Summer Solstice is here once again and the alpine days in Tahoe are just bursting with the vibrancy that this time of year and this gateway celebrates, as you can explore for yourself through the photo montage within this blog post.

We enjoyed a beautiful, long weekend of Father’s Day with my parents visiting and extended anniversary celebrations, as yesterday was our 2 year wedding and shared 5 year anniversary of Astrid’s arrival to our family. Although we married, and Astrid came home, on Solstice of those years, Solstice is the 21st this year and it aligns with the Solstice portal that Joy chose 6 years ago to return to the stars.

So, yes, it’s a full experience of many heart moving things when Summer Solstice rolls around for us. It’s also such a joyous time when the mountains and forests here start to bloom, song birds light up our days with harmonic sweetness, the light extends long into the warmer evenings, and one can’t help but feel revitalized and inspired.

I love sun-kissed days and skin, summer dresses, bare feet, expanding my lungs through daily outdoor adventures, and dreaming as expansive as the skies and vistas before me.

Summer Solstice and the season this gateway opens, always reminds me of the Sun Tarot card – one that I’ve always resonated with as a reflection of my heart and essence.

Every year continues to speed along, and yet while things accelerate, it speaks to the great benefit of being ever more present so that you can inhale every gift-of-a-moment, as well as learn how to shift out of attachment and ego-based stories, and embody a more peace-filled relationship to everything and everyone.

The loudest message these days is that of presence and how this helps us to change how we relate to triggers, realize that we are not the person reacting, we are not the person or thing that someone else is reacting too either, and helps us to cultivate greater peace that assists in returning to our center and essence.

I’m sharing photos from our recent hikes of the last few days, as they hold the frequency of Summer Solstice to me and as much as they have inspired new dreams and fresh promise for me, I hope they will do the same for you.

I find that pictures can be far better than words at reflecting a vibration and message.

I am envisioning revitalization for everyone’s current experiences, as we welcome in today’s Solstice. Remember that this is a time of blossoming, celebrating, embodying self-awareness and your essence, releasing the old patterns of suppression, and recharging the mind, body, and spirit to bring what you desire into your life, or at least to experience greater embodied empowerment and wholeness.

This is a time of the Divine and Sacred dance, union, and balance of the Feminine (Earth, Mother, Moon) with the Masculine (Sky, Father, Sun) energies.

A time that the Mayans believed to be for spiritual initiation and change, creating ceremony to balance the Earth’s energy, and invoking that Ká a yaán tah experience of “being reborn.”

This is an opportune chance to invite the Sun’s energy to connect with your Higher Self and to follow inspiration and dreams, while tuning inside and realizing the alchemy of “as within, so without”.

And so it is.

Although I had hoped to have the magickal Summer Solstice offerings available today, I realized that there was too much involved to have ready that quickly, so I let them navigate their timing instead of me.

Besides, they also needed time to immerse in, and get charged up from, this portal. So, in fact, I have them all out in the garden since yesterday afternoon to soak in the Summer Solstice peak opening that was in the early morning today, here. They will remain there through the day and perhaps all of the backend prep will be ready tomorrow, the 22nd. I normally don’t post twice in a row these days, but if tomorrow is the day they’re ready, then so be it.
