Enchantment Is as Enchantment Does
A couple of weeks ago while visiting friends, I was immediately drawn in by these enchanted lilac succulents in their front yard garden (pictured above). It was like a moth to a flame, or in this case a faerie to a flame. đ
I was literally overwhelmed with the magickal resonance they gave off. Our friends have a beautiful garden they’ve lovingly cultivated front and back of their house, but these lilac beauties were simply mesmerizing. And I wondered how many others actually noticed them when they passed by.
Their presence in the garden was a mutual celebration among the other plants around and the whole garden was enhanced by this shared comradery of joy. A lovely reflection for humanity and how we each touch and enhance one another’s lives by the gifts we each bring to the co-creation shared.
These beauties reminded me of times long ago, the places in my dreams that trigger memories of home, visions in my imagination, the muses for my paintings, the way my heart feels, but more simply….that enchantment is an experience of heightened awareness, tuned in to its presence that is reflected from within us.
When you surrender to the captivation of life, you live a charmed life. And not only do you experience life as enchanted, but enchanting things show up as an extension of your created reality.
I see the magickal and enchanted because I believe in it, I create it, I live it, and I’m still awake in that old childhood dreamtime.
Enchantment is a fragrant friend that tickles your senses and leaves you intoxicated by life.
âWe wait, starving for moments of high magic to inspire us, but life is full of common enchantment waiting for our alchemists eyes to notice.â ~Jacob Nordby
The simplest of things can be the sweetest reminders and the greatest of divinely timed inspirations. And it is eternally present awaiting YOUR engaged presence.
âSo, I said, when does the enchantment start? We were sitting side by side, facing the mountains. “It started when the earth was born.” Her eyes were closed. Her face was golden in the setting sun. “It never stops. It is, always. It’s just here.â ~Jerry Spinelli
But don’t just take my word for it….experience it for yourself. Start imagining life as you would like to experience it, start living as if it is already your experience, and be more mindful of each moment that is reflected to you. I may just be crazy, but I sure am creating a joyful reality. đ
âWhen someone from Faerie ever tells you something, you can see it – you can feel it – you believe it. For the true value of enchantment and its glamour, is in the imparting of a truth – by truth’s own persuasion it makes itself real.â ~Gabriel Brunsdon
Enchantment by Valerie Dohren:
Enchantment steals my weary heart
When`er I see the golden dawn
Which so does set my soul aflame
That I should never be forlorn
To see the beauty in a smile
To feel such magic all around
Delights me with the sweetest joy
In every sight, in every sound
Enchantment plays upon the soul
To captivate, such charms convey
All heavens wonders that we see
Around us through each passing day
Enchantment be the stars that shine
Enchantment is the glowing moon
Enchantment in the twisting vine
Enchantment through the sun at noon
Enchantment be the rambling brook
Enchantment is the rolling sea
Enchantment in the eyes that look
Enchantment through the eyes that see
Your Belief In Yourself Matters
Self-sabotage is more powerful than anything that can happen to you. Why? Because it is self-inflicted, self-defeating and will predetermine how everything else plays out, as a direct reflection of it.
Since you create your own reality, which starts within yourself and your feelings, thoughts, and beliefs, then everything you tell yourself becomes the master template for your life experiences.
When you believe in yourself with unwavering faith, you have the power to overcome any challenges and obstacles, move beyond perceived limitations, and create unlimited opportunities.
You create doorways where there weren’t any before, and wings to fly when your feet can no longer support you.
