. Not to mention a beautiful reflection in how rabbits, and my dear little ones, always have my back and best interests in mind.

The decor added to the enchantment that tickled my heart and the food topped it off with deliciousness!

I enjoyed the lentil loaf with cashew gravy – best I’ve ever had – with side salad and an iced coffee treat, since I always have tea, on our first experience there. Then tried their pulled “pork” and coleslaw sandwich with salad on our second and last visit.

20160814_152853_resized20160816_191543_resized

Dave had the “chicken” and waffles and later the bbq “steak” sandwich with vegetable soup.

20160814_152840_resized20160816_191526_resized

All of their “meats” are in-house made with unique ingredients and were fun to try.

We also enjoyed vegan chocolate cake the first trip in and took home vegan donuts – Dave’s favorite – to enjoy later. I’m not a huge donut fan, but these are my favorite kind because they are cakey ones! I love cake! I don’t need filling and icing, but that moist cakeyness…..mmmmmm!

They put together an assortment of donuts freshly made just for us to take home. 🙂

20160814_154302_resized20160816_194123_resized20160816_194409_resized

Our days were different than our usual nature immersions, but we did still manage to get in the outdoors enjoying a long bike ride along the river walk through the parks in Edmonton after lunch (where I found another feather gift).

The second day was serene and low key at Chickakoo Lake Recreation Area scenic park, just north of Stony Plain where we were. I relaxed taking in sunshine to quench the light within and finished my book in a series I’m reading for the afternoon on one of the little grassy sites overlooking the lake and greenery around, while Dave enjoyed biking a couple of the many trails they have for hiking and biking.

20160815_180033_resized20160815_151742_resized

It was incredibly peaceful, as I sat in complete silence with no one around except the occasional butterfly that chimed in with what I was reading, which has been mirroring and merging my now experience (as if mythical is “becoming”) and a little green grasshopper who appeared on my leg and hung out.

Grasshoppers are about taking leaps into new realities with complete trust of that inner voice within. They jump across space and time, support astral travel, and provide luck and faith to spring forward without knowing where you will land simply because somewhere deep inside you “know” without need for the mind’s grasp of understanding. They help us get across obstacles and support quick changes in our life on all levels.

I love that it hung out on my leg….literally imbuing that “leaping and jumping” energy directly to me.

I can’t explain what is taking place anymore, especially on this day, but it is a timelessness and convergence of realities and timelines where I’m experiencing All That Is in its state of “Isness”.

Then from there we did a complete 180, the next day after painting, heading back into Edmonton again looking for a sporting goods store.

This led us unknowingly to the largest shopping mall in North America – West Edmonton Mall.

It also happens to be the 10th largest in the world and was the world’s largest mall util 2004.

Talk about complete dichotomy of opposites and duality in the flesh.

It was pretty surreal to walk through it and see the epitome of extreme light up all around us.

We had no idea, and so we decided to walk through it to observe it all. I also managed to somehow find a new skirt and tank hiking outfit for just $17 U.S. – talk about incredible in a mall of this nature to create that reality. 🙂 And Dave did equally well with what he was looking for at super bargain.

We both actually never step into malls, so this was quite an experience.

This mall has an ice rink, black light mini golf, amusement park with roller coasters and rides, water park with slides and wave machine beach, bowling alley, theaters, 800+ stores, restaurant alley, areas that look like vegas, computerized directories with touch screens, play areas for kids to ride motorized animals, pirate ships on water, aquarium, and even live sea lion entertainment…you name it.

It’s huge. It’s wild!

They even have a little space guy in Galaxyland named Cosmo, which was synchronous. 😉

And interestingly, there are so many other-world-like experiences being infused in this realm, as you can see….bringing in other realms, but operating without knowing of why this is all so resonant….but almost like it’s a way to ensure it stays fantasy and unconscious.

20160816_124547_resized20160816_164126_resized20160816_165009_resized20160816_165345_resized20160816_165631_resized20160816_170053_resized20160816_170101_resized20160816_170124_resized20160816_170417_resized20160816_171010_resized20160816_171017_resized20160816_171222_resized20160816_171249_resized20160816_172350_resized20160816_175100_resized20160816_175113_resized20160816_182127_resized20160816_182254_resized

It’s almost like a pseudo reality drug that feeds the desire to expand, while keeping you just below thought, rather than above it, hence in the unconscious spiral without access to conscious alchemy to create.

It was so extreme and so different than everything I’ve been posting in photos that I just had to snap images to reflect the dynamics at work.

Interestingly, I wasn’t energetically overwhelmed this time as I usually am by so much around me.

I felt like I was slipping in between the seams so to speak and able to observe without being affected by the energy, nor others really taking note of me/us either.

It spoke to me of work that has been anchored with all we’ve gone through and especially recently had completed.

This would be the new experience…to hold the energy of new we are creating and yet to be able to walk amidst other realities without charge and unseen unless we want to be.

Today we move on to Elk Island National Park just 2 hours from Saskatchewan…back to unique wildlife and aboriginal energy to continue anchoring in the new.

Kill the Buddha & Become

I felt a nudge to reshare this dream I had a week ago today, and what came forth from it along with these additional thoughts:

Presence of all multi-versions, potentials, visions, realities, past, present, future, up, down, diagonal, sideways, frontways, backways, etc….is a level of consciousness we are capable of and it can become more natural the more we engage it.

This is not work. This is our very birth right of ease and grace as creative energy in harmonious motion.

There is a spiraling of alchemy at work that is bringing forth new life and creative works, wisdom of senses, sacred embodiment, and more on a collective scale, right now.

And that comes with observing a rise of much seeming to be in opposition to that.

This is simply consciousness naturally cycling through and asking of our observation, acceptance, personal action, and flowing implementation in response to change.

There are many choices within this unfolding that one can make.

Where you place your energy and focus, where you fight and take opposition, simply recognize what that inevitably manifests and where it derives from as the root of your own journey towards wholeness.

Decide if a continued experience of duality is your choosing, or if you believe that there are other ways that your cellular intelligence and creative capacities could be alchemizing into new realities without repeating the same one in different clothing over and over.

Jasper Gates

20160813_143436_resized

After journeying through the veils we arrived at our home for the week in Jasper Gates Resort last Sunday, just outside of Jasper National Park. This past week proved to be much more quiet, restful, balancing, and clarifying from the last week’s adventures. And although the energy continued to feel odd and there was a continuation of cosmic portal and timeline themes abound, I was feeling empowered and centered, enjoying the cleansing rains that came through and the serenity of the hikes we chose that were supported by the animals that showed up.

We took our time easing into things, taking it easy throughout the week and honoring how we felt.

DSCF9005DSCF8996DSCF9007DSCF8998DSCF9008

One of the hikes we chose included the Pocahontas Trail, which took us by Punchbowl Falls that is pretty hidden even when climbing down to them, past Pocahontas Campground, and to the Old Mine Site. It wasn’t the most exciting trail, as everything was less than extraordinary, but the forest walk and the view of the Pocahontas Ponds at top were lovely. A butterfly started this hike off, but I found it was dead upon examining if it needed help. Transmutation at hand.

20160809_203204_resized

We spent a lot of downtime at our rv campsite focusing on the journey ahead, getting caught up on things, resting, me painting, and also giving the Magick Bus a thorough cleaning from top to bottom to purify. It always feels incredibly shifting to clean out or do some major cleaning, which after last week’s dance with some undercurrents of challenging forces at work, felt so refreshing to move out energies.

20160808_181142_resized

We also made an evening out of visiting the Miette Hot Springs at the beginning of our week, to relax and receive nurturing and soothing that brings us intimately in touch with our nature – both being water signs (Pisces and Scorpio) – and aligns us with the purification and healing we feel we are here doing in this area.

20160808_194454_resized

It is no coincidence that there is a weather low going on in this whole area since we’ve hit Canada, which has brought a cold front and a lot of rain that they normally don’t experience.

Coincidence? I think not. There is purpose in this alignment and this shift in weather patterns.

The hot springs were deep in the canyon and we walked the short trail that takes you to the “source of the hot springs” before actually going to the pools, and to the old ruins of the original hot springs pool facility.

20160808_183341_resized

This felt symbolic of returning to our original source and essence, releasing the old, revisiting the past from a different perspective of release and integration, and rebuilding a new foundation for complete recreation that is in process.

Perfect before the new anchoring sets in that we are creating.

These hot springs are one of three major hot springs that emerge along the Sulphur Creek, which are the hottest springs in the Canadian Rockies. Their temperature indicates that the water descends at least 1500 meters below where we stood and then resurfaces at this source, bearing heat and dissolving minerals from the rock it encounters below.

20160808_183729_resized

All symbolic again, as well.

Our week continued relaxed and included two visits into the city of Jasper itself and several more hikes.

One of which was by Jasper Park Lodge, hiking the beautiful Lake Beauvert, which it sits upon. It was a rainy, but mystical day and geese were all around us again (remembering back to their presence greatly along the journey in other places). The color of the lake contrasted the pale and brilliant aquas and sea greens of the glacial lakes we’ve been seeing with rich teals, cobalts, and emeralds.

20160809_171052_resized20160809_171332_resized20160809_173429_resized20160809_175644_resized20160809_174400_resized20160809_175755_resized20160809_175958_resized

After this hike we explored the lodge itself and the beautiful rainbow flower beds.

20160809_170606_resized

There, I nuzzled into the bear energy out front – merging mine with theirs and receiving their nurturing empowerment as my own.

20160809_181541_resized

And we enjoyed some delicious vegan pizza at Famoso Neopolitan Pizzeria in Jasper, while of course stocking up on some groceries at two of the downtown stores.

We didn’t spend much time in the city, nor did we venture too deeply within the park, as we were sensing exactly what felt most aligned and nurturing and honoring that.

There was a lot of wildlife encounters though, which included our drives through the park. I shared photos of the ones I was able to capture on camera, but there were many more I couldn’t since I was driving.

It was wildlife central at times with many animals all convening at the same time and place. To see some of them you can visit my post here:

Animal Friends of Jasper

For instance, one of these times I was driving us back home and we came across an elk grazing at the highway’s edge like the messenger of what was coming just ahead. A couple of minutes later a coyote crosses the highway from where a small group of elk were enjoying dinner among the trees, while a bald eagle sat above on a branch, and school of large trout were jumping out of the lake behind. Incredible!

Some of the other hikes we did included a short one around Edith Lake, which also proved to be another incredibly rich day of wildlife encounters all packed into one including a golden eagle, elk buck, and a family of big horned sheep, including two babies.

DSCF9029DSCF9031DSCF9036DSCF9037

We also hiked out in the city of Jasper of itself on the Mina – Riley Lakes Loop seeing frogs, dragonflies, loons, golden ducks and on the way, 6 male bighorn sheep all resting at the top edge of a cliff laying together as a group.

DSCF9026DSCF9027DSCF9058DSCF9061DSCF9063

I loved seeing the frogs – two of them in fact – swimming and hanging out with me. I haven’t seen them in quite some time and recognize their potency as amphibian energy is so powerful. This felt very reflective for me to come upon this little ones and so I sat immersed in their teachings.

During our week we also ventured out to William A. Switzer Provincial Park in Hinton and did a variety of short hikes around Kelley’s Bathtub and the surrounding lakes. This area is home of the Great Gray Owl and on this hike I kept coming up on feathers in the path, including one from the owl. I was grateful for its blessing, but released it back to the forest, as I felt this particular feather was not for me to take home, but to receive its energy while I was within the forest…taking away with me a greater understanding and embodiment of the cosmic mysteries.

20160813_144114_resized20160813_145531_resized20160813_144408_resized

As you’ll see in the photos captured, there is a serenity within these images, less dramatic than some of the visuals I’ve shared in others, and this was both a welcome experience, as well as telling of the subtleties abound to consciously navigate since not all things will be obvious.

Today we are off to Edmonton, Alberta. I’ll share more soon on changes that have anchored.

Wishing you all peace and serenity as you navigate these times.

Animal Friends of Jasper

This past week in Jasper National Park has continued with more beautiful animal encounters, which always ends up being one of the main highlights for me, as the connection they share with me is most valuable and meaningful in my life. Medicine and messages came through a variety of souls in animal bodies including bighorn sheep, elk, golden eagle, geese, golden ducks, loons, bald eagle, coyote, butterflies, frogs, dragonflies, squirrels, trout, and deer. Again, I’m not always able to capture every moment and animal in a photo share, however I do believe those I do are the ones who have something to share for us all.

And if you missed last week’s incredible animal guides that showed up in the Lake Louise and Banff National Park area, you can see them here:

Frequency Holders of the New

In times like these we need those of you who are the frequency holders to keep strong within that personal embodiment of pure energy you are here to emanate, regardless of what is going on all around, and yet transmuting it as you walk through it. I’ve been sharing my take on purpose being about the presence you bring to anything you do, and for some within the collective that is simply, but importantly, about being present with your frequency and song that you sing, above all else, and carrying this through anything you choose to be engaged in along your path. For these people, life is about doing everything as a sacred and seamless act – there is no separation as to what defines sacredness. These are the souls helping to anchor the new and may not live life out loud in the sense of being famous, but quietly do their most important work from behind-the-scenes and remain somewhat just under the radar. Much is tearing apart at the seams and being tugged to extremes right now, which all has its purpose and will create a mirroring reality of individual choosing. These frequency holders will embody new realities within the creatively unlimited potentialities of a middle way.

Stay strong. Your energy is much needed and your courage is much honored.

The Quiet Strength within the Loud Storm ~ Lee Harris Energy Update

I think this energy update from Lee Harris will ring in for some of you. I definitely am experiencing the rapid transformation he speaks about, along with the recalibration being in full effect for sure. I’ve also experienced a retrieval of a new depth of inner strength by pulling within and that’s come with the shedding of more layers and facing shadow forces at work in very dramatic ways. It’s taken a lot out of me recently to continue holding my personal frequency amidst everything, but hold I am and figuring out ways to nurture my needs along the way to keep strong and vibrant.

Lee also provides some key points that are addressed in the video, along with some self care tips:

* August will have a Quiet Intensity – you will be most balanced and find an inner strength if you find ways to pull back from the outer intensity.

* Fast releasing of Inner-Shadows – the personal mirror of the collective revealing/releasing of shadows will have the same effect on you – your thoughts, beliefs and emotions.

* This speed of change can create disorientation or confusion – this is normal in short phases so let it be. You are just recalibrating and becoming ‘new’.

* Don’t judge yourself for having dips or downward moments – let them be there without judgement and they will pass at rapid speed.

* Notice you are becoming hyper-aware at what does and doesn’t work for you now. You will change patterns based on what you notice.

* If you like following others, or being the empath who lets others lead, that is changing fast. Time for you to experiment with self-leadership! You can’t make a mistake – just choices that you can change if they don’t work the way you thought you might.

Self-care tips:

* If you’re down, don’t get hard on yourself for it. Just let yourself be low for a moment and remind yourself it will pass.

* Isolation can be healing until it isn’t. Balance your alone-time with well chosen community moments with supportive people and environments.

* Develop a practice of doing something good for yourself every day: Exercise, a walk in the garden, meditation, listening to music with eyes closed. A moment where you step out of the world and be with you.

* Set Goals/Intentions – this moves energy in a forward direction.

* Keep a Daily Gratitude Journal – this helps you be present to the blessings in your life, and more aligned with the now and abundant in the future as a result.

Small Acts of Compassion Have Far-Reaching Effects

What you may not know about Cosmo is like many other abandoned and neglected animals, he has gone through quite a challenged life and has contributed much to both animals and humans alike. It is those very challenges that aligned him with his path and helped a voice from the voiceless to emerge.

He was dumped at the doorsteps of the Humane Society’s Hollywood Office in a cardboard box with nothing in it and left there with several high risk physical issues that luckily they took care of right away and were able to see him pull through to good health.

Everyone at the Humane Society was overwhelmed by his demeanor, saying he was the sweetest and most loving bunny they had ever met.

cosmo

Because of his calm, sweet temperament and loving to be held, he became the new ambassador for the Humane Society International – End Animal Testing Campaign in China, being featured with actress Zhu Zhu – the first Chinese celebrity to ever speak out about animal testing in China.

He never had a real home until now, being moved around to foster families. And it was at his last foster home where his spinal injury took place under unknown circumstances, leaving him unable to walk anymore. He also was diagnosed with a lot of arthritis, an enlarged heart (no surprise there since he is pure, ever-giving love in abundance), and onset of cataracts.

20150925_064732_resized

His foster family wasn’t committed to nor capable of caring for his special needs, including daily bathing, and through divine alignment, that is when I heard his call and we were brought together.

We bonded the moment I held him the first time, recognizing each other immediately. He had a different name then that was not suited for his soul and immediately I received the whisper it would be changed to Cosmo.

cosmo5

Through patience, commitment, and love, we’ve seen him grow stronger, have huge break-throughs, and in general, but most importantly, come to know he has a forever, loving home. More recently his condition has plateaued and our days are simply filled with making sure he knows only peace and love.

He places complete trust in our bond. We have a relationship that is like child and mother, best friends, soulmates, and spiritual colleagues able to communicate crystal clear through a variety of channels. He is my constant companion.

Now, at almost 10 and a half years old (and a year and 7 months with us already), I am blessed and honored to be able to provide quality care and companionship for Cosmo in his golden years (that’s like 100 in rabbit years), have cherished seeing him experience his first bonding relationship of love and best friend companionship with my now transitioned rabbit, Joy (a first for her too), and have witnessed his gifts flourish, which included standing by proudly while he received his Reiki Master Teacher training from Joy in my presence.

Joy and Cosmo3.jpg

Through his journey and story I’ve been sharing extensively since his arrival with us, he has continued to be of service to many and an example of living in grace despite challenges.

He has and continues to be one of my greatest teachers on a daily basis and I’m so grateful that I can provide him such deserved peace and harmony in his remaining years and time he chooses to be here.

My life was forever changed in the most dramatic of ways when Cosmo – a name that means the whole Universe (from Cosmos), as well as order, harmony, beauty, completeness – walked into my heart again.

And this is how I see him…whole, complete, and beautifully harmonious, exactly as he is.

Never take for granted the power of any small act of compassion, as the effects are beyond your mind’s grasp.

Purpose is Presence

20160809_091208.jpg

Everything you do can be a spiritual experience.

If you find yourself currently in an experience, job, etc. that is not what your heart dreams of, rather than let the mind take over and create misery with its judgments, allow the heart to see every situation’s potentials for spiritual growth and soul evolution on your journey.

You are in the perfect place right now and PURPOSE is the PRESENCE you bring to that moment.

When you wage a war upon things, the battle you experience is only within yourself.

Relaxing into the journey and being present to recognize the gifts along the way, will provide guiding lights of transmutation your heart can then embrace.

Life is an experience you choose and create each moment.

~ A Different Perspective on Purpose: What if Purpose Looked Like This?

I know that many of you are in constant search of your PURPOSE.

And you define yourself by something outside of you that you do in order to feel a certain way about yourself that if removed, would leave you feeling empty.

Or, you try to piece together what you think you should be doing in order to fit a certain idea.

I’ve shared that search for challenging and exhausting years myself.

And it wasn’t until I stopped searching, and started being present with myself and what was naturally moving through me in the moment that I relaxed into what was showing up in the stream of energy.

This stream of energy was always the present undercurrent, but I was struggling to swim ahead of it.

This stream of energy may shift, but being present within it and what is showing up supplied my purpose.

From there I simply could choose what flowed with that energy stream and felt joyful and in harmony with it.

Whether that was creating something new from that energy stream or showing up more within my current experiences with all of me, there was no essential difference.

Purpose resides in the grace of presence.

Purpose is your showing up in complete presence with this moment and every moment thereafter.

The rest naturally unfolds from there.

I shared this photo, as it reflects the state of sweet presence.

And in that present moment they (Cosmo and Dave) are fulfilling their purpose.

Mornings have become our favorite times to anchor in “being” for ungauged periods, because this helps us to be in that state of presence and awareness, setting the tone for the day.

There’s no greater guide in my life for this than precious Cosmo who is ever-present and embodying purpose.

Mornings spent just holding him, as he sleeps, stirs and licks us, brings us into peaceful surrender to that presence.

Nothing else matters but that eternal and potent moment of rich presence of being.

And all things become clear.

Cosmo is my cherished teacher for all new realities in creation.

Kill the Buddha & Become

I’m sharing last night’s dream for what ever it’s worth and what I, personally, took away from it. As always, please derive your own messages.

I was carrying two things in my hand. I don’t remember what one of them was, but the other was a small sacred box.

It reminded me of, and I thought at first it was, the cedar box my Nestor’s ashes are in, but it turned out to be a different sacred box, with a handle at top and I realized I was carrying the ashes of Buddha in it.

Then, someone was tattooing my face, but it felt larger than it is. What they were tattooing were giant black eyebrows in the shape you see of Buddha’s and the Buddha Eyes. So I had these larger than life black tattooed eyebrows and somehow I proportionately shifted into a much larger size to wear them.

I feel this is about enlightenment being to symbolically “kill” the Buddha and BECOME.

In addition, what we think of reality is an impermanent illusion and when you feel you’ve arrived at some idea or “correct” version of enlightenment, “killing” that idea, detaching from it, and continuing to creatively expand into other realms of possibility may be of great growth potential.

The dream reflects on a Middle Way, or other continuously evolving potential versions and realities that exist outside of duality, which has pervaded my explorations more greatly of late.

Exploring, Unveiling & Rebirthing in the Lake Louise & Banff Area

DSCF8988

Last week was one I will not forget. Some major energetic shifts, literal timeline jumps, and bigger picture energetics unfolded that were life changing and potent indeed. The details are far too involved and likely too challenging to convey for understanding and I’m not feeling guided to go into sharing at this time. However, I will share nature’s beauty that was surrounding us during our week in the Lake Louise and Banff areas to focus on the magick and mystery so richly around and available to navigate, yet not for the faint of heart and soul.

tania2

I will say that since being in Canada I’ve felt a big energetic shift in general and in the very touristy, packed areas of Banff and Lake Louise I sense energy dynamics that were not once there in years previous, but creating quite a vortex of energy to navigate through with utmost conscious, heightened awareness.

I continue to find myself drawn into experiences and traversing where healing, harmonizing, and balancing energies are desired by the sacred land and collective. And I will say that that path is not an easy one to be on and embracing it has me walking fine lines and slipping through veils, not to mention encountering and working with challenging energies and forces.

20160801_184425_resized

Here is a generalized summary of where we explored, for anyone who may feel called to visit the area, or who wants to know what they’re looking at, interspersed with photos from the week.

rainbow2

First day: Bow Lake and Glacier Falls Hike where an amazing magickal rainbow greeted us. A sign and affirmation that all would unfold divinely, regardless of how it seemed.

rainbow1rainbow4rainbow5DSCF8732DSCF8734DSCF8735DSCF8737DSCF8748DSCF8749DSCF8750DSCF8755DSCF8758DSCF8796

Second day: Lunch and errands in Banff at Nourish Bistro (an all vegan and vegetarrian restaurant), followed by grocery stocking up at Nester’s Market (Nestor was strongly by my side) and checking out the Banff gondola, and returning near our campground to hike around Moraine Lake.

20160801_145427_resized20160801_161409_resized20160801_184304_resized20160801_185640_resized20160801_185936_resized20160801_190446_resized20160801_190508_resized20160801_190611_resized

Third day: Lunch at Indian Curry House in Banff (delicious!) before kayaking from Banff Falls to Canmore on the Bow River, which had been delayed the previous day, ending up falling on the Leo New Moon of this day. Did 10 miles on it then hiked 4 and a half on this portal day of potent and transformative unfoldings. My friend Janet and a new friend of hers, Anna, had just arrived that evening, picked us up, and we had dinner together in Lake Louise Village. Saw an osprey and our first great blue heron in a long time on the river this day.

Fourth day: Took it easy, rested, painted, took care of things at home, then made our way to Lake Louise seeing some deer, caught some orbs for the first time around the front of the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, then hiked around Lake Louise seeing beautiful white seagulls on the aqua glacial water, as well as golden-mantled ground squirrel.

Fifth day: More painting, then picked up Janet and Anna from their hike nearby leaving them at Moraine Lake Lodge to rest while we hiked to Consolation Lakes and connected with a hoary marmot. We returned to the lodge for refreshments and snacks and made plans to meet up with Janet and Anna again later at the Upper Banff Hot Springs for a relaxing soak after another visit to Nester’s Market. We saw a large black bear running along the edge of the forest on our way there.

Sixth day: Janet and Anna left to head back to my friend Hillary’s ranch where they are working and we took the Lake Louise Gondola up the mountain to see the stunning views while hiking around a bit. I found some raw quartz at the top of the mountain and golden eagle sighting. Upon returning to our Lake Louise Campground we took a walk along the Bow River – the same we had kayaked down, which runs along the campground and is just across the way from our site.

Seventh day:  Packed a picnic lunch and drove out toward the icefields. We missed the turn and ended up on the other highway, which aligned us in perfect time for sightings. It took us to the spiral tunnels where we perfectly timed seeing a massively long train (longest I’ve ever seen) go through them, then as we turned back to our car, on the right of the highway we came across a second black bear. Then as we neared our destination of Bow Summit Lookout Trail we came upon two grizzlies, one of which was still there on the way back after the hike. We stopped to connect more, as they munched on berries coming about 15 feet from the car, just completely absorbed in filling their bellies on berry delicacies so we were able to peacefully tune in with them. On the hike another marmot was hanging out taking in the view with us overlooking the stunning vista of Peyto Lake and Glacier. And another golden-mantled ground squirrel said hello. There were tons of amazing mushrooms on this hike of many varieties.

Eight day: On our last day of transitioning from Banff National Park to Jasper National Park, we stopped at the Columbia Icefield where we were surrounded by glaciers galore and beautiful vistas of this glacial zone. We stopped and had lunch in the rv overlooking the glaciers and took in the sights, as well as stopped in at the Glacier Discovery Center. We didn’t take any of the helicopter or adventure rides out on the glacier, nor did we do the skywalk, which is further down the highway, as there were so many people and we’d already experienced this in a much more intimate way in Alaska, so just being in the energy and seeing these glaciers was powerful enough. I did manage to get a photo of the Glacier Adventure vehicle out on the glacier though.

Our 5+ hour journey from Banff National Park to Jasper National Park took us through this vista, which to me symbolized, most literally, the veils that were crossed during the week’s experiences and the new realities of potential manifesting through the journey as I continue embracing more of my essence including my inner mountain goat.

We are now at our new home at the gateway to Jasper National Park and the energy has shifted and continues integrating into more clarity and balance. There are changes with our journey upcoming and with things for me personally too, but still working that out right now. Just listening to the messages and going where the energy is guiding.
