Tom has such a quirky unique way of expressing things, but his insights are poignant and relevant, I feel, and he has a way of getting right to the point. I feel he hits the nail on the head with the energy landscape right now – at least from where I am perceiving things. What do you think?
This post came back around to me this morning synchronously and it felt very “in tune” to reshare. I adore Benjamin Zander and his infectious joy of life and I heart-fully love his way of perceiving things.
There are some key and powerful insights, some of which I quoted, that he shares in the video on the transformative power of classical music (music which I enjoy immensely)….my favorites have to do with “shining eyes”.
The question to ask yourself is, “Who are you being that others eyes are not shining?” When you stand in the joyous wholeness and love of your divine and natural beauty, you shine a light for others to do the same.

One of the most liberating and empowering things I have discovered over the course of 25+ years of searching, studies, and self-reflection, is that the secret to beginning to discover your natural frequency of authenticity is much more simple than it seems, or that you’ve been led to believe it is.
Everything outside of yourself is simply a tool to discover what all of those “things” are reflecting about what you already have inside of yourself. Recognition and full embodied embrace of this will help to unravel the stream of innate wisdom within the Source of you.
Part of this comes with recognition that you are a boundless multidimensional being with no real basis for fear, other than a decision to keep feeding and believing in it, in order to set up whatever teachings and experiences you choose need to go through.
Part of this comes with learning wise discernment that stems from the core truth of your heart and Divine Source Center. Everyday you are bombarded by so many levels of over-stimulation that comes even in the form of New Age spiritual explanations and teachings, along with every kind of “right” and “wrong” verbiage that can be very confusing, as they all will play see-saw with your mind and feelings, as well as negate and desecrate each other.
It’s a constant war of duality and “either/or” mentality, completing ignoring the myriad of possibilities and experiences that serve only the Law of Free Will that everyone conveniently forgets when they “seem” to discover some breakthrough that feels really good to them.
It can become very confusing to decipher truth, especially if you are seeking from “outside”, rather than turning “within” to run everything through your own heart filter.
I’m not negating the exploration of learning in whatever form you are led to, but I am making an emphasizing point that just because things “look” a certain way and a lot of people are following it, doesn’t make it the end-with-all answer. The answers will only come in the form of your own filtration of personal and authentic truth.
And far too often we are giving away our power and energy and feeling we need to keep searching for these epiphany answers and the flood of light that will bolt us out of this existence, in order to think and feel we are on the so-called “right” path and have discovered “the” answer.
Constant studies, while can help you to decipher what is you and what is not you, and to expand your perspectives, and abilities to discern and think wider, can also be a trap to keep you in perpetual soul-schooling devised to keep you from ever walking in the empowered embodiment of you that you already are.
It would be of benefit to take time in silence and in nature, to take portions of your days, or a day each week, to designate to feeling what it is like to be you outside of everything else in your life.
Yes, life will go on without you and you will benefit far greater than continuing to engage incessantly with the outside world, only. This will also help you to take back your energy and power and to learn what it feels to be in your frequency and what it feels like when something infiltrates that and takes you out of that balance, harmony, and centeredness.
You will learn very quickly how to then decipher what is really a reflection and alignment with YOUR truth because you’ll know when something triggers from outside, taking you off-kilter, and is just a passing story.
It will benefit you tremendously to stop all searching outside of yourself for fulfillment and start bringing your undivided focus and energy within yourself where the infinite Source of love, awareness, and liberating truth is.
It does not come without the need for courage to look within at all aspects of yourself, as it is here that you will also face your shadow parts – parts that are crucial and invaluable to the journey of wholeness you seek.
Laura Bruno succinctly expressed this belief I share, in her earlier post today:
“Part of effective Shadow Work includes sifting through the so-called darkness in order to find, heal and reclaim forgotten pieces of ourselves. We don’t transcend duality by rejecting half of it, but rather by empowering ourselves through love and wisdom, so that we can rebalance anything unnatural in ourselves and world.”
Yes, we have focused our attention long enough on the outside world and on every other thing possible that simply must have the answer or simply must be the “problem”. We also allow everything to suck us dry with worry over this, fear about that, who’s doing what, how you are told to look, act, feel, live, and what the next “quick fix” or “miracle” discovery is that will be the answer you seek.
But it is within your inner landscape, ultimately your best friend awaiting your recognition of her/his love for you, where clarity of the truth of who you are can reveal itself if you patiently, lovingly, and fearlessly reach out your hand in the dark to receive their eternally unwavering, outreached hand.
It is here that the answer lies and no where else. Any person or teacher that tells you otherwise, that doesn’t help to empower you into your own authenticity and truth, is someone to be wary of.
The inner world feels more unknown than anything outside because you have spent more waking hours exploring everywhere but there. This creates resistance, as the mind and ego doesn’t like the unfamiliar and certainly doesn’t want to know that it could be that easy to reflect within, when you’ve been taught that life is long, hard work, not to mention that there’s some ideal experience you must attain to reach.
It is ridiculous to think it could really be simple, right? It’s ridiculous to think that your natural essence is all there is to “be”. 😉 But it is.
And this unknown factor and the willingness to embrace your greatest fears and pains are the only reasons it may “seem” scary, but with engaging your FULL inner realm, this can become the most invaluable, fulfilling, and irreplaceable treasure you’ve ever experienced or had.
As I expressed in resounding agreement with this month’s energy forecast from Lee Harris:
I fully believe and agree that the more centered and grounded you are, the more ready you are and will be for ANYTHING that comes your/our way. And the more centered you are, the more empowered you will be.
Embracing your own sovereignty of heart, you are untouchable to anything and anyone.
And the more you reveal of your authentic self, the more whole and powerful you will become.
This truly feels like a year of catalysts for change that present opportunity for huge innovative and enhancing shifts, regardless of how your current experiences may seem.
I’m a big believer in the experiential and how this can facilitate transformative integration. So part of my joy and service is in creating and facilitating ways to activate and embody that most naturally.

Reiki 3 Master Teacher Workshop

Accelerated Reiki 1 -3 Workshops

Whales have been showing up a lot in my waking life since the end of last year – seeing whales breaching and spouting out in the ocean from the cliffs at the beach. However, Friday, as I was walking with a friend along the beach, a couple of younger whales came to play with us, just literally yards away from the edge of the sand, so that we could see them beautifully surfacing and submerging, over and over. It was such a rare gift.
It also reminded me how when I was a very young child, I had this recurring dream for years that continued into my late teens and early twenties that involved a very dark inner room that had a very large pool of dark water where a very large whale was that I would visit in my dreams. I can still feel the energy around this dream and the smells that came along with it, but it was very deliberate, exaggeratedly in slow motion, and at times some trepidation of this subconscious and primordial depth of shadow and emotion I was exploring and afraid of falling in to.
But fast forward to today, where I no longer have that dream, nor the trepidation, but instead am visited at perfect moments by living whales in conscious time.
Friday’s beautiful gift again had me reviewing their symbolism, which I like to explore each time I encounter an animal friend and guide in my day-to-day.
I thought perhaps you may enjoy to read a little about the messages of whales if you too are visited by them in dream and waking life.
Whales represent grace, power of song, strength, intuition, looking deep within yourself for clear answers, and knowledge from the past. Their songs signify creativity, teaching you to tune in to your creative inspiration and to use it to enhance your life and in service to others. When they show up they may be signaling you to be mindful of your choices and how to align with divine timing, as well as how to use what you have most efficiently.
The whale’s gifts include being a record keeper for all eternity, all knowledge associated with voice, all aspects of the sea, beauty of movement, psychic and telepathic abilities, wisdom, provider, inner depth.
Particularly of interest to me is their use of the rhythm and patterns of sound, as they teach us to hear our inner voices, to be in touch with our personal truths and wisdom, and feeling the heartbeat of the Universe within us.
Whales show you how to submerge deep within yourself to draw from your inner creativity and imagination, but in a practical way so as not to get lost in your imagination, but to live in every-day reality, bringing forth your creative expression tangibly.
When creativity is sparked through whale teaching, it is not simply for sake of creativity, but to awaken the depth of inspiration you can infuse with your own creative intuition to create magickal and powerful formulas for life. It is a reminder of sharing your unique self-expression through all that you do and make your own music, as you flow with the rhythm of you. Whales will teach you how to create with song – something very important in my life indeed.
Avia Venefica of Whats-Your-Sign.com always shares some great perspectives and deep explorations on symbolism and signs, and her feelings into whale symbolism I find to be really insightful.
Here are things she shares on the symbolism of whales and having whale as a Totem Animal Spirit Guide:
“Where the edge of land ends and the fringe of vast oceans begins is a threshold of mammoth proportions. To garner in-depth understanding of symbolic whale meaning, we’ve got to pay homage to its environment, the oceans of our planet.
The oceans, and water in general holds age-old symbolism of emotional depth. As humans, we all experience an array of emotions. Some are on the surface; we can experience these emotions easily because they float on top of our life-experience as driftwood on the surface of the water. We can observe these top-layer emotions clearly, they are familiar and we deal with them daily. Other emotions, however, run very deep within us. Some emotions we burry beneath the fathoms of our consciousness; these emotions are the leviathans of our being – the lumbering beasts we dare not let surface.
From this perspective, we can easily relate to the depth and breadth of water with the essence of emotions. Given its habitat is the water realms, the totem meaning of the whale largely deals with emotions too. The whale symbolizes emotional creativity, well-being, nurturing as well as emotional depth.
Those who are magnetized by whale energy will tend to be incredibly deep in sensitivity. The depth of feeling whale-totem-people endure can be overwhelming. Whale people are super-perceptive about the feelings of those around them, and this can manifest into an internal pressure that can be quite crushing. The whale can help with overwhelment of feelings and even temper the onslaught of emotions picked up from other people too. If you are extraordinarily affected by the emotions of others, or your own emotions are so intense as to cause discomfort, your whale totem can help.
Why? Because whales are masters of:
Navigation: Moving through emotional depths
Communication: Effectively expressing emotional experiences
Conservation: Using emotional energy for fuel and not being consumed by emotional floods
We’ve all had a scary task to set before us, a heavy task with potentially frightening responsibilities placed on our shoulders. When we turn away from these responsibilities (knowing what we should do, yet refusing) it churns up massive emotional upheaval. We become swallowed ourselves in an emotional quagmire. We stew in our emotional soup, until we reach a boiling point. We all struggle with emotional buildup over choices we need to make, or even those choices we cannot bear to execute. Some of us, after days and nights of stewing within the womb of the soul, finally emerge (spit from the whale, so to speak) with renewed determination and a rekindling of faith. Others of us return to the emotional abyss until we can process our fears and indecision into a more refined state of being.
This kind of emotional swallowing, digesting and processing is key to whale totem meaning. Luckily, the whale can facilitate emotional clarity, and help us navigate through the often ambiguous and confusing seas of emotion. Whales themselves are incredibly nurturing; we see this in how they raise their young as well as their close-knit connection to others in their community herds or pods. Whales, and those with whale totems have a natural affinity for helping, especially promoting well-being within their community. People who are attracted to the whale often feel devoted to a greater cause, and although they may struggle with their own personal emotions, they tend to naturally conjure healing powers towards others in emotional trauma.
Does this sound familiar to you? If you have these tendencies, I encourage you to swim deeply with the whale in your meditations and prayers. Navigating the emotional waters with the whale by your side will afford guidance and clarity.
Whales ask us to embrace the unknown, and that’s precisely why they are so connected to the emotional depths of the oceans. To be sure, our current circumstances are born from an emotional womb. In other words, our reality is intrinsically connected to our thought and our emotional choices. It can be frustrating and confusing to track down the emotional origin of the stuff that’s manifested in our lives, and the whale can help us understand, on a deeper level, the actions that have caused unrest in our daily life.
In many sects of Native wisdom, the whale is symbolic of the beginning, the creation of all life on earth as we know it. They aren’t the only ones. Countless cultures around the globe associate themes of creation, birth and rebirth with the whale. Other symbolic suggestions to add to whale totem meaning include:
Deeper Awareness
Cosmic Consciousness
Emotional Rebirth and Understanding
Nurturing and Devotion to Community
Appreciation for Beauty, (especially song and dance)
The Importance of Balance (emotional and otherwise)”
The whale helps you to find greater and more expansive clarity within your deep emotional world, which will lead you to creative inspiration that is wanting to surface into your life as an adventurous experience, rather than a safe-harbored “wish”.
I’ve been in the sacred tattoo design vortex here, and today’s share is nothing short than magickal indeed.
I loved working this client, who immediately proved to be much more than that, and what has unfolded between us energetically and through this design has just been breath-taking.
That being said, I’m going to keep this tattoo design share, short and sweet, as I believe the photo speaks for itself.
Sometimes when I photograph my designs, some odd energy and light effects take place, and this happened again last night as I tried to capture this image. What appeared, to me, is pretty wild.
The second image to the right, is the more flat, regular drawing and the first one on the left is where the magick happened.
I love how the energy and lighting falls on the design, creating that ethereal quality and essence that IS emanating from it, even if you can’t see it JUST by looking at the design. These sacred pieces ARE alive and pulsing with presence and energy, as the potent portals they are.
Look how the light from top left illuminates through their crowns and from the Flower of Life design that is slowly materializing there. And look at that glowing soft blue light from bottom that is like wow! as it is flowing from the bottom Flower of Life design.
As mentioned, I feel the design speaks for itself, so the only few things I’ll share are these very basics about the main elements:
Isis (as an aspect of my client/her wholeness/empowered/Divine Feminine/Goddess essence) – she is a dance choreographer and powerful creative healing visionary

Flower of Life in an artistic version that brings creation from the void into life here – I was inspired by the oldest to date Flower of Life I had opportunity to see at the Temple of Osiris at Abydos, in Egypt, to infuse into this piece Egyptian-to-modern-day-inspired piece
Isis/my client is creating alchemy and magick as the child of the stars that she is, evident by her hands as that magician quality where she is mastering all elements to create from in this “dance” of life she shares. There is also shapeshifter energy and shaman of the arts and all things beautiful here.
I’ve added a bursting lotus “crown” at the hawk’s head emanating in open and expanding consciousness – honoring Horus.
In ancient Egypt, the hawk was considered a royal bird and a symbol of the soul (ba). Isis is said to have shape shifted into a Hawk to save Osiris. Horus also carried Hawk medicine which allowed him to see the “unseeable”.
I loved the way the vision came through in wrapped wings that double as both Hawk’s and Isis’ wings, also reminding me of an angel wrapping around supportively – sharing its presence is always there when needed.
And I created soft edges to everything as if it is all just starting to materialize and coming into manifestation from star dust.
I hope you enjoy exploring this image, as much as I enjoyed creating it into life. Can’t wait to see this in the flesh.

Prompted by an article post by Laura and Jon yesterday, as well as what I continue to see and feel in the collective field, this article felt important to circulate back around again about the “loose ends” of The Law of Attraction that are being overlooked, as it continues to be a feeding ground for many as an unsustainable, quick-fix that in many cases is applied out of fear. My post goes hand-in-hand with Laura’s insights and Jon’s article, which you can read in full here: Why the Law of Attraction Fails.
Everything we’ve come to know – even if it seems spiritually-based and feels to be new, doesn’t mean it is the end-with-all in answer. Keep an open heart, as you explore the depths of your own truth before fully adopting the next spiritual “Secret” just because its prevalent in the community. There are a lot of great insights and tools out there, but the fullness of answers will come in your own exploration, as many just scratch the surface and become new doctrine. I can’t express enough how important it is to go within your own heart and use that barometer to align with what matches your personal frequency.
As I’m in the midst of working on sacred tattoo designs here, I found this article shared by a dear friend of mine -thanks Jim!! – to be quite a cool and synchronous read. The article shares about a 2500 year-old mummy of a Siberian “Princess” – known as the Ukok Princess – and two mummies of “warrior” men who were discovered 19 years ago on the remote Ukok Plateau, about 2,500 meters up in the Altai Mountains, close to the border frontiers of Russia with Mongolia, China and Kazakhstan.
I LOVE the elaborate and beautiful designs of these nomadic Pazyryk people, which are seen to be the “best preserved and most elaborate ancient tattoos anywhere in the world”.
We all remember the “Ice Man” – Otzi – found in the Alps and his ancient tattoos, which are much older, but were no where near the incredible artistry of the Pazyryks’ tattoos, as he had only lines and dots.
The Siberian Princess is said to have died around age 25-28 over 2500 years ago, which makes her “some five centuries older than Jesus Christ, and several hundred years the senior of Alexander the Great”.
She was buried with six horses – her spiritual escorts to the next world and symbols of her status. It is thought she may have been “more likely a revered folk tale narrator, a healer or a holy woman than an ice princess”.
Nonetheless, these tattoos had much meaning and symbolism to the Pazyryks, and across time, this has held true for all ancient cultures.
I love how the Pazyryks used animal imagery as a form of language to represent their thoughts. Wearing many animals myself, I do understand. 🙂
They were also used to define their status in society and in the world, and the more tattoos a person had, the higher their position, and the longer it meant that they lived. Again, as I point out in my book, Spiritual Skin, it is interesting how things changed and how tattoos began to be looked down upon in modern times.
Since the princess had only her two arms tattooed, it signified her younger age, as well as her status.
