Risk False Security to Gain Wholeness – When You Receive Direction from Your Intuitive Self Do You Listen?

in-the-pyramid-vortexHave you noticed how more and more you are being asked to trust your intuition and follow through in support of what its message is? Intuition seems to be a common and prevalent theme to pay attention to, from what I’m hearing, sensing, and experiencing, and what I find is that we simply don’t have the luxury or the grace period we used to, to NOT listen and act up on it anymore.

I was talking to my friend yesterday about this, as we strolled along the beach, and she shared the same has been coming up strongly for her in terms of needing to be very mindful and honoring of her intuition and when I shared the story below with her, she was grateful for the reminder and the message. Our own experiences are not just helpful for our own processes, but can also help others going through the same. This is why I like to share things I go through, as I find it always is connected to and supportive for what others are feeling.

Along our walk some both interesting and magical, immediate messages/signs took place as well, which is simply evidence of the instantaneous and “now” experience of everything when you put out a question or intention, speak a truth from your heart, and get a feeling you act on or disregard. The effects of synchronicity, gifts, messages, and help asked for, all come immediately.

A very strange/synchronous appearance of a large dead Moray Eel showed up on the beach, as my friend was sharing something with me (an odd sighting I have never seen before and was quite “alien” looking in its bloated form.) It was definitely a message, symbolic of the conversation and the fact that I believe it had been spear hunted (as I saw a puncture through the side of its neck where water was bubbling out), and the eyes were missing, also had meaning. Later, after I was discussing Marsh Hawks and their graceful appearances in my life quite often and recently, as well as saying how much I LOVE them, I immediately found a hawk feather on the beach (my second hawk feather, but very interesting to find it along the shoreline, as I usually see the hawks on hikes or more inland). A lovely and magical message for me in reciprocating love and vision.

And messages come in many forms, but the most important and originating form, is as your intuition.

Here’s what Shakti Gawain shares about intuition in her book, “Living in the Light” :

“The true solution is to re-educate ourselves to listen to and trust the inner truths that come to us through our intuitive feelings. We must learn to act on them, even though it may feel risky and frightening at first, because we are no longer playing it safe, doing what we “should” do, pleasing others, following rules, or deferring to outside authority. To live this way is to risk losing everything that we have held onto for reasons of external (false) security, but we will gain integrity, wholeness, true power, creativity, and the real security of knowing that we are in alignment with the power of the universe.

I am not attempting to disregard or eliminate the rational mind by suggesting that our intuitive awareness is the guiding force in our lives. The intellect is a very powerful tool, best used to support and give expression to our intuitive wisdom, rather than to suppress our intuition as we now use it. Most of us have programmed our intellect to doubt our intuition. When an intuitive feeling arises, our rational minds immediately say, “I don’t think that will work,” “nobody else is doing it that way,” or “what a foolish idea,” and the intuition is disregarded.

As we move into the new world, it is time to re-educate our intellect to recognize the intuition as a valid source of information and guidance. We must train our intellect to listen to and express the intuitive voice. The intellect is by nature very disciplined and this discipline can help us to ask for and receive the direction of the intuitive self.”

We all have our moments when we are a little “off”, not fully balanced, have a lot going on and may not be functioning as clearly as we are used to in terms of hearing or supporting our intuition – and all of this is perfect and not anything to get upset about, judge, or get stressed over – it’s simply part of the evolution of your soul and is so beautifully assisting you to greater heights and depths of experience. Once you become aware of something, just make the new adjustments and changes to support it, and move forward. There will always be something new to learn, but over time, perhaps they will be just that – new things 😉

I know that for myself, if I for one second don’t act upon my intuition, I will get a very large Universal/Cosmic message and sign immediately as a reminder that I know better and I simply can’t afford at this stage in my experience to disregard anything I feel and know. Part of this has to do with not only it being important personally to my path, but in terms of the connective thread of that path with the collective, in responsible service, it is all interwoven with. Every choice made is not isolated to ourselves and has impact in greater ways than we realize. I’ve seen how ultra-presence is needed always in choosing responsibly. This is why I am very much more discerning about things in my life now and don’t put myself in unnecessary risk of anything, if I can help it. While I know I am always protected, I also know I can’t go around acting irresponsibly. You can always shift something by a choice that will set a different course.

Luckily, there are very few times anymore that I do not listen and act on my intuition, but if I don’t, the experience seems very tied into something large I am working on in terms of my path. So the small “random” seeming thing I didn’t listen to, is connected to a larger picture I’m being asked to move into. But, as shared, whereas in the past I had more leeway, now I find that immediately I will get a very loud reminder.

Sometimes it can seem like such minute, random, or inconsequential things that your nudges tell you to do or not do. And yet, you come to find they aren’t so little, when you experience the “reminder” and, later, connect the dots with the meaning for you. There is much more at work going on behind the scenes than you may be aware of.

One of the times I did not trust my intuition happened just a couple of days ago and felt it important to share, as a good example of what I am talking about.

I was invited to go somewhere – a spiritual center that was re-opening. Seems pretty harmless and perhaps even aligned or supportive, right? It was sort of a weird, energetic day to start off with, and I had a lot going on, so my usual clear and strong inner support system was skewed. It didn’t seem like a big deal at first, but I had the feeling it wasn’t really something for me to go to, for whatever reason. (I don’t always know why I feel something, but I just KNOW). Yet, with the energetics feeling off-balance that day, my mind got into the mix and started thinking, “what harm could it do?”, “it’s really close to home”, “it’s a free spiritual event”, “friends are going”, “why not?”

So you can see how the left brain started to override the right, rather than support the right with its first insight.

So, I tried to call the place to see about scheduling a couple of free offerings and when I did some weird stuff on the phone took place where the first person I talked to didn’t have the right information and gave me over to someone else and then they put me on “fake” hold, lol, and then said, “well just come in and we’ll get you in an appointment.” I thought, “hmmm, that’s odd, but ok fine.” (second dismissal of intuition and heart nudge).

Then just right before I was going to leave, my intuition got stronger and started to override the left brain (coming more into its power again) and I decided not to go. I wasn’t sure why, it just felt not right, not important and a waste of time, or some other reason I wasn’t aware of. In some ways this could seem silly, but I just really was not on board in the same way others were for this. The teeter-totter was playing out in my mind, rather than staying centered in my heart.

I messaged my partner, Dave and told him I wasn’t going to go, as earlier I mentioned to him that I would be. I said to him that I thought I’d waste my time. And I sat for a moment and then my mind said, “oh why not just go, what harm can it do? It’s less than 10 minutes away, you can go quickly, check it out and leave.” (Silly in my book, as this is not my usual protocol, as I honor my feelings and things like this haven’t been a challenge for me for a long time.)

But, for whatever reason, my Higher Self and the Universe had a lesson for me today on this energetically off-day. It seemed very strange to be wishy-washy, but like anything, it’s always perfect and my choices would help me to see why.

I then re-messaged Dave and said, “I’m not feeling it, but I’m trying to be open, so I’ll just go quickly and come back.” (Another dismissal). When I messaged this, the time of my message said 2:22 pm and that means the angels are supporting your thoughts, it’s a sign of confirmation and a call to further action along your path. It’s about faith and trust and your Divine life and soul mission. It has to do with balance and keeping up the good work you are doing, as evidence of your manifestations are coming into being.

And I have had this come up recently, the 2:22 when I have had intuitive nudges and then followed them, then received this message and they’ve always been supporting my acting upon my intuition and result in fortuitous things. In this case, it was a message to trust my intuition (not the decision to go despite it) and yet I still didn’t for whatever reason.

So, I left the house and not more than 30 seconds down the street I miss getting into a bad car accident by literally an inch, when someone not watching pulls out of their driveway and almost hits me. It was such a bizarre experience too, as it was surreal and the way my car and my hands at the wheel reacted with perfect precision, angle, and timing to “just” miss the hit, was a bit supernatural. Even the angle at which my car moved, was not normal and I felt the car do something not normal, as I know my car quite well. It felt like something beyond me had moved my hands and car.

I instantly knew what this all meant. That what I’d known in the first place – I was not to go to this event, for whatever reason – was far more important than it seemed, and this was my reminder warning that I cannot afford NOT to listen at any given moment in my life, even when it seems so inconsequential.

I instantly got chills, thanked the Universe and my guides, and drove past the freeway on-ramp I would have been taking, and went a different direction, instead, to a metaphysical store by my house I’d been wanting to visit for a while. There I re-centered, breathed, spent time with some crystals to rebalance, and was back on track, feeling clear and confirming my intuitive feelings, forgiving myself for not listening, having gratitude for the support, protection, messages, the process and the growth it provided, and then went back home in peace and renewed connection to what this meant with bigger things going on in my life right now.

When I got home, I messaged Dave to let him know I hadn’t gone, what happened, and how I felt back in my center, balanced and renewed on a whole other level with my intuitive trust, the message time was 3:33 pm (exactly 1 hour and 11 minutes later). 333 is a message that the Ascended Masters are with you, loving, guiding, protecting you always, and working with you on all levels to assist you in your endeavors and with serving your Divine life purpose and soul mission. It is also a reminder that you can call upon them when feeling perplexed or confused, as to your life purpose or anything you need assistance with.

Even though I had some senses on why this may have been, it ultimately doesn’t matter what the reason was for why I was not to go, nor do I need to know. All I need to know is that my intuition is always right, always has been, and always will be. Our intuition and heart always has the answers. When the heart and intuition are supported, there becomes no necessity to reiterate with reasoning, as that is wholeness in itself. (11:11 am as I just wrote that)

Everything is always in Divine perfection, but we can always be a more present, conscious, and co-creative partner to experience in our highest way.

The message here is to listen with all of your senses, be as present as possible with yourself, support your feelings despite all else, and be gentle with yourself along the process. There is no greater time than this now moment, to walk in the fullness and wholeness of you.

The Alchemy of Responsible Reflection

Take time to reflect

As we each move through the waves of current energies flowing in and out of our lives these days, it can be helpful to understand how to navigate more easily and transmute energies more quickly.

One of these ways is the mirroring process, which we all have heard of and hear reiterated often, but if you really actually put it to practice, you will see it as one of the powerfully effective tools that it is, which can instantly shift your experiences and empower you.

Many times we avoid, repress, ignore, turn the cheek or our back on, and convince ourselves about things, while we may find excuses to have our choices superficially fill the spiritual ideals we have come to value, yet haven’t really integrated at the core.

One red flag or message that shows you you have not fully transmuted something is if it continually patterns back, either in the same exact way and from the same exact source, or from a new source, but with the same underlying story.

I know for myself, one of the most empowering ways I have learned, and am daily learning, to shift my experiences, is by actively facing the mirror. Of course we all have human feelings that can at first react, rather than respond, or simply come up for us to express. But the reason for these reactions and releases are for us to take note of their message.

If something bothers you on some level, there is something in it to learn about yourself and why that is.

Could it be that there are ways in your own life you are the same as what you are not liking in another?

Could it be that you have ignored something about yourself that you are being shown to do or express?

Could it be sharing a theme that needs healing in your life or that calls for greater understanding and compassion?

Could it be that you are needing to learn the truth of unconditionally loving detachment both of self and others?

If you are a light worker, healer, visionary, leader, etc…much of what comes up can also be about helping you to get to a new level of understanding within, so that you can be of greater service to others.

So it really can be beneficial to pay attention and look inside, re-evaluate, and create a new direction for your life.

Even if we create a superficial boundary, but haven’t truly integrated the learning, no matter where we run or go, the same things will follow just in a new way and form, until we actually take a look at the underlying meaning and deal with it. That boundary would need a healthy, core foundation in order to create new experiences.

I know this very well in my own life, that core patterns will continue to cycle around until I look within and make the necessary adjustments. And they have changed by my doing so.

And when new things come up, or in the case of a pattern, old things come up, I allow my feelings to move through me without judgment, as it’s the only way I will be able to move through them in a healthy way. It also is the way I can instantly then be present and look at those feelings and look at myself, as an observer watching through the mirror, and find out what it means for me.

And then the healing integration immediately takes place and I relate to the thing, or person, and in essence, myself, in a completely different way and with greater sense of peace and empowerment, as well as more compassion, and can communicate more clearly.

The reaction then turns into my learning to more presently respond and come from a deeper place when I do. It takes practice, but with practice it becomes much easier. And with everything accelerating, it can happen instantly.

That isn’t to mean we won’t ever come up against something else, once we do integrate certain things, as we are continually evolving and we will have new things to help us to get to new experiences.

However, our processes can completely change and become more natural and we won’t be looking at it as this thing to do or work on, but we just instantly work the magick and poof! Instant alchemy.

It’s about empowering yourself.

The only reason things seem to happen “to us” is because we aren’t taking responsibility in our own lives and realizing our ability to actively be part of our experience.

Maybe some see this as a burden and why it may feel easier to turn away from things or ignore something even in the heat of the moment.

But do realize you can shift everything “through” YOU and create more natural balance as a result.

Here is what Shakti Gawain has to share about learning from your mirrors:

Often, we are so stuck in our old beliefs and patterns that we aren’t able to see the changes we need to make. Even when we feel frustrated about our problems, we may not recognize what we need to learn to change things. That is why we need to use the mirror of life. Everything in our lives reflects where we are in the process of developing integration and balance. We can use everything that happens externally as a mirror to help us see the areas within us that need healing and development. Whenever we have a problem, especially a recurring or chronic problem, it is always an arrow pointing directly to some aspect of our psyche where we need more awareness.

We all attract certain people into our life who have developed qualities opposite to the ones we are most identified with. In other words, they mirror our disowned selves, and we mirror theirs. These are often the most highly emotionally charged relationships. We either love them, hate them, or both! We feel very attracted to them, and/or very uncomfortable, judgmental, annoyed, or frustrated with them. The stronger the feelings, the more important a mirror they are for us. We have drawn them into our reality to show us something about what we need to develop in ourselves. The fact that we have such strong feelings (one way or another) toward them means that they are showing us a part of ourselves we need to acknowledge, accept, and integrate.

Of course, it’s important in any relationship to learn constructive ways to communicate honestly about our needs, our likes and dislikes, and so forth. However, along with letting the other person know our feelings, including ways we might wish they would change, we need to remind ourselves that we brought them into our lives to teach and inspire us to develop new aspects of ourselves. Our challenge, then, is to be open to discovering the parts of ourselves that they mirror for us, and to learn how we can express those parts of ourselves more in our own lives. Difficulties we are having in our relationships often mirror parts of ourselves that we need to heal. Such difficulties may involve a family member, a close friend, a coworker, or even people with whom we have only a brief encounter, such as a clerk in a store. If you are having difficulty with a present relationship, or if you frequently encounter certain kinds of difficult people — for example, a needy person or a person who doesn’t respect your boundaries — take a moment to look closely at what they are reflecting.

The people we are in relationship with are always a mirror, reflecting our own beliefs, and simultaneously we are mirrors reflecting their beliefs. So relationship is one of the most powerful tools for growth… if we look honestly at our relationships we can see so much about how we have created them.

Loving and Living “Your” Truth – Taking the Steps to Creating the Life You Want

Many are facing a sort of crossroads in their lives, be it with relationships, jobs, health, or the inner landscape of experience. There are no right or wrong answers, as all choices lead you to where ever you need to be. We can however be more discerning, conscious, wise, unconditionally loving and open with ourselves when making these very impactful choices. And when we listen within, we will discover a journey of rainbows constantly guiding the way.

A common theme I have seen happening with clients, friends and others I come in contact with, is that of choices and shifts with their “work or job,” which in essence speaks to life paths or missions, authentic heart callings…all of which affect every aspect of our lives.

It may seem you are confused or frustrated with deciding what road to take in terms of your work, but this really is a very core decision that runs far deeper than merely how your work will channel itself. It speaks in essence to who you are at the heart of hearts and how you choose to consistently channel that through every aspect of your life – work being ONE such channel.

Many are straddling the fence with one foot on both sides, but this can only go on for so long, as it not only drains your energy and life essence (creating a multitude of external mirroring challenges), but will never allow wholeness, fulfillment and progression with either.

So it really is about taking stock of what you value in totality, who you are at the core away from all enculturated conditioning, what your beliefs are and what brings you the greatest joy despite what anyone else would think and without comparing or judging it against what anyone else is doing. This can be challenging and will test us on every level, as we have to let go of ideas we’ve been taught that equate to this scary word – success.

What does success mean to you? When you can answer that question and it doesn’t feel like you are reiterating your parent’s, teacher’s, employer’s, society’s, or media’s words then you will have your answer. There is no right or wrong here. And perhaps another way to view this word success is to see it as what does happiness mean to you?

To me, happiness/success is feeling joy in every moment, feeling good about everything I do and share – knowing it reflects authentically, channeling the expressions of my heart in satisfying and harmonious ways that reflect my unique gifts for the highest good, feeling whole on the inside without need for external validation, knowing I have everything I need always, and simultaneously being able to do what I love in a way that is of service to others.

Sometimes we are so busy doing that we aren’t able to hear our inner voice that tries to get our attention. And if we don’t hear it, or ignore those gut instincts, it will speak more loudly in the only ways it knows it WILL get our attention – many times if necessary and in not so pleasant ways perhaps.

I used to be someone who was on the move always and working tons, or always out, or wanting to get to the next place. However, I also have always been a person of solitude and very comfortable with being by myself and cherish that quiet “me” time. I have a strong drive and can achieve things unhumanly possible, but I have learned to let that side of me relax and to step away from things. The thing is I love what I do as work. Rather, I would see it as play since it is joyous to do. I would view it more as a natural extension of me that I can’t live without and do because it’s a passion.

It is because of this that I have no concept of things like retirement, as to me that has this connotation of “I have to work hard all of my life doing things I don’t really enjoy, until I get old enough to stop doing that and relax and do what I want finally.” By this time you’ve used up 3/4 of your life doing everything but what you might have wanted to do, if you had known you could choose otherwise. I can’t fathom not doing something that I love always. If it’s your breath of life and no different than eating, sleeping and breathing, then why would that ever stop, unless you are in some way incapacitated? And even then, my belief is somehow I’d find some unconventionally, quirky, visionary, way to still do what I love in service to others.

I also don’t have the concept sometimes of stopping my “work,” as to me it is so enlivening, so there is no distinction for me between it and life. I do however know the importance of just “being” and while part of that is being my authentic me expressing in the way it wants, it also means that I need to honor the authentic me that likes and needs stillness, being in the experience of listening, receiving, and breathing in the natural world – shutting down the mind, stopping the male manifestation of my creative action and honoring the female receptive and feeling action to flow in, as that is what fuels everything I am able to create outwardly.

Just because one goes inward and honors that peaceful place of “quiet” does not mean that action is not taking place. This time allows for us to recharge and receive what we then are able to give and put out. It allows things to percolate and for divine timing to work its magic. Without honoring both aspects of ourselves, we deny our wholeness and in essence live half the story. There is much to be heard in silence. Being present with self and others is a gift few master.

The more you consciously make this a practice, the more it naturally becomes your way of life without thought. Nothing feels separate. Everything is connected. And all of life – work and play – blends one into the other and life just IS. It IS an extension of YOU BEING YOU.

A lot of you are facing major changes in your life and I know that can be scary. Some are being offered higher paying positions, which equates to having more things you like to have or vacations you need to take away from what you don’t like, while it also means more time away from yourself and family and creates more responsibilities. And at the same time, you have these inner heart callings tugging you the other way that feel so exciting, natural and comforting to your soul, but carry with them no guarantees and ask of you to put your all into them – trust, faith, passions, energy, and love – with the potential for temporarily letting go of things you’ve gotten comfortable having that have appeased you and provided excuse for doing things that don’t make you happy.

Each has their own things to weigh, but the problem is, we end up weighing them from a place of inexperience and from the view on one side of the “known” fence. We are very well trained in the world we have been living, but the new we feel called to seems fresh and unchartered. There is no way to really “know” the new if we don’t immerse ourselves in it the same way we have the old. Our judgments are biased and have no place in the new realm. The new is navigated solely by heart and intuition – two things we are learning to nurture and allow full reign in our lives now, where before the mind and practical thought has reigned. In this way we shift the focus of the guiding forces, as well as the support systems, into a more efficient and magical partnership.

If you truly lived life from love – love of self, what you do, others, etc…what would be missing? When there is wholeness experienced, there is no feeling of lack and no need to acquire all of these things, or take a vacation away from the joyous experience you have daily. If you want  to buy something or take a vacation it is a choice and icing on the cake, but likely becomes just a natural part of your life that supports the expression of you, just as everything else would become natural and not done with a feeling of resentment or escapism, or something needed to counter-balance all the time spent in unhappiness or stress.

So, if you go to the new, it would need a whole new approach, but with the same amount of investment you’ve given to all else in your life. You can’t just expect that just because you make a decision to do it, that that magically means instant everything. All of your parts need time to get on board and become integrated, and retraining into what’s natural from what’s been conditioned needs to be put into practice, which will mean more happiness and freedom experienced, as well as greater potential for synchronous magic because you are supporting your authentic self.

It will take your loving patience, consistent support, and perhaps support and inspiration from other like-minded people and mentors, to provide positive motivation to you in cultivating what you love. It can happen quite rapidly when embraced in fullness, as things move quite fast these days in comparison to before. And when the Universe sees you support yourself, it is more than happy to lend a helping hand.

Life changes, yes. And there will be times of fluctuating experiences, as with anything. But life will feel good.

The last time I held what would be considered a regular, office job was 2002-2003. I vowed never to go back. I went through many explorations with work and held 3 different office jobs in my life, alongside lots of other things, but the 3rd was the charm and was the amount that I needed to wake myself up with all the signs and hard nudges. Sometimes it just takes that one moment in time, that one epiphany, person, word, movie, book, quote, video, experience…to click things for you. And some times, it can also take not-so-nice experiences that we call up to get our attention.

It doesn’t mean that others aren’t meant to do office work or hold corporate jobs, as we all have unique paths and gifts, but for me, this was not most reflective of my soul. I was good at it, but that was because anything I made a decision to do, I would do to my best ability and well. That doesn’t mean it is natural or joyous. It’s just robotic and fell into things I was conditioned with and needed to let go of.

I had worked endlessly on myself since my late years of high school – going deep in my early twenties and on. So when I was faced with this decision to leave my last job, because of the self exploration and personal growth I’d focused on, I knew it was what I wanted to do, I knew where my heart was and wasn’t, I knew what was and wasn’t healthy, I had already put my focus into creating a side art business while working at my job (since I was so efficient with my work I developed my first artist website to start doing commissioned art and designs)…I just hadn’t had that last “click” take place that would push me over the edge to quit. There were those last remnants of fear, uncertainty, questioning, doubts…all stemming, I knew, from a place not authentic to me.

I waited for a sign while I kept working on things and started a couple of art commissions and one day had this inspiration to write a letter to a woman I’d never met, who was a good friend of my best friend at the time. She was very spiritual, conscious, had her own business doing what she loved, and was successful in terms of being able to make a comfortable living and living in joy. I did not know how she could help me. I only knew I should write her and share my story and reach out to ask if she had any words of wisdom. I mailed off the letter and didn’t hear from her for weeks. Until one day, after a series of signs at work, which was so stressful and I really was so unhappy at and didn’t like the employers I worked for, I came home and found a message on my voicemail from her.

Just that felt like the sign I was looking for. I remember lighting up hearing her voice and that she actually got in touch with me. I called her that weekend and we talked for a couple of hours on the phone. She never specifically gave me advice, but she told me her story…a very magical one indeed. She said the same thing I knew, that I would know when the time is right, as it will just feel like a click and there will be no fear, just clarity and peace.

And that is EXACTLY what happened in the course of our conversation and immediately after I got off the phone. I JUST KNEW. It was the click I had been waiting for to trigger within me and get all my pieces on board. And whatever fear was left had dissipated. It was more like she had mirrored myself, my inner voice, that knew everything she said was what would be for me, but I had to trust it utterly and completely and support it with all of myself. There was no room for doubt. I then embraced the moment and acted. I would not wait. The time was now.

I sat down and made a plan that night (it was the weekend). That I would quit my job in one month’s time and tell them so on Monday. I knew how much money I’d have, which gave me a little leeway with my rent for about 2 months and I then started on sending energy (at the time I did not know Reiki, but still worked with energy in my own way) to my employer who always made me feel uneasy. As I did a meditation and walked myself through the whole conversation, as it would happen, angels appeared in my vision standing behind him at his desk where I would talk to him, with their hands on his shoulders. I knew all would go well.

And it did. Better than one could have imagined.

I also told myself I would not say a word to my parents about it, this time. I knew that as a Pisces and a sensitive, I had very thin, to no, boundaries. This was something I had to do without anyone knowing, as I wanted to keep the integrity of the energy pure, authentically me, and not invite any one’s opinions in, not feel anyone’s energy influencing anything, and to do this completely on my own. I promised I would not tell them until after I’d already quit and I stuck to that.

When I did tell them, nearly a month after, I was so grounded and empowered, and believed with every fiber of my being, that even telling them was a piece of cake and was met with full embrace, support and excitement, mirroring my own. My belief created a reflected belief from them.

And that last month at work was a breeze and things started magically happening. I would meet people “randomly” and people would out-of-the-blue start talking about art – at the grocery store, coming into the office from outside, where ever I was – and wanted to commission something. Even the owner of the company I was working for commissioned me to do a mural in their lobby right after I quit my job! LOL!!!

It was one of the best times of my life. After I left the job, I enjoyed a very simple and happy life in my studio apartment, with my sweet Nestor, painting every day working on projects, getting up late, hanging by my pool just outside my place and spending time doing what I wanted on my own schedule. I never knew where my rent and bills money would come from and sometimes it would be just days before it was due, but I would always have some magical thing come through and all was well. I had everything I needed and I was emanating joy. It was also at this time that two of my most life-changing commissioned pieces came in that would shape the rest of my life as an artist and opened up deeper soul remembrances that shifted my experience in big ways.

And the rest, as they say, is history and has been a continually unfolding process of discovery, deeper connection, explorative learning, and evolutionary transformation that has taken me down many roads to uncover and release the authentic parts of me in the way they want to reveal themselves. Not having an end result in mind, but knowing each leg of the journey was integral to the bigger picture.

I share my experience of this transition briefly, in case it has any sparks or seeds that might provide that click for you. There is much that led up to this time period and much that has taken place since, but it marked a very big turning point in terms of making a committed soul decision that ensured I would not go back again. It was like drawing an imaginary line that I would never be able to cross.

I always love Shakti Gawain’s insights and perspectives. Her books are some of the firsts I read on my spiritual journey. She has some great things to share in her book, Living in the Light, on just this topic in the chapter, Work and Play. Here is an excerpt from that chapter to reflect upon. Many blessings to each of you as you follow the guidance of your heart in making the choices that will shape your life.

Work and play are the same. When you’re following your energy and doing what you want all the time, the distinction between work and play dissolves. Work is no longer what you have to do or play what you want to do. When you are doing what you love, you may work harder and produce more than ever before, but it will feel like play.

…When we follow the light, everything is fun, creative, and transformational. We make a contribution to the world just by being ourselves in every moment. There are no more rigid categories in our lives – this is work, this is play. It all blends into the flow of following the universe and money flows in as a result of the open channel that’s created. You no longer work in order to make money. Work is no longer something you have to do in order to sustain life. Instead, the delight that comes from expressing yourself becomes the greatest reward. The money comes along as a natural part of being alive. Working and getting money may no longer even be directly related to each other; you may experience that you are doing whatever you have energy to do and the money is coming into your life. It’s no longer a matter of, “You do this and then you get money for it.” The two things are simply operating simultaneously in your life but not necessarily in a direct cause-and-effect relationship.

In the new world, it’s difficult to pin your life’s work and true purpose down to any one thing. In terms of looking for a career, our old-world concept told us that when we became adults, we had to decide what our career would be, and then pursue an education or other steps to achieve that career. The career would then be pursued for most or all of our life.

In the new world, many of us are channels for a number of things which may come together in fascinating combinations. Perhaps you haven’t found your career because it doesn’t exist yet. Your particular and unique way of expressing yourself has never existed before and will never be repeated again. As you practice following the energy in your life, it will start to lead you in many directions. You will begin to express yourself in a variety of ways, all of which will begin to synthesize in some surprising, interesting, and very new, creative way. You will no longer be able to say, “I am a writer (or fireman or a teacher or a housewife).” You may be a combination of all of those things. You’ll be doing what you love, what you’re good at, what comes easily to you and has an element of challenge and excitement to it. Whatever you do will feel satisfying and fulfilling to you. It is no longer a matter of doing things now for later gratification: “I will work hard now so that I can get a better job later. I will work hard now so that I can retired and enjoy life. I will work hard now in order to have enough money and time to have a vacation where I can have fun.” It’s the fulfillment of what you’re doing at this very moment that counts. In being a channel, everything you do becomes a contribution; even the simplest things are significant.

…It’s the same when you’re just being. If you walk into a room, feeling one with yourself, knowing who you are, knowing that you’re a channel, and expressing yourself in whatever way feels right to you, then everyone in the room will be transformed. Even though they may not recognize it or know anything about it consciously, you will be able to see the direct result of your channel operating. You will see proof of it in watching the changes in people. It is an incredibly exciting and satisfying experience.

You can see that it is no longer an issue of focusing on one particular thing, although you may be led to focus and build structure in a particular area. You may choose to learn certain skills that you will use to allow your channel to function in a way that it wants to function. If you do this, you will be led to it easily and naturally. The process of learning will be just as much fun as the doing. In other words, it is no longer necessary to sacrifice in the moment so that in the future you will be able to have what you want. The learning process will be full of fun, joy, and excitement. You’ll experience it as being exactly what you want to be doing at that time.

Conversely the work you do will be a learning experience…there is no difference between learning and teaching, just as there is no difference between work and play. It all begins to blend into one totally integrated and balanced experience.

Most people do have some sense, at least deep inside, of what they would love to be doing. This feeling is often so repressed, however, that it is experienced only in the form of some wildly impractical fantasy, something you could never do. I always encourage people to get in touch with these fantasies…There is truth in this desire. Even if it seems impossible, there is at least a grain of truth in the image. It is telling you something about who you really are and what it is you really want to be doing.

Your fantasies can tell you how you really want to be expressing yourself. Many times, I’ve found that people have a strong sense of what they would like to do, yet they take up a career that is very different from their desire. Sometimes they go for the opposite because they feel it is practical or will gain the approval of their parents or the world. They figure it is impossible to do what they really want, so they might as well settle for something else that comes along. I encourage people to risk exploring the things that really turn them on.

Mirror Reflections: Integrating Spirit and Form

Photo of my new hair cut taken as a mirror reflection

Having recently been going through another major transformation (with a physically manifested, dramatic hair cut among other things) that continues to unfold, I see this theme of renewal, integrative empowerment, inner reflection to reveal authenticity, and trust in what is revealed to manifest outwardly, to be recurring around me – whether conscious or not – embraced or not. People are going through major shifts that are like none they have gone through before. Everything is getting kicked up several notches and when we are able to recognize the beauty of it and flow with the change, rather than fight it, ignore it, or do everything else but honor it, then the magick happens.

We all have different ways to go about things, different things we each have to learn, and different timing, so no one person can tell another how they “should” do something. The most important thing is to do it for yourself – whatever that soul accomplishment is that you are here fulfilling.

If we see someone going through struggles, pain, or even what we may “deem” unnecessary experiences or unproductive, that is simply an observational judgement coming from not being able to see the bigger picture of free will and how each person has and will decide their own ways to learn and evolve. It can be challenging to detach and not want to step in to help in the way we think can help, but the truth of it is, we can only offer to hold an unconditionally loving space and provide energetic support.

It is up to each individual what they choose in each moment and with each choice we have the ability to obtain a higher vibrational frequency, which equates to the measurement of the soul – not to our definitions of time and when and how someone must accomplish something.

We all make judgments daily when we see, hear or experience things and part of our collective journey is moving towards releasing these, as we embrace the holistic concept of Oneness and mastery of our creative and loving potentials.

The more we focus on our own processes and how the authenticity of that collectively connects, simultaneously, the more we start to harness the mastering of creating new realities we desire, without exerting unnecessary energies elsewhere.

I am seeing how every day more and more magick keeps unfolding, the more I go to the depths within to access and embody my truth. This weekend, just after getting my hair cut, I had a very intense experience of that renewing energy, and on that journey I was led to discover a falcon feather. I now have this powerful animal totem symbolism and spirit guide energy/wisdom on my desk with me and am grateful for its gift.

Falcon Wisdom Includes:

  • Assisting in soul healing
  • Accompanying the soul back to the soul world
  • Teaching swiftness
  • Learning the aerobatics of life
  • Controlling speed and movement
  • Understanding magick

Also: Spirit, Light, Power, Focus, Prophecy, Freedom, Aspiration, Intensity, Determination, Visionary Power Leading to Life Purpose, Solar Energy, Rising Above a Situation, Carries Message of Transition and Change, Taking Action on Something You’re Passionate About

Very synchronous for my current experiences and energetic symbolism 🙂

All of these themes that I see/feel around led me today to pick up my book by Shakti Gawain (which I like to do now and then) and open to a page to see if there is a message to impart. And what I opened to, energetically aligned with what I was wanting to share and so I’d like to leave you with passages from her insightful book, “Living in the Light ~ A Guide to Personal and Planetary Transformation” to ponder:

“The trickiest part of using the mirror process is learning how to interpret the reflection you see…It will not help to analyze and think about it with your rational mind. It is far more effective to turn to your inner self, to ask the universe for help…As you tune into your gut feeling and get a sense of what feels right in the moment, act on this feeling.

After acting on the feeling, try to be aware of the external and internal feedback from your actions. The external feedback is how well things work. Do things seem to fall into place and work easily? Then you’re surely in tune with your inner guidance. If you’re struggling to do something that doesn’t happen easily, it’s a message to let go and check back in to find out what you really want to be doing.

Internal feedback will come to you as feelings. If you feel empowered, more alive, then it’s right. The ultimate key is aliveness. The more the universe moves through you, the more alive you feel. Conversely, every time you don’t follow your inner guidance you feel a loss of energy, loss of power, a sense of spiritual deadness.

In being true to yourself you will feel more alive, but you may also feel uncomfortable. This is because you are risking change! As you undergo certain changes you may experience intense emotions. Allow these emotions expression; after all, your inner voice has to move through years of accumulated unconsciousness, doubt, and fear. So simply let these feelings come up and flush through you – they are being cleaned out and healed by the light.

External feedback may also mirror these feelings; your doubts and fears will often be reflected in the reactions of those around you. If your friends and family question or judge the changes in you, recognize that they are simply mirroring doubting, fearful voices in you, such as, “What if I’m doing the wrong thing? Can I really trust this process?”

…The important thing is to recognize that you are really dealing with your inner fears. Affirm that you are learning to trust yourself more and more. You will be amazed to see how others immediately mirror your increasing self-trust and confidence by responding to you with trust and confidence.

Remember:

If you judge and criticize yourself, others will judge and criticize you.

If you hurt yourself, others will hurt you.

If you lie to yourself, others will lie to you.

If you are irresponsible to yourself, others will be irresponsible in relation to you.

If you blame yourself, others will blame you.

If you do violence to yourself emotionally, others will do violence to you emotionally, or even physically.

If you don’t listen to your feelings, no one will listen to your feelings/

If you love yourself, others will love you.

If you respect yourself, others will respect you.

If you trust yourself, others will trust you.

If you are honest with yourself, others will be honest with you.

If you are gentle and compassionate with yourself, others will treat you with compassion.

If you appreciate yourself, others will appreciate you.

If you honor yourself, others will honor you.

If you enjoy yourself, others will enjoy you.

It’s very important to realize that you may not be able to change your old patterns overnight…It takes time for ego to change its habits, so you have to watch the same lousy movie repeat itself a few times.

…Change happens not by trying to make yourself change, but by becoming conscious of what’s not working. You can then ask your higher self for help in releasing the old and bringing in the new pattern. Remember, the darkest hour is just before the dawn – change often occurs just when you’ve given up, or when you least expect it.

…We, as spiritual beings, created the physical world as a place to learn. It’s our school, our playground, our artist’s studio. I believe that we’re here to master the process of creation – to learn how to consciously channel the creative energy of spirit into physical form…

After we are born into the body, we forget who we really are and why we came here. We take on the “survival” consciousness of the physical world and we get lost in the world of form. We forget our spirits, believing we are just our personalities. We lose touch with our true power and feel lost and helpless. Life becomes a tremendous struggle to find meaning and satisfaction.

…Eventually we realize that it’s not working: no matter what we do in the world, we don’t find happiness…This is usually a painful and frightening place in a person’s life – it feels like hitting bottom. It is a time of ego death, when the body mind form recognizes the hopelessness of trying to live this way and surrenders its fight…

But the darkest hour is truly just before the dawn. When we finally give up the struggle to find fulfillment “out there,” we have nowhere to go but within. It is at this moment of total surrender that the light begins to dawn. We expect to hit bottom, but instead we fall through a trap door into a bright new world. We’ve rediscovered the world of our spirit.

This is like being reborn. We are infants in this new world and have no idea how to live since none of our old ways work here. We feel uncertain and out of control because our ego is not in control anymore. Yet hope is reborn with us, and power and vision start to come through. From this point we become gradually more “enlightened.”

…So here we have the dilemma in which we all currently find ourselves – a great discrepancy between our spirit and our form. The spirit is very powerful and creative and has a lot of things it would like to do to express itself in the physical world, but it needs to have the form as a vehicle in which to do it. The form is willing but isn’t yet able to go where the spirit wants to go. It has to be educated and transformed through the power and wisdom of the spirit.

…In order to create the new world, we are being challenged to move back into the world of form with full spiritual awareness. We need to recognize the discrepancy between our spirit and our form and then allow the spirit to transform the physical body, the mind, and the personality into a powerful and beautiful channel through which it can fully express itself.”

Thank you Shakti Gawain for sharing your timeless insights.

Money, Physical Well Being…The Abundant Journey to Center – Integrating It All Without Any Charge

Being, doing, and having….

We can think of life having three dimensions: being, doing, and having. Often we attempt to live our lives backwards. We try to have more money in order to feel we can do more of what we want, so we can be happier. The way it actually works is the reverse. We must first be who we really are, then do what we feel guided to do, in order to have what we want.

Shakti Gawain

~ I allow myself to be; I do what feels right; I have everything I truly want. ~

Today’s post was actually one I had wanted to post about 2 weeks ago and is based on information I once posted on facebook about the topic of abundance and money. Prompted by a lot of recent personal reflections, discussions, sharings by a dear friend, and feeling the collective energy, I felt it important to repost some of this and offer a few perspectives.

While none of this is really new information, as everything is recycled with new perspectives and energy, just because we mentally “know” something doesn’t mean we have learned to fully integrate it into our lives in every way. We get easily convinced that the buck stops at the mental understanding. Remember, we also have the emotional, physical and spiritual bodies to process. The emotional and physical, usually being the most challenging and last pieces, as emotional is very deep-seeded and works in trickier, subconscious, more hidden and potentially self sabotaging ways. And the physical is one that many light workers have moved so far away from in developing their spiritual consciousness, while expanding energetically.

Life is not about pulling to one end of the spectrum of duality over the other, or that one is “better” than the other. If that were true, we would not be in human form and have emotional and spiritual bodies simultaneously. We are full spectrum beings with full spectrum experiences available to us! We mustn’t forget any one of our parts. It’s about the need for integration and balance and returning to that which we have journeyed away from in order to develop the other side and help to shift things collectively. The real shift will come, though, when we make friends with all of our parts and are able to become master magicians of our ENTIRE life. We may end up looking like the proverbial “fool” card (card #zero or 22 in the tarot deck) to many along our journeys, yet the fool holds secret mastery that so simplistically encapsulates the seeming complexity of the complete cycle of the rest of the “cards of life” #’s 1-21.

We are all on different legs of the journey and have different parts to play. There is no place for judgment of where anyone is at. In simplified terms, a very male oriented and traditionally and physically based, structured, aggressive, powering over energy has been slowly balanced out by those shifting into the more female oriented, unconventionally and spiritually/emotionally based, flowing, peaceful and empowered within and power to create energy. In doing so, many light workers have turned their backs on the old ways in order to strengthen the new ways to level out the balancing scale. This was needed to equalize the playing field so to speak and to help shift things into a new reality of experience. However, there is the tendency to continue further and further towards one end of duality, pulling the rubber band so tight between its opposite that it will eventually snap, blow out, or short circuit! Not to mention, an imbalance gets created and there can still be a subconscious or conscious charge in opposition to the opposite, also creating the constant turmoil and battle within and without.

Many have started their journey back towards center, which is the experience of integration that is now needed in our return to natural harmony with all.

With the wisdom gained, we are able to make the journey back with our sack full of all of our goodies (the fool card again – see right) that we’ve acquired in our processes along the way and are able to utilize these gifts to magically master all of the elements. We can stand in the middle of anything, integrating it all without charge and flowing in oneness with bigger picture vision of the wholeness of everything.

While necessary to have strengthened the feminine side, it is not the “end all” answer. The key lies center at a third position that encompasses all things simultaneously and can dip in and out of each polarity or be of both at any given moment without any judgment or attachment to either. I believe that many of us have at least mentally grasped this in it’s entirety, as stated, since this is the easiest part to integrate. Where we fall short is in emotionally and physically integrating. My guess is that some may be partially or half way there emotionally and the physical is the remaining fullness to incorporate. Which brings us back to abundance and money, and even our physical health.

I have found that for myself, I have also expanded so much in the polarity opposite of the male (yang) into the female (yin) that I’ve actually short circuited or blown out. According to Laura Bruno, medical intuitive, and my own naturopath and my own intuiting, it then appears as a yin deficiency alongside a yang deficiency. Not that either are not operating, but the yang would be in non-full or non-productive form and the yin would be way overblown. This coincides with the DNA shifts and our body’s energetics becoming more crystalline and light form, requiring and calling for “new” ways to support and nurture it that are not the ways we have been used to. However, the intent is not to disengage and allow our temple bodies to disintegrate or break down, but rather to rebuild them into new and revitalized forms by operating at optimal with all of our pieces integrated with the new energy and new ways of being from both sides of duality, as one newly created divinity of being.

Many light workers are experiencing the physical breakdowns and manifestations of what seems like unhealthiness, but rather it is a call to action that we take a new approach and not turn our backs on our bodies, but harmonize them with our gained understandings and work with them with our acquired learnings and new energies, while aligning them in natural harmony with earth. To follow the natural rhythms guided by intuitive flow and being in our hearts with love for all of creation, which includes all of what we each are embodiments of, is key. There is no sin of the body and no sin of things. It is an illusion and the way we have attached ideas to, and value to, or used things in control over or with unhealthy fears at core, or the values we have assigned some things over others, and the judgments based on conditioned patterns and instilling from others, that is the real issue. The culmination of getting hit with so many seeming “issues” right now really is a sign that all things are progressing perfectly and reminding us of the last pieces to integrate so that the new experiences can be in their entirety – not on a half full tank.

We need very grounded and strong foundations for these new forms we are becoming and for the new we are creating, so as not to recreate the same again. So completely stripping away the old foundation and rebuilding a new is of importance. We can’t continue building the new, as we have, on an old, outmoded and weakened foundation, which is what we have  been doing. We have been building taller and taller, our sky scrapers, but in order to ensure them not crumbling, we are getting the nudges to go back and work at the ground level with the new wisdom we have gained. We need not tear down all that we built, as we have the ingenious capability to work below the surface from a new perspective that will not topple our work, but merely strengthen it deeper.

This reflects in our Chakras and our movement back into the lower Chakras now from a new enlightened perspective to regenerate them into full and optimal empowerment and expression, just as we have been doing with our upper Chakras. The beauty and magic lies in the clicking on of all lights simultaneously at full potential.

It is time to explore those last pieces that are holding you back in whatever part of your life that seems to be operating at less than and understand the message and hidden teaching that can unlock and release you from the perpetual patterns and hindrances.

So, the judgment of money as evil, negative, bad, something to control with, or even the judgments of it being something you have to work hard for, isn’t spiritual, doesn’t come easy, or isn’t something that you create from doing what you love, as those are meant to be hobbies and not real jobs or meant to be given away free…these are all some of the core reasons preventing abundance for many light workers. Not to mention, not valuing yourself, not valuing that your work is important and equal to any other kind of work, fears of being all that you are, guilt around having more than others, fear that the money will make you into others that use it as power over, and non-trust in yourself as to being able to utilize the abundance in productive and beneficial ways…all come into play and then some, in hindering the ability to have the abundance the universe offers us (which isn’t limited to any definition of what abundance includes). We are not meant to live with scarcity programming in any way. That was something learned, to unlearn.

Money is a tool for exchange. For people to complain about money in any form, even complaining about having to use it to pay for creative and healing services is something that takes place a lot. It takes energy to create and money is ONE form of exchange of energy. It is not the end with all, but it is also NOT the enemy. True we were once all involved in a beautiful time period of being our true selves and exchanged our gifts freely with each other. It wasn’t viewed as our “work” but simply an extension of who we are and freely giving and receiving with each other and there was no mind to payment – just simply being you and having everything you needed because of that way of living collectively. And potentially we will, and are returning to that, but in the meantime, the current form of money is simply that…an exchange of abundant energy between us, that may shift its form again, as we shift, but will do so when we shift our relationship to it and our judgment perspectives to match the rest of the ways we have been shifting.

Money isn’t the only form of exchange to energetically balance goods and services shared. Yet, there is nothing wrong with money. I have always found it very curious that some believe that being an abundant being means to have abundance in every way, BUT financially. Where was it written that money was not part of that equation? At least as long as that is our collectively chosen form to operate within for now. We are on this earth to learn to live as the abundant beings we are in every sense of that word, whatever way abundant translates in your life. It’s the attachment we have on things, the way we let things control us, or our misuse, judgment or scarcity programming that can get in the way.

Just because others abuse things doesn’t mean that you will. That is a conscious choice you can create for yourself. It’s something many have bought into, that money is wrong. It’s how people have abused it that is the issue, not the money itself. And yes, at some point money may not come into play again and trade services will be the focus, but until then, a shift in perspective on money and the value we place on ourselves is important and will help get us to a new experience.

As more visionaries, creative and spiritual innovators step forward, this is increasingly PART of the embracing needed and integration with that movement back towards center, along with our physicality. We are not to give up anything in our journey to center, but to incorporate all things in a new way, in order to be one with all and to experience all. This involves realizing your worth and equality and that what you have to offer is valuable in every sense of the word and by realizing that, others will mirror it. Don’t let others invalidate you or allow those viewpoints to further disintegrate your feelings towards yourself. Don’t allow the misinformed beliefs of others to shape your beliefs and life.

Just something to think about. If something isn’t operating at its potential in your life, there is something there to look at and shift in order to create the balance and fullness of experience we are born with access to.

The issue is not to chase after money, or anything for that matter, but to allow things to flow in and out of our lives without judgment, attachment or need for control. Things will reflect our abundant full potentials in natural ways however that is meant to be mirrored in your life, whether monetarily or otherwise. But believe you are always taken care of and that everything is in divine order.

What is the definition of abundance? Something that is plentiful and flowing in large quantities. The way our abundance works in this now moment is with consciousness of the flow in and out of anything and everything for a higher good in a loving, compassionate way. Nowhere does it talk about having a limit as to what can be part of that abundance. It doesn’t only, but can include money or not. Key is not to have a negative energy towards it or anything else for that matter, as it’s WE who foster the energy of something by how we perceive it and how we attach reflection to it. And anything we have learned or had subconsciously programmed into us, CAN be undone. Especially now. We have available to us SO much support and energy to shift things instantly. We need only to intend it and consciously see, to have things shift. And of course, it is always helpful to ask for assistance in any form that you are drawn to and to start “being” the new.

Scarcity consciousness limits the universal flow of abundance, and is rooted in fear. If you move beyond this and know that the universe provides “all” that “you” will allow, then there is never any fear of running out or not having. As my good friend Tim Fullerton (poet extraordinaire) shared in his good analogy, “It’s like electricity. There is not a good electricity that lights your home, and a bad electricity that gives you a shock. It is all in the use and value we put upon it.”

You may find that for the moment, depending on your individual place in the process, that you may need to divorce yourself from things, beliefs, or certain people or exposures and shut out that type of energy while you strengthen your natural “you” ways of being and believing. But then remember that the now is not about isolation or being separate and opposed to things. It is about being able to then re-enter anew with all the foundational gifts you acquired and then enjoy the magical fruits of integration and new perspectives you’ve gained that will create a new and full experience.

As a Pisces, I understand the need to create energetic AND actual boundaries in order to process and strengthen my own feelings without infiltration of anything “not” of me. But after stepping outside, I now know the importance of returning and relearning how to be able to, as I shared before, stand in the middle of anything and integrate it all without any charge.

So remember to be who YOU really are, and do what is in your heart, in order to have all the abundance that is available for you to embrace. At the core of who we each are is an integrated being that like the Universe, is all things and nothing at once. No judgment and no attachment, yet complete and abundant fullness of experience we can walk in and out of with unconditional love. We are the innovators of a new template in creation!

More on the physical aspects and some ways to help with these shifts, will be in the next blog.

Until then live, love, laugh, enjoy, create, share and give abundantly.
