Hoppy Easter! Astrid & the Bunnies Share An Extra Gift to Inspire Bunny Awareness & Spread More Love & Joy
The last couple of days have been extraordinarily beautiful in ways I can’t fully express, but demonstrate love and connection in the sweetest of ways. This Libra Full Moon has truly illuminated the value of quality connections, love’s integrity, and how depth of gratitude and generosity shared between one another is the fabric of life’s rich abundance that can carry you on wings of joy, inspiration, and truest fulfillment.
We also received so many photos, reviews, and beautiful posts about how our creations have been touching people’s lives and how the energy has been impactful in meaningful, healing, and transformative ways.
These are just a couple where our creations are being enjoyed this Easter weekend.
I will keep this short and sweet, as we want to take advantage of nature on this beautiful Easter day.
First, a quick recap and extension of gratitude to everyone who has been helping our efforts to raise money for rescue rabbits.
Currently between the three auctions we held and the sales during the two-week Easter Sale, where 10% of proceeds are also being added to our fund raising efforts, we have raised $242 so far!
Yay!
We are hoping that between today and end of tomorrow, when the sale ends, that we can continue to get in a last hopping push and so the bunnies inspired me to add an additional 10% to the already 20% off we are offering in the shop, which truly puts things at leaping steals.
Everything in our shop is all available at incredible prices that include FREE shipping in the U.S. and in many cases, barely covering costs, but we are here to spread the joy and support the passions in our hearts!

Easter Basket Auction for Rescue Rabbits, Everything Now 20% Off Easter Sale & Payment Plans at The Magick Rabbit
So, yesterday Astrid and my rabbit loves in the stars inspired me to create an Easter Auction to help raise money for rescue rabbits. We always like to give to help the bunnies, and do this sporadically when one of our favorite non-profits is in need of help, but also at least once a year. We’d like to create an auction as our contribution to supporting other ways to gift people at Easter than to purchase a bunny on a whim, while also being able to add to our donations we’ll contribute for this year.
In light of this, we’re going to be holding an auction on all three platforms we host – yes it is going to keep our bunny senses on full alert to manage, but feel it’s the best way we can raise the most for the bunnies.
This is the way the Auction will go.
Auction starts now and will end at 9pm PST on Monday, April 15th.
Bidding starts at $10 with at least $1 bidding increments.
For anyone here on my blog that wants to be part of the bidding, please place your bid in the comment section below. I will be monitoring the bidding across three platforms and will update where the bidding is at, so that you can see if you want to place another bid. If you do, simply place your new bid in the same comment section. You’re going to want to pay attention to the comments for potential updates from me.
It will work differently on Instagram and Facebook.
I may have created a monster for me to manage, but it doesn’t take place that often and I’m willing to do so for the bunnies.

Astrid and the bunnies are super excited about so many things right now, including how mom is 100% back to her writing full time and what that means. They’re also pretty delighted about Spring time and all of the tiny forest creatures that are coming around more again – can’t wait to see if our bunny friends will be back! They are anxious to see if mom is going to replant the Garden Tower and what flowers will be popping up alongside all of the irises pushing up and blooming right now.
And yes, they really, really want to encourage Easter gift-giving not to involve rabbits unless people are committed to a lifetime of companionship and guardianship with their rabbit family.
So, they have prompted mom to include ALL items in our shop for the Easter Sale, so that all of the new items can also be a part of the offering. And a 10% portion of proceeds will be included in rabbit rescue donations.

We are about 1/2 sold out of mini rabbit faery gardens now, but some of my favorites remain and all at incredible prices including some of the larger, vintage, or unique item pieces. There is only 1 glass terrarium mini garden left.
We have of course many whimsical choices that make wonderful Easter gifts, instead of buying a rabbit this season.

An Easter Message from Astrid
Mirror…mirror…Astrid sends bunny kisses and wishes everyone a Hoppy Easter filled with peace, love, and joy!
Astrid says, “Rabbits are not Easter toys and DO NOT make good Easter gifts. We need a commitment for life to all of our special needs and are not low maintenance. Although we love children, we really need sensitive care so please educate yourself about us and if you feel you can meet our needs, please adopt from a rescue or shelter. We are the third most euthanized animals and likely the most misunderstood.
Rabbits & Pagan Easter

Easter has Pagan origins that bring to light a deeper understanding of its meaning. Easter is connected to the Anglo-Saxon Pagan goddess Eostre (or Ostara), but was originally the celebration of Ishtar (pronounced “Easter”), the Assyrian and Babylonian goddess of love, procreation, sexuality, fertility, and war. The dyed “cosmic” eggs were both “sacred Easter offerings in Egypt,” as well as are connected to the “mystic egg” that hatched Ishtar.

As N.S. Gill shares in The Eostre Hares and Pagan Easter:
“An Anglo-Saxon goddess named Eostre may have had hares as attendants. If so, the hares may have held her lights, since Eostre was the goddess of Dawn, like Eos (Greek) and Aurora (Latin). The month of April was, among the Anglo-Saxons, called Eostur-monath, and during Eostur-monath, a festival was held to Eostre. This festival has, at least in name, been taken over by the Christian spring festival Easter. If Eostre did indeed have hares as companions, the association of Easter and Easter bunnies is an ancient one.”

This brings to mind the Cosmic Egg I so love…the potent alchemy from which creation potential births from within each of us.
So let’s embrace our innocence and experience life directly and clearly as it is in the delight of this moment. Let go of how things should be and enjoy what is. Imagine and then actualize your creative inspirations.
Easter is also a time when a lot of people, unfortunately, give baby bunnies as gifts to their children and without full understanding of the commitment and special care these precious and extremely sensitive living beings need. Because of this Easter carries varying feelings for me in terms of rabbits, knowing that it’s an especially high time of year for this to take place – a time when rabbits may be seen more as a novelty, later neglected, forgotten, mistreated, and even euthanized.
If you are guided to get a rabbit at this time or any time, please do your research or ask rabbit experts, your local rabbit rescue/shelter, or even message me with your questions.
If you decide to bring home a bunny after thorough research and understanding your commitment to this life-long partnership with him or her, then please adopt from your local shelter or rescue. Rabbits are the third most euthanized animals and there are many in need of homes and love from responsible souls.
