Enjoying A Closer Relationship With Nature

One of the things we love about RV living is the freedom and expansion we feel, not to mention our deepening relationship and synergy with Nature.

Everything is inspired by and guided by the nature within us and Nature, herself.

Life and seasonal cycles are more apparent, everything is more deliberate and simplified, and life is more enriching with the presence of being that it naturally induces.

We spend tons more time outdoors or at least much closer to Nature, constantly, having the ability to work outside when weather permits.

So balance is a constant in our lives and harmony is our best friend.

That’s been the case here in Malibu, working outside, or simply enjoying the morning and sunset outdoors relaxing while watching the ocean.

This morning while singing and working outdoors, I was prompted to look up and there were whales very close to shore coming to surface and spouting. It appeared to be a mother and calf, likely on their return from down south where they go to warmer waters to eat and breed.

What a beautiful reflection, as I’ve been back at my sound work since yesterday and whales are intimately connected to the power of sound and storytelling through song.

They are one of my strongest spirit animal guides at this time in my life, around me to communicate with, even when I’m not near the ocean.

But what a gift when I am and that I can directly interact with them like this morning, which was truly a beautiful experience to watch their magnificence and the vibrancy of new life singing along coast back home.

The last time we were here I’d also seen whale spouts, which showed up while I was recording one of my video shares on presence.

And what a gift this adventure is for our little ones as well to bring them back to their natural selves too.

In safe places, when we are outside to watch them, we let the cats out to explore, as you can see above – the two black furry ones are Boojum and Sweet Pea.

We have of course given them their flea protection and keep an eye out, only letting them out in daylight while we’re around. I also give them a wet cloth rub down before they can come back in, as they like to get into a lot of things, especially rolling in the dirt.

They have the time of their life on their mini adventures of curiosity.

20160217_090601_resized

So much so that they are all tuckered out in the evening, as you can see them here napping on mom’s laundry that she hadn’t yet folded and wasn’t 100% dry yet. They didn’t seem to mind.

20160216_194657_resized

And I’ve introduced Joy and Cosmo to their new environments too, although they haven’t been immersed outside yet because of weather conditions or our sites not being conducive to their pen being set up.

So I sit with them looking out the window views, which for Cosmo has been a first to see such things like snow and the forests, or have held them and walked a bit with them outdoors.

But that’s about to change at our next stop back in Newport, as we have a private beach-front site this time, which basically is your own plot with little white picket fence (lol) that is like a small homestead.

I can’t wait to get them out in the sunshine again. Will share photos for sure.

Right now we’re breathing into the ocean air and the shifting weather patterns, as today has cooled down since the morning sunshine and some rain is releasing from the clouds above.

Between the warm Santa Ana winds that were around at first, and now the rain, indeed a lot of clearing is taking place inwardly in reflection.

I LOVE the nature of this reality I’m creating and I LOVE Nature herself.

Newness In The Air ~ Life Conspires With Us When We Take the Steps

After two long days of travel on Sunday and Saturday, which I spent completing work – one of the perks of traveling in your home is that you can work while in transit and stop anywhere to eat and rest – we came to land back in Malibu, which was our first destination after leaving Orange County.

We requested our same spot, which was open for us and the energy here has been the perfect support for my stepping into the new.

This is one of our favorite places so far because of the uniqueness and beauty of the site here.

We have a site that sits at the end of a private cul de sac where only three RV’s can be. And the sites look out over the cliff onto the Pacific Ocean – where I’ve seen dolphins and whales in transit from last time.

The energy here feels very light and expansive and has me singing each morning.

Perfect, as today I begin getting into my personal focuses and back to my sound healing work I was cultivating while on sabbatical.

12715203_10208261635765742_8500068606531797194_n

We’re spending a lot of time relaxing and taking in the energy…have our chairs set up facing the water, my plants on the picnic table taking in the ocean breeze, and each evening we’ve sat with refreshments watching the sunset while I do some Tarot readings for us.

12705709_10208261635485735_307392041637549533_n

Since yesterday was a holiday, I took the day off to assimilate, as that’s a much needed part of life to know when not to push things, but to let things settle and root.

We spent the afternoon at Zuma Beach getting some sun, cleansing my feet in the water on a long walk, and really just allowing myself, body and mind, to engage in nothingness. The temperatures are so hot right now in the mid 80’s and warm crazy winds of change greeted us since our return, usually starting up in the evening and raging through the night.

It’s a big contrast from being in the alpine winter air and exploring the snow. Another perk of living this nomadic lifestyle is being able to experience the diversity of Nature, but also honing in on flexibility and our adaptability to flow with change.

The sea gulls at Zuma are always full of life when I pass by and reflect to me the new found sense of total freedom that is entering my life.

12733485_10208254297142281_4745807319920274226_n

The first day we were here, we had two neighbors, who left the next morning. Was it our energy we brought with us that scared them off? 😉

Likely it was just our drawing in the perfect support for the experience needed and the work ahead.

This seemed to be the case, as when we returned from beach time we learned that no one was was booked to replace these people and that we could move over two spots to have an even fuller view out the side of our RV now, along with the front, without possibility of a neighbor beside us.

Of course we jumped at that and made the move and we have this private cul de sac to ourselves.

Expansion feels to be in effect, as even yesterday morning the RV felt so much bigger for some reason and even more spacious.

It must be the changes in effect.

While it’s fun being right on the water, there’s something about being up higher for me that feels more supportive. I have a thing for high altitudes – where I feel more at home, feeling free, and flying.

It brings back past life memories of some of my favorite spots I worked and live in in my power lives. It also brings me closer to the Cosmos, which of course is near and dear to my star child heart.

So likely when we come to settle somewhere again that’s where you’ll find us.

For now, what a joy it is to wake and see the ocean from bed this morning out our unobstructed window view. Sweet Pea, our female cat seems to think so too.

20160216_063223_resized

From our new spot here I can now see both the sunrise and sunset from inside without walking over to the other end of the park to catch dawn awakening.

This feels to be the perfect place this week to focus on the studies I’m completing so that I then can get back to my writing.

This morning I was singing “The Love Boat” theme song to welcome the day -my friend Jayn will love that! Although I was infusing The Magick Bus in there, as right now we feel to be gliding on the water from our vantage point and indeed my heart is filled with love and peace.

So I’m off to focus on my day here with a song in my heart and a breeze under my wings.

Wishing everyone a day filled with exciting possibilities, knowing that when you take the steps toward your dreams and intentions that life will conspire to support you.

Back Home in the Mountain Forests

20160124_164757Yesterday we came to rest at 3144 elevation in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains surrounded by the forest.

Just driving up the highway – an old passageway for me back when I lived in Lake Tahoe and Reno to visit Laura for Faery feasts and fun and the way to finding Joy and crystal friends – was invigorating and feeling like I was home again.20160124_154915

We’re now in an area called Dutch Flat, which is a good place to be without getting too high in elevation and snow, since we don’t have the RV winterized, yet still can be in the forest and mountain energy and close enough to drive in to where ever we feel called.

I’ll also be able to visit my family in Reno.

We had a glitch with our towing mechanism yesterday – maybe a fuse, which was good to happen before actually getting on our way – so rather than take a chance I drove the SUV and Dave drove the RV.20160124_143740

It was actually a really cool perspective and with me behind, I felt like the strong anchor and guardian, protecting my home and family…safely getting them to our next landing.

20160124_151403And I was actually sending energy all along the way – to guide them, as well as to infuse everyone’s hearts with peace that were inside the RV.

I also enjoyed driving on my own, as it reminded me of the many drives I used to do, which gave me time for a lot of reflection and receiving of insights.

I saw over 60 hawks along the drive…I lost count. I wondered if anyone else paid attention to these magnificent ones that were perched in both visible and not so visible ways. Like a hawk, my eyes locked on to them easily. And of course I wasn’t surprised, as a hawk is part of a sacred tattoo design I’m creating today.

It was our longest drive so far, as we’ve been taking our time in increments so as not to do more than 2 – 3 hours at a time…yesterday was about 6 hours with a stop at a rest area to make lunch.

Kind of a lot for the little ones, yet we felt a straight shoot and not stopping just for a day somewhere we didn’t really want to be made more sense. Plus, we really just wanted to get to the mountains.

Sunrise

It was worth it, as I was really craving being in the forest and mountains and it ended up as lovely as I had hoped. Everyone is really happy.20160124_164603.jpg

The park is very quiet with mostly full timers living here and we got to choose our site, which is by itself surrounded by trees and has a trail literally steps behind it.20160124_165231

After settling in last evening, I prepared a homemade vegan potato leek soup from the produce I picked up at the veggie stand in Moss Landing. That felt like the perfect cozy meal to enjoy for our first chilly night in the forest.20160124_210918_resized

We will be in the outlying area of Lake Tahoe and Reno for the next three weeks, but my schedule is pretty full between designs, clients, prep for one of the first private retreats taking place at our next forest stop, end of the month stuff and February’s newsletter preparation, and visiting with both my family and Dave’s family who are coming up for our yearly ski trip week. Woo!

All of that mixed in with the day-to-day and some balance of nature time for ourselves hiking and snow shoeing, etc., will make for quite the full experience. We’ll see how much I can blog, although I usually put aside my mornings for emails and blogging, alongside caring for the babies.20160124_164658

So I don’t have the ability to do any other private retreats in this area, as the only time I could, has been filled.

Again, that is on a first come first serve basis, so for anyone who has placed a deposit or is thinking of creating one of these with me, you’ll need to please make your desires known as to the type of locations and the time of year preference so that I can arrange putting days aside for you.

I didn’t plan it as such, but today is a special day, which I’ll share in a short separate post.

I’m so grateful to be here and to celebrate this day in such a perfect place.

20160124_170748For those of you who share a love for trees, the forest, and mountains, I hope these images are inspiring and invigorating for you, perhaps solidifies a calling you have to go visit the mountains too, and will light the fire within you to do so.

Magick Monterey

20160123_160702_resized.jpgYesterday we spent the day in Monterey.

After the powerful dream I had the night before last, meeting the God of the Sea, Neptune, the day felt like a freeing gift for my courage.

monterey (15)monterey (12)monterey (13)monterey (14)Full rainbow that lasted a half an hour, sea lions, sea otters, dolphins, Whale Fest, history, and of course vegan yums.

Some days you just feel like you’ve made leaps and yesterday was one of them.

monterey (21)monterey (22).jpgEach time I wanted to manifest seeing something, it happened, right after the giant arching rainbow bridge appeared. All things being framed right below it.

I wanted to see sea lions. There they were.

monterey (7)Both at the end of Coast Guard Pier and all along the edge of the beach and rocks feeding. I’d never seen the colonies of sea lions in groups of like 20 or 30 that swim together as they feed. There were several groups all feeding as such with pelicans and cormorants all around.monterey (23)

Once we saw them I said now I just want to see sea otters, and literally 2 seconds after that one popped up from having gathered lunch.

monterey (25).jpgWe sat watching him for quite a while…so much fun and such flow. And more continued showing up after that along the sea weed beds.monterey (3)monterey (5)

Dolphins would be nice too I thought.

Then two dolphins appeared right near the beach in an area of sea otters and sea lions.

Monterey is so richly abundant with sea life.monterey (16)monterey (11)

It was all such a gift.

monterey (20).jpgWe spent a little time exploring the piers and streets lining the waterside.monterey (9).jpg

Saw some artwork and even came upon a sculpture monument dedicated on my birthday two years ago. Another symbol of rebirth and renewal for me?monterey (18).jpgmonterey (19).jpg

Checked out a couple of shops. Picked up some interesting spicy mustards, hot sauces, bbq sauce, and salsas.monterey (1)

And enjoyed brunch at Julia’s Vegetarian Restaurant, which is all vegan and vegetarian and very quaint and sweet. Their menu says, “We feed the creative minority”. 😉monterey (17).jpg

There we had a vegan potato and veggie scramble and a vegan pastry lorraine with their two soups of the day – a veggie and lentil soup and a spicy corn chili. I loved their hot cider with fresh pressed apples, cinnamon, ginger, and clove.monterey (26)

My tummy and whole body and soul were feeling warm and fired up.

On the way back to Moss Landing we stopped at the large fruit and veggie stand in front of the RV park and picked up some things…beautiful oranges, avocados, leeks, potatoes, portabello mushrooms, veggies for the bunnies, and even another thing I’d been wanting to manifest since Malibu when I got the idea – blueberry fig bars. Yum!

And finished off the day with dinner at Haute again enjoying vegan mexican specialties and a walk back under the Full Moon.monterey (6)

This is a lovely little area I know many love and is another great area to check out if you’re looking for places to explore.

Being oceanside for quite some time now….since we moved into the RV actually in October…has been very supportive for cleansing and renewal.

But we are very ready to head to the mountains now and some higher elevation.

Today we say goodbye to the ocean and make our way inland to the forests, mountains, and snow. I’m looking forward to that very much and how the energy will shift.

Moss Landing ~ A Soft Place To Put Stress To Rest

20160121_161331_resizedAs we continue our journey, for those who are following along or just interested in different areas as either an already RV nomad, intending one day to be, or simply curious about areas to travel to, I’ll continue to post photos and little tidbits about each spot, along with what inspirations and reflections come through where I am.

20160121_161211_resizedWe came to land yesterday in Moss Landing, just 19 miles north of Monterey, CA. The RV park is different than our previous ones with views, but still quaint, park-like with grass areas, trees, and shrubs, very roomy and quiet (likely since off-season), and very well-situated.

We can see the tops of boats in the marina, still hear sea lions barking, and sea gulls all around.20160121_160845_resized

After touching down yesterday and setting up, we decided to get the lay of the land, which revealed how lovely our location was with a bunch of things all within minutes of walking.20160121_171213_resized20160121_171249_resized20160121_160258_resized20160121_171123_resized20160121_171132_resized

There’s this eclectic, old little town (where Hawk greeted me), a few small galleries, the marina (where sea lions were swimming), a bird sanctuary reminding me of the Back Bay in Newport Beach (Great Blue Heron showed up along with a pair of giant white Pelicans and many smaller birds, Sand Pipers, and Cottontail Rabbits), and a wonderful wide sand beach looking out at the vast ocean that has a sand bar that breaks the waves far out.20160121_165157_resized20160121_170513_resized20160121_170630_resized20160121_162158_resized

We even came upon an area where it appeared someone/others had just recently done a little sacred ceremony with Pelican feathers.20160121_164120_resized20160121_164214_resized20160121_164228_resized.jpg

A long walk just taking it all in with gratitude ended with stopping at one of the two Mexican restaurants – The Haute Enchilada Cafe ~ Social Club & Gallery – that are on either side of the RV park, for some happy hour appetizers and refreshments.20160121_171232_resized20160121_171503_resized20160121_171546_resized

They had fun brussels sprouts, squash blossom flautas, and guacamole topped with pomegranate seeds to accompany the chips and salsa – all local organic produce and some vegan and gluten free options. They even had a very spicy ginger beer for me. Woo!20160121_172853_resized

Both the staff at the restaurant and the RV park were all very sweet.20160121_171823_resized

The other Mexican restaurant is supposed to have a fresh fruit and veggie stand outside of it, so I’ll be sure to check that out today. We’ll only be here through Sunday, so plan to get into Monterey tomorrow for a little exploring on the Full Moon.

Until then, it’s another on and off rainy day here, which means another great day for work flow.

It also lends to deepening in reflection, which began yesterday on our walk, about the theme around stress.20160121_161821_resized

I’ve become so aware of who I am naturally, which is not the stressed, easily overwhelmed, nervous anxiety sensitive I learned and used to allow myself to be.

If I get moments of stress now, I am SO aware of it being a foreign presence that has temporarily come to visit my natural, flowing zone. Whereas before I would think and feel as if it WERE actually me and allowed it to control my life.

Now, I’m the constant observer of my life and recognize the energies and triggers that float in and know how to quickly have them flow right through and out again – thanking them for their gift.20160121_163728_resized20160121_163906_resized

I’m navigating the boat I sail and know how to shift my sails to go with the currents and wind. It’s taken years of work, but it’s paid off.

Stress isn’t an invader or something I fear, repress, or try to run from. Stress has become a helpful friend that reminds me instantly of what truly is important, gets my focus back on the here and now, and allows me to see any healthy fears I can simply turn into the courage to be more of myself by embracing and embodying.

“How you think and act can transform your experience of stress. When you choose to view your stress response as helpful, you create the biology of courage. When you choose to connect with others under stress you can create resilience. Now I wouldn’t necessarily ask for more stress in my life, but you can see it as another access to your compassionate heart and to your pounding physical heart to give you strength and energy. You can trust yourself to handle life’s challenges and remember you don’t have to face them alone.”  ~Kelly McGonigal, Health Psychologist

No matter what it is, whether stress, how you feel about yourself, or any part of your life, beliefs will play an important role in repatterning. It’s not the only piece to the puzzle, but shifting perspectives is a huge key to revealing more ease, more answers, and providing more empowerment instantly.

Of course there are other parts to this that play a role and different ways to help yourself process the stress, including the importance of balance, not purposely taking on a crazy amount of things thinking that you’re invincible, nor taking on things out of unhealthy reasons like guilt, victimization, self-sacrifice, self-sabotage, or martyrdom, for instance.

Yet what Kelly shares can begin a new inner dialogue of holistic support that will help to promote reduction in unhealthy stress perceptions that will lead you to healthier perceptions and increased connection, which ultimately puts you on the track to overall well-being.

When you become aware of something, you take back your power to be the “whole” person that you are and realize the perfection inherent in the bigger picture.

Here are pieces of my own experiences and insights on the perception of stress working “for” me and the importance of it leading me to connect with others in my post from a couple of years ago:

Stress, Overwhelment, Anxiety…Spirituality Isn’t An Immunity Pass, But Does Seed You With The Alchemy Of Awareness To Shift It

20160121_162225_resizedThe more we’ve been RV living, the evermore I’m deepening into embodiment of who I naturally am and for that I’m grateful.

Every time we land somewhere new I’m retrieving parts of myself and brightening the heart light within me.

Life has increasingly become balanced, peace-filled, integrative, and natural.

The gifts I’m learning and embodying, I know will continue to live long after this adventure comes to closure.

But in the meantime, I’m seeing how it’s supporting me to the next level of living in natural harmony that I needed and desired.

As I see these beautiful environments, the animals, Nature herself, and the creative expressions and myriad of experiences around me, they are all reflecting what’s innately within me.

From there I know I have the power to do with them as they were intended….return to me.20160121_164437_resized

There’s a soft, but potent energy here – I felt it as soon as we arrived with energy in my Crown – which has softened another layer of my understanding “stress.”

I hope that in sharing the wonder I am seeing through my eyes, that your own collective eyes will find the pieces of your truth in their reflection too.

Soul Purification at Avila Beach

avila beach2.jpg

Well, we landed again in our new temporary home of Avila Beach, just steps from the ocean.

We weren’t sure if we’d end up here, as the rv park isn’t one you can make reservations at and up until about a couple of hours before we came, it was full.

But we just ventured forward along the path and put out intention, trusting that where ever we were meant to be, we would be.

There were a couple of other spots we could go to in Pismo Beach, or near by….they just weren’t quite like this one where you had the potential of being basically on the water.

We checked in via phone when we were about two and a half hours away and the woman said that there was one spot open on the bluff above looking over the ocean, but she couldn’t hold it.

So I sent out energy to save a spot for us for the highest good.

We checked in again when we were about a half an hour away because if it was full we would go to another beach rather than wasting time driving there.

At that point she said there were now two spots open. One on the bluff, but now also one on the beach.

Things were looking good.

When we drove up, they were still both available and we got to choose.

Being that we’d already been up above on a bluff overlooking the ocean, I chose the spot on the beach when Dave said, “you choose.”

And so we landed here, just a few feet from the water’s edge.

avila beach

As as soon as we arrived a large type of vulture landed just in front of the rv by the rocks you see in the photos…renewal/rebirth, cleansing, protection, high awareness and new vision abound.

Vulture reflects a time of purification, perhaps new and valuable insight, trust in patience for alignment, and knowing how to use our power effectively.

Another interesting and meaningful piece of the story about being here is that I’ve spent time here twice in my past, as my parents had a time share that we were able to transfer anywhere and chose here twice.

One time I went with them and the other time I spent a week by myself.

The time I was with my parents I had Nestor with me too. So she actually has spent time here in Avila Beach with me.

I remember her loving to sit by the open sliding glass door and look out at the ocean and breathe in the ocean air.

The synchronous thing is that from where the rv site we have is, I can see the resort where the time share that I stayed at with her is up on the cliff across the way.

Ironic, as she would have been looking out the way where I am now.

It’s almost like a dimensional doorway transcending time and space where we are sharing the same ocean and looking through it to each other.

It’s really special to be here again now after all of these years and having Joy and Cosmo here with me.

Interesting that vultures do help you with new perception on things including the past, as well as embody that cleansing for a rebirth.

I’m sensing that I will do a sacred ceremony and throw some of Nestor’s ashes in the water while we are here.avila beach3

As soon as we were all set up, as there’s a ritual of preparation both for leaving and coming, we enjoyed some appetizers and refreshments, giving the fur babies some snacks too. Then, relaxed watching the water until the sun set and we’ve continued enjoying the ocean with all of the lights off as evening’s glow rolled across the dark watery abyss.

Looking forward to waves as my lullaby tonight.

And seeing what Nestor may have to share in dream time, as I do sleep with her sacred box of ashes just to the left of my bed.

Sweet dreams.

First Stop Malibu ~ Nature Reflecting A Way Back To You

malibu magick bus (1).jpg

view from our picnic table when we arrived

So we landed safely yesterday afternoon to our new home for the next week in Malibu.

I’ve never lived in Malibu, which will end up being the case for all of the destinations we touch ground in over the course of our journey.

So now we actually get a chance to feel out the energy of tons of places we normally would never have the chance to…then better know where we want to ground later down the road when the journey feels at closure.

RV life is really amazing. I get more excited every day.

Again, I know it’s not for everyone, but if you feel it calling to you, or are looking for a different kind of adventure, I highly recommend it.

I don’t think that everyone would necessarily think this would be the way I would enjoy living, based on perceptions they may have of me, but it’s more me than they know!

You can read my post on my discoveries so far, here:

The Gifts RV Living Has To Offer

It’s so fantastic to have all of your life with you where ever you go and get to live in some amazing places and amidst nature in a way you might never.

malibu magick bus (2)

Anyway, we’re here in Malibu and our spot is so wonderful nestled against the hillside of cactus, flowers, and brush on one side, only one neighbor on the other side, and the whole Pacific ocean and part of the coastline out the front without obstruction.

I can already feel the shift in energy and feeling greater peace and flow, which will be perfect for this week’s projects I have including painting a book cover and more designs. Can’t wait to see how those channel forth with the new energy.

malibu magick bus (3)

view from desk last evening…all ocean and coastline as my inspiration

For now, it’s just so wonderful here and I know I’m going to be saying this a lot over the course of the journey because each place will be so unique and wonderful in its own way.

Where we came from in Newport Dunes was really nice, but different nice.

Well situated with a combo of city and nature abound, but the park itself was more crowded and city like where as now we have more space and the park is much less populated and nature is the focus rather than amenities. Just like it was at the Sequoia RV Ranch.

So, nestled on the hillside overlooking the Pacific Ocean is where we are just above Pacific Coast Highway.

We don’t have to close our curtains at night so we can see the view all day long.

We can hear the waves crashing on the shore.

We can watch for sea life…this morning we saw dolphins feeding with a flock of pelicans.

20160111_065350

sunrise this morning from…you can see the new home my mini traveling garden has on the picnic table over looking the ocean

And we can watch the sunrises and sunsets over the water.

We arrived on an overcast day, and then woke to a brilliant color-splashed sunrise, but as you can see there’s just a beauty and coziness no matter the weather.

20160111_064921

view out the back….colors rising over the ocean

I spent the first hour of my morning before anyone was up, taking in the sunrise and watching the ocean with Cosmo on my chest sleeping.

We became the peace together.

20160111_065955

my view this morning from my desk as the sun was rising and no one was up yet

And now I’m getting ready to make a vegan pancake feast!

All of this keeps driving home to me what’s most important in my life and to my well being.

And slows down life in a way that feels most natural and not driven by “ideas” that have no validity except the power I place behind them.

It also is helping to solidify the elements we are looking for when we decide to settle down and create a home somewhere again.

Nature has a way of slowing things down and bringing out the best in us.

No matter where you are, I hope that you will take time to enjoy the natural around you.

It truly isn’t a luxury, but a necessary ingredient to harmony, balance, and well being.

Nature is a way back to you…the real embodiment of our essence.

The more I hear about people getting sick, challenges overwhelming people, health crises on the rise…the more this message becomes crucial.

Don’t push off what is available to you today.

Your body and soul will thank you and you’ll become incredibly more productive and creative.

Lost your spark or inspiration?

Feeling overwhelmed and disconnected?

Forgot what is sacred and truly valuable in your life?

Nature is the key to your personal alchemy.

Everything you think is crucial and important really isn’t.

It can all wait.

You can’t.

The Gifts RV Living Has To Offer ~ What I’ve Discovered So Far From This New Journey That’s Only Just Begun

With just 25 days remaining until our grand RV adventure begins and already a little over 2 months (64 days to be precise) under my belt of this new lifestyle, I wanted to share just a bit about the gifts RV living has brought to light for me and what I’ve enjoyed most, SO FAR, from this experience.

Living in “The Magick Bus,” as her name reveals, is well….magickal.

And that has been both in extraordinary and not so extraordinary ways. Below I’ll share the more simple things, as I share quite a bit about the magick and miraculous stuff, and yet these simple things to me are the magick and elixir of life.

Now of course you don’t have to live in an RV in order to experience these things, nor is this lifestyle for everyone.

But it is perfect for me/us for the place we are in life currently, and I am loving how everything I hold dear, is of value to me, and have been the fundamentals of my learning and teaching, have been reflected profoundly through this choice of living at this time period in my life.

Not to mention, is the perfect “vehicle” to support, navigate, and journey to where my path leads.

rv3

I thought I’d share a few photos of our tiny house on wheels, alongside this reflection, so you can get more of an idea what living this way is like. I’ve received some messages from people who weren’t clear about what an RV is and have never seen the inside of one to comprehend fully how it is possible, so I’m sharing a little inside reveal to acclimate you a bit to my current world.

And just to put it into context further, our RV is 39 feet long and has three slide-outs that go out on either side of it, extending the interior square footage when we are stationed somewhere.

rv2

Rather than write what could be a huge comprehensive story, I thought instead I’d share a list, along with corresponding reflections, on things that living this way has brought to light, supported, and reiterated for me.

This will include some of the simple joys and fun I’ve taken away from this experience.

I’m likely missing stuff, but I think you’ll get the picture from my shares below.

rv4

So, in no particular order, here we go:

  • Simplicity really helps clear the air – Along with having less things and living mindfully there are less distractions, less energetic clutter, everything blares out more profoundly, and I experience greater joy. This helps in all areas of life, including connecting with myself, let alone with others.
  • Everything that I love and is important to me travels with me everywhere I go – This is so cool! Like really cool! I have my little family and all our good food, our own sheets to sleep in, my most important crystal friends, books I’m currently reading, my work supplies, and the fundamentals we enjoy and that make our life work. It’s all easily accessible, doesn’t sit idle in excess, and was hand-chosen for its functionality in terms of needs and deepest desires.rv6
  • Everything is within me – This feels more true than ever, as I’m happier and more at peace than ever living simply and yet still experiencing the abundance and expanse as an energy I embody and seeing more how when I embody that, life reflects it.
  • I realize how very little one truly needs in actual experience, rather than as an idea alone – This goes without need for explanation. Don’t get me wrong, as there is nothing wrong with having things and creating beauty and a sanctuary in the way that nurtures you. I know the value of that and we will one day create that again (with a different perspective). It’s only to say that in truth, these things are not needs, but a choice to have. And when we truly embody being an abundant being, we don’t live with attachments and so we more easily flow in and out of being okay either way, which makes life much more peaceful.
  • Everything has its place and creates a constantly organized, clear space to live and work in – This helps keep away the “noise” and confusion. Because space is limited in terms of storage and in general, you simply have to keep things organized and you put things back to their spot when finished with it. I’m a very organized person as it is, so this works well with how I am naturally, while ensuring there’s always a good flow of chi too.rv
  • It forces us to be present and mindful – There are things to be aware of in how we care for our home, making sure everything is in working condition so we aren’t stranded with a challenge, thinking ahead to what we may need when traveling especially in remote areas, thinking ahead as to things to secure while traveling to avoid damage inside, and following a process to get set up and broken down at each destination. We also need to be aware of weather and where things are located around us that we may need along the way. Life becomes both an adventure and a way of preparedness so that you are mentally, physically, and emotionally equipped for potentials along the way.
  • A smaller space provides opportunity for greater communing and family unit energy – This has been a huge plus for everyone. The bunnies now are part of daily life all of the time, as they are stationed in the dining/living area where I mostly work and across from the kitchen where a lot of action takes place. 🙂 They have more access to dad constantly and all four of the animals, kitties included, are much more closely knit with each other. There’s still enough room for everyone to have their little nook, but we feel the truth of that collective connection no matter if we’re engaged in our own individual thing or not. This creates a lot more bonding time and nurturing for all.
  • A smaller space makes good communication a must and not a luxury you can push off until later – RV life would be a challenge for people who don’t have a healthy relationship and don’t yet have good communication skills. It also won’t work if you absolutely need physical separation for large portions of your days. And yet, it is the perfect environment to cultivate all of that into a healthy and thriving relationship, if you wanted to commit to the process. Luckily Dave and I have worked diligently on our communication over the years, but RV life has deepened that and continues to really amaze me in beautiful ways, as to how much more we’ve come together on this and many levels. We work well together and there’s just enough space and areas in the RV to be able to do our work, have quiet if needed for phone calls or when he likes to take naps with a sliding door that separates bedroom from living space, and provides the outdoors for individual and joint sharing.
  • A smaller space means you learn to operate within a shared space and learn healthy energetic boundaries and speaking your truth, rather than needing to physically separate yourself – This goes along with the last one, but to add, this really cultivates working with your energy and learning how to expand and contract it, create energetic bubbles, honor and respect each other’s needs, and still remain connected without having to actually physically divorce oneself from the situation altogether. This is handy when out in the world or simply feeling the energy of things around you as a sensitive, as you learn to control and funnel your own energetic experience of that and know that you can.
  • Everyday is fun – This is the absolute truth since day one. I’ve been dancing and singing around our home and enjoying what used to be routine stuff with excitement like it’s the first time for everything. I was so thrilled in our first week and feeling so light and joyous from the get-go. Even mundane things like operating an appliance is as if for the first time. It’s like I’m living in a little Faery or Hobbit home that’s cozy and fuzzy in all the ways I like. I’m still at the same level of excitement and giddiness, which will increase with each destination.rv8
  • I’m always surrounded by the outdoors and spend even greater time there – It’s fun to look out my window just a few feet in either direction and to see and be outdoors. Having a home that moves around and one day bears and deer may be wandering by, while the next there’s the beach out my window, is exciting. Especially to one who loves Nature so much. It creates great ease to take a walk, hike, bike, kayak, etc….because we have everything with us and it’s all easily accessible. Whether skiing, snorkeling, mountain biking, or a leisurely stroll…we have all the equipment necessary carried with us. And with selling my car, I get to take advantage of my bike more too and do fun things like errands, biking to lunch, and grocery shopping when ever I want.
  • Life’s pace slows down – In a world of anxiety and stress and all things moving fast creating pressures, it sure is nice to step out of that. Because there is more mindfulness in this way of living, and it does, at least for us, cause greater reflection on everything, life has slowed down and the cherishing of things has rooted much deeper.
  • I ride my bike more and get more natural exercise – I mentioned this above, but in general it does create a more active lifestyle even if it is just taking a walk. We have walked to dinner several times and take walks day, evening, or night. It’s just more fun!
  • It sparks greater creativity, as I learn to live in a new way and receive inspiration daily – All of this creates a foundation for inspired channeling with all of the natural beauty and the daily lessons and learning I continue to have and experience in a much more clear way. And because we have to often think creatively in terms of how to organize something, maximize something, create something in terms of upgrades we’ve been doing, think ahead and explore multiple potentials and what that would involve, etc. it stretches our minds and fosters more creative energy in general.
  • There’s a whole community of RV people that are really nice and like to help one another when in need – This has really been cool to experience how everyone smiles, waves, says hi, or offers a helping hand and starts a conversation, where a lot of times people will stay to themselves mostly. Although we’re all in our RV homes, there’s a difference here than in a house, where people feel more connected to you, rather than separate. Perhaps that’s the feeling of a tribe and shared nomadic lifestyle they feel kinship with, or perhaps it puts us in an experience that gets closer to living like the olden days, building fires and enjoying the simple pleasures of the outdoors, story-telling, and assisting one another for survival….there’s definitely a Root Chakra aspect to it all, which feels enriching and grounding.
  • There’s no hiding from things, especially not within a relationship – I like being transparent as it is, but living closely together ensures this, as it also supports talking a lot and without distractions, even the not as energetically sensitive would have an easy time knowing when their partner has something going on or is in need. I like this a lot, as I don’t feel things should be left festering and with constant communication, and always being brought face-to-face with someone or something (it can be just with yourself too), you just have to do something about it, as otherwise things will be really unpleasant. Like the many windows into the world this RV opens us up to seeing, it also opens the windows into ourselves and into each other, which is invaluable. Plus, you can’t ignore your RV’s needs either, as it is your home and carries you from point A to point B safely. So everything becomes a heightened experience of being conscious about what’s going on in and around you.
  • Home is where the heart is – That’s an easy one to understand. No matter where we go, we both literally and symbolically ARE home.rv5
  • Life is an adventure and journey – Everything I find to be an unfolding mini adventure and it takes the journey to a whole other meaning, as we again, both literally and symbolically are living that out. I find that the action, plus the inner work, and literal motion of bringing those together is quite powerful.
  • Life has become ever more peaceful – This goes without saying…It just is and this is the most peaceful I’ve been. Even the cats don’t fight anymore and seem much more at peace and connective and our male cat stopped peeing where he shouldn’t, so isn’t feeling a need to act out or create boundaries. There is harmony.
  • We learn to work together even better as a team and our relationship is stronger than ever – Our focus is team-work in our relationship and as a partnership. And living in the RV has expounded upon that in knowing how everything we do benefits one another and our little family and makes our life more seamless. So when there’s something to work on, we do it together. If one of us has something we’re going through or accomplishing, we know it’s to the benefit of both of us and will affect us both and so we work harder together on it.
  • We don’t take any little thing for granted – We’ve become ultra aware of gratitude magnified hugely. Not that I didn’t always see the magick and was grateful for things, but it’s just all so much deeper and profoundly visceral and we remind each other of the things we’re coming to understand, which is a lovely reiteration we keep ourselves on track with in terms of what’s most important.
  • We have opportunity to spend more time living in balance with Nature and her cycles/seasons – We’re outdoors more so this goes without saying, but we also will be following seasons and weather patterns in terms of our traveling, so it’s much more in harmony with Earth’s cycles. We have also seen how things we do and our moves keep aligning with the Moon cycles, so we’ve gotten into a rhythm that is now operating naturally.
  • Living more off-grid – We still have a lot of amenities including a stove-top, convection oven, washer/dryer, internet, and all of my kitchen appliances, but we also added solar panels and living in the RV prompted me to get my Sun Oven, a small fire pit grill, a mini cloud day stove and fire starter cubes and mini garden of veggies so I can receive gifts of the Sun and Nature while being less reliant on conveniences. It reminds me of when I was a child playing with my Holly Hobby and a lifestyle I’d imagine her having and loved to make-believe with, and my Betty Crocker Easy Bake Mini Oven I used to have and love. LOL! Definitely a home for a Faery.rv7
  • Life is more vibrant – Just like with receiving a Reiki initiation attunement to one of the levels, living this way has created a vibrancy and richness to everything (a bird just literally brushed up against my window as I’m writing this right now). It all seems surreal and the colors and textures, smells, experiences all seem so deepened and different. Taking this to a whole new level.
  • I sleep and dream deeply – I’ve mentioned this before that my dreams have been really layered, prophetic, clear, directly messaging and symbolic, and sleep has been deep and very needed. Feels refreshing here and I feel closer to the elements and even to Cosmic energy.
  • I can hear the rain and wind more, plus all the sounds of Nature –  This is so wonderful being curled up and cozy inside our tiny house on wheels surrounded by nature through the windows directly a step away. I couldn’t hear the rain as much in our previous house and now I do. Love it.
  • I am in touch with more animals – I get to see more animals rather than just when I made a trip to the beach or hiking, but in general more types I don’t get to see unless journeying farther and deeper into areas not normally part of every day life. This is opening their wisdom and messages to breathe through to me and so more animal spirit guide presences are a welcome gift.
  • Less things to manage means more time for other things and less stress – A smaller home and things means less things to take care of. That equates to lessening the load and just softening the edge on responsibilities so that the most important responsibilities can be focused on and what there is can be greater enjoyed.
  • Everything is more day-to-day and moment-to-moment lived out loud and feels more vital with newness and opportunity – We go with the flow of guidance even more so now and will be once we begin traveling. Only our hearts and Nature guiding us. Every day presents a wider variety of newness for us, which for me is stimulating, as I don’t like complacency and I like to be challenged with something bigger all the time.
  • We’ll get to explore all the hidden beauty everywhere – I’ve traveled a lot outside of the U.S. and now I get to explore all the varied areas and National Parks in our own backyard, as well as get to explore parts of Mexico and Canada we feel called to. And we get to have all of our family and our own home where ever we go, so I won’t have to leave my cherished ones behind.
  • We keeping seeing how life is imperfectly perfect and none of the things we think matter, actually do – Our RV isn’t perfect. We’ve constantly found things to fix or upgrade and guess what, things will continue to need our love and attention, but we’re happy. Does an RV do that for you and a house not? Of course not. But as mentioned, for us, this has driven home these concepts in a more actualized way, rather than simply an idea. There’s nothing about our life to impress anyone with and we know that not everyone resonates with or even thinks living in an RV is cool, let alone would actually live this way. But we love it. The more removed we are from things, the greater connection we feel. It’s an interesting dichotomy, but then I love dichotomies. But this trickles into our own experience of ourselves and our work…we’re seeing the imperfect perfection of it all/of us all and how really okay and wonderful that is.
  • My senses feel heightened – Can’t explain the why’s of this, but they do. Perhaps it is an increased experience of what feels most natural to me, which amplifies an experience of greater connection to all of my senses..five and beyond.
  • I feel closer to the stars – This is literal in terms of both seeing them all the time from the windows of the RV or while lying in bed, to also having increased Cosmic experiences in dream and walk time. Stripping away thicker house walls to being in the thin RV walls that sit out in the elements, feels like it translated also to a thinning of the veil and a clearer channel of experience.
  • I feel more me – Yay!rv site

A Little Christmas Fun Here on the Back Bay

20151206_214914_resizedWhile this isn’t our ideal location of RV living spot, as we like the more remote and fully nature surrounded parks away from the city, it is a very amenity-rich and accessible area to a lot of things living on the Back Bay at Newport Dunes.20151206_214933_resized

I’m everything not Orange County, but that has also created an interesting and powerful dichotomy, as many of us find ourselves living in areas for other purposes bigger than ourselves.20151207_184536_resized

Regardless and despite the close spaces and urban setting, there are a lot of cool things here, which include living right on the lagoon with kayaking, boating, paddle boarding – you name it, walking and biking access to the Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge, biking accessibility to Balboa Island and beach boardwalk that takes you all the way up the coast to Seal Beach, pool and jacuzzi, playground and swings (I’ve enjoyed very much!), a mini market, clubhouse with weekly events and arts and crafts, walking distance to restaurants and close to movie theater, park events and concerts, and gorgeous sunsets and wildlife due to the bird sanctuary here.20151207_184447_resized

However, the things I love most are the lagoon and back bay we walk a lot to take in the wildlife and serenity, and of course the wild rabbit that lives here and makes herself known at synchronous times.20151206_214803_resized

And now the Christmas lights and decorations that are all around the RV park here are warming my inner child’s heart, including some of my favorite characters – Yukon Cornelius, the Misfit Toys, Santa, and the Abominable! (missing Hermie and Rudolph however!) 20151206_214819_resized20151206_214842_resizedThere are light displays set up from onset of coming into the park.20151207_184404_resized20151207_184423_resized

And a majority of people decorate their RVs inside and out.20151207_184648_resized They also have a light display that sits right on the water of the lagoon, which looks so magickal when the water is like a glass mirror of liquid darkness that the lights sit upon, making the trees look like those spinning top toys when they are erect or like a whirling dervish dancing on a mirrored floor.20151206_215216_resized20151206_220306_resized

We were walking around the lagoon a couple of nights ago and I snapped these photos on our walk of the lagoon and the light displays in the park, as I giggled at the characters I discovered.20151206_215327_resized

20151206_220213_resizedAs we started to cross the “Happy Holidays” entrance to the bridge we heard the call of a Great Blue Heron that had been sitting near it and in the dark we caught his graceful body and massive wing expanse flying across the water, landing on one of the platforms of a lighted Christmas tree. You can just make out his form there, lit by the lights, to the right in these two photos below. What a wonderful gift and symbolism.20151206_220353_resized20151206_220356_resized Anyway, I thought I’d share some of the Christmas light fun and beauty here to awaken that spirit of childlike wonder within you.20151206_215638_resized20151206_215317_resized And like the stillness of the water, set aglow by the lighted Christmas trees mirroring their images upon it, may you also experience that peace within you that is always available, regardless of the energy around, and stand in your light as an example for others to reflect their own.20151206_215024_resized

An Invitation: Private Immersive Retreats with Tania Marie

This is a fun video I was inspired to put together yesterday to touch in a bit about one of the things my new RV lifestyle provides the opportunity to offer to anyone that has been called to work with me and join a retreat experience.

Only this invitation is all about YOU!

You can find out the details of what this is all about, involves, and the endless possibilities to experience (which I don’t get into in the video) at the link below, which weaves it all together a bit more.

The link also shares about how you can join me on your own Private Immersive Retreat, custom co-created to meet your needs and desires:

Private Immersive Retreats with Tania Marie

As always, you can contact me with questions.

You’ll start to get a theme with my video shares that I’m all about simplicity and doing things naturally.

What you see is what you get with me. I’m no different in any setting you find me in.

So there’s no fancy filming (I’m not techy at all), no editing (other than linking separate videos together because my camera cuts me off! – I had to google how to do that lol!), and you’re just getting me raw and in the flow of the energy of the moment.

I never know exactly what I’m going to say, or how it will come through, but that’s how I like it.

Keeping it real. Letting the human and magickal merge in the moment.

So here I am again, just being me, sharing about my invitation to you to join me in both an immersion with Nature and the Nature of You.
