Soft, light, and flexible – some of the words that speak to me a lot in recent years. Things and concepts aren’t new, but they increasingly become palpable the greater of depths they root.

The photos in this post are from mid and late Spring, but they reflect how these energies were carried with me this year and continue to anchor as the years go on.

I’ve seen and felt myself breathe deeper, release more, and expand wider.

And much of that has come from going through the darker and more traumatic experiences.

They needn’t debilitate, block, or break us….they can in fact be the birth canal to expansion.

Soft, to me, speaks of more compassion and letting go…of less attachment and rigidness…more love and less judgment…less speaking at others and more listening to others…less power over and more self empowerment that doesn’t need to make up for what’s been given away.

Light, for me, isn’t just about shining more or seeing the silver linings amidst murky chaos, but is about more release, less heaviness…more flow and less tightness…becoming clearer so your energy is lighter than a feather.

And flexible, as I feel it, is finding more common ground and connectivity, looking at ways to bridge and not separate or break things…less stubbornness and walls…more openness and adaptability.

As I’ve shared before, life continues to invite us into a dance of softening grace in our hearts and on all levels and toward life itself. It’s understandable that life circumstances can create a hardening, but at some point we may need to unlearn that, as hardening tends to crack and break at some point.

Softening isn’t about weakness.

It’s a strength that knows it needs no false shield to be empowered.

Standing fiercely in transparency and truth comes with a softer more vulnerable approach – one that is willing to reveal the authenticity and trusts the power of that to speak for itself.

If all of our buds remained closed, we would never have fields of flowers to nurture the Earth and all of her children.

What ever the day brings, may it be a day for one more petal of your bud, to bend and unfurl toward the light and soften its tight hold.
