Be – Don’t Try to Become


It’s such an interesting dichotomy that we have to retrain ourselves to be natural, and yet life is full of dichotomies. The more we remember, the more we simply embody rather than need a formal process to be ourselves. I’m resharing this short blog as reminder, which includes some words from Osho: “……Drop the idea of becoming someone, because you are already a masterpiece. You cannot be improved. You have only to come to it, to know it, to realize it. Be – don’t try to become.”

flash of light from a dying starMy meditation is a way of being that doesn’t require any complex practices, although I may choose to focus my attention if so moved to, as that is free will.

However, I find that the more aligned with the nature of who I am, the more formalities drop away. Everything is simply about that seamlessness of being the harmony of me in balance.

That very fullness of experience when you are like that instance of a flash of light birthing forth from a dying star, is when you have come to know freedom and that any ideology or practice is simply not a requirement to “be”.

I find myself most at home in the wilderness of life…the great Cosmic outdoors. A place where timelessness is the blending of horizons between sea and mountain, land and sky, Earth and Cosmos, body and soul.
