Commissioned as a wedding gift for a New York couple with a love for the beach and their dog, Rufus. I created an image that was a romantic fusion and integration between the sky and water, reflecting and enhancing one another, just as partners in life do, sharing qualities, yet unique and mirroring of each other. I also wanted a very spiritual/celestial feel to the sky to balance the earthy quality of the sand below with all elements melding one into the other, the air element of sky with firey sun, firey air with water, water with earth and the spiritual essence emanating throughout. I chose to create Rufus' energy to match this "in reflection" quality, utilizing one of the photos I was given, but adding a maturity to his innocence from his adult photo, so it is him, not quite puppy and yet not quite adult, just like the blossoming growth process of a relationship.

Pets are our best friends, children, companions and soulmates and in many cases are the dearest gifts in our lives ~ always there unconditionally to support and love us. I know that many have recently and over the years lost dear ones and currently have new members in their family, or have those that have been with them through thick and thin for years. So, in honor of these dear ones that bring invaluable joy to our lives in immeasurable ways, I am offering this service.
Many loving requests, my own deep connection to animals, honor for all the dear ones in need of healing from the disasters globally & support of animals as a vegan, are my inspired passions behind doing these creations to capture the essence & spiritual beauty of our beloved animals. I have two dear ones myself, a tortoise named Gaia and lop-earred bunny named Joy and 2 years ago lost the dearest soul in my life, Nestor (also a lop-earred bunny, pictured above). I know the significance they hold and have a gift in capturing the essence, spirit and personality of animals. So I am offering pet portraits to honor that love. Each painting is infused with Reiki, with intention to support the bond and connection you have with them, as well as is intended to surround both of you with healing love.
