Tania Marie: Slow & Sacred Holiday Break ~ Harmonizing Fire & Water

Returning home I already feel like a hibernating bear. I’ve been relishing in long restful nights, retreating into myself, and enjoying the storms that just kicked in two days after we settled back.

They began the 19th, coinciding with the new moon and celebrating a prelude to Solstice. They are bringing nonstop rain that’s supposed to turn to snow soon. So there’s a good chance we’ll have a white Christmas.

A person standing beside a beautifully decorated Christmas tree with vibrant ornaments and colorful flowers in a festive setting.

A very different reality than what we just returned from, as I’ll share in a moment.

But alongside catching up and prepping for the holiday and year’s end, I’ve noted wild energies in the background as 2025 comes to closure. There’s a continued theme of splitting realities very clearly taking place and everyone choosing completely different experiences. Dramatic and intense on one end and flow and ease on the other, with all variations in between. But even within the more flowing realities, I also see and experience multidimensionality unfolding.

There is no longer awareness of just a singular path and operating in more than one world at once is not only possible, but probable.

When things become intense, we have a tendency to tighten, fight, or withdraw (maybe even fully check out) – hardening ourselves in ways that shuts out our true voice and light, inevitably adding layers of stress to the mix.

I find that softening helps me to stay present to higher self guidance, reigning in ego that might otherwise want to go on the attack or shrivel away from a false sense of feeling defeated.

Softening helps you reclaim your true emotional power, deepens connection, calms the nervous system, and enhances intuition. A gratitude soak in tender presence does wonders for the alchemy of your heart and helps you stay in alignment.

That’s one of the gifts I loved about our recent time away, was the extra space for presence I had amidst these crazy energies swirling collectively. It’s invaluable to me to focus on the reality I want to create and embody that as much as possible. And yes, that could be more than one reality too. We are limitlessly creative beings.

A cruise ship at sunset, showcasing the top deck with clear skies and vibrant clouds in the background.

It’s been quite active this year here, so a different kind of getaway that would allow spaciousness for ourselves felt in order.

These days, this kind of intentional crafting of how time is spent feels extra important and integral to how everything else in life unfolds. Too much focus is on giving our creative power and energy away to so many external things.

Mindfulness is a moment-to-moment practice that if disregarded, the world drags you along instead of you creating your own experience of the world.

A couple smiling for a selfie on a cruise ship with the Golden Gate Bridge in the background during sunset.

We decided on a cruise, but also wanted convenience with travel and found one that enabled us to drive to the port, sail, and drive back home after.

It was also a cruise that had many days of just sailing on the open ocean without anywhere to be, leaving it up to us to design each day, while having everything else taken care of.

Personally, I was excited about this as both a writing sabbatical to get a good flow going again, and as a way to just tune in and surrender to what has been coming through to prepare for the new year ahead.

It felt like the perfect mid-holiday reset to stay extra balanced while heightened activity is usually rampant during year’s end.

Slow, sacred work is accentuated by this time of year, as opposed to the way we’ve been accustomed to go about things.

A passenger walking down the stairs on the deck of a cruise ship, with the ocean visible in the background and cloudy skies above.

Dave had only ever been on one cruise in the past. I’ve been on a few – a couple growing up and one when I was in my early thirties. So, we used this as an experiment to see if it might be an addition to travels ongoing.

The resulting answer was a resounding yes. Of course, curating the type of cruise is still something that is key for anyone to know the kind you want and things you’re looking for on the ship itself. And, also how you want to curate your days while on the cruise. We seemed to have found a great balance and overall, found it exceeded our wishes.

A selfie of a man and woman on a cruise ship with a sunset in the background over the ocean.

The cruise was sixteen days to the Hawaiian Islands and Ensenada with eleven full sailing days just out in the Pacific Ocean, five port stops, and then the return morning of the seventeenth day. The sailing days allowed us to design a unique experience and this is where the cruise became a blend of solo and shared ones. Our room had a private balcony offering us an oceanfront sanctuary.

A person's feet resting on a lounge chair, overlooking the ocean from a cruise ship balcony. The scene captures a peaceful moment with clouds and blue sky in the background.

I spent most of my days on the balcony, writing, reading, relaxing, sunning, and receiving the energy of the ocean and full moon, which happened to kick off things with this trip.

I felt more than content…I was in my personal heaven.

A person with long, wavy hair wearing a wide-brimmed hat and a light-colored top, smiling gently while sitting outside, with a partial view of a building in the background.

I did check out three classes, once each – Tai Chi, Salsa, and Line Dancing, but ultimately discovered I loved my private time more, which balanced out the rest of the day amidst people where I would go to the gym in the morning, have meals in the dining areas and buffets (including a five course gourmet menu at each restaurant plus dessert), pick up a special coffee, walk laps around the deck by sun or moonlight, and listen to evening entertainment or catch a show.

Dave especially enjoyed his daily ukulele classes and sitting in on some talks about wildlife and the islands. He actually got to perform in one of the last evening’s shows with his ukulele class, accompanied by hula dance guests who had also been practicing the entire cruise to get ready for this.

A large group of performers dressed in colorful attire stands on stage with palm trees and a blue sky in the background. An audience watches from below, some people taking photos.

I loved getting to know the employees and seeing them each day and evening. You become regulars at your favorite spots and look forward to the live music and conversations. I actually miss them now.

There were many fun mocktails for me to enjoy, so bar hopping was a treat.

It was fun following around our favorite musicians at their performance times and taking in each spot that were just a couple of minutes apart.

There’s really no where else I can think of that you can do this so easily. My favorite was Oliver’s piano bar lounge act who always had me laughing and smiling the whole way through his show.

We also took in a few shows, but the music scene was our favorite relaxing venues to unwind and enjoy the talent.

I also loved the festive energy, with Christmas trees everywhere and holiday celebrations lighting up the energy of the ship.

It was so much fun to have an excuse each evening to get dressed up and finish off the night with a Christmas tree or other fun find photo.

Living in the mountains, we mostly spend our time outdoors, with the occasional event, and always eat at home unless meeting up with friends for a lunch.

And of course there was the ocean….my favorite part.

I literally shift into a different aspect of myself, depending on where I am – as we are all multidimensional beings…but the ocean reflects the depth of my heart.

As a Pisces, I LOVE being on the ocean and the more movement I can feel, the better.

The water is pure bliss for me.

I slept so good rocked by the water. It’s my personal sweet lullaby for sure.

Waking in the night to see the full moon over the water, getting up to see the sunrise, and watching sunset were definite highlights.

Each one was so magickal!

Being on the water so long was like a birthing womb for me and I recognized right away that this is where I was meant to be for current energies streaming in. Kind of like showing up at a grid point of precise cosmic alignment for clearest channeling opportunity.

A close-up of a crescent moon against a clear blue sky.

We left on December 1st and the full moon was on the 4th.

A full moon illuminated against a sky filled with soft, colorful clouds during twilight.

I got to watch the moon shapeshift and illuminate the mystical skies.

A close-up view of a full moon in a clear sky with a slightly illuminated halo around it.

I noted that after settling in a few days on the water my crown chakra started to experience the recalibrating pulses I am used to only when new energy is coming in strong. I could feel my crown pulse and throb as it was activated and this resulted in my body needing to just be for a couple of hours each day when it did.

A full moon partially obscured by dark clouds, creating a mystical atmosphere.

It would subside after that and start up the next day like it was coming in waves and each time was different. This took place right before, during, and couple of days after the full moon until we landed at our first stop – the Big Island of Hawaii. It felt to be an initiation.

A bright full moon glowing in a dark sky with subtle clouds around it.

It was perfect because I was sitting on the balcony when these incidents would kick in strongest and it was like a beautiful nurturing invitation from the ocean to lay there and surrender while she swaddled me in the frequencies to assist the process.

A serene view of the ocean under a bright, full moon, with clouds softly scattered in the sky, reflecting light on the water's surface.

This, I find to be the most supportive – the surrender and allowing. So I relaxed into the integration taking place and released any need to do things.

We often disregard this kind of presence, labeling it as lazy or not accomplishing anything when in fact it is an intentional and sacred act where the internal world is extremely busy – you just don’t see it. It’s also essential for supporting, integrating, and aligning your external actions – one does not work without the other because that’s the nature of unity consciousness.

A bright full moon surrounded by a halo of clouds in the night sky.

My own birth moon energies relish in the need for quiet and spiritually retreating to be with my feelings and experiences alone.

A full moon shining brightly in the night sky, surrounded by soft clouds.

This cruise was so perfect for that and I truly valued being able to just be with the ocean of my essence.

Full moon surrounded by dark clouds, illuminating the night sky.

I have a very deep, private emotional landscape that requires specific types of nurturing and has particular kinds of needs.

I deepened into embrace of it all with this last potent moon of 2025.

And found illuminating clarity in both the shadow and light that the new energy was upleveling.

A dark, moody seascape depicting turbulent clouds above the ocean, with shimmering light reflecting off the water.

Over the course of the first five days on the ocean, I saw the most consecutive rainbows ever.

A scenic view of the ocean under a partly cloudy sky, featuring a subtle rainbow in the distance.

They would show up at every side of the ship when I looked out across the expansive horizon and also as punctuation points.

I even saw a full arc rainbow in the water itself, which I’ve never seen before.

And the rainbows continued at the port stops like a welcoming, including a double rainbow.

The first touchdown after five days on the ocean was the Big Island – my second time back to this home of four active volcanoes. I feel them as the blood of the Earth pulsing with creative force and reflective of the blood pulsing through our human veins. Hence, the island is continually growing, as lava releases and turns to rock – creating more Earth. The Root Chakra awakens as the island is full of life force and vitality. Mauna Loa is the largest, active volcano on Earth so being here is a way to literally dive into these most primal depths.

A volcanic eruption sending a plume of smoke and ash into the sky, with lava visible at the base.

It just so happened that episode 38 of Kilauea Volcano started just after our ship had ported and literally right at the exact time of disembarking on a private e-bike tour to Volcanoes National Park.

A volcanic eruption showing red lava spewing from the crater, with smoke billowing into the sky, capturing the dynamic and powerful nature of the eruption.

The force and activation of this eruption was incredible and awe-inspiring. It sustained for 12.1 hours with rare triple fountains – up to 1100 feet – and one spouting like an arch for the first time (our guide said) that actually took out one of the webcams because of the unusual direction it flowed.

A volcanic eruption with bright red lava spewing into the air, surrounded by billowing gray smoke and distant landscape.

It was a very rare, awesome gift to be in presence of and is unlikely to happen more than once in a lifetime if you don’t actually live there.

A volcanic eruption with a plume of smoke and ash rising into a blue sky, accompanied by visible lava flow at the base.

You could hear the force and feel the heat even a mile away.

An erupting volcano spewing bright orange lava and smoke into the air, contrasting against a dark volcanic landscape.
A close-up view of lava erupting from a volcano, with bright orange molten rock contrasting against a smoky background.

To be there at the exact timing spoke of energetic alignment and deep connection for me given we landed there for just hours of one day.

A volcanic eruption produces a large plume of smoke and ash rising into the sky, with bright lava visible at the base, surrounded by a barren landscape.

After the full supermoon potency of crown chakra activation – again telling me to surrender and receive the energies, relax and allow – more layers of this experience became clear.

A volcanic eruption showing a plume of smoke and ash rising into the sky with bright red lava flowing from the crater.

It was a timed rewiring and initiation that arriving to the islands helped root and integrate. The manifestation of rainbows after rainbows were confirming.

A volcanic eruption with smoke and lava flow amidst a backdrop of trees and a cloudy sky, viewed from a distance with onlookers observing the scene.

Being greeted by the eruption spoke powerfully to me, was anchoring and also a welcoming back.

A volcanic eruption with lava flowing and thick smoke billowing into the sky, set against a cloudy background and rugged terrain.

As you might recall, for my 50th birthday trip there I connected a lot with Pele and felt a sacred dance shared in the alchemy of her energy.

A volcanic eruption displaying a towering plume of grey smoke and bright red lava, contrasting against a blue sky with scattered clouds.

I experienced a reclaiming of core Root energy then, as she cradled me in her creative womb.

A volcanic eruption with billowing gray smoke and bright orange lava, showcasing a dramatic display of nature's power.

I was claiming the empowerment of my own life force and rewriting lineages of patterning.

A person stands in front of a volcanic eruption, wearing sunglasses and a blue jacket, with smoke and lava visible in the background.

Her eruption, this time, was pure magick and extremely nurturing. There was this synergy between our energetic bodies where I didn’t know where she and I started and ended. The cosmic precision of crown chakra recalibration had then moved into primal root chakra release, and harmonizing was in order.

And literally right after experiencing the eruption for a couple of hours, biking all around the crater to see and connect with it from different angles, my crown chakra completely did just that. Upon driving to the volcano things had increased and my body was in a liminal space. Then poof, gone! Eruption transmutation and a new calm, filled deep passionate joy anchored.

So from ocean and moon heightening, I experienced earth and volcanic deepening – releasing the pressure, alchemizing it, and bringing the energies into balance for new creative emergence.

Fire and water were harmonizing in partnership on this trip and I became aware of how to move these energies within in ways that they can dance together and be a combined force, rather than separate.

There is fire behind my water indeed.

And water flowing through my fire.

After the volcano journey with the molten lava force, the guide took us to a black lava sand beach we’d been to the first time as well.

This gifted sighting of eight beautiful green sea turtles basking in the sunshine atop the lava rock.

A group of green sea turtles basking on black lava rocks near the ocean, with one turtle swimming in the water and people in the background enjoying the beach.
Two sea turtles resting on a rocky shore near the water.

The sea turtles truly embody the wisdom of both that fluidity and grace in the water and the sacred grounded presence.

And the appearance of this rainbow energy coming toward me in opposite direction to the sunlight from above my crown showed up.

Notice the tree has an upside down heart in it as well.

A person stands beneath a large tree by the ocean, wearing a white top and blue skirt, with sunlight and a rainbow effect enhancing the scene.

Both my inner dragon and ancient turtle energy were all swirling within me in this void of creation at my core. It was both peaceful and potent. Fire and water…a beautiful alchemy weaving a new reality.

There are more intimate layers to this experience that left me speechless.

Never more than now do I feel the splitting of worlds, but when the depth of your parts are integrated and transmuted, there is wholeness where your new door leads.

It was a blessing to see and be a midwife of this birthing both within and without.

Each port stop held something beautiful to unwrap – beach and swimming time, connecting with an ancient banyan tree, enjoying vegan food delights, tropical hikes immersing in the land and majestic peaks, and snorkeling adventures.

We visited Hawaii, Oahu, Kauai, and Maui.

Maui magick concluded the light codes that awaited me in the Hawaiian Islands, as our last port stop there. It continued in the vein of pure heart connection and embodied harmony, reflecting a celebration of love, joy, beauty and cosmic channeling.

Journeying on a five-hour catamaran eco-tour thru the wonder of Maui’s pristine waters became another welcoming party bursting my heart open wider like the flying fish all around us soared.

A clear view of the ocean with gentle waves under a blue sky dotted with clouds, featuring a distant island on the horizon.

We stopped first at Turtle Arches where underwater lava formations can be found and this is where a sea turtle came to say hello, gracefully gliding thru the liquid starlight. She came straight at us and I couldn’t help but feel the presence of my dear tortoise Gaia, who left my side years ago, in those cosmic eyes. A cosmic dance went on a couple of minutes before she disappeared into the watery abyss.

A collage of four images showing a whale surfacing and diving in the ocean, capturing its fins and the water splashing around.

Then on the way to the crescent-shaped Molokini Crater, humpback whales during the very beginning of their mating season gave quite a display of welcoming and joy too.

Their songs had actually been heard in the water long before seeing them. It was such awe to be in their presence.

This was only supposed to be a snorkeling adventure, not a whale or dolphin watching tour, so all of this was icing on the cake that no one had expected. The captain said he’s also never had the crater area private before for snorkeling. The colorful and exotic fish and coral were extraordinary and a juvenile whitetip reef shark was a beautiful gift to experience during the second round of snorkeling – each being sharing amazing energy.

On the way back, more humpback whales made sure to say goodbye.

A sequence of four images capturing a humpback whale breaching the surface of the water, with the whale's fin and tail visible against the backdrop of distant hills.

Then, after that the ship quieted, people returned to their seats or went back inside. I remained at the front by myself (my favorite place to be) for quite some time, connecting more deeply with the ocean, the creatures here, and the love in my heart I was outflowing. I was engaged in a very beautiful and intimate experience within that overwhelmed me to sacred depths.

And just when one thought it might all be over, that’s when suddenly a pod of spinner dolphins appeared, mirroring the love and joy I felt and was sharing.

A lot of sound healing elements were being transmitted, which will be key for the next doorway.

A dolphin swimming gracefully in the deep blue ocean water.

They leapt with joy and glided like love rockets through the water.

A collage of four images depicting whales and dolphins swimming in the ocean.
A montage of four images showing dolphins swimming in the deep blue ocean waters, with a boat's edge in the foreground.

Just look at them go!

It couldn’t have been a more extraordinary day – none of which is guaranteed to see. I’ve visited the islands before, but these shorter day stops I’ve come to see were grid points for me to both help activate and receive activation from – hence very deliberate touchdowns, timing and experiences that were nothing short of divine alignments.

I hope you can also feel and connect with the energy – perhaps being the perfect alignment as you conclude your own end-of-year process. I deleted the sound from some videos where there was too much talking from people around that felt distracting to the energy.

We then had five more ocean days, concluding with an Ensenada port stop, followed by a last voyage day at sea.

A person standing next to a large sign that reads 'PUERTO DE ENSENADA', with greenery in the background.

In Ensenada we opted to just do a brief walk through town and take advantage of relaxing while people were out and about. None of the excursions really spoke to us.

A scenic view of a tranquil marina featuring sailboats and a hillside in the background, reflecting calm waters.

A touch-in felt enough and sea lions seemed to agree, as they bid me a farewell from my balcony sanctuary.

A sea lion floating in the water near a green navigation buoy.

There were many blessings and abundant gifts on this journey. Again, being on the ocean for so long was supportive for my surrendering deeper into that personal frequency flow, swaddled in the cosmic ocean womb. I was in a suspended sacred vessel of transmutation at very core levels and this felt most important right now for upcoming preparations.

Letting go, embracing the invitations, and trusting are powerful ways for new doorways to open.

I did a lot of that and even when things came through that didn’t seem to make sense or felt scary, I stretched into trusting even more.

Yet, even though I was able to find my flow with things, as I mentioned at the start, the energies abound are intense and will affect us all differently. That was reflected in some unusual events while on board including not one, but two emergency medical evacuations by helicopter (very rare) out in the middle of the ocean that took place on our ship. I sent prayers and Reiki to these people, as well as the other four people on board that announcements were made for medical help to be sent to their rooms.

The water realms hold seeds of emotional and subconscious wisdom, hidden riches, the power of the shadow, deep inner worlds of dreams and spiritual potentials. These are the areas that drive the outer experience, can be most challenging to navigate, and are essentially at the core of what we see evolving in the world. This takes profound vulnerability to embrace, which isn’t always easy with the layers upon layers to explore that don’t come with a guidebook for the journey.

I experienced some profound realizations on this journey that will shape the next year and forward quite differently.

Some extraordinary things unfolded indeed, some too personal to share, but Mother Earth’s expressions, the Divine grace that streamed through, and some sacred connections brought soulful tears of recognition and also immense joy from the depths of my soul to discover.

A woman with long, flowing hair wearing a straw hat and a red dress, smiling and standing in front of green foliage.

It’s incredible how much more can crack open within the vortex of our hearts, especially when we are willing to face ourselves.

Returning home is always a bitter sweet experience, but in all honesty, true home is in my heart and that can be accentuated through a place, person, or experience of aligned frequency.

When we are most fully embodying essence, then these reflections express in profound ways. The synergy is amplified and that creates what feels and looks like magick.

It also doesn’t hurt if you walk through life with open hand and open heart.

A person wearing a turquoise dress and belt stands in front of a detailed black and white patterned wall that features floral and fish designs.

I’ll repeat again….

Your inner world creates your experience. Not the other way around.

It’s only in the moments when I relinquish this truth that I find myself off-course or stressed. When left to my own devices, this is never the case and that’s actually a choice. Coming back to that awareness in each moment something triggers or swings you away from your home zone will help course correct the energy.

So, that’s where I choose to stay…open hearted.

This is one of my favorite photos from the cruise, below.

A person sitting on a large, ornate blue chair with golden detailing in a stylish interior setting.

I discovered this magickal chair in the back of a bar that was later removed and never appeared again after this photo.

It brings to mind this quote, as I was feeling very Alice in Wonderland.

“Why, sometimes I’ve believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.” ~ from Alice in Wonderland

Faith is believing in the divine as a daily practice even when it defies logic and what you think as reality.

Blessings can appear where and when you least expect them if you never give up hope.

Stay curious. Feed your imagination. Cultivate an open mind. And trust with all of your heart.

New doors will always open once others have closed.

The extraordinary is just a belief away.

Merry sweetness to all from my heart to yours, and many blessings for however you celebrate this holiday time.

I wish you much peace, harmony, grace, and flow.

I’ll probably share one more post before year’s end, but have been told there won’t be any more crystal releases until maybe the start of 2026.
