Once in a Blue Moon & Once in a Lifetime Mom
We have an incredibly rare (first one in 150+ years) Super Blue Blood Moon Total Lunar Eclipse in Leo today that took place between 4:51 am and 6:07 am. It is the second Supermoon of the month, which makes it known as a Blue Moon and therefore is a “once in a Blue Moon” occurrence. It also happens to be my mom’s 75th birthday today – happy birthday mom! Talk about a cosmic celebration for this milestone day and talk about a once in a lifetime mom. ❤
Photo taken this Saturday on the 27th as my mom headed out to a romantic celebration – the reason my parents couldn’t make our house blessing. Looking good mom!
Seems appropriate she should get a big cheer all the way from the stars, as she is a star herself – always giving, loving, and carrying joy and lightness in her heart. I’m very grateful to have her as my mom and we are lucky to have someone like her on Earth along with all of the other Earth Angels, working to make this world a better place filled with kindness and compassion.
2018 is a big year for my family with milestone celebrations – my mom’s 75th birthday, my 45th birthday, my parent’s 50th wedding anniversary, Dave’s 55th birthday, and our 10th anniversary. It also seems to be a big year for other things, which of course include celebrating our new home being complete and some other personal shifts upcoming.
Interestingly, I have been feeling my birthday shift since end of December for some reason, perhaps because of all of the new and changes. I seem to already be in celebration mode along with my mom, which is no surprise since she and I are so close and always have been like two peas in a pod. This has included already gifting myself things, which I have found important to do these last couple of years, and receiving early birthday gifties. So, I feel we are celebrating together our 75th and 45th and of course gifties are on their way to mom, to add to the vegan pizza and cake celebration upcoming!
There will be no Full Moon in my birthday month of February, although last year there was a New Moon Solar Eclipse on my 44th. This “no Full Moon month” is another rare occurrence that happens about four times a century (the last was in 1999) and only takes place in February due to the lunar cycle being longer than the number of days this month has. And thus, January and March end up with two Full Moons as a result.
Anyway, I didn’t set my clock to wake to see the Moon this morning, but apparently my internal clock knew, as I woke at just after 5 am to use the restroom (hehe). I found Astrid in the living room taking in the Moon and found the Moon perfectly situated in an opening of the trees in the forest out back, which would put it directly over the lake at this time. I continued to watch it until the first light started to illuminate it again. But up until then, the moon was big and red and very ominously mysterious sitting in this portal of the Forest Portal.
I stated my intentions aloud and anything I wanted to release in order to create them.
When the light arrived, it was almost like an egg birthing on the left side of the moon because although it created a crescent shape as it extended right, it had this small protrusion where the light kissed the dark, making it very interesting looking.
I watched it until the moon moved behind the trees and went back to bed to relax and rest some more.
I’ve definitely been feeling the energy of this moon, as the last few days I’ve felt the need for more rest and nurturing than normal.
It offers a clearing and liberating energy, to uncover the real, live that consistently, and be the love of the New Earth on every level. I’ve been seeing and hearing of more and more people stepping into the life they dreamed of, making the impossible possible, and manifesting new shifts with their life and careers by going for their dreams all the way!
A potent portal for evolutionary change on a global scale and individually.
And a potent birthday for mom.
July 31, 2015 Full “Blue Moon” ~ Ready to Forge a New Path?
Although there are no challenging aspects to this Full Moon, keep in mind there are six planets retrograde.
I’ve heard both sides of the spectrum in terms of people feeling excited and experiencing a green light to things they’ve been working on, and also challenges and struggles from feeling up against a wall and experiencing continued “suffering” or things they thought being over coming back on the scene again.
Here are two astrologer’s take on the energies of the Full Blue Moon today.

“The July 31st Blue Moon will be a road opener, helping to forge a new path ahead that allows you to move out of your comfort zone and into new territory.
Ever heard the phrase- “it only happens once in a blue moon” ?
However once in a while, the Moon moves through one and half cycles- a full Moon to a new Moon and then back to a full Moon again, all within the same month.
This second full Moon is known as a Blue Moon and we won’t experience another one until 2018.
This Blue Moon falls on July 31st in the sign of Aquarius and will follow the cycle that was started earlier in the month on the July 1st Capricorn Full Moon.
Remember, Full Moon’s represent completion or endings, so this month we will all be given two opportunities to bring things to a close or resolution.
This is important, as clearly the Universe has been providing all of us with a lot of energy that needs to be cleared and released.
Know that although this may feel heavy at times, this Full Moon is definitely positive and will be helping us all to set a new course in motion – change is coming!
With two key planets moving retrograde this month- Venus and Uranus and Saturn continuing his retrograde through Scorpio, there is a lot of backwards energy that needs to be cleared in order for all of us to be able to move forward.
This means that the Universe is really going to be asking us to dig up and revisit the past in order to clear out old, outdated beliefs so we can start fresh.
Venus will be asking us to do this in matters pertaining to love and money and Uranus will be helping us to change our self-limiting beliefs and boundaries to provide us with a new sense of freedom.
Uranus is all about change and as he moves retrograde we are all going to be encouraged to really sort through the things in our lives that are holding us back and preventing us from living up Ato our truest potential.
Saturn on the other hand will be ensuring that we make all of our new decisions and changes with responsibility and respect to what we have all learnt from our past experiences.
In fact, this Blue moon will really be acting as a road opener and will allow us to start reviewing and assessing where we need to change course in our lives.
Within four days either side of the Blue moon, it is likely that you will see new opportunities present themselves, or perhaps you may be challenged to do something different. Perhaps a new path will open up out of the blue that you may have never considered before.
While it is good to be comfortable, sometimes our comfort zone can become debilitating and can hold us back from really moving forward and discovering who we truly are.
This Blue Moon is all about moving out of the ‘comfort zone’ and into new territory so we can get a fresh perspective on our lives and where we are heading. In order to really explore new territory we have to trust the Universe and go with the flow.

Mars the planet of action and desire enters Leo on August 8. He wants to play. This is good time for recreation. Re-creation. Mars can give you a boost of self-confidence in Leo. You may feel more outgoing. You are ready to take a chance. The greater the risk the greater the reward. This is an awesome energy for working out and playing in team sports. Mars can empower your greater self-expression for the next seven weeks.
Jupiter enters Virgo on August 11. He will be in Virgo until September 2016. You move from the big idea and dream in Leo. You are getting to work in discerning Virgo. You do not want what is most pretty. What is the real substance in the person or project? This is a good time to expand your field of knowledge or develop your technical skills. You may be more practical and intellectual in your approach to business and life. Watch out for cynicism or being too critical. This is Your Time – Early 12/21/12 Wishes

As I make final preparations to depart tomorrow on a journey that’s been in the making for longer than can be accounted for by standard time calculations, I am feeling many things at opposite spectrums all at once – excitement, nervousness, strength, vulnerability, emotions, release, embrace, high and low energy, but most of all it is culminating in a greater sense of peace, trust and love.
Tomorrow I will be heading out for the first leg of our journey to Bimini and the Atlantis Vortex where our group will be working with the 12/21/12 Winter Solstice and Stargate energies in support of creating a new collective reality, activated through our hearts.
Between 12/16 and 12/22 I will be away on this retreat with 16 other beautiful souls. The 17 of us will be immersed in the energy of aqua waters and sun, dolphin brothers and sisters, Reiki, raw vegan foods, yoga, meditation and heart connecting to not only activate personal empowerment, but to assist collectively in shifting energy vibrations into a new state of being. We come together to courageously face truth, fears, and integrate deep healing, so as to find the power and wisdom at the core of our hearts.

Those who really know me, know that I am a child at heart and that while I may have complexities and feel and think deeply, it always seem to channel through me in simple ways. As truly I believe that it is only we that make things complicated. And in honor of that little girl who is moved by the simple things 🙂 I wanted to share this very pure song’s message that has a meaningful place in my life, of which I will save for another story.

In celebration of tomorrow’s Full Blue Moon in Pisces (the rare 2nd Full Moon of the month), I’m sharing my newest painting to reflect upon titled, “Once in a Blue Moon” – the 5th painting in my Universal ARKitecture series that is now available both in prints and original.
Emotions and energy seem to be amplified right now, but we can choose to embrace and flow with these energies by staying grounded, centered and present within. Taking a moment to have open perspectives and use wise discernment can shift you from reaction to response and result in more graceful experiences. This is a great time to commune with the divine union of male and female energies within and to honor those core emotions so you can create from that integrated space of unconditional love that resides in your heart. Allow yourself to envision your hopes in abundant expansiveness and spend some time in the magical realms of your dreams.
Blue Moons in traditional folklore were defined as the 4th Full Moon in a season, not as the 2nd Full Moon of a month, like it is known today. This is your last chance to see a Blue Moon until the next Blue Moon on July 31, 2015. The moon will be at its fullest at 9:58 a.m. EDT (1358 GMT) on Friday 8/31/12. The phrase “once in a blue moon” is used to refer to something that is extremely rare, rather than literally referring to the color of the Moon. It is also extremely rare to have 2 Full Blue Moons in a given year. The last time this occurred was in 1999 and the next time won’t be until 2018.
