A short post today, mainly to introduce the next episode of Talks With Crystal Skulls and just a few reflections I was guided to share – not to mention welcoming in a new month. Yay February and birthday month! Can you believe we’re already a month into 2024?

I love that today’s episode is #5 and it lands on my dear twin soul’s birthing (Nestor), who began the messaging of my favorite number right after she passed. And this messaging has continued with all my dear ones that have transitioned back to the stars. I also love that February is the official “Adopt a Rescued Rabbit Month” – how fitting is that? And although I’m not adopting a rabbit, I do have five that still grace my life with their magick and wisdom.

Just as fast as we’ve hit the second month of this new year, it’s amazing to think that Nestor was born onto this Earth plane now 21 years ago – Wow!

Queen Nestor is pure royalty, indeed, just like Astrid. You can see how proudly she wears her New Years hat like a crown – perfect for the upcoming Year of the Wood Dragon. Nestor loves dragons and was depicted with them in my painting “Air” of the In Lak’ech series of Five.

I’m celebrating Nestor with this sweet collage of some of the only photos I have of her, since that was a time cell phones were not a thing yet. I sure do love you dear Nestor and miss our magickal times in the physical together.

I love that February 1st, Imbolc, is her birthday portal – the halfway mark between Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox. It’s so fitting that she led me to find this blog post from 5 (yes five) years ago, today.

The message in it from Astrid I feel is so on point with current collective experiences, that I felt guided to share it again: Ask Astrid Fridays ~ The Rabbit’s Corner: Your Higher Heart Can Free You

If you don’t read the full post, I’m copying part of the message she shared with me that I hope will speak to some of you navigating more challenging, darker, and grief-filled experiences. This is a story of how Astrid got trapped in the bathroom and what she gleaned and provided the wisdom for in her amazing ways – just like Nestor and all of my powerful soul companions in animal bodies have.

As I reached for the old vintage door knob and opened it, I saw her sitting on top of the toilet seat staring at me. She had in fact been closed into the dark bathroom and decided if she couldn’t get out the way she came in, she’d get higher, sit still, and hope I’d hear her heart in answer to my calls of her name.

“So what does this have to do with your message for today, Astrid?” I ask.

She replies, “This was my way of identifying with the people who find themselves struggling and feeling trapped in a dark place they can’t find a way out of. It happens to all of us and to struggle more is like sinking deeper into quicksand. It simply won’t help. These are the times to find your center, sit still while immersed in the dark, and elevate into your higher heart so that you can send and receive the clearest communication of love to where it’s needed the most, within and without.”

“What do you mean?” I ask.

“Well, when you feel lost, lonely, in pain, and are struggling, much of this involves a separation from love – the most expansive and unconditional kind. The gap grows wider between your ability to understand things because you enter the mind’s reasoning alone and abandon the heart’s knowing. While I sat in the dark I could feel all of that fear and anxiety – mine and the collective’s rush through me – and realized I could either go mad trying to claw my way a tunnel through impossible doors, OR I could elevate my heart and mind and open to a wider perspective that would free me. I could move into my higher heart and find the well of love there I could use to create the peace I needed for myself and the situation, while I calmed myself and used that clarity of heart to speak to you in the language of love telepathy that I knew would reach your heart,” Astrid explains.

To say I’m grateful to these incredible souls is an understatement. I’ve learned and grown the most because of them. I know no difference between human or animal. Once you learn the language of Love, you will understand there’s no limit to consciousness simply based on the body it resides in at this moment.

We’re in the midst of the first of two much needed Winter storms here, which looks like it will have February bringing us the most snow so far of the season – if the predictions are correct between now and next weekend. I had a feeling February could kick things in more, but this Winter has been unpredictable. Things shift every time they say snow is coming and it either turns to rain or nothing because of the higher-than-average temperatures. Of course it’s the opposite to last year’s historical year – doing that balancing act – but it’s been quite unusual with temperatures at times even rising into the 50’s, which is not a Sierra Nevada Winter norm.

Anyway, things are all over the place with energies for sure, and yet I feel more grounded and expansive than ever. I shared this yesterday on my Instagram page, but it felt resonant for today’s post:

I’ve been reflecting a lot and therefore less shares because of how much things are shifting. Energies are moving rapidly, and so much unpredictability is abound. Finding your balance helps to navigate your course through the twists and turns. We’ve oscillated between Autumn and Winter temperatures here, as we await the first of two storms that may get us back into the Winter swing. Nothing’s guaranteed, but the more we lean into the heart, it makes sense out of the senseless.

I find that the less structure and defining helps me to merge more organically with that free flow of energy and the streams of consciousness. Trying to only make order out of things like the left brain knows well with its analyzing and pulling for evidentiary logic, bypasses innate wisdom and divine harmony already present.

This is one of the things I’ve become so grateful for in having the guidance of wise beings like my soul family in animal bodies and crystalline and stone forms. The Speakers – a collective of souls that speak through the skulls that are in my presence – have exponentially supported the origin of ways my essence feels most at home with. The codings they weave I can’t express in words, but they reveal our way to the home we always were, at our eternal depths.

I haven’t yet done a session for myself, as each one for others or the collective has supported this expansion of essence ✨️ I am curious though.

For now, I’m listening… so so deeply…as it’s in those depths that much is revealed.

May these storms bring some much needed snow and support the deepest dives yet.

And speaking of deep dives, there are quite a few rabbit holes I’ve been hopping down, and the Ancient energies, especially Egyptian, have been connective dots for things unfolding.

I feel I’ll be sharing a bit more about that in the next episode of Talks With Crystal Skulls and this is also why I’m dedicating the next two episodes – 5 and 6 – to touching in with Egypt and those energies, as well as conversations with Mody Ra, but more to the point – bringing through that Ancient Egyptian portal access point for the undercurrent energies that I feel unearthing.

But back to today’s episode…this one is a short inside look at Mody’s workspace in Egypt and a bit of the carving process. He can only show us one small part because working with stones is a messy process that covers him in white dust and would be too hard to film, but the carving also takes hours (sometimes days, depending on details) since many of the stones are very hard material. The main focus is to be with him in Egypt and get a feel and look at the birthing process of a skull with Mody.

It’s a fun and light prelude to our next deep dive into Ancient Egyptian stones and their energies.
